Speaker 1:

Let's do this. Welcome everybody to another episode of the Game of Traffic show. I'm your host, mike Sampson, chilling with my co-host, sip your amazin' by doing today. Everybody give it up for Mr Amazing. On today's Game of Traffic show we're going to talk about Microsoft. Everybody know Microsoft is doing Microsoft stuff. We just closed down what Mr Mazin.

Speaker 2:

Many more studios.

Speaker 1:

Yes, and doing what cuts?

Speaker 2:

Game cuts too, man Yep, and employee cuts, and employee cuts too. Yeah, that's sad about 9,000 people, man.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and that's been going on for a while. We also want to talk about the latest news from Capcom and from Archworks System. Mr Amazing, let's start the show talking about Capcom. Mr Amazing, they had a recent showcase. Mr Amazing, when you think about that, Resident Evil was shown, but not much details was given out on Resident Evil 9, correct?

Speaker 2:

Yes, so we got a new, not franchise, but new.

Speaker 1:

Entry to the. I was going Outbreak State Street Fighter but Resident Evil franchise.

Speaker 2:

We're up to 9. Resident Evil Requiem is supposed to release February 27, 2026. And what I like about it it's 30 years after the explosion, the missiles dropped on Raccoon City and we are introduced to a new character named Grace Ashcroft, who's pretty much an FBI analyst that learns the ways of the Resident Evil saga pretty much on the job, yo. So it's pretty cool. Actually they didn't show a lot, but they showed enough for, you know, for revealing the Resident Evil. I thought it was pretty cool what the guys had to say on the show. So this character, she's new to the game. She doesn't know much about Resident Evil.

Speaker 1:

I thought it was pretty cool what the guys had to say on the show. So this character she's new to the game, she doesn't know much about it Is her mother in the blast I believe so. Mother was in the blast. So how is other characters in Resident Evil having? 30 years ago? Were they teenagers In the police force?

Speaker 2:

Hey, it's a secret. It's part of the.

Speaker 1:

Wait, the coca butter for the facial.

Speaker 2:

It's part of Racco City's mutant thing, I guess it gives you young, exactly, man. So I mean I like it because it backs it. It looks good. Yeah, it does look good. Absolutely. It's a new character because they were actually thinking about going with Leon actually. But the reason they do I don't know if you saw the guy was saying the reason they didn't use Leon is that Leon's a tough guy. Like how's it gonna look when Leon's scared because of Bucket Phil or he shakes because it doesn't it?

Speaker 1:

doesn't that the easy horror trope? You put a woman there and it's easy to get scared.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's what I'm looking for.

Speaker 1:

That's a common horror trope in the movies and video games, In most genres. We'll go to reading books just the same way.

Speaker 2:

No, exactly Reading novels. Exactly, you're 100% correct.

Speaker 1:

You rarely see a male protagonist in a horror movie. The last one you're probably in a horror movie and in a video game. Can you name one? I can name one off the top of my head Evil Within, what else? Silent Hill, Silent Hill Okay, I mean we can't Until Dawn, but there were several characters until Dawn male and female.

Speaker 2:

There were several of them actually.

Speaker 1:

And different nationalities. So yeah, book on Mr Amazing.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, no, no. I agree with what you're saying, though, but we'll see. We'll see more. Obviously, as the day comes, we'll get more feedback, more trailers to go by, but I'm excited by that. We're back to the roots.

Speaker 1:

It's amazing. Can I ask Capcom one question? What's up? What's the character from Resident Evil 5?

Speaker 2:

Oh, the black dude from Africa.

Speaker 1:

The black girl.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, from Africa, whatever happened to her.

Speaker 1:

She's still in Africa, man, Capcom can you tell us what happened to, because you always bring these other characters in for games. They do remakes, blah, blah blah. I know some people are set with.

Speaker 2:

Wasn't that not a fan favorite, though Was Five not a fan favorite?

Speaker 1:

No, it was some racial background People were beefing about that, which I had no problem with. The game, I like it, let me myself. African Americans, black Americans, we had no problem with that. Some people overstepped their boundaries and said some oh, this is great. No, it's not. Stop the nonsense.

Speaker 2:

That's sad. That is the last Resident Evil I beat. I didn't play six or seven, I got eight now.

Speaker 1:

I'll be honest, I've barely beat. I've never beat Resident Evil. I beat two Resident Evil games.

Speaker 2:

Oh, get out of here the first one I beat several Call Veronica.

Speaker 1:

I beat that one too.

Speaker 2:

And.

Speaker 1:

Raccoon City.

Speaker 2:

You didn't beat Nemesis. No, that was interesting too, that big guy running after you, that was fun. I beat one, two, three, I beat four, I beat five. Call Veronica.

Speaker 1:

Str. Strangely, I have all the Resident Evil games, the updated ones, but, mr Amazing, so is this a day one purchase, mr Amazing, oh absolutely Absolutely, and I just got eight for Father's Day, so on the 8th I'll be up to date.

Speaker 2:

Y'all, I'm ready to play it.

Speaker 1:

All right, Mr Amazing, but Mr Amazing before we go on to this. What is the one? You really wanted to come back If you had been hyped about.

Speaker 2:

Character-wise you're talking about.

Speaker 1:

Talking about game-wise Resident Evil. Which Resident Evil would you like to see come back? I know the one you always talk about You're talking about Code Veronica?

Speaker 2:

probably yes, yeah, that would be cool. That would be cool.

Speaker 1:

Yes, but Mr Amazing. That's probably in the works Prank.

Speaker 2:

Prank my head looks really good, actually, I like it. It's Yume, I think his name is Yu, with an android named Diana that aids him on his quest, trying to get back to Earth. It looks cool. I mean, we've seen this concept before, don't get me wrong, but I do like everything about it. It reminds me of one of my favorite games, dead Space. It kind of reminds me of that with the what Dead Space?

Speaker 2:

had a no. No no that means like the way the game moves and flows. That's what I mean by that. That, but obviously with some kind of aid.

Speaker 1:

I'm still skeptical about it. I feel like you, even the combat, even the combat where you have to find certain areas and the girl AI has to, we'll say hack it. Yeah, well, that's certain areas, and the girl AI has to, we'll say hack it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, well, that's why they have frozen action.

Speaker 1:

And I know how slow the enemies are going. Remember what I was saying oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, they go really slow.

Speaker 2:

The reason they go slow is because it's the fighting mechanics, I think, because you have to be able to hit them on their legs, hit them on arm to disable them. So I think, to make the game fair, it's a new fighting mechanic. I think that's why A new fighting mechanic, I think it might be a little too slow.

Speaker 1:

What's the?

Speaker 2:

basis. We'll see, we'll see. Remember, they're slowing it down to show it to the audience. Remember, they're slowing it down to show it to the audience.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but that's the actual gameplay. So basically, no, you're right. So basically, the robots are walking slowly. I know they show some scenes where they have more than one mechanical individuals attacking you, and one of them had a shield.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, I did see that. Actually, I guess that must be a boss fight, probably, I don't know.

Speaker 1:

I'm still skeptical about it. It looks good. Before I saw that, I was wondering what happened to it. It's also on all systems? Yes, if Xbox is still around. But anyway, mr Mason, that's actually a good point. Street Fighter. Mr Mason, yes, my homeboy Sagat is back, son.

Speaker 2:

Yes, so we're getting a Season 3 pass now, and now we're getting a Season 3 pass. We're getting well, yes, we're going to see the 3 plus, but we're getting new characters. Who are they, ladies and gentlemen? Sagat Summer it's coming very soon, actually Very soon.

Speaker 1:

Yes, it's coming in.

Speaker 2:

August, august 6th, viper See Viper for the fall. Alex for early spring of 2026.

Speaker 1:

Who likes Alex, who likes Alex, richard, richard and my brother.

Speaker 2:

My brother liked him too. Yeah, alex, and you're also getting Ingrid late spring of 2026.

Speaker 1:

So pretty much a year I love him with.

Speaker 2:

Ingrid, I think. You know, even I was thinking I think Ingrid's a new character, not a new character. But you know, I don't think I use. Actually I never mess with Ingrid.

Speaker 1:

Ingrid sounds like some old grandmother's name, like your old grandma. Remember Ingrid? What Grandma.

Speaker 2:

Ingrid. I had classmates named Ingrid. I guess that makes me old y'all.

Speaker 1:

But the people don't have those names, no more.

Speaker 2:

Not popular anymore.

Speaker 1:

Like Beverly. Well, that's the first name.

Speaker 2:

Beverly. It's been a while. It's been a while. Man, there's some names that just die, but yeah, so Ingrid. No, she was an alpha. I knew she was. I had to Google it because I didn't use Ingrid, but I know who she is. She was an alpha, so she's making a return y'all, so it should be interesting.

Speaker 1:

What's one of your characters you're pumped up about.

Speaker 2:

I like Saget. Saget is dope See, Viper is also really good too, actually. So we'll see about that. And a lot of people like Alex, because Alex, he's a good grappler for you. Alternative to Zagief. You get Alex for that. He would give me a problem too.

Speaker 1:

so yeah, mr Mage just got a text from the boys telling him to go come play with them. Yeah, yeah, they don't want another mic. But I'll be honest, I'm not. I like Street Fighter. I'm not going to lie. I play the modern level, and you know what? That's really popular in Japan, that level, the moderate, yes, the moderate.

Speaker 2:

Modern is. I think it's the new wave of players that are joining the game, although, like all my friends, we've been playing for years, decades. We stuck with the classic but modern. If you were a Street Fighter and you want to get into it, or you never got into it because you thought it was difficult, then the modern controller, it might be the way for you to go. You know, it depends.

Speaker 1:

I prefer it because, like I said, there's a couple moves I really can never do. It's that Z-Move, I can't, I can't. It's like a Z-Move, I can't do it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, some moves, I just can't do it, I just can't do it.

Speaker 1:

And with the modern controls?

Speaker 2:

oh, I love playing with Kami. Well, she's very popular too. I love playing with Kami, she's just. The only thing with Kami is she'll destroy, but she can't take hits though. Yeah, but they have to balance her somehow, though.

Speaker 1:

Yeah so she does go through fireballs and you can't, if you can, strategize it. What's she supposed to do in fighting games while young Kamsa is going reckless? Oh, okay, okay, it's going all out like Wolverine Berserk all the time. Then you want to do your butt kick. My people are really not playing strategize, so I'm excited about it. I do have all the characters in Street Fighter and I do like the guys. I would love to play them now, Not this week. I'm not ready. I'm not ready. I'm not ready because I fell off.

Speaker 2:

Actually, we're all making comebacks, everyone's trying to get back into it. It's been a while because with the new season coming out. I guess everybody's like yo. Let's get back into this.

Speaker 1:

And Evo's coming up.

Speaker 2:

Well, that too, but also these cats don't know.

Speaker 1:

Long Island Retro Game Fest. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I went on there. So it's not up no more. I guess it's sold out. I guess it's packed. Oh damn, or sold out, packed.

Speaker 2:

I went to go look at it last year. Was it last year? Yeah, last year, but that was on a Sunday.

Speaker 1:

They're having a Saturday oh, that's cool they're having a Saturday, what is? That again, it's August yeah.

Speaker 2:

I remember that.

Speaker 1:

So I'm going to buy my ticket. So I'm going to buy.

Speaker 2:

I've been there the last two years actually.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so I'm going on Saturday. So tell Tyler you want to go. I'm going on Saturday Because my dad is a Super Bowl Tekken. I might play in that tournament. So I'm going to free, I'm going to play on it while it happens and go for it, Because yo my sense is going to show yo I'm the king, son, King of Tekken, son Not Tekken, sorry, Tekkable, it's Tekkable.

Speaker 2:

Sorry, they had the.

Speaker 1:

Tekken tournament. They had the Tekken tournament too, oh they did. I can whip your ass in Tekken, tekken, tekken. You don't want this smoke. Tekken, I'm not that good at it. You don't want the smoke.

Speaker 2:

You might actually have an edge on me in.

Speaker 1:

Tekken, tekken. I can play Tekken. I can roll with your boys in Tekken. They want to rock with me? Come, bring the smoke out. Bring the smoke Come, I'm going to put you out.

Speaker 2:

Well, here you go, you've been called out.

Speaker 1:

Yo, they know, they know. Mike says it's online. You know, I'll put down what is it LV, the Show 25, and I'll come whip some booty. Hey, no, since, whip some ass, whip some ass. That's what I'm talking about. Whip some booty, whip some ass.

Speaker 2:

When Tekken dropped, we were playing football. They were more advanced than me, so I was just like they'll destroy me, so I just gave up, man loser.

Speaker 1:

So I fell off.

Speaker 2:

I went right back to Street Fighter Loser. But it is a good fun game, though I got to say it is fun.

Speaker 1:

Yeah Well, mr Bezos, go on to Oshimi or Onomusha, onomusha, the Wave of Sword.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so Way of the Sword that dropped in 2026, but they also dropped him on.

Speaker 1:

It came out already the La Oimisha 2. Yeah, that came out. It's already digital, it's not physical yet.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's digital. Yeah, and both look amazing. They did a good job remastering that one and the new one when he fights his long-lived nemesis. I guess that looks pretty good. That should be coming out next year, so can't wait to see that.

Speaker 1:

Yo, yo, yo yo, Capcom, don't call the comeback. They've been there for years, son.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, I mean they had a good show. And then the biggest one of all, I guess it's not even Resident Evil actually.

Speaker 1:

Monster Wild.

Speaker 2:

Monster Hunter Wild. Yeah, I'm not a Monster Hunter Wild player to be, but it's a bit. It has a big following. A lot of people love it and the show was really focused on that, to be honest with you.

Speaker 1:

I thought about getting digital so I could share with you your play, because basically, it's more fun if you have other players helping you kill the monsters. Okay, there's like three other monsters they included. No, yeah, two new monsters they included, and some new. You can forge new weapons. So that's it seems very interesting. The two other monsters I don't remember the name off the top of my head. They've been on previous games and they're making a comeback.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so let's see how that goes. One of the monsters, I think it's Lazarus. Yeah, they have been seeing some monsters on the 3.

Speaker 2:

So you've played the series. You're familiar with the series. Yeah, I'm familiar with the series. Oh, okay, I'm familiar with the series.

Speaker 1:

I have it for the Switch, monster Hunter Rise, and I have the other one, the last one on the PlayStation.

Speaker 2:

Oh, okay, okay, okay, oh, so you're better than me then.

Speaker 1:

You know, so I'm not better than you. Thank you for acknowledging that.

Speaker 2:

We're Monster Hunter.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, monster yeah all right, don't forget who's the Madden champ, so Madden champ.

Speaker 2:

I'm like Booker T. It doesn't even matter. We got new Madden coming out in a month.

Speaker 1:

I wish I could say five times, more than five times Decade, decade champ for Madden. If you want something Mike says in Madden, let me know, because I'm to what Mr Macy Whipping behind. Whipping behind, sorry. Whipping ass, sorry.

Speaker 2:

This is new man coming out. We don't talk about 2025 anymore. We're in 2026.

Speaker 1:

now I'm, I'm, y'all, I'm. Well, we'll that um the college, the new college game, look kind of funky, yeah, yeah was not going to get it.

Speaker 2:

I was like you can't crack. You said that to me too.

Speaker 1:

I saw the new features and function. We could talk about it in the next podcast. But I'm really feeling it. I said yo, let me get this, because I thought the game was a deal. Let's get the Madden and the college football just digitally. Just get it and get over with. I mean, oh, that's true. And regret I always had I should have got a two terabyte. I know me too.

Speaker 2:

Because I didn't think I was going to need it, because, like you know me, I play games, but I play limited games. I mean I play, you know, games I really, really want, so I don't buy. But I'm like damn, I should have a lot of games this time around.

Speaker 1:

I MySpace is ran low.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's ran low long time ago, it just sucks, because I'm like damn, do I want to buy another two terabyte? Now it's like, do I really want to spend the money on it? By this point I feel like I might just get the four, so what?

Speaker 1:

are you going to do with the other terabyte?

Speaker 2:

You can always download the games again. I can always transfer it. You can always transfer it, but what?

Speaker 1:

are you going to do with that SD card you?

Speaker 2:

have. Oh, it's just in general, oh no extra terabyte.

Speaker 1:

What are you going to do with that? You can sell it. You can sell it, I guess.

Speaker 2:

Transfer it to your four terabyte and sell it.

Speaker 1:

No when our kids I used to supervise I was a supervisor, I was foster care when the kids he had a full terror. He had mad games on it of course I could imagine he had mad games. You would see all these games on it first I didn't believe him. I saw almost the course.

Speaker 2:

I don't know how, I don't know how we got to wait to pay for it. We don't ask questions, mike. We don't ask questions.

Speaker 1:

I don't ask questions. That time period that's our period. But you know they got their ways. But I have no other common reference to that. I was supervising that at that time. You know what I'm saying. Protect the innocent, mike. Protect the innocent, so we do. But, mr Amazing, anything else you want to say about that? No, that's it, man. All right, mr Amazing, up System Works had a showcase as well. Mr Mazin, what'd you think about that?

Speaker 2:

I mean it was interesting because you know I had to fall back on Arc System. What are they good for?

Speaker 1:

I was like oh, guilty Gear Fighting games.

Speaker 2:

Guilty Gear, blazblue. So I was like, oh that's right, I had to think about it. What do they make? So yes, they had a showcase. I ain't gonna lie, I don't think it was a great showcase. And then they did show one very popular game which I think you and I both agree on. What do you think? It is? Double Dragon, yeah, so Double Dragon Revive. That was probably the best thing that they showed there.

Speaker 1:

What do you think about Double Dragon Revive?

Speaker 2:

I thought it looks outdated. Yo, no, I thought it was outdated. The art looked outdated because I saw what they dot me did with the beatups like that's fireworks outside.

Speaker 1:

Ladies and gentlemen.

Speaker 2:

I saw what they did with that. I saw what they did with one of the beatup games that's come out recently. You know the Karate Kid one. I seen it, but this one, like they, it looked outdated to me. To be honest with you, I thought don't get me wrong, just that thing. The picture is outdated, but the fighting scheme is really good because you're interacting with the background, the terrain.

Speaker 1:

The area.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that was really good. I thought that was, and you get power-ups, you get power-ups, but I do think the picture was a little bit outdated. I do think that. So you're saying Graffiti is outdated.

Speaker 1:

Mr Maze, why are you trying to like jazz? Un-jazz it. No, no, just tell it what it is, Don't un-jazz it up.

Speaker 2:

No, it is. Tell it what it is, what you thought it was.

Speaker 1:

I thought it looked good. It reminded me of Sleeping Dogs, where you interact with the environment, and I think it's a must-have.

Speaker 2:

And it's still in co-op. It's dope yeah, it's online co-op and offline co-op, so I think it's really cool.

Speaker 1:

I know the game you really was interested in. I know you, I know you. Wait when it comes out. It comes out this year actually. Yes, sorry, it comes out this year.

Speaker 2:

October, yeah, october 23rd. October what game were you there on just today?

Speaker 1:

This is not a game one for you. Which one Dragon? I'm getting it. No, no, no. I'm going to get it. No, no, no. Those are Latin people. I'm going to get it. You're going to play with me? Stop the.

Speaker 2:

BS. No, no, no, that usually is the case, yeah it is the case, I am going to buy Double Dragon Dubai actually.

Speaker 1:

Did they buy one for you for your Christmas or birthday or something like that? No, right, no.

Speaker 2:

I don't think so. I usually buy a lot of Beetle Gigs, the Streets of Rage, the Shredders, the Ninja Turtles, I usually buy.

Speaker 1:

Beetle Gigs. I have one of the Shredders. I have Karate Kid. Karate Kid, yeah. Also. I just recently got Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Good idea, how's that? It's pretty good you could play and the kids could play whatever. You know what. I'm saying my kid Adriana, she don't have a Switch, it's on the Switch.

Speaker 2:

So Okay, okay, okay, but the game.

Speaker 1:

I think you dig.

Speaker 2:

Bubble Bob. I know you was pumped up for that.

Speaker 1:

Uh, yeah that was it bubble bob is a dinosaur who does bubbles. You lose strategy.

Speaker 2:

I'm very quiet right now, michael, I think. I think this is when I started falling asleep. This is why I came downstairs for doing a show like this yo, no, it didn't have me, but another one, I thought another one, I thought that was a little bit different. This, yo, no, it didn't have me, but another one I thought that was a little bit different. For me was did you see this one, jeremy Aiway? Something like that. Yeah, look at that. You don't even know what I'm talking about Wait, wait, wait, curse.

Speaker 1:

You're talking about the one with the hand-painted.

Speaker 2:

The Switch.

Speaker 1:

The Switch one. Yeah, the hand-painted drawings and stuff like that.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I tried. I was like let me pay attention to what it is, yo. So it's a textless adventure game, as they called it, and the, the producers of the game, said it's aimed for a woman audience, so it wasn't for me. And you then, and that's why you and I that's what you didn't even know that I was talking about.

Speaker 1:

I knew who you were talking about, but I was like. I was like, maybe there's another game.

Speaker 2:

That's right. I was like, let me get into this. What is this game? But I could not get into it, and it is not made for me, but for me. For me, and I guess you as well, because you both felt the same sentiment when it came to this.

Speaker 1:

I know, but another game that was there, hunter x Hunter. Okay, the new fighting game Hunter x Hunter. Yeah, hunter x Hunter was pretty cool.

Speaker 2:

I thought that was pretty cool actually. And then there was another beat-em up there, absolutism I think, and then that was by the same studio that made the Ninja Turtles Revenge game. It was by the same studio, it was another beat up, so that looked okay. I mean, I'm not running to go get that, to be honest with you, but honestly, the only thing I'll keep it 100, the only thing that impressed me from this showcase it was a very short showcase. On top of it, it was like 27 minutes was pretty much Double Dragon.

Speaker 1:

That's the one I'm really looking forward to. That's the one I was really looking forward to, to be honest.

Speaker 2:

I keep it real. That's really what I'm looking for. We'll see.

Speaker 1:

But I did like Guilty Gear. I'm a big Guilty Gear fan. Oh yeah, guilty Gear has always been dope, so they did have a new character in the deuce and they have a in that.

Speaker 1:

I didn't write that in the new character's name, sorry people, but that's something I'm really interested in we getting into. Okay, we have the game, so I don't know. I think me and you played it. I played it, but I don't think me and you got deep into playing it. I've always been more of a Guilty Gear person than Mr Amazing here. Yeah, I played into playing it. I've always been more of a guilty gear person than Mr Amazing here.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I played it, but, like you said, you were more into it than I was than.

Speaker 1:

I am pardon me. Yes, pardon you, mr Amazing. All right, mr Amazing, let's go on to the next topic, mr Amazing, okay, nintendo Switch 2,. Mr Amazing, it's a runaway hit, mr Amazing. It's a runaway hit, mr Amazing. Also, mr Amazing, best Buy had it a couple of days ago in their stores. You had to get that, you had to pounce on it right away.

Speaker 2:

I'm sure it sold out within minutes. For those of you who track it, I guess.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, who were tracking it. So that's been sold out. But, mr Amazing, one of the bad news Third parties are not getting the sales they thought they would with Nintendo Switch 2. And when you talk about this when the Nintendo Switch 2 came out, I'm thinking like if you're a person who had a PlayStation 5 or Xbox, do we really count Xbox?

Speaker 2:

Let's see what you count. Xbox, that's kind of gaming.

Speaker 1:

Let's say, if you had a PlayStation 5 or.

Speaker 2:

PC, pc, whatever.

Speaker 1:

We're not really counting on Xbox One, I'm sorry, and you have these games already Cyberpunk, these other games. Will you really go out there and buy a Switch and buy those games, or are you going to? You have those games already.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, Okay, so this is a little bit skewed. Actually it's skewed for several reasons. Is skewed. Actually it's skewed for several reasons. A a lot of people don't have the system yet, so the cells are not going to generate yet.

Speaker 1:

No, no, no, Mr Maze. No, but it's true, though, if you have to switch and most of Okay According to, according to Game of Diz, okay, okay, mario Kart was 80%, 80%, 80%. All consoles bought.

Speaker 2:

They bought Mario Kart, well of course that's the number one game people are going to want to play. Of course, I believe that we can say that right now, the number one game that's going to be for Nintendo is going to be Mario Kart, followed by Donkey Kong, and I think Donkey Kong might even outsell Mario Kart. To be honest with you, I wouldn't be surprised. I think Donkey Kong is going to be a big hit.

Speaker 1:

Actually fall back, fall back.

Speaker 2:

I do think Donkey Kong is going to put strong numbers actually.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, Donkey Kong. What else are you going to buy?

Speaker 2:

That's what every system when they first come out, the games are not there.

Speaker 1:

No, that's a weak lineup and I told you that before. I don't think it's a weak lineup. Donkey Kong and Mario are not a weak lineup. Donkey Kong and Mario not a weak lineup.

Speaker 2:

It's a weak lineup. No, I don't think it's a weak lineup. Weak. You're talking about first party games or you're just talking about games in general? Games in general is weak. Well, mario Kart and Donkey Kong are going to be the whole Nintendo down. Let's just say it wasn't a new system. Donkey Kong and Mario Kart will hold you over for your Christmas holiday sales, whatever you want to call it. So I don't think it's a wee-like, because those are going to make money. They'll outsell any other system to top-selling games as well. Those two games. They can't hold their own against any two top-selling. Your Gears of War okay, it'll hold the sales just as strong as them.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

But my point is that you're, I think you're, they have gays but, like you said, there are gays a lot of people already own on other consoles already. So that's, that is like, am I going to go buy it? But remember, I was actually curious to play Street Fighter. I was like I want to see how Street Fighter is on the Switch because, remember, for me when I first you haven't played Street Fighter.

Speaker 1:

you like wasting money?

Speaker 2:

No well, it's not wasting money. I have history 5 on a Nintendo.

Speaker 1:

God, I don't even know it was the last time, I'd be curious, you wouldn't buy it.

Speaker 2:

I would, but there's a lot of other games that I wouldn't mind buying. The third parties. Third party games like. Death Stranding. If you never played it, you get to follow the DLCs. Why not?

Speaker 1:

the only third-party game that has success. Guess one, guess what, which one? Cyberpunk.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, I should have guessed that one. That makes sense.

Speaker 1:

Other ones, the developers, publishers, are saying yo the expectations, give it, time Give it time they're going. Damn, give it time, give it time, they're going damn, we expect they had high expectations.

Speaker 1:

Now they got, they had to dumb it down because it didn't sell that. Well, give it time. I said give it time, even according to Game Biz. Okay, according to Game Biz, it reported 62% of Switch 2 physical game sales in the United States were first party games. In Skooling America. Skooling America bundles 40% in United Kingdom. What is? Oh sorry, pokemon yeah, yeah, it's 40% in United Kingdom were first-party games.

Speaker 2:

Well, that's expected. Most people got it because of the new Mario Kart. That was a seller. But I say, give it to our people. I think people are rushing with these numbers, these charts, graphs. Give it time, let people get the system, let more people get it, then the numbers will go up. It will go up. I don't think people are like yo, we're not going to start making third party. No, give it time, we'll see. We'll see. We'll see, we'll see when the bonds and other gains starts to drop. We'll see how that goes.

Speaker 1:

All right, mr Amazing, let's go with our Trailer of the Week. Mr Amazing, our Trailer of the Week is a classic, but I don't know why they're bringing it back which one? I know what you did last summer.

Speaker 2:

Oh, okay, okay, okay, okay.

Speaker 1:

It looks bad. It looks bad. It's like okay. It's like, yeah, this I mean I'm more a horror fan than Mr Amazing no, but that I've seen, I've seen it. But when I saw the trailer I was like, oh why.

Speaker 2:

I guess you captivate the new audience, new generation.

Speaker 1:

I still say, okay, why? I mean, the first one was a big success. The first one, when they made a comeback was Scream 7. I mean I said Scream yeah, scream 7 or 6. What was that last one that came out? So the last two, sorry, the last two, but all right, mr Mason, let's go to the trailer hi, thanks for coming.

Speaker 2:

Can you believe our best friends are getting married. I'm like, convoluted it, it be cash, a check oh, my god, I'm calling that one.

Speaker 1:

What's that? We don't tell anybody what happened tonight. We should go.

Speaker 2:

What does it say? What if someone saw us Outside of us? No one knows what happened Right, right or less. No one knows what happened right.

Speaker 1:

Hello.

Speaker 2:

No, please, please, stop. Someone is clearly coming after us. I need to start drinking. The cops are not going to help us. Then we'll find someone who will. It isn't something I like talking about. You survived this once. We need your help. You can't run, you can't hide. Get them before they get you you. Whoever's doing this, it's personal to them. One of us is hiding something. We are not going to die today.

Speaker 1:

What are you waiting for, amazing? I know what you did last summer, coming out July 18th. Mr Amazing, what do you think of the trailer? You know what I think, why?

Speaker 2:

I'm not gonna poo-poo on the party like you did. I think it's alright. It's not too bad, it's a new audience, why not? You do have original cast member on there.

Speaker 1:

Mr Amazing. Yeah, why did the guy ran himself off the road? He did. Why you just call the police? Yes, this guy ran himself off the road. It's the same, with they having the same swap.

Speaker 2:

No, no, let them breathe, michael. Maybe there's a twist to it that we don't know. Get the freak out of here.

Speaker 1:

There might be a twist that we don't know, it might be a twist that we don't know. Hollywood need more ideas. We'll see.

Speaker 2:

I'm okay with it. It's a new generation, new people. This movie came out 20, 30 years ago, but they brought it in the same format as Scream did Scream 6.

Speaker 1:

Scream 6, yes, scream 6. Yes, well, yes, we've got two old characters. One of them might die off. True, you know, I don't know. Huey died In 2006.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

So Jennifer.

Speaker 2:

Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze is back.

Speaker 1:

Yes, Sorry, spoiler alert. We'll see what happened to Brandy. Didn't Brandy survive? Did Brandy survive? One of them.

Speaker 2:

I think she did. I think she did yo, I think she did. Well, we'll see. I'll give it a shot.

Speaker 1:

I'm giving it a good light. What did I also complain about? They show too freaking much. I think everybody does that now. Something you just can't do. That, Mr Amazing.

Speaker 2:

I think they do that Too much.

Speaker 1:

Too much, mr Amazing. Too much. Too much, mr man, too much. I give this a yellow light. I'll be different. I'll give it a green. Are you doing it different? That's something you feel in your heart, you want to give it green.

Speaker 2:

I'm going to give it a green. I think I'll give it a shot. I mean, it's a summer movie, teenage. I think it generate some money.

Speaker 1:

I'm hoping Drenman more than Megan.

Speaker 2:

Megan, Megan, Megan.

Speaker 1:

And I saw that coming I don't know, did I yell like that or green light that?

Speaker 2:

I think we yelled, I think we did green light it, I think we did.

Speaker 1:

Because I was very skeptical. I'm like this is a sci-fi comedy thing they're doing and it's something that came from a horror genre. So they came from a horror genre, so why are you just switching over?

Speaker 2:

Exactly.

Speaker 1:

And Bloodhouse. I don't know what's going on, because the last movie Laid in the Yard, yeah, which probably two people bought tickets for that you know what I'm saying? It was stupid. I think two weeks later they'll say I'll be nice. Three weeks later it was on streaming. It felt like the final weekend it was on streaming.

Speaker 2:

Damn. You're giving it that.

Speaker 1:

Gilly love it's garbage Straight, garbage Shoot. If it came on, yo, let me tell you something. That movie came on TNT with commercials. I still wouldn't watch it. Damn, if you held me down, tied me up, I would still close my eyes and not watch it. Is that bad? Yeah, it's bad. You saw it or no? I saw some of it. It was garbage.

Speaker 2:

I didn't want to go see it.

Speaker 1:

We did it's garbage.

Speaker 2:

That sucks. My daughter really liked the first one too so we were excited about this.

Speaker 1:

No, no, not that movie I'm talking about.

Speaker 2:

Megan.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, I saw Megan too, but Megan, I want to see the goddamn Megan.

Speaker 2:

She's excited about that. So I'm like oh man, you can take her to see it, she might enjoy it, we'll wait, we'll wait.

Speaker 1:

She might enjoy it.

Speaker 2:

I'm like, I'm not going to, I'm not going to buy a Blu we'll wait till it hits one of the streamings we're going Netflix.

Speaker 1:

Y'all go look at it Netflix.

Speaker 2:

Amazon Prime. We got those.

Speaker 1:

I'm not gonna. I'm not gonna flex and yo buy a Blu-ray or buy a digital. Nah, son, they put like this they won't be able to steal a bookcase for that game for that movie damn skippy, and I think it's sold under 10 million. Oh wow, under 10 million. Oh wow, that's bad Box over 10 million. So you know, part three will not be happening.

Speaker 2:

Probably not anytime soon.

Speaker 1:

Unless Chucky's involved Probably.

Speaker 2:

Not happening.

Speaker 1:

Not happening, son. So, mr Amazing, he green-slided. I know what he did last summer. Yeah, I'm going to green it, I said. I said y'all like I said y'all are lying. I said hell, no, Give this a red light, don't go see this.

Speaker 2:

Don't go see this. We're going to come back when the numbers are strong. No, not yet.

Speaker 1:

Not creative. Yo, same formula as Scream 6. No, sorry, it's not going to work. We'll see when the hell is Brandy.

Speaker 2:

Maybe she's surprised, we don't know. Like you said, they can't reveal everything in a commercial. Maybe that's what it was, maybe that is one.

Speaker 1:

Oh, they're going to do like the horror trope. She's going to kill the black people first.

Speaker 2:

That's why they can't show her seed that.

Speaker 1:

That's why they can't show a seed. That's why they can't show a seed. That's what happened. Y'all should have knew it. Mr Amazing, damn it All. Right, mr Amazing, let's go to. Should we care to happen, mr Amazing? Yes, sir. Mr. Amazing bad news for Xbox fanboys, xbox supporters, xbox console buyers, microsoft is doing what they always do Make cuts.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's a big cut too, man.

Speaker 1:

Cuts after cuts, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Mr Amazing.

Speaker 1:

I mean, Phil Spencer is a nice dude.

Speaker 2:

He needs to get himself cut.

Speaker 1:

He sent a memo to staff today addressing the cuts, claiming the job losses were necessary to allow for the enduring success of the Xbox.

Speaker 2:

But the Xbox is not going away, though Bullshit.

Speaker 1:

Of course, I didn't even wait. I actually did it, mr Mason. So, mr Mason, part of one of the cancellations is the game you're looking forward to.

Speaker 2:

I know Perfect Dark.

Speaker 1:

Perfect Dark. Yeah, and the studio's closed down initiative, damn.

Speaker 2:

I was really looking for that, Raven okay. Go to Sony y'all.

Speaker 1:

Okay, Rez Everwild announced in 2019. It's was amazing.

Speaker 2:

Canceled.

Speaker 1:

Canceled. Forrester Major cut 70 employees were lost. Wow, wow.

Speaker 2:

And this is not just game studios, this is just Microsoft across the board.

Speaker 1:

Microsoft across the board, man. But they said Xbox was making profits or Microsoft in general was making profits.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I guess not. Not what they're looking for.

Speaker 1:

I mean turn 10 studios. Which was the makers of Forza Sports or developers of Forza Sports? Yeah, I don't know if he said 70 people got laid off, but it's the 50% of four sports. Yeah, 70. I don't know who said 70 people got laid off, but it's the 50% of the staff. Wow, so.

Speaker 2:

I guess the new Xbox handheld team up with Ally is not generating the height they wanted, man, and I guess with the AI stuff you compete with AI also. It just sucks the way the tech world is set up these days, man.

Speaker 1:

ZeniMax their Elder Scrolls Online. The Elder Scrolls Online developer. Yeah, guess what Mr Mason? Axe, not Axe the new MMO. Most likely it's not coming out.

Speaker 2:

Damn, this is not a good look. This is not a good look Because what scares me now is that others you're going to see others follow. You're going to see other big techs follow. Now I wasn't surprised you're hearing this from Apple.

Speaker 1:

I'm sorry, mr Maze. Let's go to GameSpot. They said the new MMO from Elder Scrolls online developer Zinamax online store, reportedly codenamed Blackboard, was said to be cancelled. Reportedly codenamed Blackboard was said to be cancelled.

Speaker 2:

Mr Mason, we spoke about that too, wow.

Speaker 1:

High Moon, the makers of Transformer video games yeah, the good ones before they started sending crappy ones. They also took cuts in the staff, mr Mason, they were the students that helped out make Call of Duty.

Speaker 2:

Yeah this is what happens with Microsoft. For us Buying studios left and right, we knew something was going to happen.

Speaker 1:

But Mr Mason. Then I says, mr Mason, how the hell are you going to manage all those studios?

Speaker 2:

It's impossible. And then, on top of that, you're not selling the way you're supposed to be selling. So it was bound to happen.

Speaker 1:

If Sony had did this, they'd be like it's over. I don't close the door to the Microsoft, it's over. Yeah, you're right, but, like I said after we battled out of the Sony jug, there's too many studios to manage and all the funding puts the profits up.

Speaker 2:

It's just no it is, and being able to release this without interfering with others, it's a lot, it's a lot of business. Business is not as easy as we want to believe it is you're is.

Speaker 1:

You're awesome, Mr Maizen. Sledgehammer Games yeah.

Speaker 2:

Doing the cuts.

Speaker 1:

Well, Xbox gonna give it to you. They're gonna give it to you.

Speaker 2:

They might not be able to. They're giving you cuts.

Speaker 1:

That's all they're doing man, Mr Maizen, Xbox Fame Studio. Guess what, Mr Maizen? What's the most famous game? Don't tell me Halo. Halo's doing cuts. Mr Amazing Famous, what's the Xbox's?

Speaker 2:

most famous game. Don't tell me Halo. Halo's doing cuts, mr Amazing, damn, damn. If. Gears of War, what's it called? Again the remade one? I forgot what it's called. What was it coming out? I thought so I'll be worried too for that.

Speaker 1:

I'm getting it for PS5. Before I wasn't getting it, but I said I was going to get it for PS5. Let's see an Xbox logo on the PS5. We never thought we'd see Gears of War on the PS5. And Sony in general. That is true. But, mr Mason, yes sir, should we care a lot, a little or not at all about this, mr Amazing?

Speaker 2:

I'm not surprised. To be honest with you, I can't care a lot because I'm not surprised and in a way Xbox has been doing just in general. But, like I said, it's not just a Xbox Microsoft thing, xbox thing, it's a Microsoft cut thing.

Speaker 1:

I'm also doing cuts. Yeah, yeah, I understand doing cuts and, like I said I they're doing great profits, but that's the way of the world. That's the way of the world. So unfortunately a lot of people got laid off. I hope they found a new place at Sony.

Speaker 2:

Nintendo. I know Nintendo, whatever it is.

Speaker 1:

Whatever studio they go to and you know, start a new, start their own studio. There you go. You know what I'm saying, because one thing in the video game industry is lacking of creativity. Yeah, that's true too, creativity. So, mr Mazin, I don't care. Oh, I care about the people losing their jobs, but I reached a point and we used to give in. Some of our shows give hope. This is the year Xbox is going to do it.

Speaker 1:

I'm not stopping doing that. You stop. I think I gave a little more. I'm not the Xbox, I'm not the Xbox biggest fan, because I've always been more critical of them than you were. Then. Then you became more critical and I felt back like yo, maybe this year Now, like I don't care.

Speaker 2:

Do you think I care I?

Speaker 1:

just want to go to the third party. Yeah what's that game? Oh shit, that game I can't remember. Yeah, me too. Stay with the K. Stay with the K. Stay with the. K that shit didn't come out. I thought about, oh, that might be a good game. That didn't come out. That game Contribute that came out. That is true too. We were both looking for it, but we don't have to worry about that, no more.

Speaker 2:

I hope another studio picks it up, though, to be honest with you, that game needs to come out, no.

Speaker 1:

No, Microsoft owns it. So no, we're not happy with Mr Amazing.

Speaker 2:

But what kind of Microsoft owns it? They don't care about putting the games we're going to put out on other systems. So I can easily see someone like, yeah, we'll buy this off of you for Perfect Doctor to come out Like we said it's a third party system man.

Speaker 1:

No, it's no chance, mr Mazin, we'll see, like the Vince McMahon no chance. You know what I mean. But the theme song no chance We'll see, mr Mazin. Let's go to the gangsta Wanks, to the weak. Mr Mazin, give it to me. I know you have one, I have one. You go to our greatest president of all time. I'm being sarcastic, mr Donald Trump, go out, say it before he cancels us.

Speaker 2:

So, as we all know, next year, 2026, america will be turning 250 years old and to honor that, Mr Trump is going to hold a UFC fight at the White House lawn. Ladies and gentlemen, this is crazy. I'm keeping real with you. This is crazy Because I can't. It's like telling me yo Biden, obama, bush, whoever you want President Reagan is having the WWE SummerSlam at the White House lawn, or? Boxing man or boxing, yeah, or Joe Frazier, you know the big fight that happened in Africa. It wasn't Philippines.

Speaker 1:

The Tour de Manila. The Tour de Manila, yeah.

Speaker 2:

That was Philippines, africa. Well, anyway, I'm partying from now on. Remember? Right now, tour de Manila on the White House lawn. Yeah, ladies and gentlemen, yo, that is crazy, insane, and I don't know how people would easily support this, but I digress. He's the president dammit, and he has very good connection with the white so it's gonna happen.

Speaker 2:

I just thought of this is that what you would do at the White House though? The law of kids security? I just think it was yeah, but do you want? Is that what you want at the White House, though, on the lawn, on the lawn, kids, you know like. Is it security? Yeah.

Speaker 1:

I just think it's not a good idea. I think it's a lot of money, that's a lot of money involved, but like this is the White House.

Speaker 2:

But Mr Mason, the question is, is he he's? Gangsta. He's gangsta, mr Mason. I'm a gangster man.

Speaker 1:

I'm sorry. He's sorry, but I'm the bleeping president. I can do what the hell I want.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but your audience is not. Remember you're a president of the world and your audience is not all this. To be honest with you.

Speaker 1:

You know what reminds me of this?

Speaker 2:

What's up?

Speaker 1:

Gladiators when Roman Empire has two people. Yes, it's so funny.

Speaker 2:

I just was watching Gladiators with two with Denzel Washington. I just stopped watching. You know my face.

Speaker 1:

You know what I think of that movie. You know my face. That thing was straight up garbage. That was hot garbage.

Speaker 2:

I don't think it was hot garbage.

Speaker 1:

I disagree it was hot garbage. I just watched it's very fresh in my head right now. It's like hot garbage you can smell, I don't think Maximus Sun Hano, whatever his name was. I don't think he had the appeal. Mr Mason, you know his name Because the rock said it doesn't matter, it was garbage.

Speaker 2:

I don't think he had the appeal, like you know. Like you know, like it doesn't matter, mr.

Speaker 1:

Mason, I don't think it was hot garbage, hot garbage.

Speaker 2:

I think Denzel did a pretty good job. It's hot garbage.

Speaker 1:

but Mr Mason president is gangster for you.

Speaker 2:

Yes, I'm going gangster. I don't think it's a great idea.

Speaker 1:

December 250th anniversary I don't think that's the right call yo he's gangster, pull it off, go right ahead, man he's gonna pull it off.

Speaker 2:

Go right ahead, man. He's going to pull it off because he's friends with the USC with the companies.

Speaker 1:

He's friends with Dana White, so they're going to pull it off. Do I think it's something I would do? No, I think it's. You know. Like I said, in my view, the Rome's the gladiator. They have two gladiators. Come on, thumbs up, thumbs down, kill him, yeah. I was like he's going to do that Kill him.

Speaker 2:

You know what's so sad he is going to do that. Remember, it's the point. You said that because I could see it, but not to kill him, obviously. Yeah, but like you know, I could see him doing that. Be honest with you.

Speaker 1:

I so could see him doing that. Mr Amazing John Jones, heavyweight champion, yes has not defended this title for almost a year.

Speaker 2:

Wow, over a year you gotta resent that thing, baby.

Speaker 1:

Mr Amazing Tom Asselwall, who is the intimate heavyweight intern how would you say that Intermediate, intermediate heavyweight champion, john Jones, instead of fighting him, decided to retire, definitely makes the move. They was calling him a duck. People on Intel was calling him a duck for the past couple months.

Speaker 2:

They called him a duck because he was ducking him, and rightfully so. If you knew he was going to retire, you should get that fight a while back.

Speaker 1:

But maybe UFC was trying to hold them back. Try to convince them not to retire.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

So, and John Jones spilled the beans. Wow so, Mr Amazing, it is what it is. I give him the wankster of the week. Oh week, wow. So, mr Amazing, let's go out and shout out the week. Mr Amazing, alright, go out and shout out the week. Mr Amazing, alright, shout out the week. It goes out. A hard star, but he's not, you know, unfortunately, red Panda yeah, you all know her.

Speaker 2:

A lot of people don't know who she is, but she's that person in NBA 2K.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's on the unicycle, she's the person on the unicycle who bounds the distance and stuff like that. She's actually a real person who does participate in the halftime show. Very creative, very talented lady. Unfortunately she hurt herself at the commissioners game, At the WNBA game.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think it was Indiana versus. I can't remember who Indiana was, but yeah, it was at the WNBA game.

Speaker 1:

She fell, you hurt her wrist. So they the was at the NBA game. She fell, she hurt her wrist.

Speaker 2:

So they the Fever I believe it was the Fever.

Speaker 1:

Staff actually went with her, yeah, to the hospital, made sure she was okay. So she's okay. Hopefully she'll be back.

Speaker 2:

She'll be back performing soon. Yeah, she's older now, so you know.

Speaker 1:

She'll be back for the NBA season, probably, so of luck.

Speaker 2:

Absolutely. We need to see you at NBA 2K. I want her to get paid. I'm sure she's getting paid a lot more If you have her likeness in the game you got to get paid, she might get a $20,000 check. I think it's more than that. I think it's more than that.

Speaker 1:

Some plays are going in like $1,000.

Speaker 2:

But she's been at 2K for a while, dude. It's not her first rodeo in it, so who knows? But anyway, shout out to her, man, shout out to her.

Speaker 1:

I hope she feels better.

Speaker 2:

Absolutely.

Speaker 1:

All right, Mr May, anything you want to say before we end the show.

Speaker 2:

Oh man, we're not going to mention something on the show. I was waiting for this topic.

Speaker 1:

What's mentioned, go ahead.

Speaker 2:

Chuck E Cheese man, oh man. So, ladies and gentlemen, for those who have kids, nieces, nephews, I'm sure at one point in your life you went to a Chuck E Cheese party. You let the kids have fun while you sat down and ate that pizza. But guess what, guys? You no longer have to just watch the kids. You'll be able to partake at Chuck's Arcade, because Chuck's Arcade is going. This place is super exciting. Yes, I am, am y'all? Chuck's Arcade is going to be a modern day, pretty much David Buster's for adults yeah so pretty much what it is actually, but around one

Speaker 2:

around one exactly. So you're gonna have adult, adult theme arcades, you're gonna have liquor, beer, wine, all that good stuff, and you're going to be able to enjoy yourself and get prizes while you do that. So it's pretty much a David Buster. And it's funny because David Buster actually, I think, was close to filing bankruptcy, or if it did file bankruptcy. So that's why, yeah, so this is why the sneak up with this coming in is like no-transcript. Oh, that's what you're doing. And Chuck E Cheese followed bankruptcy during COVID, so they remodeled almost all their stores.

Speaker 1:

They must probably have the same problem too.

Speaker 2:

Exactly.

Speaker 1:

Probably the same problem too, but Mr Imagine, you know what Tell you know what I'm going to say? Dead Busters, reach out to us to reach out to us. Game of Traffic. We got an idea for you.

Speaker 2:

We do, we do yeah, we do, I do, we do. I've been telling you for a while that one huh my racing track.

Speaker 1:

No, no, hey, I'm still pushing that idea. We got an idea for them. So give a Game of Traffic, shout out, we can make it happen absolutely man you know what I'm saying? Alright, people, this is the Game of Traffic Show we out.

Speaker 2:

Later.

Speaker 1:

Later Outro Music.
