Speaker 1:

Let's do this. Welcome everybody to another episode of the Game of Traffic show. I'm your host, mike Sampson, telling my co-hosts If you're amazed by what I'm doing today, everybody give it up for Mr Amazing. On today's Game of Traffic show, we're going to talk about Mr Amazing. Allegedly, playstation might have some games coming to Xbox. Ooh, they already started with Helldivers already. But people are going crazy on the internet. But I digress. We're also going to talk about is Game Pass profitable? And we're also going to talk about the Trail of the Weak, mortal Kombat 2, brother. Oh, okay, all right, so we're going to show tomorrow too, brother, oh, okay, alright, so we're gonna show tomorrow. Yo, the hot topic is PlayStation games coming to Xbox and Switch 2. According to sources, mr Amazing, due to a job app, the internet's going crazy thinking that God of War, horizon Zero's done.

Speaker 2:

Spider-Man coming to Xbox.

Speaker 1:

Maybe I think that one might come nah, sony, sony, don't even give Marvel props to get Spider-Man, which is true, but I think I think you'll get Spider-Man.

Speaker 2:

The other two, hell no, but I think Spider-Man, you might get that one not happening?

Speaker 1:

Mr Maison, I'll give it a 1% chance.

Speaker 2:

I'm higher, I think. I think it's actually 40%, I think.

Speaker 1:

What makes you think so, Mr Mazin?

Speaker 2:

It's Marvel. It's Marvel, okay. Is it a Sony exclusive? Yes, but is Marvel, for example, just like a Sony exclusive? No, marvel's been across all you know, all, not genre, but all consoles. You can say so I can see where I can go on Xbox and Sony could profit off of that, and I can see where it can definitely go on Nintendo and it could profit for that. So I can see the Marvel Spider-Man making the transition.

Speaker 1:

Maybe Nintendo. Yes, definitely.

Speaker 2:

I think if it goes to Nintendo, it's going to Xbox too. I think it's going to both. But maybe Nintendo first, though I do agree with.

Speaker 1:

The only how they'll get Marvel's Spider-Man is we get the handheld and through the PC they'll be able to get it. I don't think so.

Speaker 2:

I think it's going to happen. I think that one might happen. I'm at 40% with that one.

Speaker 1:

What caused the ruckus, Mr Mazin? Because a job ad placed by Sony Mr Mazin caused a ruckus. Sony stated they're looking for a senior director of multi-platform and account management. This entails the management platform. Account manager will be in charge, Mr Mazin, of critical leadership role in shaping, executing global commercial strategy for PlayStation Studios software titles across digital platforms beyond PlayStation hardware, which includes Epic, Steam, Game Store, Xbox, Nintendo, mobile, Mr Amazing. So this is causing all all the noise on the internet. People putting a fake Xbox Spider-Man. It's coming. You got Destin talking ish Like oh yeah, it's going to happen, Brother, fall back, Fall back.

Speaker 2:

Well, okay, let's start from what we know. What do we know? What is a fact For a fact? We know August 20th we're getting Black Wukong, which was a PlayStation. It's going up to Xbox.

Speaker 1:

That was not exclusive it.

Speaker 2:

Xbox, that was not exclusive it wasn't exclusive, but originally it was on the Xbox first, I mean on the PlayStation.

Speaker 1:

It was not exclusive. I will strike that down but go right ahead.

Speaker 2:

I don't know. Alright, it didn't come out on the Xbox because of the whole. You know the 1080.

Speaker 1:

I had to optimize for the S.

Speaker 2:

Yes, but some people was calling it a PlayStation exclusive. Those people the disparity, theor people was calling it a PlayStation exclusive.

Speaker 1:

If you look at it that way, you don't have to look at it, those people, those disparity theorists, are calling it an exclusive PlayStation. Okay, it's unfortunate that Xbox put that in place, where you had to ask for this Series S and X to have their games, on which I, everybody, know how I feel about this. This was a stupid one, microsoft move. This came with a discless Xbox Series X instead of with an S by S, but you know what. You know what the S is, mr Amazing the Game Pass machine. That's what it is. Stop the nonsense, microsoft. Go right ahead, mr Amazing.

Speaker 2:

You're not lying, but another fact that we know. We know August 26th Helldivers 2 is going to be released. So we know that. That those are two facts.

Speaker 1:

Basically the trade between Helldivers and Gears of War.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, pretty much, and what we know for a fact. But this was not Xbox exclusive. This came out on the PC. It was last year's game that you played, the PlayStation game Days Gone what's it called again?

Speaker 1:

Which one the.

Speaker 2:

PlayStation game Days Gone. The guy with the motorcycle Days Gone, yeah.

Speaker 1:

But that's on PC. Yeah, that's what I'm saying, but Playstation may have Spider-Man came on PC, but they always it's okay to go on.

Speaker 2:

PC. That's why I think it's gonna go on Xbox no, it released on PC.

Speaker 1:

That's why I think it's gonna go on Xbox and Nintendo.

Speaker 2:

No so those, I guess but you forgot another one. That happens Lego oh, lego, that's right, the Lego Horizon Horizon.

Speaker 1:

Adventure that dropped on Switch last year, yeah, but it was amazing Crickets. We didn't hear anything about the sales, how well it was done. And I think you know once Sony hopped on the Lego bandwagon a little too late. Yeah, remember when Lego was hot, all the Lego movies, lego Batman movies, the Lego movies, yeah, and all the Lego games, yeah, and Sony thought it was a big sale. When you think they would climb to the top of the mountain yelling how many sales they had from the Switch and PlayStation.

Speaker 2:

I agree with that, but I also feel like the timing was just bad.

Speaker 1:

But that's what I mentioned earlier in the conversation.

Speaker 2:

No no, no, but like, not only I agree with what you said, but I also think the timing, the time it was bad with the. With the sales transitioning, Like you know, I feel like they were focusing more on their new console. That was last year. No, but they still focus on the console, like that. No, I don't think, even they market the crap out of that.

Speaker 1:

It's not even more. Playstation has to market. That's their, that's your brand, that's your. No, that's your IP. Sorry, why would Nintendo do advertising for it? No, it's your game.

Speaker 2:

I understand that. I mean, you're not wrong. You're not wrong about that. But maybe they didn't want to go hard for it because it's not their console. I don't know.

Speaker 1:

No, no, no, no, no no.

Speaker 2:

You don't think that might be it?

Speaker 1:

No.

Speaker 2:

But let's see, I'm trying to pick out the sales to see how did it do?

Speaker 1:

Mr Mayor, I told you there's no peep from there.

Speaker 2:

There's no peep, but that's going to be. You don't follow that game, but maybe it sold. What was it called? Again Lego Horizon, right?

Speaker 1:

Lego Horizon Adventures.

Speaker 2:

Lego Horizon Adventures. Let's see how it did. Let's see how it did. Let's see if it met expectation. Let's see League of Horizon Adventure sells. League of Horizon are not looking good.

Speaker 1:

Oh.

Speaker 2:

So the first thing I pulled up said it's not looking good. I'm just trying to see if I can jump into it real quick Well below the typical peak. So from early initiations of looking at this, it doesn't look like the sales were strong.

Speaker 1:

No, no kidding, What'd they say?

Speaker 2:

They sold about 19 million copies if you remove the bundles from the 25 million sales. Yet the game only made 400 million, which works around to 25.

Speaker 1:

Lego Wait. Tuan, are you talking about Lego Horizon? No, lego Lego Wait.

Speaker 2:

Tuan, are you talking about?

Speaker 1:

Lego Horizon no Lego Lego.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, lego Horizon, lego Horizon Adventure, that's what it says, that's not Lego Horizon. It's not coming up, though, for some reason.

Speaker 1:

That's not Lego Horizon, you're right.

Speaker 2:

Maybe I'm pulling it off the wrong.

Speaker 1:

That's more information.

Speaker 2:

Oh, this is Lego Adventures on a PS5.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, Lego Adventures on a PS4.

Speaker 2:

I was looking for a Nintendo Switch. We'll get back to the numbers. I'm going to stall, but I'll come back, Hopefully by the end of the show.

Speaker 1:

I have something for you guys, why are you wasting your time? It didn't sell. Well, you know what I'm saying. Because also, nintendo also had Freedom Wars. Come to the remaster that game that was on the Vita.

Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah, that is true, I forgot about that.

Speaker 1:

And it also went to Steam as well. And also, I think let's look at it I think Hot Shot Golf is also going to Nintendo Switch.

Speaker 2:

Oh.

Speaker 1:

The new one.

Speaker 2:

That might be. I think that'll be cool. I think that'll do well actually.

Speaker 1:

Hot Shot Golf. Let me look that up right now, people.

Speaker 2:

I sure do. That's a very popular game too.

Speaker 1:

I have to, I have to win, you know.

Speaker 2:

But that'll do good though.

Speaker 1:

That might actually do well.

Speaker 2:

No, yeah, I agree, it's a typical Switch feeling kind of, if you think about it.

Speaker 1:

That actually might do. Well, it's coming to. It's coming to Nintendo Switch, Mr Amazing.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

On September 5th.

Speaker 2:

Oh, we're getting it this year?

Speaker 1:

Yeah so it's releasing on PC, playstation 5, and Nintendo Switch on September 5th. Okay, okay. But also I think PlayStation is not produced well, people are developing it. It's not placed in the studio. I believe it was Namco and Bandai. I didn't know that. I believe no-transcript.

Speaker 2:

I didn't know that one.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's true, van Nyt. Namco is doing that. So Sony is giving other companies to develop their IPs and selling other platforms, not bad. Though their old IPs may be some of the most popular, like Freedom Fighters, freedom Wars.

Speaker 2:

Hey, keep that $40, you get yourselves. As long as it's not beyond 40 bucks, I think you're good.

Speaker 1:

That game didn't sell that well, mr Mason, which?

Speaker 2:

one, that game, no, no, I'm saying, like you know, for older games like that, I'm saying keep that $40, the numbers will be decent.

Speaker 1:

But the question is Mr Mason are people over-exaggerating this job posting?

Speaker 2:

Mr Mason, you know people get excited by any little news. They try to commit connections. So are they over-exaggerating? Probably not. I think it's just. The fans are hoping to see you.

Speaker 1:

You know, over-exaggerating means you got people on YouTubers who are going there. Oh my God, it's over.

Speaker 2:

It's over. Oh, you're talking about like console wars and all that Console wars oh yeah, definitely over, is that?

Speaker 1:

Okay, but console wars are over, because Xbox is basically a third party. It's a streaming system. It's a console slash streaming system.

Speaker 2:

It's really Nintendo and Sony and Steam at this point.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so it's just. Xbox is a third party slash streaming device.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's the new generation Sega. Yeah so that's not a bad thing.

Speaker 1:

It's not a bad thing, whatever you say, mr Mason.

Speaker 2:

That's not a bad thing.

Speaker 1:

Sega did well Sega. There was a long slump. Sega was doing crappy.

Speaker 2:

No, of course, but when they figured out their niche, hey, look at them now.

Speaker 1:

All right, mr Mason, this I think. Hell, no, those places exclusive are going the top tier are not going to Xbox.

Speaker 2:

I agree with the ones you say, except the Marvel one. I think the Marvel one you might get. I do think that hell no we'll see. We'll see. Time will tell. I'm thinking, I still think it is.

Speaker 1:

Wolverine's gonna be on there too.

Speaker 2:

I know, but maybe they might do well. Not right now, probably later down the future, but not right now. Hell, we don't know when it's coming out anymore. When's?

Speaker 1:

the last time you heard anything about that, Last time. Most likely it'll be that's the 2026 release, wasn't it?

Speaker 2:

No?

Speaker 1:

2026. It'll be 2036.

Speaker 2:

We haven't really heard anything about that Ever since the leaks. Nothing, All right.

Speaker 1:

Anyway, mr Amazing, you're wrong, I'm right. All right, we'll find out On that, particular with Spider-Man coming to Xbox.

Speaker 2:

I do agree with you You're not going to see God of War. I mean, what else did you say besides that? God of War Horizon, yeah, you're not going to see that.

Speaker 1:

Gran Turismo.

Speaker 2:

Gran Turismo you might. You might because I think Xbox is going to get rid of Forza. I think they're going to phase that out eventually.

Speaker 1:

I think Red Terrors is going to be like the number one game, but we'll see this is a bad take by you.

Speaker 2:

We'll see. I think Red Terrors is going to be the one.

Speaker 1:

That's one of your hot takes, that's one of my hot takes.

Speaker 2:

But, that's not like a today thing, son, I will see.

Speaker 1:

I will see. All right, mr Amazing, let's go more. On the next topic, as we recently talked about, is Game Pass profitable? Mr Amazing, me and you both I think we're both in the same opinion. I don't think Game Pass is very profitable. If it is possible, the margin is very slim and I don't think it's sustainable. I never thought it was sustainable and I don't think it's sustainable. I never thought it was sustainable. It makes no sense. You spend what? $100 million a game, $200 million, and you're getting the game for free.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm not a fan of that as well.

Speaker 1:

For $10, $14, $20 a month for it. Get out of here and how many subscribers Come on.

Speaker 2:

It only works if you have literally with the Xbox subscription, which is their Xbox's goal. But to get that it's hard because, even because your prices keep going up and people are going to what they're going to drop out, and for you to make that money back, you got to raise your prices. I mean, what was the entry levels? Was it like $7.99 to $9.99? When it first came out, that wasn't going to last long, last long. So with the prices going up, people are going to start they're like yo, do I really need an Xbox Game Pass? Am I going to play this game really? And then most people are going to drop down to the lower tiers. So how much money are you really going to be making?

Speaker 1:

I don't know if people are dropping to the lower tiers. I just think people are not going to buy games. But you know Xbox. Why should I buy games that? But you're on Xbox, then why should I buy?

Speaker 2:

games. That's what I'm saying. It's going to come to Game Pass. What about this? To you, though you Would you invest in a new Xbox console?

Speaker 1:

I'll get an Xbox S.

Speaker 2:

No, no, no, no. If Xbox stayed and they're making a new console, would you invest in it?

Speaker 1:

It's a maybe.

Speaker 2:

That's a maybe for you. I think that question I just posed to you would get a 50-50 response, and that's not good. That's not good Because you're losing consumer faith, because everybody's perceiving you, like we always say, as a streaming thing. So maybe that's what they want. Maybe that's how you get the Xbox numbers up, who knows? Think about it. How did the Amazon thing what's it called? Again the streaming game from Amazon? They were doing it. What was it? Oh my God, I can't remember the name of it.

Speaker 1:

I don't know what you're talking about.

Speaker 2:

The streaming system that came out. It was not successful. You're talking about Google. Not the Google one. What's it called? Oh my God, it was red. Oh my God, I can't remember. It didn't do well, it was horrific. We never heard about it again. All right, God, what was the name of it? Yo A lot of people talking about it yo.

Speaker 1:

I have no idea what you're talking about.

Speaker 2:

I'll get it. I'll get it, man.

Speaker 1:

But, Mr Mazin, guess who chimed in on this? Who? Arcane Studios? What did they have to say? Former president, he chimed on it. He said okay, due to the layoffs, you know, Xbox layoffs as well as Microsoft in general. He added to the conversation. I think Game Pass is an understandable model that has been increasingly damaging the industry for a decade. Mr Mays is subsidizing. Why? Microsoft? Infinity money, which is saying Microsoft got mad money. They can pull this off when PlayStation and Nintendo are not going to take that type of risk.

Speaker 1:

You're right, you know what I'm saying, so I mean I agree with him.

Speaker 2:

I agree with him, and I think that's what pissed off a lot of companies. They're like dude. We worked on this project. I agree with him, and I think that's what pissed off a lot of companies. They're like dude. We worked on this project for god knows how many millions of dollars. For someone to get it for $20 on your damn release date. That's like work with us. At least don't put it on open night. At least give us at least a six month window before you do that. So I get why they feel that way oh, I think.

Speaker 1:

Well, as he's the ex-president of Archive Studios, I can't wait. I'm trying to pronounce it right Archive Studios, yes, but, mr Amazing, it's just the way Xbox is going about business with the third part, with their game pass. I just don't think it's sustainable. And when it comes to let pass, I just don't think it's sustainable. And when it comes to, let's say, profitability, I don't know Like. The only person who knows it's profitable is Xbox.

Speaker 2:

And they're not going to Microsoft, they're not going to give you the full story.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I was about to say that, you know what I'm saying Because, according to a thread spotted on Reset Area Reset Era, sorry, reset Area it stated okay, let's see, mr Ring added to the analysis of Xbox Game Pass model and explained that he was told the following this is how it operates. So the cost associated with Game Pass business is fees paid to third-party marketers to service the course and by that measure it's profitable. He writes that what they don't count is a loss relevant to Xbox. First-party studios are not seen as a result of the service. I have to imagine if first-party studios receive similar conversation that profitability might not be correct. That's what it says. So the article further states the statement further, not article. But what do you think about that, mr Mazin?

Speaker 2:

he's not lying, I mean he's right.

Speaker 1:

I mean he's saying Let me go more into it, yeah. So I responded to it Basically. This means Basically, as it goes on. Basically, this means if you only count the cost of getting third-party games on your service as well as marketing, actually keeping Game Pass operation, then it makes money. However, if you factor in how much money Xbox put down to make games like Starfield and Avowed, it's a loss, yeah and how much money it will have to make oh, no, sorry, how much money it may have lost in sales or having it on Game Pass Day 1.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I agree with that. We've been said that. This is not new to me. You and I both said that. Actually, Like we said, you work on a project on Starfield, one of your biggest games. Think about it Gears of War. That's going to be on Day 1 too, the new Gears of War. I mean, like I'd be pissed. Does Epic still make Gears of War still?

Speaker 2:

I don't know, let's see if Epic still makes it All right day one it's on Game Pass. I'd be pissed. I'm like damn man. We've been working 15 years for this latest Gears of War Just to be Game 1 of Game Pass. I'd be pissed.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Come on.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but I mean, look, Do we both agree? You think Game Pass is sustainable? I think we both agree it's not sustainable.

Speaker 2:

I think you're going to have to get rid of the consoles for it to be sustainable. To be honest with you, what?

Speaker 1:

do you mean get rid of the consoles?

Speaker 2:

Like I actually don't need to get rid of the consoles. Actually, I think you got to raise your prices. You got to raise your prices, you gotta raise your, raise your subscriptions and then maybe, but right now, as is no, yeah, as is no alright, mr Amazing, let's go to Sony for the next topic.

Speaker 1:

Sony is suing Tencent. According to the report, sony is suing Tencent for a rising rip rip-off. Mr Amazing, mr Amazing, can you tell people the name of the rip-off? What?

Speaker 2:

was it called again, it was called Motor Ram. Yeah, light of Motor.

Speaker 1:

Ram.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, Motor Ram.

Speaker 1:

Sony also lets Tencent operate in a tent to confuse video game audience, thinking this game is Horizon.

Speaker 2:

I'm not going to lie. The character, the background, yes, the advertisement. You're like. Hold up this shit's through. The crap on it, bro Might. As well, call it Horizon 3. Not as much as they rip them off, it's a big rip off.

Speaker 1:

They have robot dinosaurs. I'm like come on, dude.

Speaker 2:

Why no? Come on, dude. Why no? This is yeah, it's so easy with this one. Yeah, I don't think it is a judge to figure this one out.

Speaker 1:

Sony is convinced that Mankind looks like the Horizon character. It does Right, it does, so it's not looking good for me.

Speaker 2:

If I'm walking into a store and I quickly pass it, I'm like, oh shit, it's a Horizon game. That's how similar they are. Please check out the images on this game, because this is crazy.

Speaker 1:

You would think this is like a mini game for Horizon. Oh, that's why she's a little sister.

Speaker 2:

This should be a gangster topic, to be honest with you, that's so you know what?

Speaker 1:

let's just start right now.

Speaker 2:

Tencent, you're the Wangster of the week you really are to be honest with you, because this was bad. There's too much similarities and because I mean there are some. There's games like you can say, oh, call of Duty, rainbow Six, but they all strike different chords. It's the same. It's the same drama, but this one is god damn identical from the outfits, the scenery. You can't have robot dinosaurs. The character, the main character. I'm like yo.

Speaker 1:

If you see robot dinosaurs, everybody think Horizon. You can't have that man.

Speaker 2:

But let's say you did do a robot dinosaur, make it look way different than the ones that Horizon have, at least.

Speaker 1:

I still think it must be a Horizon minigame.

Speaker 2:

They won't think that. But you differentiate. It looks too similar.

Speaker 1:

You know what I'm saying these guys didn't even try.

Speaker 2:

I'm going to get a quick dollar I got you. These guys didn't even try.

Speaker 1:

It takes the Horizon ripoff takes place in a post-apocalyptic world overwhelmed by giant robot dinosaurs who roam over a large environment with tropical trees, deserts, snow mountains, humans look just Everything in. Horizon. Humans look just like the people in Horizon. Like I said, living in tribal groups Must fight when seeing animals. Oh, okay.

Speaker 2:

This game's not gonna be Cease and desist.

Speaker 1:

Cease and desist, stop it. It's not gonna Stop it people, Stop it, people Stop it. Original originalities.

Speaker 2:

Damn, mr, amazing big time with this one.

Speaker 1:

Sorry Tencent, you guys were doing a rebounding tune and you dropped this crap and the thing is they were trying to collab with Sony, with Horizon participating in creating another Horizon game.

Speaker 2:

Sony said no, and this is what they did.

Speaker 1:

Alright, we got something for you and this is the opposite of what Sony did with Nintendo. We're going to make the system. Sony said we'll make our own system, and the system will not have cartridge, it'll be a disk-based system.

Speaker 2:

Sony went a whole different route, though.

Speaker 1:

This one. They said well, you're going to work with us. Well, you know what? Ringer's going to rip you off Pretty much.

Speaker 2:

Stupid. Sorry, that ain't stupid.

Speaker 1:

You're sorry for that. No, damn, I'll peep you off. Mr Amazing, let's go on. Trail of the Week, mr Amazing. Mortal Kombat 2. Let's check it out Already. Wow, uno Mas, thanks you're Johnny Cage. I love Citizen Cage, I was a kid. Thanks, man, I appreciate it. They should do a reboot. Nobody wants that. Shit went out in the 90s. Who wants that?

Speaker 2:

Shit went out in the 90s. Johnny Cage, you have been chosen to fight.

Speaker 1:

Tell me you're not some crazy fans.

Speaker 2:

How are you doing that? Are you coming, or what? Where the hell am I? It's called.

Speaker 1:

Mortal Kombat. It's a fighting tournament.

Speaker 2:

To the death.

Speaker 1:

Fuck that. This is a war for the fate of your world, you dickheads in or what? I'm not some champion.

Speaker 2:

I don't have transformer arms or two lightning bolts.

Speaker 1:

This shit's got nothing to do with me. I'm an actor. I find you annoying, not the face.

Speaker 2:

It's time to become the hero you were meant to be. All right, you big ugly, fuck, it's showtime.

Speaker 1:

Get over here. Only the strong survive. Maze Head, are you shitting me? You don't have any pals, just incredibly handsome. Mortal Kombat 2, the movie coming out October. Mr Amazing, I saw the trailer before I sold it to you. I'm kind of pumped about it. It's focused more on Johnny Cage than that bland generic character they had in the first one. So, mr Amazing, what do you think about that? I know you didn't see the first one. What did I tell you?

Speaker 2:

I didn't say it because I thought it was a good one, so I didn't say it because obviously it wasn't good, so I didn't bother.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, what did I tell you? What did I tell you? Don't waste your time. Don't waste your time.

Speaker 2:

But from a glimpse from what I saw so far. I like what I saw. Like you said, johnny Cage he appeals to me and the character playing him I call him Butcher, but that's not his real name.

Speaker 1:

He's done several movies, but actually the trailer's got over 11 million views on YouTube.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think this is going to do well, and I didn't realize how soon it's coming out. So it's coming out, perfect for Halloween season. So if you're about to dress up as Mortal Kombat characters, you've got the perfect time to do it now, with this movie around the corner.

Speaker 1:

It looks good. I think this fall has better movies than the summer.

Speaker 2:

This fall? What do you got coming out this fall? We got Mortal Kombat. What else we got going on?

Speaker 1:

I forgot some other movies coming out too.

Speaker 2:

What do we have this summer? That was big Superman. Superman was big Superman. Okay, we got Jurassic Park. I just saw that.

Speaker 1:

Some good reviews. Got good reviews okay. But, Mr Amazing, the thing is, we always come down new. Do we green light this? Y'all like to red light this trailer.

Speaker 2:

I'm going to give it a green. I like everything I saw from this trailer.

Speaker 1:

to be honest with you, I agree, it gets a green for me too. I like everything.

Speaker 2:

I wasn't disappointed. It didn't look boring, it looked interesting, characters look good. Yeah, I agree I thought Johnny Cage should be a little younger, but I'm okay with that?

Speaker 1:

I thought so too, but it works, yeah, but Mr Amazing Megan 2, is already on streaming.

Speaker 2:

We both said it was going to look good. Remember, I said that to you too.

Speaker 1:

You Bumhouse is on a not good roll with the movies yeah. They in the backyard this movie, I mean Mega 2.

Speaker 2:

So yeah, why did they switch? Yeah, like it was fine how you did the first one, it was entertaining. It was funny in a little bit in its ways. I don't know why they did that.

Speaker 1:

I have no idea.

Speaker 2:

Because I was like I don't know. Well, I'm just happy I took my dog because she wanted to see it bad, so we can just watch it on the streaming. Here we go. We have the option now.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, because even Sony's Until Dawn, you can buy it on Blu-ray and stream it too, it's on Netflix. I'm going to watch it on Netflix.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

I think it's called this Week or Next Week, so coming out this week or next week. So anybody that's interested in the new Dawn Until Dawn sorry, Until Dawn movie based on a PlayStation game. It should be on Netflix this week or next week, so check it out. Okay, you didn't waste your $35 ticket to go see it, I know I know.

Speaker 1:

Remember I said when we saw the trailer it'll be out and streaming in two weeks and weeks that movie probably didn't make back its money. Probably not. They had very limited advertising, but still they made back their money. I doubt it, mr Amazing. Yes, sir A, should we care? Topic of this week, mr Amazing.

Speaker 2:

Yes, sir.

Speaker 1:

Since you're missing Nintendo, mr Amazing, I'll tell you what's going on with Nintendo Switch 2,. Mr Amazing, go ahead, damn it it is still hot, mr Mason, go ahead, damn it.

Speaker 2:

It is still hot, hot like fire. I know the sales in Japan are crazy too. Yo Crazy son. I think we're the number one selling system, if I'm not mistaken, actually.

Speaker 1:

Mr Mason, Nintendo Switch 2 has broken the record. How about? What system, Mr Mason?

Speaker 2:

Probably the DS, if it's Japan DS or something.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

Game Boy Advance. One of those handhelds I'm guessing.

Speaker 1:

Okay, let's go. Let's break it down. Nintendo Switch 2 appears to have sold at least 1.5 million unions in Japan in the first month. That's amazing. Famitsu does not track data sold. Units by Nintendo, mr Amazing, so the numbers might be quite higher. Units by Nintendo, mr Amazing, so the numbers might be quite higher. So Famitsu tracks sales for over 3,000 stores. So currently Nintendo Switch stands at 1.5 and chains million units sold.

Speaker 2:

This is Japan we're talking about, though, yes, japan.

Speaker 1:

Compared to a PlayStation 2, which sold 1,134,000 units, and change.

Speaker 2:

Wow, that's a big difference actually.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but within that time frame that's pretty good for both systems.

Speaker 2:

Well, remember, the PlayStation didn't come out during the pandemic, so I can't.

Speaker 1:

No PlayStation 2.

Speaker 2:

Oh, 2, 2.

Speaker 1:

Oh, okay, playstation 2, mr Amazing.

Speaker 2:

That's not bad, though that's not bad. That's impressive actually for the Switch, especially for a system that didn't come out.

Speaker 1:

But, mr Amazing, the previous record holder for the Nintendo Switch is the Game Boy Advance. What?

Speaker 2:

you were saying I figured that, I figured it'd be a handheld. Yeah, I figured that.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so that was over 1,367,000. $100,000, yes, okay.

Speaker 2:

And the beauty about the Switch 2 is that you're starting to see them more and more in stores now, so they're becoming more accessible. Best Buy had them last week, target has them this week, gamestop had them this week too, actually. So you're starting to see them.

Speaker 1:

They're popping up here and there, so if you get lucky and find one, you know it's funny, the original Tender Switch only sold in that time period a little over half a million Wow.

Speaker 2:

So this is.

Speaker 1:

But ended up being the best-selling game platform in Japan. Okay, I guess within the first year. Okay, okay, okay, yeah. No sorry, ever Sorry, ever Damn Sorry, mr Mason.

Speaker 2:

This might be threat. This might be the threat that we're really talking about. It's too soon. It's too soon. I'm not even going to mention it. It's too soon. Well, Mr.

Speaker 1:

Mason. Overall, nintendo Switch has sold over 3.5 million consoles worldwide.

Speaker 2:

Not bad, not shabby at all For sisters that have only been out for a month.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, over a month now.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it came out June 20-something, July 20-something. Yeah, like a month and change.

Speaker 1:

So, mr Mason, should we care about this? Is that a topic? So we care a lot little, not at all.

Speaker 2:

I expected it. So I'm going to say I care I'm not going to say a lot, but I care because I kind of expected this.

Speaker 1:

We both expected it, I so I care a lot about this.

Speaker 2:

I don't like Xbox is lying to you guys.

Speaker 1:

Only thing I don't like is the game key cards, but that's a topic we'll discuss on another day.

Speaker 2:

But Mr Amazing, Just wanted to tell you know just a quick little thing. Donkey Kong, have you seen more inside, more gameplay of it, like the different stuff he does?

Speaker 1:

I've seen Gameplay. I wasn't going to pick it up. I didn't get a chance to pick it up.

Speaker 2:

It's really growing on me, man, like I didn't realize he changes to different animals. Yeah, yeah, but anyway, I was on that time. I figured I mentioned that to you.

Speaker 1:

Trying to get Michael to buy so I could play it y'all. I know I wasn't about it this week, but I didn't okay, okay okay, so, and they'll give the full games on the cartridge. So but, mr. Mason yes, sir, let's go to the shout out of the week. Unfortunately, a couple people passed yeah, man very unfortunate. Malcolm Jamal Warner passed yep known for the. Cosby show.

Speaker 2:

Dio, he had a lot of shows actually, he's won everything. Hip hop videos back in the days.

Speaker 1:

He's written for shows. He's written for a lot of shows I think he wrote for the spinoff, the college show, right, he wrote for that.

Speaker 2:

I don't know if he did that oh my gosh, you don't talk about Whitney.

Speaker 1:

Different World. Yes, I don't know about that. I know he's written for other shows. He was doing poetry as well.

Speaker 2:

Oh, he did a lot of music. He dropped a jazz album not that long ago. Very versatile man, unfortunately he passed away in a drowning accident. Yeah, it's very tragic. Man Respect his family. Man.

Speaker 1:

Ozzy, Ozzy, Ozzy.

Speaker 2:

Ozzy Osbourne another one, and you know I'm not a big Ozzy Osbourne fan, but you know what I'm gonna give him credit for. He knew he was singing. He died a week after his last performance, so when he said this is my final tour, he wasn't lying. So even though I'm not a fan of his, I respect that.

Speaker 1:

So shout out to Ozzy Osbourne for that.

Speaker 2:

I give him his respect for that.

Speaker 1:

And he's made success, for his daughter was on TV shows.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, his daughter, his wife, his son. They all blew up after that.

Speaker 1:

They all blew up after that, and that's supposed to be his son.

Speaker 2:

That's supposed to be his son.

Speaker 1:

but yeah, you're right, More the daughter than the wife, more the daughter than the wife. So everybody got to eat. Yeah, you're right, everybody did get to eat Because of the reality show they had. So now with families and such and such, but also the big one, we both disappointed in, mr Mazin, what you gonna do, brother, the Hulkster's here, oh Hulkster fans.

Speaker 2:

So this was controversial but I want to recognize it for what he did for wrestling. For wrestling, Hulk Hogan was stardom. Controversy how he got to there, but I'm not to talk about that, but there's controversy how he got there.

Speaker 1:

Well, he stole Billy Graham's act.

Speaker 2:

That, and not only that. Remember, he snitched on the.

Speaker 1:

Oh, you're talking about making a union.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and then all of a sudden he started blowing up. After that, yeah. I'm not going to talk about that. I took it to where he made it worldwide. He made it popular, he was the face of it. He had commercials, movies, movies, movies weren't all that good and he had a famous iconic move, the leg drop. So the stiffest thing in the world. But it was the leg drop man. So I give, I give him that.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but you know, I, but you know, I give Hulk Hogan that, but I don't know what I give Terry Bowler. Terry Bowler, that's not a topic.

Speaker 1:

I mean I won't go into him, mr Mason. I won't respect him like that Terry Bowler, terry, what's his name? What's the Hulk?

Speaker 2:

go to.

Speaker 1:

What's his name? Terry Bowler. Terry Bowler was a piece of crap. Yeah, I'm just saying I'm. I don't expect what he did on the field. Same thing, ty Cobb. He was an amazing baseball player, but he was a straight up racist. And what Hulk Hogan said regarding African-Americans? Regarding no, no and no. And his daughter and stuff like that and also break up the union. No, Hulk Hogan's a fraud. Terry Bowler Terry Bowler's a fraud. We're going to separate the two. Terry Bowler's a fraud.

Speaker 2:

Terry Bowler. Terry Bowler's a fraud we're going to separate the two.

Speaker 1:

Terry Bowler's a fraud. If you can do this when Mark Henry asked yo do you want to go to a black house and tour wrestling? No, he asked him, Benjamin Sheldon. Benjamin asked him on certain things. He didn't want to do it. Hokey, Terry Bogart is a fraud, he's a thorn. Yeah, I mean, I know there's some black people who will, like you know, say he wasn't that way. Yes, I know people like that. They're cool with you right now, but let you date their daughter.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 1:

Let the infranger, let's get real.

Speaker 2:

One of my favorite and it sucks to say one of my favorite artists, r Kelly. I love his music, but what he did, you know, just to say it. You know it's not a white thing or a black thing, it's an individual person thing. And what R Kelly did also was disgusting. And then it's my thing can you separate the two? Can you separate R Kelly from Robert? No, can you separate Hulk Hogan from Terry Bola? I don't know if you can do. Can you do that?

Speaker 1:

The thing with Terry. Like I said, it hits on a different level for us. We're both black. They were iconic to us? No, we were just because when Hulk Hogan did, it was disgusting.

Speaker 2:

Hulk Hogan thing. What do you mean, hulk Hogan? What?

Speaker 1:

do you mean? It was disgusting. You saw the tape with my daughter married. Oh, I saw Terry Brown.

Speaker 2:

You said Hulk Hogan, so I'm thinking you're dressing up as him.

Speaker 1:

No, no, no you, I don't care, I'm going on. That was disgusting.

Speaker 2:

It was a slap in the face. Just think about it Me. I'm sure, michael, you walk inside your morning, you remove your shirt. You know what you're going to do.

Speaker 1:

I'm sure you're going to be worried. I was never a Hulk Hogan fan. Get out of here who the Macho man? I like Macho man.

Speaker 2:

I like Macho man was very stiff.

Speaker 1:

He was even big pie thighs. I like his promo cuts were interesting, but I never really liked his wrestling, so you didn't have a pair of yellow unders and yellow shirt walking around the house. I didn't have the stretch. Nothing like that, nothing like that.

Speaker 2:

I'm not bad at that.

Speaker 1:

I was a big fan of his.

Speaker 2:

I wasn't I wasn't a big fan.

Speaker 1:

We depressed in vitamins. Cause, when he passed away I was like oh yeah, I respect for his family. I'm not gonna say he's a piece of, but anyway. I did already so yeah, so yeah, rest in peace.

Speaker 2:

I got a question for you, cause you know when someone passes we seen it with Colby yeah we seen it with other legends. The gaming industry will make them the cover of something. Do you think WWE will make a special edition for him? No, what do you think?

Speaker 1:

no, 2K not doing that no, 2k's gonna do it. You're gonna freak out 2K's too soon, mr Mays.

Speaker 2:

we ended this show right now. It's just stupid nonsense like that.

Speaker 1:

This is the Game of Traffic show. We out. Mr Mays told a nonsense. Hey, have a good day. This is the Game of Traffic show. Like and subscribe, and don't forget Evo's coming up. Mr Amazing, everybody, we're going to look at it. We're going to check it out. Our favorite Friday games my favorite Friday game is Tekken. Mr Amazing, street Fighter2. You know what I'm saying, so we're going to check it out. I also like Mortal Kombat, though people don't like the last one. I ain't going week and this um, um, the sequel not the sequel, but the continuation of the mortal kombat franchise. I'm not gonna lie. The last one, no combat one was not.

Speaker 2:

Storyline was not a good okay, and that's about the movie right now no, no talking about the game the game all right so people uh like and subscribe to the game of traffic show.

Speaker 1:

Leave a comment. Yo, we love you guys that's right you don't love hulk hogan anyway, we out.

Speaker 2:

oh God, let the guy rest in peace my guy.

Speaker 1:

We out Later, later, thank you.
