Speaker 1:

Let's do this. Welcome everybody to another episode of the Game of Traffic show. I'm your host, mike Sansom. Children of my co-hosts, simply amazing.

Speaker 2:

Feels good to be back, y'all.

Speaker 1:

Feels good to be back. Mr Amazing, apologize to the people for delaying the Game of Traffic show.

Speaker 2:

Talking about yourself? Oh, I don't think so, mr Amazing. Anybody Delayed?

Speaker 1:

of the Game of Traffic show Is. You know what I'm saying With myself? Oh, I don't think so, mr Amazing. Anybody delayed of the Game of Traffic show is due to Mr Amazing. We won't go into details about it, but let's move on forward. On today's Game of Traffic show, we're going to talk about the Xbox. You know what I'm saying. See what's going on with Xbox. We actually saved a man's life, believe it or not, mr Amazing? And let's begin the show and talk about what I said before Xbox. Mr Amazing, it's a surprising report that said Xbox only sold not one, two million consoles, mr Amazing, unbelievable. This comes by way of the latest quarter report earnings from Take-Two that said over 94 million consoles were sold last year, big difference compared to 2023, which is only 77 million. Based on the studies, it showed that Xbox only sold 2 million consoles, mr Amazing.

Speaker 2:

I think it was 2.7,. I think it was 2.7?. 2.7 million, whoopie, damn do.

Speaker 1:

No, you're right, Still not impressive. Not impressive compared to the PlayStation and Nintendo. Mm-hmm, Mr Amazing, do the math. Playstation sold 65 million .5. Mr Amazing wanted to go to the points and you know what I'm saying. Come on, Mr Amazing. What's going on here? How do you feel about this? It's a shame dude.

Speaker 2:

But guess what? Xbox don't give a F, they don't care. They're not about the console system, no more, they gave that up already. They don't care. But before I get into that, because there's a lot to unpack here, so, like you stated, as Mike sold, mike says two, I say 2.7. Whatever you want to pick, say crap, we'll be new.

Speaker 1:

Exactly, I do agree with you on that. It's still embarrassing. Yeah, it's like yo. But do you remember these cells?

Speaker 2:

I no, no, you got 64, you still failed no, no, I agree, but these sales are I think they're strictly to the US sales, so we have to clarify that also yes, we do have to clarify that yeah, so Xbox 20 sold 2 million consoles in 2020 from the US, which is the lowest ever for the company.

Speaker 2:

It's a 42% decline from the prior year. Yeah, so that's a big. That's a big loss, right? So what decline from the prior year? Yeah, so that's a big loss, right? So what contributes to these sales, mike, to these low sales? Is it fewer exclusives? Is it changing consumer preferences? Like, who are we blaming here? I mean me personally. Like I just said not too long ago, xbox don't care. What do they care about, michael? We always talk about it sales Game Pass.

Speaker 2:

Game Pass exactly. So they don't care how you play it, they just want you to play it or get a subscription to Game Pass. That's what they really care about. So I think their console is going to become obsolete eventually, mr.

Speaker 1:

Mason, go ahead. They are saying they are so I think their console is going to become obsolete eventually. Mr Amazing, Go ahead. They are saying they are going to come up with another console. Why I agree. Why I agree with you saying why? But to satisfy the Xbox fan base, so you know, and to show that they're still in the console game and still allegedly trying to get Sony competition. But you're really not.

Speaker 2:

You're not. I mean at this point, just do what Sega did, follow the Sega trend, make games. I mean you'll be better than what Sega did. But because you still have a platform where your game will pass on the devices, I mean this is not normal. The Switch, on it's last leg, sold 5.9 million units last year. On it's last leg it's last leg literally sold more units than you. That's embarrassing. So my thing is, since you guys don't care about the console, do what Michael said. Don't need to drop variations of your system. We don't need a Xbox uh disc, need an Xbox Disless, an Xbox 1080. Make one system, but you have to make it price friendly, because you do not care about hardware. So it has to be a price friendly console. You're going to have to take the loss here. That's how I look at it. You have to take the loss here.

Speaker 1:

I told you this before Xbox and it was said in many podcasts that Xbox one of the big mistakes is making Xbox Series S. I think that's a big mistake. Agree, they could have just came with a digital Xbox Series X Like the PlayStation. Yes, I don't know why. The thing is that Xbox Series S is what Mr Amazing, the Game Pass machine. That's what it was made for the Game Pass machine To get my casual gamers or not really, we'll say, hardcore gamers to actually, oh look, I'll probably spend $400, but I'll get the Series S to satisfy my craving for video gaming, especially on the middle of video gaming. On Microsoft allegedly, now Microsoft, let me say allegedly. They have no excuses, no more, basically, but I digress they're saying that the S was just something, a platform for the Xbox Game Pass. That's the bottom line. I've been told that. I've been told everybody that I thought Xbox should have just came out with Digital X and a Disk X. That's it. No developers complain about. The S is holding us back.

Speaker 2:

You're right to say that actually. Yeah, you know it's ridiculous.

Speaker 1:

I don't know who thought about this. I don't know Phil Spencer. I don't know who thought about this. I don't know Phil Spencer. I don't know Sandra Ball. I don't know who did this. I thought it was an irresponsible and a stupid move by them.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, no, it was actually because it has held them back. Look, how Did they even get Wukong? Yet Black and Wukong, they got it eventually.

Speaker 1:

Right, that ain't happened no, yeah, they, it was no point and according to the developers of Black Whoop, they don't have experience with this. I digress now, excuse me, to lack a better word doing that transfer of the scaling it down. Scaling it down, transferring it down to a lower level scale for that system.

Speaker 2:

So I don't know so just make it for their, make it for their ex, and that's it and too bad for everybody else.

Speaker 1:

What do you mean?

Speaker 2:

everybody else you talking about the video game, just make it for the X, forget the S, but the policy is the game must play on the Series S. Oh, so then you hold your own stuff down Hold your own stuff down. Xbox, don't care y'all.

Speaker 1:

That's almost like Sony saying, yo, the game must play for the PS4 Pro. No, stop it. No, you're right. You know what I'm saying. Stop it with this nonsense. And I think, do we know the total sales of Microsoft Xbox Series X and S consoles put together?

Speaker 2:

That's a good work. We got to get the assistant to get the numbers in for us.

Speaker 1:

I think it's well. According to what I read, I think it's either between 29 million and 35 million.

Speaker 2:

That might be, but have one of the assistants check for us. We got to assist them, michael. We got to check. Michael, what the hell are you talking about? We got to check, check the numbers, check the numbers. Shut the hell up, shut the hell up, yo. We gotta let her know. We gotta let her know Gary Charles gets growing. That was not funny, was that? Was that a joke? That was a joke y'all, it was not a joke.

Speaker 1:

That was a joke, mr Bass. It was not even funny. It was not even funny. Yo Jesus Christ. No, I think it's so. I think what I read between 29 million to 35 million in that, in that range alright, I mean it might be.

Speaker 2:

I'm trying to look it up as the show goes on why are you looking it up?

Speaker 1:

let's go to our next topic, mr Amazing. Alright, let's go to the bottom line. Xbox had a showcase a couple of weeks ago. Majority of those games I think every one of them are going to Mr Amazing, where PS5, ps5, baby. So I mean another reason why the hell should I buy an X or Series S, mr Amazing.

Speaker 2:

I know, but we keep saying it. Microsoft don't care. They say it's a profit for them. So they're like, hey, we're going to drop it on our system first, then we're going to maximize our profit on the PC.

Speaker 1:

That's how they look at it.

Speaker 2:

I'm not mad at that, though, either. I mean it sucks, because if you bought a system for exclusivity, it sucks, because if you bought a system for exclusivity it sucks. But at the end of the day, what's the famous word people always say in every genre of life?

Speaker 1:

It's business, business, mr Amazing. But let's hold on. Let's see what former CIE Worldwide Studios Shuhei says about this. He said in the current podcast, mr Amazing, the kind of funny podcast saying that. I'll paraphrase it it's a blessing for Sony PlayStation 5 owners to get an opportunity to play Microsoft former exclusive games. Mr Amazing. One example of Forza game Forza 5 post-com, I believe, in April.

Speaker 2:

Mr Amazing, yes, it is, sir the upcoming games.

Speaker 1:

That was shown at the Xbox Direct. I think we'll draw them, or all of them are coming to the PlayStation 5, mr Amazing, nothing's being untouched. There's no red line. Xbox are now crossing that red line saying, damn it, everybody gets an Xbox game. We don't care. Like you said before, we don't give up, let it burn, they don't care.

Speaker 2:

Like you said before, we don't give up, let it burn. Yeah, they don't, man, they don't. I mean, as long as you got a gaming pass, that's all they care about Subscriptions, subscriptions, subscriptions. So subscriptions is the new console. That's what I look at it.

Speaker 1:

But the thing is, people should know this Microsoft based on subscription services. Microsoft doesn't want you to buy Word by itself. They want you to buy that monthly subscription for Word. Yeah for PowerPoint.

Speaker 2:

Excel, powerpoint, everything. Yeah, you get an ocean bag. Yeah, it always been about that, though.

Speaker 1:

It always been about that. At first it used to come with your computer, I think Word used to come with your computer. It was free, it was with your computer. Now they said bleep you all this as a service.

Speaker 2:

$150, $200 bucks now Minimum.

Speaker 1:

But you can buy outright as well. Yeah, but I think as consumers we're trained now for monthly, monthly subscription installments. And guess who wins? They did, they're winning. And once you say it's on your credit card, it's on your credit for months. Yeah, you're paying them, keep paying them. Yeah, you're paying them, keep paying them, because it's blind, you're not seeing it. I mean it's made as an argument reference to Microsoft, microsoft, whatever word and I say you might as well buy the whole.

Speaker 2:

Thing you're right, but I remember at one time and I was wrong.

Speaker 1:

Can you still do that can?

Speaker 2:

you still buy it outright.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, okay well, I'm paying you a monthly description for three or four years. Why, why, why, why.

Speaker 2:

Why You're right. It's not a topic, but you're right.

Speaker 1:

You're right. I am right, Mr Mason, I'm always right.

Speaker 2:

Mr Mason, the rare time. He is the rare time.

Speaker 1:

I'm always right, mr Mason. Come on, stop the nonsense, mr Mason. But the funny part discussed this Xbox as a third-party studio for Sony. Basically, they have more exclusive. They have more games coming to them so far coming to PlayStation. Then the PlayStation first-party developers got coming to their systems. The only game we got. What, mr Mason? Death Stranded 2? Yeah, death Stranded 2 is what we know. And what else, mr Mason? You know, I'm talking about the Ghost of. Oh, it's the Shimon.

Speaker 2:

Part 2 one yeah.

Speaker 1:

Part 2. Yotumi, yoti, yeah, yoti, and also allegedly Fair Games, yes yes, yes, that's a big alleged.

Speaker 2:

We don't know that yet.

Speaker 1:

To be honest with you, so you got what Forza 5 coming to PlayStation. We got Outer Worlds 2, the Indiana Jones.

Speaker 2:

Then we got CFDs also. That came right. That already came. That already came already. Yeah.

Speaker 1:

You got Indiana Jones coming this spring. You got Age of Empire 2. Mm-hmm, I mean, it's amazing. That's off the back right there, off the top of my head. That's more games for the Xbox. Quote, quote the third-party developer coming to the PlayStation 5, which is producing less games as a first-party developer to their own system.

Speaker 2:

So there's no exclusive Xbox number? Is that what you're trying to say? What's amazing At the end of the podcast? You're in this podcast. What's amazing? No, but my thing is we still got Halo. We still got God of War those.

Speaker 1:

We still got Halo, we still got God of War.

Speaker 2:

Those have never touched another platform yet why do you keep saying God of War? I mean pretty sure.

Speaker 1:

Mr Mays said, god of War.

Speaker 2:

I mean sorry, when did God, when did Kratos? I was gonna say Gears of War, my bad a legend.

Speaker 1:

Rumor is that if Gears of War has, I would say, a remaster, oh, a remaster will go. Yeah, remaster trilogy, let's say Giz 1, 2, 3. That might come to PlayStation 5. Damn. Or Halo PS5. That would be shot If Halo comes bang. I think that's the bomb. That's the bomb. I think it's over.

Speaker 2:

When I say it's over, it's like Xbox officially became a third-party content maker.

Speaker 1:

That's right, baby. Third-party baby.

Speaker 2:

Ain't nothing wrong with it. You make a lot of money that way.

Speaker 1:

But you got to understand. As you said, it's business. They bought these studios. For how much money, mr Billions?

Speaker 2:

You got to make it up you got to get your money back.

Speaker 1:

They got to make their money. The big heads Phil might not agree with them. Sgt Barr might not agree that I agree with, though but the big people that are paying their salaries are saying yo, we got to make some money. I want to see returns now.

Speaker 2:

No, you're right If not, slashing, slashing, slashing.

Speaker 1:

And that slash could be your neck. Yeah, which sucks. So that's the way I look at it. My thing to you is.

Speaker 2:

We've had this time before, but my thing is it's because, let's say, xbox decides to go that route. Are we going to see new consoles, ps5?

Speaker 1:

what do you mean? They're already in that route, mr Nathan they are, but let's say fully blown, it's like, it's like the it's come on, it's funny talk right now with Xbox no, but my thing is if that happens it's full blown no more consoles. We'll make a subscription recently many interviews I say many, it's more than one interview who say that yo, there's no red line. They're crossing that red line, they're making that over.

Speaker 2:

No, I'm saying, but do you think? In fact they ran over that red line and crossed over no I agree with you, but my thing is would you now see Xbox on a Switch 2? Would you see their subscription as an option to be used on the newer consoles to come out, the PlayStation 6 and the PlayStation 2? Do you see that happening If they decide to go that route Because they're no longer your direct competitor as hard consoles?

Speaker 1:

anymore, Hardware. Mr Mason.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

The default console right now is PlayStation 5. If you see people make jokes, people, the mindset is yo, I'm going to go home and play PlayStation 5. Nobody says go play Xbox Series X. I agree. The mindset of PlayStation 5 is a default console for anybody who plays video games. Nintendo Switch is also another default console. Xbox, who Xbox? What?

Speaker 2:

You're right because if you're talking to people you know, younger generations, I'd be like, hey, you're not going to play that. Nah, we don't play that no more. It's rare you see on Xbox like they used to be, which sucks and Halo Master Chief has lost his sex appeal which is true and as your homeboy what's his name?

Speaker 1:

was saying that he liked that Halo series, what happened to that series? Cancel, bro, cancel, cause you know what it was garbage. And I say it was pure garbage. You did call it out, I did call it out, I was like trying to stay up. It gave us a second season. Of course, your boy, you know, gene, was like oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

Speaker 2:

I didn't watch it, so I can't have an opinion. I watched it, I didn't see it.

Speaker 1:

So I can't have an opinion. I was embarrassed man, I was embarrassed garbage, and that doesn't properly. You could make a series of all moving on, you know, but they fumbled. They fumbled the ball, bro, they fumbled the ball. They fumbled the ball like Patrick and the Chiefs, fumbled the ball in the Super Bowl.

Speaker 2:

The bag was fumbled.

Speaker 1:

Yo, the bag was fumbled but, mr Amazing, as Xbox had to showcase of the games that are coming to every system.

Speaker 2:

You mean the Sony State of Play and the Xbox Direct Connect combined showcase? Yeah, let's talk about it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, Mr Amazing, At that showcase they had the Doom Dark Ages.

Speaker 2:

That was my favorite one there, actually.

Speaker 1:

Which is coming out May 15th and it's a pretty cool. It looks very well. It looks very good. I've been. I played the recent Citizen Rebooted. I played all the Rebooted Dooms. I'm very excited about it. I'm very pumped up for that game. Dark Ages maybe. But Mr Amazing ask me the question which Citizen should I get it on?

Speaker 2:

Well, you should get it for the Xbox, because your PlayStation is going to be full up and all of a sudden, it gives you buy for it. So you should get it for the Xbox. What do you think about it that way? Did you play for the Xbox the last time? No, no, what am I saying? You played it on the last one, on the.

Speaker 1:

Xbox. All the Doom games I had is on the Xbox.

Speaker 2:

Okay, okay, okay.

Speaker 1:

But there's a funny story I wanted to tell everybody. I remember this is what I hate about this digital age and my game's not digital the online age. So I was like I think something happened. I forgot there was a storm, oh and everything was down. I remember that I'm trying to play Doom can't connect. I said, mother, what the what, the what's going on here? Cause you have to connect to the server.

Speaker 2:

To online to access it. I was like this is dumb Because your games are safe to the cloud, so you need to access them. You need some kind of internet. You need internet access.

Speaker 1:

Yo, so somehow Microsoft got to check the license, whatever, and or the game, or you play that game. I find that. That ticked me off. But, mr Amazing, we're not here or there or whatever. You know what I'm saying. But also a game I really like is um Southwood Midnight yeah, maybe I can't say that for a while.

Speaker 2:

The first time I saw it it's coming out.

Speaker 1:

It's coming out, april 8th yeah, it's a more polished.

Speaker 2:

the game that you got a manga game played. It reminds me of that because the woman lead character African American, but this looks more polished to me, though. What was that one called? Again, I apologize, I can't remember the name, the one that you guys didn't like that much, but you played it because you were already invested in it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I forgot the name of that stupid game god, I can't remember it. I'm so ticked off about that. It was just like and the girl's an actor, well, actress yeah, yeah, yeah, that, I know it's ridiculous. I thought the Ryan was poor. Well, she's just doing.

Speaker 2:

She's just reading lines. It's like no, but the Ryan was poor. The Ryan was poor, not true, ryan was poor.

Speaker 1:

It was not a good game. Now I came out of the top of the head what that game is yeah, I know, but to me this game reminds me of it.

Speaker 2:

You know, the young lady she was kind of like, if you saw the trailer, she had like an issue with her mom. Then all of a sudden she's in this whole different world fighting and it just reminded me of that game. But you know not to sit here and compare. The game is intriguing. It looks different. It's more of like a 2D slash, 3d artwork kind of thing going on. You know, my thing is are you going to get this, mike?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'm going to get it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, me too. I think I'm going to jump on this one too. It looks very intriguing. Actually, this is a day one for me, Not a day one, but it's definitely something I'm going to purchase Not a day one.

Speaker 1:

Mr.

Speaker 2:

Mason, not a day one, but I do want to talk about what it is going to be a day one for me that's coming out on the Xbox, if I well, playstation 5 version, because I'm going to get a PlayStation 5 version.

Speaker 1:

Ninja. That's out now. That's digitally. The two right, the one.

Speaker 2:

That's out digitally now they dropped the two that same day. I believe.

Speaker 1:

Are you going to buy that one? Yeah, why not?

Speaker 2:

the J-Game was always a hard game for me. I'm not going to lie to you, that's one.

Speaker 1:

That game is always a hard game between that.

Speaker 2:

Shinobi. Those were hard games for me.

Speaker 1:

I don't know why I beat one of them.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but it looked good, though I'm definitely going to get a Ninja Gaiden 4, but I think I should get 2 as well. It's out right.

Speaker 1:

So why not? So are you going to buy it or are you going to wait? I mean, I'll wait till you get it or the digital one. The digital one You're going to buy, that one?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, I will actually. No, anything to do with ninja samurais. I'm into that world, that whole aspect. That's my world. I love stuff like that. So you know, you think about everything that came out like that. I've mentioned it on the Game of Traffic show. I've always went out and bought those things. So, yeah, it's up my alley, I'll get it but sure yeah yeah, I'll get it.

Speaker 1:

I don't think you're going to get it, Mr Matthew. No.

Speaker 2:

I am. It's up by my alley, you're a liar. But you know, to continue with the Xbox Developed Direct. Oh sure, I think we might have finished, michael, that was the show. Huh, I think we might have covered the whole show. No, I'm just joking. The Direct.

Speaker 1:

What other games did you find interesting on there? 33? Yeah, it's turn-based.

Speaker 2:

Turn-based. Yeah, but that's not my kind of game. That's not how I didn't talk about it.

Speaker 1:

It's an interesting game. It's from a small studio. I will. Would I look into it For a discount. It's not my cup of tea. The game don't look too bad.

Speaker 2:

No, it doesn't. No, it doesn't. Just like I said, like I was trying to face a great game, but I never got to it.

Speaker 1:

I'm not a turn-based person.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, me too. So, like I said, I'm not mad at it at all.

Speaker 1:

You know what I'm saying, so you won't be seeing me. If it's on sale, I might, you know, get the turn-based game. Actually, I accidentally bought a turn-based game. I was like freak it.

Speaker 2:

Oh wait, there's another game on there that I did like I like Evolved. Yeah, me too man you like Evolved, I actually like that one. No, you was into it. No, no, oh really, I thought that was promising. No, no.

Speaker 1:

No.

Speaker 2:

Well it looks.

Speaker 1:

I'm glad you're going to check it out. Mr Macy, let's see. Check it out with your wallet.

Speaker 2:

Oh, we'll see, it ain't happening. It ain't happening it ain't happening.

Speaker 1:

I mean, I mean, Mr Macy, let me ask you a question Are the console wars over? Is the console war?

Speaker 2:

over. Xbox is not part of it, no more. But I don't think it's over because Nintendo has a lot to say. So no, I don't think it's over. It's no longer Sony versus Xbox. Now. It's literally sad to say Sony versus Nintendo, two Japanese world powers going at each other. It might look like Sony's the superior one because the numbers are just crazy from their end. Just a fun fact I'm going to throw out there Nintendo surpassed PlayStation 2 in sales in the United States.

Speaker 1:

Oh.

Speaker 2:

In the United States. So they surpassed that and they're only 15 million away from the worldwide sales of all time. So that goes to show Nintendo's right there. So you know putting that out there. So it's no longer Xbox versus Sony, it's not going to be Nintendo. You know it's no longer Xbox versus Sony, it's not going to be Nintendo. You know Nintendo's always in this Nintendo versus Sega. You know, remember.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but don't you think people just don't look at Nintendo as a Sony competitor as far as a video game genre at this time?

Speaker 2:

And I know why because they don't have the same AAA games as them. They don't make that big AAA games like that also.

Speaker 1:

They make AAA games like that also. They make AAA games, but the audience is different.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, exactly, but let's see. We got a Nintendo Direct coming up. We'll find more out. I can't wait to see that, to see what are they going to find. Listen and go that route, because that's something that me and you talk about and other people on different shows talk about. Okay, let's be straight up honest. At the start of the reveal, were you really pumped up for the Switch 2? Okay, no, not at all, because it looked like a Switch to me. I'll be very honest it did. It looked like a.

Speaker 2:

Switch to me. I'm like okay, I saw it.

Speaker 1:

Let's just keep honest. Let's just keep honest. All the hype has died down. Were you really pumped?

Speaker 2:

up. Okay, yes, no, what you just stated. It looked like a switch to me and all I saw was a magnetic connector from the joysticks to the console, the mouse feature, which could be a very cool tool.

Speaker 1:

I don't know yet a feature nobody's going to use yeah, I don't know yet. So unless it allows you to mirror your, your PC to your switch, mr Maisy, mr Maisy. I don't know yet it's a feature nobody's gonna use. We don't know that yet. It's gonna be used for one or two games and never be used again. Well, that's a possibility I might get out of here. Let's just keep 100 but?

Speaker 2:

but I can also make the argument if it ain't broke, don't fix it. So Nintendo might have been like yo, this is, this is, this is what got us our money. We're just going to tweak it, add little things here and there, make it more, overall experience better, but we're going to keep the same hardware and it's not a bad idea. So I can see that We'll find out. I'm holding judgment until after the Nintendo showcase. About the Sony, about the Sony Ah.

Speaker 1:

Nintendo. Sorry, my thing is like if we ask Mom got a game she bought, she says no, she's not buying it.

Speaker 2:

She did say it. She said that to me yesterday actually.

Speaker 1:

It was all a surprise, yeah, so I'm not too hyped up about it, but you guys haven't seen anything yet you can't say that.

Speaker 2:

yet they might come in and be like guess what, Guess what we got. We got God of War coming to us. I'm just playing.

Speaker 1:

What's your assessment of God of War? Have you mentioned it several times? I don't know actually.

Speaker 2:

What happened? I think I had to go for the DLC that I never played. Maybe that's what it is.

Speaker 1:

I feel guilty about that. I don't understand. It might just be that You're ridiculous man, all right, mr Amazing, I don't know what else to say to you about that. I think you need help. So, mr Amazing, yes, sir, anything else you want to say about the Council? Wars, wars, sorry.

Speaker 2:

Well, between the two councils, the council's nothing really, but I digress and we can continue.

Speaker 1:

All right, Mr Amazing. Let's go to our Trail of the Week, Mr Amazing.

Speaker 2:

Oh, we got one this week.

Speaker 1:

Yes, we always got one. Trail of the Week is accounting two. Mr Amazing, I never saw part one. Yeah, I saw part one starring Ben Affleck and the man who plays the Punisher.

Speaker 2:

Ah, he's a great actor.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, all right, mr Amazing. One, two, three.

Speaker 2:

Let's check it out. Roll the counter, please. We don't own cargo shirts. We don't own flip-flops, anything else. Don't wear your black suit it makes you look like a mortician. I'm just trying to find my way.

Speaker 1:

And now that you've gone away, why'd you ask if he was having money problems? I'm just trying to find my way. Did I make you nervous?

Speaker 2:

You're an escaped convict trained by mob accountants. Your clients are drug cartels, money launderers.

Speaker 1:

Is that a yes?

Speaker 2:

Ray King has been murdered. Do you like puzzles, mr Wolf? I need your help to finish the job you started. What are you doing? Waiting for you to finish so you can Do what I need to do? What do you want? Hello, it's me, your brother. You can't tell from the tone of my voice that I know it's you. Can you be in Los Angeles, california, in 24 hours? Goodbye Baxton, in 24 hours. Goodbye Bergson. Was your brother up to speed on the case? I said, huh, need to know who Ray King was meeting with. Let me do the talking. I said him what I thought. I work for a government agency. I don't torture people. You didn't. I went to Ray and meet with someone who killed all these people. I actually didn't kill all those people. How do you know that? No, do you often confess to capital murder? I actually didn't say anything. This is it, huh. Living on a lunchbox, it's quite comfortable. I spent years looking for you. Do you not miss me because of me? Or is it your condition? I'm just me.

Speaker 1:

You over the plan again Plan.

Speaker 2:

You get these ideas in your head. Good for you. Let's get ourselves killed. I can feel them coming. Are you ready? Yeah, I'm just trying to find my way.

Speaker 1:

Mr Amazing accounting tool man starring Ben Affleck, and what's? The man who plays the Punisher? I keep hearing the man's name.

Speaker 2:

I always know him from Walking Dead Punisher, but I never knew his name in real life man.

Speaker 1:

It's sad, I should know the man's name. I always know him from Walking Dead.

Speaker 2:

Punisher. I never knew his name in real life man. It's sad I should know that man's name.

Speaker 1:

We need to respect that man's name.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, put some respect on that man's name. Google the guy that plays in Punisher. What's his real name? I'll Google it for you. Yeah, google it, google, mr Amazing All right, you keep talking and I'll figure it out.

Speaker 1:

But I mean, do we red light or green light this trailer? Mr Mason, I'm green lighting it. I saw the first one. I thought the first one was good. It took a long time to get a sequel. I forgot the first one came out like 8 years ago, I believe. So so I green light it. It looks very action packed. The female FBI agent is very interested. It does remind me of Jodie Forster's character in Sign of the Lamps.

Speaker 2:

Where she goes, do you like?

Speaker 1:

puzzles. I'm like oh, you just took right out of Jodie Forster's repertoire John Burtow. Okay, John Burtow, we put respect to your name, John.

Speaker 2:

No, he deserves it, man. He's a great actor.

Speaker 1:

You know what I'm saying, so it's amazing. My question to you I greenlighted the trailer. Do you greenlight it yellow light or red light?

Speaker 2:

the trailer. I greenlight it also.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, okay, All right, Coming out April 18th. Mr Amazing Right around the corner, yeah right, baby right Amazing Sam Wilson. Yo, it's in bro, it's in you know what I'm saying Yo, he's there in full effect.

Speaker 2:

I feel like he lost weight too.

Speaker 1:

I don't know if he lost weight.

Speaker 2:

He looks smaller to me.

Speaker 1:

But, Mr Amazing, the movie has made overall. Let me check real quick.

Speaker 2:

Because you mentioned off-camera something to me and then when I saw the numbers, I was like what were you talking about? Because if you're looking at the numbers, it sold pretty well to me, because I mean opening weekend. It grossed $192 million. It's opening weekend $100 million in the US, $92.4 million internationally. It's the biggest opening of 2025 so far.

Speaker 1:

Yes, big old, I was pointing out. I put the question out there to you. What do you think of it?

Speaker 2:

I haven't seen the movie yet, but the sales suggested Well, you can't go by sales. First weekend open weekend Well, the open weekend sales are well. But I did hear a lot of critique about him and then word the fact that tomorrow we're about to come out and say we're not replacing him, he's our guy, we're going to stick with him. So that's usually telling when someone has to come out and then Wait, wait, that place what.

Speaker 1:

I didn't hear, anything.

Speaker 2:

People were upset about it so I haven't seen it, so I can't hold judgment to it. Where His character? Because everybody is so used to Steve Rogers. Yes, miss Mason, go ahead talk to me. You know why, you know why some people are saying I'm trying not to go that route. Yeah, you know why some people are saying that I'm trying not to go that route.

Speaker 1:

There's some people who feel that way. But is that something that's they're going by? What? The comic book? This is what goes on in the comic book.

Speaker 2:

Yes, you keep it true to the story.

Speaker 1:

It keeps true to the story. Stop the BS.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I agree with you on that.

Speaker 1:

Stop the BS.

Speaker 2:

I haven't seen it so I can't say he did a bad job. He did a good job. But the argument, is saying, is that he was more fitted as a side role but not as the main Captain America.

Speaker 1:

So do you want?

Speaker 2:

him replaced. They want him. He can't hold the show, he can't hold the title, like you know. He can't be the man holding a whole movie by himself like his. His persona doesn't fit it. They're saying that's what I like. I said this is all speculations and talks. I haven't seen it. I don't know.

Speaker 1:

I mean, my thing is that he's new to he's new being Captain America, so he's poking. If he came out, he's totally he's like hooking up and he's actually just taking over, just like that. Sometimes that's not realistic in real life. I agree. You know what I'm saying. So somebody, if you take the mantle, how long it took somebody to find a mantle for Michael Jordan? The closest is LeBron, and LeBron we still don't look at him, colby too.

Speaker 1:

You know what I'm saying, but it's not happening, I think. Do I think he's Captain America? No, no, I don't think he's. You know what I'm saying, but let's keep it real. The first adventure movie was not a good movie. It was not a good movie. Let's keep it 100.

Speaker 2:

Did you see Captain America the new one? No, I didn't see it yet.

Speaker 1:

I didn't see it yet. I didn't get to see it yet. I mean the movie Brave New World. What it's on, let's see. According to Screen Rant, that's like a Screen Rant so far. According to their big article, captain America Brave New World box office officially surpassed Marvel's biggest bomb. Is it a bomb? Yes, box office explicitly surpassed Marvel's biggest bomb. It's a bomb, yes, biggest. Yeah, it says well, mcu biggest bomb entry gross in just one week. That didn't sound like a positive spin on it. So I'm looking like damn, not looking good for you, bro, but the gross if you look at the gross. The first week after the release Captain America Brave New World, worldwide earns have reached over 208 million dollars, mr Dimension not bad at all, not shabby surpassing the Marvels, okay, which made 206 million dollars total.

Speaker 1:

What the hell was the Marvels? I forgot. I don't remember. I sit in my head, but million dollars total. What the hell was the Marvel I forgot? I don't remember. I sit in my head, but I just don't remember what was the Marvels.

Speaker 2:

The Marvels, it was the. Oh, what was it?

Speaker 1:

All the three females. Yeah, garbage, straight, garbage Yo. I didn't even want the movie theater to watch it. It came on, I believe it came not Netflix, it came on Disney Listen it got 62% Rotten Tomato.

Speaker 2:

man the marvels.

Speaker 1:

I watched it, I was like I didn't finish it. I didn't finish it, I didn't finish it. Halfway through I said, no, I can't do this. I can't do this to show how bad it was.

Speaker 2:

Budget was $374 million, the final gross was $307, but they made it under the budget, so that goes to show you lost money. You lost a lot of cheddar.

Speaker 1:

And the real problem a lot of people had, that they lose their Captain America Brave New World movie to try to tie up some of the Marvel's loose ends oh, that sucks. That's the problem. I'm not going to go in the loose ends and tie up.

Speaker 2:

Nah, especially if you got a new character in there too, you want to focus on him more.

Speaker 1:

I thought that was not a good idea.

Speaker 2:

I agree with you.

Speaker 1:

That's why all the reshoots happened, Gotcha. So, Mr Amazing. So what do you think the total gross for that movie?

Speaker 2:

I don't think it's going to hit half a billion Billion. Excuse me, I think it's going to fall short under that. I'm going to put it at 400 and change 420 something mil what?

Speaker 1:

you got what you think. Yep, I agree Around there, I agree. I agree Probably four something, four something.

Speaker 2:

I have about 420.

Speaker 1:

400 million? Yeah, I mean watched when it called Disney Plus. I don't know, I'm curious. I might still go by myself just watch it become curious and you know see what happens.

Speaker 2:

But uh, you know, I think it'd be kind of cool if we do an episode where we ask the fans to to poll the community, yeah the, the, the to pull the community. Yeah the for what the gamer traffic community to pull a movie that you and I should go watch and ask for our feedback on it.

Speaker 1:

I would like to do that alright, mr Maison I think that would be a cool idea yeah, okay, I think I'd be interested in that. Mr Maison, who challenged people online to play Street Fighter.

Speaker 2:

Then annoyed their requests hey because he's a punk. I might be doing that with Fatal Fury. We'll see the beta's out, so I'll let you guys know.

Speaker 1:

The beta's out, we can play it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, the beta's out.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I have to double check that, but I'm 90% sure I don't know if the beta's out, but is it out for the whole world or just out for?

Speaker 2:

I don't think it's exclusive numbers, people in the YouTuber I think it's for everyone. Ign that might be wrong, I might be giving you guys wrong facts, but I think it is, though Yo get Game of Thrones. They're freaking beta so we can play it.

Speaker 1:

You know what I'm saying, so come talk with me, mr Amazing Madden, and all these games. Last time I checked, we two or two in the 19 and 13 19.

Speaker 2:

What's the?

Speaker 1:

number 19 and 13. Baby 19 and 13. That's all you gotta say. What's the higher number, 19 or 13? Stop it stop it stop, it stop it plagued yourself.

Speaker 2:

I was dealing with injuries man.

Speaker 1:

Mr Amazing, do you wanna go on a topic? The shout out of the week goes to Mr Amazing oh snap yo not to you, mr Amazing. Oh, snap, not to you, mr Amazing. You will touch on it. Xbox saved my life, mr Amazing. Oh, I thought you were talking about me. Why would you give?

Speaker 2:

me a shout out. What did I do? Why would you give a shout out?

Speaker 1:

I got hyped for nothing, yo I still have my damn wings on my bed. I have my damn wings this week, Mr Amazing.

Speaker 2:

I was hoping the topic would have been about me.

Speaker 1:

Tomorrow can I have my wings tomorrow, Can I?

Speaker 2:

get them.

Speaker 1:

Can I have my wings? We're working on it. We're working for months on it. Go, mr Maze shoot.

Speaker 2:

Okay, so we're going to call this topic Xbox Series S A lot of us, to be honest with you, just call it Xbox Series saved my life. So, to be honest with you, this Xbox series saved my life. So Reddit user Jonesy2282 was this closest story and first of all, I'm happy he's alive. Where he had just bought an Xbox on his way home, he was hit. I think it was a. I'm not sure if it was a truck or what kind of car it was. It was a truck he was. He was hit. I think it was. I'm not sure if it was a truck or what kind of car it was.

Speaker 1:

It was a truck.

Speaker 2:

He was hit by a truck dragged about 12 feet. He suffered a broken bone and a lot of fractures, and he hit himself pretty hard too. Let me make that clear too. And the reason he did not die is because in his backpack he had an Xbox which was kind of a barrier for him while he was being dragged, which prevented him from being more than he's a lot, to tell the story. It prevented him from further injuries.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, from further injuries. But what's more unique about this story is Mr Jones. He went home and guess what? Y'all it still worked the Xbox and the horrible beat up. There's a picture of that. I wish this was YouTube so we could put up the picture for you guys. There's a picture out there. He put it up Xbox scratched up, beat up, but it still worked. That's kind of cool and I actually think that Xbox we should go follow story to see if they reached out to him or anything like that. Microsoft reached out to him Because that might be worth money. Now People are like, oh, that's the Xbox in my life. It might actually be worth something and it still works. So thanks, shout out to Xbox for saving Mr Jonesy 2022's life and he's going strong. Have you ever heard anything similar to that, michael?

Speaker 1:

No. I did, but not really Jesus Christ. Not like that Is it you, not me, though?

Speaker 2:

What Tell me, not us directly, but we spoke about this on. Not me, though what Tell me, not us directly? But we spoke about this on our show. Actually, we heard stories where systems keep kids out of gangs and stuff like that. I mean, in comparison, we've heard stuff like that, nothing to where it physically saved your life. That's about it. Shut the hell up.

Speaker 1:

What the hell are you talking about, hey?

Speaker 2:

Dude, let me ask you a question in regards to this topic.

Speaker 1:

Go ahead.

Speaker 2:

So you have an Xbox that's all scuffed up but works flawlessly. Would you sell it to make a profit Because it's getting notoriety, or would you just keep it because, hey, this means profit, because it's getting notoriety? Or would you just keep it because, hey, this means something, because it literally saved your life? What would you do with the Xbox and someone's offering you a million dollars?

Speaker 1:

I got to see the beat up condition. I forgot the picture of that Xbox we're talking about. I could find it for you.

Speaker 2:

But my thing is, what would you do if it was yours? Sell it, you sell it. Yeah, michael's about the money man, he doesn't care about the thing that saved his life, it's always about the money. Hey, what we just said earlier in the show, it's just business y'all don't take it personal, it's just business, baby it's business. I'm with you.

Speaker 1:

I'm probably still mine too beat up crap, forget the it still works though, buddy man get out of here, get out of here, yo get out of here.

Speaker 2:

All right, man, that's pretty much it for me on my end.

Speaker 1:

We know Mr Mason. We know Mr Mason. But Mr Mason, should we care? Top of the week. Oh nice, what we got. Mr Mason, you go into sports for later and those are gaming show. Well, we do touch on sports. Yes, we do. The New York Yankees have finally dropped their positive facial hair.

Speaker 2:

I saw that that's amazing.

Speaker 1:

Should we care a lot, a little or not at all? And will this affect MLB, the Show 25? Can my character now play the Yankees with a beard? Wait, they couldn't before.

Speaker 2:

I don't know. That's interesting. I don't know the answer to that. I mean no Shave November. They can participate in that now Wait, no, is it no Shave November or no Nut November? There is a no Shave November.

Speaker 1:

I know you're not saying November, we'll skip what you just said earlier, although.

Speaker 2:

I heard that part, but it is a thing, though. Actually it is a thing. I mean I saw that. Do I care? It's intriguing.

Speaker 1:

You care a lot, a little, not at all.

Speaker 2:

I think it's intriguing because it's going to be weird seeing Yankee players with beards. Imagine Derek, jeter, bernie, bernie, I'm going to say Sanders. Bernie Williams, those guys those guys that you know. It's whatever. I think it's cool, I think it's about. I think it was about time. It was about time you let it go. You got rid of the policy. It's a couple of decades old policy. It was outdated. To me, personally, it's whatever.

Speaker 1:

I mean my thing, I'm so used to it. I don't even care, I'm so used to it like, alright, you know what I'm saying. I really don't care. But, mr Amazing, my second do we care topic is the PlayStation themes have been removed. Mr Amazing, do you care a lot, a little or not?

Speaker 2:

at all the PlayStation. What?

Speaker 1:

the themes for PlayStation 1, 2, 3 and 4 have been removed.

Speaker 2:

Are removed yeah oh, I didn't know that.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I was. I had the place To the one theme.

Speaker 2:

Oh, they've been removed From the 30th anniversary.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

Damn. That was quick. Why didn't they let it Run for the whole year?

Speaker 1:

Yes, remember, they said it was only temporary. Mr, amazing, damn.

Speaker 2:

This is not the weekend. This is gonna be donkey For me. This is gonna be Wankster at me. Pardon me, this is W material right now. They should have kept it for the whole year. It's a 30-year anniversary for the whole 2020, what is it? 2025, right? Yes, yeah, Come on man, Got to be out here. Come on man. People are like I'm Chris Carter.

Speaker 1:

Yes, but I mean I care a lot, because I really like it.

Speaker 2:

Me too. I liked it also.

Speaker 1:

I had too. Yeah, oh shoot, I really care a lot. I really wanted to keep it.

Speaker 2:

Can we buy it?

Speaker 1:

No, sucks, yeah. So, mr Mason? No, it's not happening. Mr Mason, that's the end of the show. Mr Mason, that's it. Unless you got a wankster or gangster for the week.

Speaker 2:

Do we have a wankster or gangster for the week?

Speaker 1:

I don't think I do, but Mr Mason, I do what's yours, sony PlayStation.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Get the gangster and the gangster of the week, mr Mason, simultaneously. Mr Mason for the PlayStation Outage, which they didn't apologize for.

Speaker 2:

They never said what it was.

Speaker 1:

It makes me even more pissed off, so that's the gangster move, Knowing that I don't have to tell you because you're still going to play what you're going to play Xbox. Laugh at you, Mr Amazing. And that's the gangster move. That's the gangster move.

Speaker 2:

They're like, we're going to tell you why. Just know, you're just back off. That's what you need to know.

Speaker 1:

Shut your mouth and know your role and play the damn game.

Speaker 2:

That's actually a pretty good one actually, but I did wish they'd tell us why, because I think it might have been something that they want people to panic. That's what I think it was.

Speaker 1:

I think so, and it's the way See credit cards got compromised and that's also getting the way we're doing maintenance.

Speaker 2:

And Silicon Valley after the, after 7 o'clock in the evening Made us for 24 hours what it was a Friday it was a Friday, a Friday when everybody's home playing what the no man?

Speaker 1:

So Sony, you get the Winkster and the Winkster of the week.

Speaker 2:

Not too many times we all say this Do that, Damn it man.

Speaker 1:

Well, mr Mazin, good show today, our next show, hopefully. Good show today, our next show, hopefully we next Saturday. Mr Maisel, bleep it up. Oh, we're gonna, no, we're gonna do earlier now. Come, mr Maisel, we'll have a show In a couple of days.

Speaker 2:

Oh, you put the pressure on me.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I put pressure on you. Alright, everybody, peace and love. Game of Traffic. Still, yo Game of Traffic. Yo y'all need to listen to our show. Listen to the show so we can make it big. Let's do this people Game of Traffic we out Later. Thank you.
