Let's do this. Welcome everybody to another episode of the Game of Traffic Show. I'm your host, mike Sampson. Show them my co-host. Simply amazing what I'm doing today. Everybody give it up for Mr Amazing. On today's Game of Traffic Show, we're going to talk about Mr Amazing, the godfather of gaming. Nintendo has recently announced Nintendo Switch is real son.
Speaker 2:It's here. It's here. We got a sneak peek and we know we're going to get more coming on April 2nd. But Nintendo Switch has finally finally showed their hands Like a poker hand that you've been waiting forever to see.
Speaker 1:Yeah, okay, mr Amazing, let's see the hand has actually gotten bigger. A bigger screen else has a bigger kickstand. It does yo bigger everything so far, but that's bigger mean better we don't know that.
Speaker 2:That's the key thing. But the most important thing is that we no longer have a sliding mechanic to hook up the joysticks to the console. It looks like it's gonna be magnetic so I think that's one of the bigger features on that.
Speaker 1:But people scared my break for some.
Speaker 2:Yeah, you know I do magnetic. You never know. It could be more flimsy, it could be so many things, but we won't know until we touch it. But Intel is pretty good at doing hardware, so I think we'll be all right with that route.
Speaker 1:Yeah, same thing Xbox thought with the 360, right.
Speaker 2:That's true too I mean, I'm anticipating a pretty good thing, but I have a lot of questions, because we don't know if it's HD, we don't know if it's OLED. That's the thing we don't know, but the price point that they're flirting around makes me believe it is an OLED system.
Speaker 1:to be honest with you, no, the last one was OLED, so it's going to be OLED.
Speaker 2:We don't know that, though, because remember.
Speaker 1:It's going to be OLED.
Speaker 2:The price point that they're flirting with. Do you want to get the price down or do you want to wait for the no wait?
Speaker 1:for the price. The only thing, the key thing is the Nintendo Switch, the original Switch is the games up the Nintendo Switch 2, which is a key factor.
Speaker 2:People's worried about that. It has to be, come on, the kind of library that Nintendo has to have the back of compatible and the Joy-Cons are practically the same.
Speaker 2:They pretty much are. That's why I feel like it is going to be OLED, because that price point is very high. And I'm saying price point because it's not confirmed, but it's a very steady talk within the community and the people, industry, guys and girls that are saying that. I'm going to say it out there. They have it as a price point as $449. That's pretty steep for Nintendo. I must say I didn't think it would be that high. We're making our predictions.
Speaker 1:Yeah, we'll dive more into it. But also the thing I saw in the video is the Joy-Cons with the mouse light. They run around the mouse light. They like run around the mouse light, feature like a computer mouse and there's like a little connection that you make it like a mouse, a feature nobody's going to use.
Speaker 2:That's interesting A feature. Like I said, nobody's going to use.
Speaker 1:Come on man.
Speaker 2:I saw what you're talking about, but I thought that was just more animation to reveal the system. I didn't think it was to be used as a mouse, like on a computer. It's something it might be because Nintendo does get creative, so it might be a feature that is used. But you know, we'll find out.
Speaker 1:We'll find out. Remember the Nintendo box thing, the Nintendo Switch box thing? It wasn't for us but, didn't it do?
Speaker 2:well, it was the amazing one to get that. Yes, you did, you and your kids? Yes, you did. It was the amazing one. But what I wanted to get was the Mario Kart with the racing, the real racing one.
Speaker 1:I thought about that. That's the one I wanted to get, not the box.
Speaker 2:I had no interest in the box one.
Speaker 1:You're like Mr Maze is lying, I had no interest in the box.
Speaker 2:The Mario Kart one I did have. That was just like, yeah, they fine Slime.
Speaker 1:He wouldn't get it for his kids Because I know they wouldn't even enjoy that. I know my son.
Speaker 2:I know my nephews they wouldn't enjoy that. You mentioned your daughter, so yeah, At that time when that came out that she said he wouldn't get it for her. No, no, no. At the time when it came out, she was too young.
Speaker 1:She was too smart to go play that nonsense. Cashing out Nintendo. Gotta give credit for creativity. It is creativity, no disrespect. No disrespect, it was the Godfather game. That was kind of like eh, but like I said, creativity, gotta give credit for that.
Speaker 2:Trying to make artistic ways.
Speaker 1:Yes, mr Mazin, but, Mr Mazin, let's go ways. Yes, mr Mazes, but, mr Mazes, as you said, price point, because the original tennis switch launched in 2017 at a price point of $300.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and this is about $150 more.
Speaker 1:Yes, and according to Combootcom, it's saying that it's a possibility that the tennis switch will come in two buttons. It will come in as a console by itself. If you go by Japanese dollars, the yen, $499. $500 total. Yeah.
Speaker 2:Damn. I think I said two price points. I said one is $300. One is like $400. The other one is $450. But I was thinking you're going to the $500.
Speaker 1:But the $499 will include Mario Kart.
Speaker 2:Oh well, you might as well get that, because you gotta get a game makes no sense. That's the one I would get too, to be honest with you, and we did see what everyone was speculating to be Mario Kart 9, so that's another good news for us to know. That's positive. Mario 9 will probably be a launch game with the console, but that's for the price man. I think it's high. That's positive. Mario 9 will probably be a launch game with the console, but that's for the price man, I think it's high. And the only way you're going to sold me on that price point, it has to be OLED. It can't be nothing beyond the OLED. If you're going to go to that price point and not only does it have to be OLED the graphic has to be way more than we're accustomed to. When Nintendo drops a new system, it definitely has to be on that level as well.
Speaker 1:Yeah, the only thing. I'm going to the article combocom. The Nintendo Switch 2 is going to be available in two options. One of these options will be just the console, while the other option, bundle, will feature the new Mario Kart. So according to Convocom, it's either 499 yen or 499 yen. So basically, if you translate, to American dollars.
Speaker 1:But I'm just clarifying for everybody. So what does it mean in American dollars? If you convert it to America, $4.99 will mean $517.06. So meanwhile, converting $4.99 will be $465. Yeah, but my thing is and typically classes don't go for that type of price. It's either $350 or $500 sometimes. You see, sometimes when you do price cuts, you do see for Chris's $480, if it was originally $500, they'll do it for $480, or if it was originally $400, they'll do it for $370. You know what I'm saying. So those price cuts, those prices do happen. But like I said, like I told you before, I always thought it would be $500.
Speaker 2:You did say that I definitely didn't go that route. I never would have went that route, to be honest with you.
Speaker 1:If people were paying how much for the Steam Deck $500?
Speaker 2:Yes, but remember though, no, it doesn't have that many owners.
Speaker 1:Nintendo Switch. It's not even the same ballpark. It's not even the same ballpark. I want to say If I said Nintendo crushed it, it'd be flattering yeah.
Speaker 2:No, no, you're right. But by crushing we're saying the number sells, not because Nintendo is such a better system than it, it's because Nintendo is better priced than it. So I do want to get that point.
Speaker 1:No, no, no, no, no, no. It's Nintendo. No, it's Nintendo, it's Nintendo. Nintendo is a bigger brand, bigger name. No, of course, mario is a bigger brand, it's a longer too.
Speaker 2:Don't forget that, Nintendo, let's just forget. Let's take out the break. Nintendo is bigger than that, obviously, but the price does make a big difference.
Speaker 1:But if they came at the same time, it seems like we're still more expensive than the Switch.
Speaker 2:Exactly that's what I'm saying Because of the price. That's why I feel like Nintendo got to watch out with their, but I do think it's going to be up to that price point. I just wonder are we getting just a regular joystick? Does it, can we? You think they'll throw in a? I call it again.
Speaker 3:No.
Speaker 2:The regular controller, the, you know, like the regular new patch.
Speaker 1:Throw it in. For what do you mean throw it in?
Speaker 2:With that price that they're giving us, would they throw one in there? Throw one in there.
Speaker 1:I have an orange right here. I'm going to throw it at your head. No, no Later on they're going to probably induce other alternatives in the Joy-Con. Like I said, joy-cons are hurting my hands. I play Switch, mario Kart hurt my hands.
Speaker 2:I wanted the buds a little bit bigger on there too, to make it easier for people with fat fingers.
Speaker 1:I think the Joy pops out a little bit more From what I saw. Yeah, so it's still too small for me.
Speaker 2:Yeah, well, it is.
Speaker 1:I'll still have to buy a third-party or Nintendo first-party controller.
Speaker 2:That's not a joy card I always do for all my Nintendo systems but we didn't even say there is an extra button. That did add to it too, though. I don't know exactly what that button is for that's why I guess the April 2nd reveal will tell us what that button is for. They did add an extra button to it, so that's pretty interesting, yeah, so, but even interesting more.
Speaker 1:As reported by Nintendo Life, journalist Felipe Limo has spotted a list for a Take-Two Interactive Nintendo Switch 2 game that has a dimension listed and, mr Amazing, you go by the picture the box is bigger than the original Switch box for the games.
Speaker 2:Oh, I wonder. Why, though, are the games bigger?
Speaker 1:I was going to say like why? So we're taking more space on your shelf, mr Amazing.
Speaker 2:Eh, you know, I'm a hard copy person.
Speaker 1:So if we go into details of the box, it's believed the boxes are 5.1 inches, which is the original Switch box, and the new Switch 2 boxes for the games will be 7.7 inches, mr Amazing, okay, does it really make a difference? Not really. I mean, is it game instructions? Are they actually going to put game instructions inside there?
Speaker 2:This time. We haven't seen that in a long time.
Speaker 1:So you know what I'm saying. I don't know if they're going to put maps in there. I don't know what they're going to put in there Personal prizes, tickets but, mr Basie, if everybody's interested, in's already passed. You can register for Nintendo Switch experience and get your first hands on Nintendo Switch, but it's already passed. That happened on January 17th. You was able to go to a raffle, but you need to have a Nintendo account to get that opportunity to get involved in that and currently this event. I'm talking about the American dates. New York City this event be held from April 4th to the 6th. La 11th April 11th to the 13th. Dallas, april 25th to the 27th. Toronto, canada April 25th to the 27th. Please don't Trump the way. The tariffs on them come on man, and they'll also be doing other regions of the world as well.
Speaker 2:Well, that's good, that's good news. You know it's good to know. But can we jump into something else that I want to talk about? Nintendo.
Speaker 1:But I also want to tell you people are trying to get there and sell those tickets.
Speaker 2:Oh yeah, why? Because you want to make money, mr.
Speaker 1:Amazing.
Speaker 3:That's a dope experience, I think you should go to that. Because you want to make money.
Speaker 2:I mean I get it. I'm not going to be mad at people that want to get a couple of dollars.
Speaker 1:Yeah, but I could be go ahead, mr Amazing.
Speaker 2:Now what I wanted to jump into, if you don't mind me going into it now Go Games. We know Mario Kart 9 was one of them, but have you heard about some possible League games?
Speaker 1:The new Zelda game? I don't think.
Speaker 2:Zelda is coming out anytime soon. That I don't see yet. I think Zelda is a couple of years away. To be honest with you, you just had the last Zelda that came out. What A year ago was it? Was it a year ago, two years ago?
Speaker 1:Mario Prime. Well, we Not Prime.
Speaker 2:I mean Metro Prime, Metro Prime 4, I believe 4.
Speaker 1:Metro Prime, 4.
Speaker 2:Yeah, the one that's biggest, with a lot of it's a lot of heat behind it, and that's why I believe it a lot too, because Snake Eater Because that game was supposed to come out for so long and it hasn't and I think that's the one that a lot of people are saying is like heavy going to come out. But the biggest one that's rumored now and it's almost a reality, for a lot of people are saying is it's an Xbox game and it's going to be the Forza Horizon 5. Everyone is saying that's going to be dropping on the Switch too. That was catching a lot of heat, a lot of people saying that's one to look out for and I think that would be a great game on the Switch. Actually, it would have been a Switch 1 or 2.
Speaker 1:Yeah, but that would be a good game. It's going to every platform. It's amazing.
Speaker 2:No, I know, but remember.
Speaker 1:Nintendo doesn't always get you know. Xbox and most likely Nintendo Switch 2 as well.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that idea too, actually, but that's some of the few, along with, like 3D Super Mario the Zelda remake.
Speaker 1:they're saying. They're saying Zelda game will be on there, yeah obviously Pokemon, you know. You can't yell.
Speaker 2:Xenoblade Chronicles.
Speaker 1:You can't remember Nintendo Switch launch route. You know Pokemon.
Speaker 2:Come on. Yeah, I know, I know, so that's going to be big man.
Speaker 1:So you know, outside of that now, mike, I'm going to ask you no, go ahead.
Speaker 2:Release date what's your?
Speaker 1:prediction. Remember, I predicted with our earlier podcast. I thought it was going to come out like May April. I thought it was going to follow the same format.
Speaker 2:I think we both agreed on that.
Speaker 1:Actually, I think I had the same ballpark too, I thought we were going to do the same format, but since we're going to do the little April 2nd, yeah, nintendo Switch 2 experience Most likely. I will say, you know, holiday season.
Speaker 2:No, no, geez, you're bugging on that one. I think that's way too far.
Speaker 1:Why.
Speaker 2:Because Nintendo always says it's going to come out way too far. Why? Because the teller always says it's going to come out way before that. They've been pretty steady on that, actually.
Speaker 3:Unless I'm confused, they were talking about revealing it.
Speaker 2:I'm not going on holiday season, I'm going way beyond that. Wait, what do you mean? I'm way before that. I think it gets revealed April 2nd. It's in stores by June. I'm going June. I think it's a storm in June, man, the latest. I wouldn't be surprised if they hit you with one of those in stores May, but I'm going to be. I'm going to give them time to do the production. How is the season? Nah, I don't think so.
Speaker 1:How is the season? Because, let's say, snake Eater comes out in September.
Speaker 2:You don't wait for Snakey. Snakey's not gonna do a dive for you, but you said, you said they wouldn't align it with it with the Switch 2.
Speaker 1:So yeah, I think so, but there's no release date for Snake 2, getting developers time to work the Switch, but they've been having the Switch.
Speaker 2:We don't have it, but they've been having it.
Speaker 1:You know that but you always, they always need time, mr Amazing.
Speaker 2:Yeah, but this is why there's no Plus the Taylor.
Speaker 1:Swift 2 is not going to be powerful as the current Xbox. No, we know that already of course yeah so they're going to need some time? Oh, they don't.
Speaker 2:Preparation the way the Switch is set up right now. They held back on a lot of games you and I both know that because they want to put those new games onto their new system. The Switch is literally on a lifeline right now. There's no way on earth this system is going to wait another what are we? Eight months for the high season to start kicking in. Nintendo's not going to do that much because they're not going to make money. They're not going to make money.
Speaker 1:Are you even correct by they're?
Speaker 2:not going to wait that long. The high season? I just don't see it. Holiday season this is not going to sit there with a system that's been rumored to be coming out since last year, then to this year and then now, nah man, it's definitely coming out in June. I don't see beyond that. Remember you dropped the systems during the holiday season. If you remember, the Switch was dropped in. Dropped in what? March?
Speaker 1:Yeah, they don't usually drop holiday season. If you think about it, didn't the Wii drop holiday season, didn't other, didn't other?
Speaker 2:I don't know if the Wii dropped in the holiday season. We can look at it, but Nintendo of Tennessee not to look at it. Which one you want me to look at?
Speaker 1:Definitely the Switch that came out in March because I got the Switch in.
Speaker 2:March Do the Wii released date. Wii, you're correct, november 19th. We consider that a holiday season. I agree with you on that one. Okay, then, when the next one would be?
Speaker 1:so you're going to do the Wii U. Let's see Wii.
Speaker 2:U. Oh my bad. So Wii U release date that was November 19th, november 18th 2012, those were, but those were two older ones. Then we went to. Okay, let's go to GameCube. That was November 19th.
Speaker 1:November 18th 2012. Mike.
Speaker 2:Sampson's right, but those were two older ones. Then we went to Switch.
Speaker 1:Okay, let's go to GameCube Switch, but we know when to switch to Loin. We're going to GameCube. Go to GameCube.
Speaker 2:That was from March.
Speaker 1:I got that in. March yeah but I was saying GameCube, go to GameCube.
Speaker 2:Let's go somewhere that's a little before the holiday season. Actually September, september, yeah so so that's before the holiday season, like around the holiday season fall it was coming but it was before. We could, we could say the holiday season November.
Speaker 1:Yeah, but like I said, I didn't even give you.
Speaker 2:October, but November technically is the holiday season September, september. October. That was definitely holiday season. November 21st so, mr Mason, I'm going by the last day. That's a switch. It was not holiday, not traditional, but you were all right. I'll give you credit.
Speaker 1:No, mr Mason, yeah, they did that, but now no. No, yeah, they did that, but now no.
Speaker 2:No, they're going back to the same formula that most companies do. They did that not with a system that was on its last legs, like the way the Switch is. The Switch is literally on its last legs, Michael man. There's no way they could wait that for a while, especially when you got two other systems that are you know, running, and halfway. How many years head start are you already? I don't see it, man. I'm going. It's okay to disagree, we disagree, we disagree.
Speaker 1:No, I'm right, so I don't know.
Speaker 2:I'm right, I'm sticking with my June.
Speaker 1:You're sticking with holiday season. I'm sticking with holiday season.
Speaker 2:I'm sticking between June and summer.
Speaker 1:You're going holiday.
Speaker 2:I'm saying May and summer. That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 1:May, summer, with August, I'm going to say May through August.
Speaker 2:That's my timeline You're going obviously.
Speaker 1:I don't see the fall man. No man, we'll see.
Speaker 2:We'll find out. It's set on Game of Traffic. We'll find out who's right.
Speaker 1:Y'all Me alright, mr Amazing. I mean, my thing is are you going to get it? So, mr Amazing, isn't, isn't? Isn't the dilemma whether to get a Steam Deck?
Speaker 2:yeah, which is true. I really want a Steam.
Speaker 1:Deck. I've been selling the show several times. It's part of the process of the movie, so I don't know. So Game of Traps. Y'all need to like and subscribe and get on Game of Traps so Mr could get that damn Switch 2. Come on, people, I had to do a.
Speaker 2:GoFundMe, oh GoFundMe, facilitate your.
Speaker 1:Steam Deck y'all. Oh no man, like and subscribe so we can get this done, but it's going to be very hard to get that system.
Speaker 2:Yeah, no, you're right, am I going to get it?
Speaker 1:Of course, I've got it in every freaking Nintendo there's.
Speaker 2:Of course I got such day one. You forgot I got a day one. I was at the Best Buy 14th Street and got a day one.
Speaker 1:I forgot, you got a day one, yeah man, I got a day one.
Speaker 2:I got almost every Nintendo system day one.
Speaker 1:I got a day one. Did I get the Wii U? No, because the Wii U was so damn hard to get.
Speaker 2:The Wii was hard to get, but I did get that because I had yes, I used to be working at Toys R Us all the time, yeah, so I got that day one.
Speaker 1:Also. I got the Wii U later on, which is now. Wii U is good but we're getting hacked. But that's another story. But, mr Amazing, so also let's talk about the Nintendo Switch over. The Nintendo Switch overall sales okay, jump into it yeah, nintendo Switch has sold over through the lifetime 146 million consoles, mr Mazin gotcha, gotcha, gotcha, and that number is still going to continue to grow but Mr Mazin has calculated that the Nintendo Switch has sold recently.
Speaker 1:We'll say it says over 151 million. The calculations, we'll say it says over $151 million. The calculations for the $146 million is for September 30th of last year. So we'll give and take that this yeah, they did sell in January, first week of January, $360,000.
Speaker 2:I'm waiting for the second part of this question. You already know what it is. I don't know, do?
Speaker 1:you think the Nintendo Switch will beat the PlayStation 2?
Speaker 2:And PS2, for those who don't know, where does that stand at?
Speaker 1:160 million.
Speaker 2:So then, 160 million, that means you're 9 million consoles away.
Speaker 1:No, I told you it's going to come close. It ain't going to happen.
Speaker 2:It's going to come close and crush it, but they're going to surpass that number. Why are they going to surpass that number? New system comes out, old system gets a price drop. New system's not coming out. Let's say we go by Michael's calculation four.
Speaker 1:No price drop.
Speaker 2:You're going to get. Every system gets a price drop when a new one comes out.
Speaker 1:PlayStation 3 did not get a price drop when it came out.
Speaker 2:PlayStation 3? Nintendo's at its lightest leg. Playstation 3 was still making games for the PS3 and the PS4 at the same time. Because Nintendo's not going to be doing the same thing they have.
Speaker 1:No, PS4 and PS3, they was not making that many crossover games, especially after the first two years. After the first two years on, they weren't doing that many crossover.
Speaker 2:They weren't doing it, but I don't think Nintendo needs two years to surpass that. I think Nintendo just needs a whole end of 2020. 2026 around this time, I think Nintendo has the record 2026 around this time, nintendo has the record 2026. This time, exactly right now, a year from now, nintendo Switch has surpassed PS2. A year from now, nintendo Switch has surpassed PS2. I think so Because they're going to be the ones that couldn't find the Wii. Mom and Dad got me the regular Wii. I couldn't get the Switch. 2. Excuse me, I kept saying Wii Got the Switch. 1. Price cuts you couldn't get the Wii now. It was brand new. I'm not talking about for the holiday. When they can't get it, they're going to get those. It's going to surpass it, man. It's going to surpass it.
Speaker 1:Well, you know what I say.
Speaker 2:You know, what I cannot know and I've asked this question several times on the show is does the Nintendo light count towards the Switch cells? I never knew that answer.
Speaker 1:I couldn't find that answer. I think they do count those.
Speaker 2:They should, because the only difference is that one can't go on a TV screen. That's it. Outside of that, it's the same console, same cartridge, goes in both. So like, why would it not?
Speaker 1:I always wondered that, but To me it's like would there be confusion, Confusion with the Nintendo Switch, Because they look basically the same.
Speaker 2:Switch and one. Oh, you're talking about Switch and Switch 2? Yeah, I agree with you. I do agree. I kind of think they should have been a little bit more aesthetically appeasing, unless that trailer was just a little damn when they threw in the.
Speaker 1:No, that's how this looks.
Speaker 2:No, no, I agree with you, it is, but it did look very similar outside the magnetic stuff.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Let's just hope it plays better. I mean, that's just not going to switch one Just like you want. You want to see better.
Speaker 1:All right, mr Amazing, I'm going to go into yo. Mr Amazing, what are the top five selling games of the switch to I mean sorry, switch generation, that's a good question.
Speaker 2:Two of them, I think, I know off the head. What's what you A, mario or Zelda, or do you want to just be specific on?
Speaker 1:it. Which one do you think is number one?
Speaker 2:It's probably going to be Mario.
Speaker 1:Mario what?
Speaker 2:Which one are the Marios?
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 2:That's a very good question. I'm going to say Odyssey.
Speaker 1:No, Mario Kart 8.
Speaker 2:Oh yes, that's an easy one, because they dropped that one so many times.
Speaker 1:I thought you were going to say that that is an easy one.
Speaker 2:I did a Blumper on that one. The Blumper on that one.
Speaker 1:Numbers, that this is Numbers. That's why we call them the Godfather of the Game. Numbers that Sony and Xbox, which they have in their franchises Mario Kart 8, has sold over 60, over 6 point 64 million. Sorry.
Speaker 2:Yeah, no, no, you're right, that one I'm actually. I came a game. I despise you, despise this game.
Speaker 1:Yes, I can't stand this game. Animal.
Speaker 2:Crossing New Horizons. Oh, that's a great game. Can't stand that game. Even though I didn't play this this time around, I didn't really play it.
Speaker 1:I bought it, think I'll be into it, and my sister said I won't be into it, but we all knew you was gonna be into it that's not your kind of game. Nah, I mean, if the landlord pull the gun out, something, do something. It was not my kind of game.
Speaker 2:I just didn't find the interest to play this it's an amazing game, though that's not your kind of game, for sure that's not my kind of game.
Speaker 1:But, mr Mazin, this is another game that you and me debate about. On the greatness of this game as a fighting game, tell me as a as a fighting game. Yes, you're talking about. Super Smash.
Speaker 2:Brothers, super Smash Brothers, yeah.
Speaker 1:Ultimate sold over 35 million copies. Okay, and your favorite character coming up next Legend of Zelda, breath of the Wild, sold over 32 million copies.
Speaker 2:That's four Wow.
Speaker 1:Yes, Mr Amazing.
Speaker 2:Fifth is probably Pikmin or something Splatoon. Who's fifth?
Speaker 1:I'm surprised they didn't put Pokemon up there.
Speaker 2:Probably at the Pikmin or something Splatoon. Who's fifth?
Speaker 1:I'm surprised they didn't put Pokemon up there, Probably the top five oh you don't have the fifth one.
Speaker 2:I just gave you the old five, the top five. I thought that was four. You said Animal Crossing, magikarp 8. You said Zelda, is that five? No, that was a five. I think you missed one. Yo, my sister don't miss anything, unless I misheard you. What was your top? Maybe I got to go do this.
Speaker 1:Oh, sorry, it's four. Sorry, it's four. Sorry. I was about to say I knew he was missing one. Sorry, my bad. So what's his fifth one? I don't have the fifth one in front of me. Sorry people, my bad, okay.
Speaker 2:I'm going to guess the top five. One Is probably going to be Maybe like a Metroid no, maybe.
Speaker 1:Probably a Pokemon game, or Mario Odyssey, probably a Pokemon game. Sorry, my miscalculation. I don't think it is Sorry for my miscalculation. My sense is losing out Wrong, but I was wrong. Thank you for correcting me. But, mr Bazin, let's go to the top rated Switch games. Let's go. What do?
Speaker 2:you think?
Speaker 1:Mr Bazin. Top rated Switch games by Metacritic.
Speaker 2:Based on what though?
Speaker 1:By Metacritic.
Speaker 2:I mean it's definitely going to be freaking Mario Kart obviously.
Speaker 1:Rated, rated. Rated by Metacritic.
Speaker 2:Oh rated, I don't think Mario Kart would be one actually.
Speaker 1:Number one is not Mario Kart, mr Amazing, it's not no.
Speaker 2:Mario Odyssey, maybe no.
Speaker 1:Wow, is it a Mario Yo. Legend of.
Speaker 2:Zelda Breath of the Wild, bro Okay.
Speaker 1:I'm surprised. It surprised not a Mario. That makes sense, though. Surprise, Mr Mage.
Speaker 2:You got that wrong. I mean, that makes sense though.
Speaker 1:What's number two? Hold up, I'll give you number two Super Mario Odyssey, okay, which is rated at 97. Which is a Legend of Zelda, breath of the Wild, was also rated at 97.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 1:Number three. Mr Mage, you want to give a crack at it?
Speaker 2:Number three don't tell me, let me see. It's not the Peach game, is it? No, I was messing with you. I knew it's not. What is it?
Speaker 1:This game, the House of Fatal. Oh, I never got that. Yeah, so that was rated number six on Metacritic. Okay, I mean 96. Sorry. Never played that actually Nope, don't even care to play it.
Speaker 2:I thought it'd probably be a Bayonetta or something.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I thought so too at the time. And number four is the Legend of Zelda. Mr Amazing Rated 96. Tears of the Kingdom.
Speaker 2:I mean it is. It's nothing to be. I'm not, it is.
Speaker 1:So I'll go to number five Portal, the compilation.
Speaker 2:I was never into Portal.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I bought the first one. I didn't buy the second one.
Speaker 2:I was not into it. I was never into it.
Speaker 1:And I'll put in number six Tetris Effect. That's a good game, actually 94,. I I'll put it in number 6 Tetris Effect. That's a good game, actually 94. I would say 94, but I also, since Metroid Prime was also rated, was number 7, 94 but no by another yo anybody. Persona fans Persona fans Persona 5 Royal what about Super Mario Bros Wonders?
Speaker 2:that game got it got nominated for game of the year. That didn't make it not in the top 10. Damn Mario Bros Wonders. It got nominated for Game of the Year.
Speaker 1:That didn't make it Not in the top 10?.
Speaker 2:Damn Nominated. They didn't even make Cracktario Wow.
Speaker 1:Oh, not Metacritic. Super Mario, okay, nope, it's number 14, a Mario game that was rated number Super Mario Bros, super Mario Wonders. Yep Rated number 92 on Metacritic 92? Wow, wow, that's up there. Smash Bros 93, mr Amazing Damn.
Speaker 2:And it's just Nintendo, am I right? Huh, it's just Nintendo, just Nintendo.
Speaker 1:Switch, nintendo Switch. Oh wow, oh, you're on Tele Mario's on. Xbox.
Speaker 2:I thought like just based, you know, based on the medical check.
Speaker 1:Okay, all right, I mean none of us surprised you all solid game, so I'm not surprised by it, okay, fair.
Speaker 2:I mean, at the end of the day, it's it's, it's you to consumer and what you like. So it is what it is. It is what it is. My only regret with the Switch system is I'll be honest with you I didn't take advantage of playing. Enough of it. I think that's one of my defaults with this console is that I didn't play as much as I should have this console generation. This one Nintendo.
Speaker 1:This one.
Speaker 2:I didn't play as many games and I feel like I missed out on a lot. You gotta play your time frame it's amazing you know it is what it is. On this one you won't be able to get.
Speaker 2:Nintendo Switch 2 when it comes out, unless we get out a hookup don't be carry problems out there, mike, don't be carry, I can't remember all this. Yo Can't remember all this. But if any sponsors want to come sponsor us with games, we'll be happy to try them out for you and let you know our opinions on it. On the Gary Traffic.
Speaker 1:Show. Oh yeah, we still try to get a YouTube channel, but, mr Basic, we still get that set up. You know what I'm saying, so hopefully soon, but everybody, absolutely. Yeah. But, mr Basic, anything else you want to say about Nintendo, nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2?
Speaker 2:okay, I'm going to ask you a question. Did you obviously the console? Did you have a favorite hardware for what that Nintendo came out with within the since between the 2017 and now with the Switch lifespan? Is there anything Nintendo related within the since between the 2017 and now with the Switch lifespan? Is there anything Nintendo related between the 2017 and now that you? Hardware wise yeah, just hardware wise, yeah nothing nothing with hardware.
Speaker 1:Wise, you talking about the box, no no, no.
Speaker 2:What I mean is like within the time frame of the Wii Switch I keep saying the time frame of the Switch release. Is there any hardware? It doesn't have to be the Switch, but just anything Nintendo between 2017 and now that you really enjoyed.
Speaker 3:Smash Brothers.
Speaker 1:You're talking about games, games, yeah, for some games. Metroid Prime, yes, metroid Dreads, metroid Dreads sorry, metroid Dreads and Metroid Prime. The remaster yeah but other than I mean I enjoyed the attempts on innovation with the Mario Kart virtual thing and even the box thing, which I laughed. I forgot to call it me too, but you know the Mario Kart one. You said that yes, okay so I think they always try to do something different, which I really appreciate that.
Speaker 1:I might laugh and scoff at some of the things, whether it's Nintendo Switch or Xbox or PlayStation, but I think, with Nintendo Switch 2, what's the biggest competition?
Speaker 2:Handhelds in general. It's handhelds because remember, after the Steam Deck and all those scale, OCG, Ally and all that came out. Handhelds in general because everyone's making one now.
Speaker 1:You turn around, but the only thing is the price points these other hands are upwards of $1000 and do you think, with Microsoft and Sony possibly entering the handheld zone once again, are they going to make a dent in them?
Speaker 2:Not at all. Not at all Not even an inch. They didn't do it before, why would they do it now? The PSP gave it a good run but the PSP was around when the Tenors had other systems around. Yeah, they gave it a good run.
Speaker 1:They sold like over 80 million units.
Speaker 2:That's cute.
Speaker 1:That's cute. That's cute, but people don't know why they sold that much. Because you could you know, because you could do other things.
Speaker 2:Other things with it.
Speaker 1:Even at that they do other things with it and you know get a lot of. You know promote stuff. Yeah, let's get Unlock and get.
Speaker 2:I can get free games. It's so funny because my brother-in-law the other day his sister had a PSP just laying around our house and he got it. He was so hyped she didn't even touch the thing. She's like I think I can brand you yeah.
Speaker 1:Yeah, so people, you know, like I said, unlocking it and playing other games on it Free, so that mainly popular. The Vita was just. I had it, one of the best hand-welded hardware, but unfortunately nothing happened. But if that was the Nintendo Switch, oh my God, we're talking about forever. This is the best hardware ever made. I mean sorry, it was made by Nintendo and plus Nintendo would have supported it more. What is the truth?
Speaker 2:Which is true also. I don't disagree with that, you know so.
Speaker 1:But, like you said, Xbox, Sony have no chance to get the Switch.
Speaker 2:Nah, they don't. It's too big of a head start. Yo, I don't even think Xbox and Switch is going to beat Steam Deck. That deck goes to show you. I don't think they're going to get to their. You, I don't think they're going to get to their numbers, unless they come up with something out of the box. I just don't see it. We can see, I mean, but Sony, even though it's not considered a handheld, but Sony with their Portal, it's making waves.
Speaker 1:It's making waves. It's like I stated in other podcasts it's the top 10 accessory video game accessory yeah it's making waves.
Speaker 2:So I think that inspires Sony to be like hey guys, look what we did with the portal. Now, if we were going to fish your handheld, we might be on to something. But, like I said, on to something doesn't mean you got it. But Sony's my sister. Sony's been my sister of choice for the last few years, probably, like last decade now.
Speaker 1:All right, Mr Amazing, so I'm not mad at that All right, mr Amazing, let's go to our trail of the week. Mr Amazing, all right, sinners, let's check it out. Baby One, two, three, let's go.
Speaker 3:You've been gone a long time. We back now. You twins, nah, we cousins. There are legends of people with the gift of making music. So true, it can conjure spirits from the past and the future. This gift can bring fame and fortune. Will somebody take me in your arms? But it also can pierce the veil between life and death.
Speaker 3:Listen here, this ain't no house party Shit. Y'all ready to drink, y'all ready to sweat till y'all stink? You know, I'm sorry, you keep dancing with the devil. Careful boy, you gonna bite off more than you can chew. One day he's gonna follow you home. You think that's a problem now? What the hell going on? Oh, we heard tale of a party. This world already left you for dead. I can save you from your fate. You don't need no saving. Yes, you do and you are. I am your way out. Don't cry. He's all better now. Yes, I lied to you. I don't believe in magic, ghosts, demons, just power. Somebody please take me who? We gonna kill every last one of you. Hey, I didn't mean to scare you, thought y'all done, forgot about me in here. Come on, open the door, let me on out of here. Steve, it's you, of course it's me. Open the door. Let me on out of here, stave is you? Of course it's me open the door. That ain't your brother lurching. You know what's the only thing I think? I shot myself.
Speaker 1:Mr Amazing, send us to our Michael B Jordan. What do you think of it like a slash forward thriller movie? Send down south back in the days, mr Amazing. When you green light it, y'all light it, or red light this trailer machine.
Speaker 2:I'm green. It reminds me of Get Out. Yeah, I told you while the trailer was playing.
Speaker 3:It reminded me of the one, that HBO one, I can't remember the name of it, but it got cancelled.
Speaker 2:I actually liked that when they cancelled. It reminds me of that also. And then you got some prominent names in the movie. Actually, obviously, we started with Michael B Jordan you got my guy from I always know from the Wire and others, but I always know from the Wire. Sorry, I don't know your name, man, but you're a great actor.
Speaker 1:I know the guy that came up with his name all the time in my head.
Speaker 2:Yeah, me neither, but he's a great actor he has a yeah, yeah, so it's.
Speaker 1:It comes out April 18th of this year. Yeah, I thought it would be Valentine's Day, it looked like a Valentine's Day movie.
Speaker 2:Why is it a Valentine's Day movie, bro Michael? What kind of movies? Always because of Valentine's Day love movie, love story movies, my Valentina remember that came out my.
Speaker 3:Valentina what's it called again the?
Speaker 2:one that you, maybe the one I watch on your 3D TV. Yo, that came out on Valentine's Day. Whatever it was called, yo, it was based on my Valentine's, of course, but it was horror, though it wasn't a love movie. They always drop a horror movie during Valentine's Day. It feels like they do.
Speaker 1:Coast. Yeah, probably you told me.
Speaker 2:I thought that was going to be a Valentine's Day. Release Beyonce with you.
Speaker 1:I thought it could be a hit movie. It looks like it is going to be one. Most horror movies don't cost that much money. If he makes like $150 million, they've made a good profit off of it.
Speaker 2:Of course. What's his first name? Michael B Jordan? No, no, no, the producer Cougar, the Black Panther guy.
Speaker 1:That's the same guy as.
Speaker 2:Black Panther. He's known for this stuff. This is up his alley so should be interesting.
Speaker 1:Alright, mr Amazing, let's go to our should we care? Topic of the week, mr Amazing, already broken already, but we'll go back onto. Microsoft has announced that 4-5 will be coming to PlayStation 5 this spring. Mr Amazing, what do you think about that, mr Amazing? Do you care a lot?
Speaker 2:little, not at all, I think you should care a lot actually, because that's a great game on the Switch. If it's on the Switch 2, you put it on the Switch 2. I care about that actually, and the mechanics of a Switch to play the game and stuff like that. So I think you get a whole different experience A same game but a different experience and stuff like that. So I think you're getting a whole different experience A same game but a different experience. I think it's a game. I actually care actually. I actually care. What about you?
Speaker 1:My thing is like I reached a point that it's normal. Now Microsoft, to me, is nothing but a third party.
Speaker 2:Oh, you called your Sega. He said yo look at Sega.
Speaker 1:You called your Sega for a long time and I recently saw my spot for Microsoft, but I just think that we're not actually surprised that this is happening with Microsoft anymore.
Speaker 2:I'd be surprised if Microsoft says, hey, Gears of War is coming on the system. That's what I'd be surprised.
Speaker 1:Like I said, I'm be surprised. You know, like I said, I'm not surprised Doom was coming on there, because, remember, doom was I mean wait, then I was due for the Switch. No Doom was coming for PS5 oh yeah, that's not surprising. I'm like, yeah, cool, but also, mr Amazing, probably should we, should. We care a lot, literally not all topic um the um, playstation, the creators, developers of MLB, the show 25 would not be on Game Pass wait, wait, say that again the show the show baseball game yes, would not be on Game Pass really
Speaker 2:why, they didn't like the sales.
Speaker 1:I guess Xbox wasn't giving that money up you know, so they'll tell baseball put the show on a Game Pass. Okay, so basically you gotta buy it digitally or physically. You still get an Xbox.
Speaker 2:Oh yeah, you can still get an Xbox. It won't be on a Game Pass. Oh no, that was a PlayStation exclusive man, was it? Yes, it was, yeah, I did a very exclusive man, was it?
Speaker 1:yes, yeah, it was, yeah, the old studios did it for a very long time yeah, I remember they did a very good job with it no, that's a very that's a great baseball game.
Speaker 2:Actually, I don't play baseball games like that anymore, but that was a great one, the only thing if you play the baseball spot.
Speaker 1:You play some, you make it make it more, make it more quicker, you know. So the gameplay, well, not to say the gameplay, but the hours of the game, oh, okay, okay. So, mr Major, anything you want to say before we end the show? I don't have a shout out of the week. Do you have a shout out of the week? Well, hold on. But I forgot to say okay, okay, we both green light the trailer for Sinners, absolutely, and should we care a lot? A little, like I said, I care a little about both topics, whether it's it won't be the show, cause it's like I think you try to. Unfortunately, a lot of consumers at Xbox want the games free. They're losing out buying games. It's like how movie theaters, after 30 days, they won't put their movies on streaming. That's true, and you got people losing out. Why should I watch it now, before it's streaming? So, as far as the MV show, care a little. Was it a big deal? No, so I'm not going to say I care a lot, but go right ahead, mr Nathan.
Speaker 2:I do agree with you on several things. Only thing is, with the Forza I actually care a lot on that one A lot more of me on that one. I think it's a different experience Same game but the different system gives you a different experience. How's the experience? The?
Speaker 1:whole handheld concept the whole joystick thing. I'm talking about placing the flywheel, not on the Nintendo Switch, oh not on the Switch, on the Switch, On the Switch.
Speaker 2:I mean I don't care, but on the Switch I do that, so that's a big difference. And my thing is a Joy-Con. What's the difference between a Joy-Con? What's the difference? Because, remember, you can do more. You can add it to the little wheel thing, you can do a little bunch of stuff.
Speaker 1:You can just buy yourself a wheel thing Xbox 360, Xbox, you do the same thing.
Speaker 3:Which is true. So now it's like ooh.
Speaker 1:The only thing that made me to happen feedback for the PlayStation 5, but the only person who really loses the happy feedback is the people who create Astro Bot. Everybody else is just not really using it. They get advantage of it.
Speaker 2:Astro Bot did a very good job with that. Yeah, I this week, if I want to Nah oof, I got to talk about it when you play. I want to dig into that game more.
Speaker 1:All right, so, miss May, I guess we have no shout-out of the week, no gangster or wankster of the week either. Oh, wankster, I got wankster.
Speaker 2:Netflix, raising my damn price again. That's what I want to say. Where did again man To what? Now I don't know, I almost got that $30. I got the highest one man Me too, yes. Oh, yo yeah they're damn waxes yo For me.
Speaker 1:A lot of people Remember I was predicting Netflix will be 50 bucks 50's a lot, because that's the whole cable service.
Speaker 2:But yo yeah, they're raising the price again. Man, I was like damn man, when Netflix, you get the wax of the week for raising your prices, that's right, they do yo.
Speaker 1:All right, everybody, Everybody like and subscribe to the game.
Speaker 2:I thought you said you had a shout-out.
Speaker 1:No, I had no shout-out.
Speaker 2:I had no shout-out.
Speaker 1:Oh, you didn't have one. You got me a shout-out. No, I didn't have. Mr Amazing Game of Travis show, baby, that's right, baby, catch you guys next Saturday. And next Saturday we'll talk more about the Xbox and the latest, the rack, we will talk about today.
Speaker 2:I did see it actually, yeah.
Speaker 1:I saw it too, but, like you said, all the games on the PlayStation except one except one. Okay, we'll, we'll, we'll double check that. But, mr Amazing yo, peace and love. We out of here people later, peace y'all later. Outro Music.
