Speaker 1:

Let's do this. Welcome everybody to another episode of the Game of Traffic show. I'm your host, mike Sampson, chilling with my co-hosts Simply amazing. Feels good to be back. Y'all, you never gonna be back. The summer's not over, but Game of Traffic you never over, took a break. You know what we ain't broken, mr Amazing. That's what we do, yo, the first topic we're going to talk about. Well, we'll break down the topic we're going to talk about on this episode, mr Amazing. On this episode, we're going to talk about PlayStation price hike, which nobody's been strangers to throughout the global market, maybe to the US. We're strangers to it, woo-wee.

Speaker 2:

People are not taking it very lightly, Mr.

Speaker 1:

Amazing, especially on the internet. Well, we didn't sue when they was going to come, mr Amazing, our president, mr Trump, with the tariffs, you know we're supposed to save America, whatever, but we also want to talk about the Xbox new handheld whizzles, now still wearing games, mr Amazing man. Mr Amazing, we got a lot more to talk about as well, but we're going to talk about the PlayStation price hike. Mr Amazing, I can't believe it. No, sorry, I do believe it. The right was in the wall.

Speaker 1:

It's right in the wall and people from the US I remember when you were talking about it, like episodes ago to other countries who got the price hike was included earlier the? U, while other countries who got the price hike was included earlier the UK, europe, australia, some part, I think South Africa got price hikes. I think San Francisco got price hikes. You know what I'm saying, mr Mazin. I mean, even if it's like this, usa, usa, usa, not anymore.

Speaker 2:

Not anymore, Mr Mazin. The tyrants came back to bite us.

Speaker 1:

Yep, as of August 21st, mr Mazin, playstation 5 will cost you $549,. Mr Amazing, that's the one with the disc drive. The digital PlayStation 5 will cost you $400 or $500, mr Amazing, I hate to say $49. It's $500. Let's keep it $100. Ps Pro will cost you $750.

Speaker 2:

that's right, mr Amazing, damn it so pretty much we got a 50-50-50-50. We got a $50 increase on all 3 mods of the PS5. But there is some good news though, mike oh, when the holidays come, to get sales no, the accessories are not going up, at least.

Speaker 2:

Oh, that's the only good news. We got what we do. Like you said, we're not surprised as far as the footsteps of the Xbox, and we'll probably talk about it later on the show Nintendo. So my thing is this, though I don't know if you were surprised, like you stated earlier in the show, we saw it in other countries, you knew it was going to come today. The Terras, in effect, it got paused. Tariffs went, in effect, it got paused, but this time the tariffs are full effect now. And Sony, as they stated, you know, as they stated, challenging economy.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, according to Isabel Tomics yeah, tomaris, isabel Tomaris. Similar, yeah, tamaris, isabel Tamaris. Similar to many global businesses, we continue to navigate challenging economic environment, mr Amazing. So, sony, after President Markham stated that, as a result of this, we had a difficult decision, mr Amazing, we had to increase the recommended retail price and you know what You're going to have to pay for it? Yeah, pretty much. We're not going to take the cost.

Speaker 1:

We didn't even have a retail price, and you know what You're going to have to pay for it Pretty much. We're not going to take the cost. We ain't going to suck the prices.

Speaker 2:

I'm not going to get into a political battle here, just real quick. We were told that the big companies will eat the cost. Who believed that? Who believed that? I did it? But a lot of people did, michael. A lot of people did. They said that Bitcoin's going to eat the course and we're going to have surplus of money in our hands. And obviously this has not been the fact, and especially now, I think it's going to start hitting a lot of younger generation, because now you're hitting what they like the games.

Speaker 1:

So when you start hitting things that young people like, they start becoming aware Nike's, Nike's, yeah. Sneakers, shoes, clothing, gaming. Let's put them 100. Everybody not going to like it. Everybody's like.

Speaker 2:

No one wants to pay more for something which is understandable, it's also hitting aluminum, a lot of aluminum metals, all that stuff.

Speaker 1:

So it's affecting everybody.

Speaker 2:

Everyone's going to get hit with this. And then my thing is this is that Sony have flirted the idea of opening up companies in America to fight the cost of the price hike, but I don't think that's been. That ain't happening.

Speaker 1:

You know, I'm only taking a bill for manufacturing warehouses, for that I know I figured it was going to happen.

Speaker 2:

But even when my thing is, even if they did build the companies here inflation and all that stuff it's going to happen. But even if my thing is, even if they did build companies here, inflation and all that stuff you're going to have. It's going to be about the same thing in my eyes. To be honest with you, the cost was not. You weren't really going to save that much.

Speaker 1:

Get the hell out of here. Mr Mazin, I know weed is legal in America, but some people overdoing it if you believe that. If you believe that. But, Mr Amazing, I mean you think this affects Sony. As far as Christmas sales, Nope, I think when you know the holiday comes, they will have the Black Friday sales, the holiday sales, which will normalize the price of $700. Because mostly they'll cut $50 off.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so pretty much the sales. You'll be getting that original price again.

Speaker 1:

Yeah it's basically the original price again.

Speaker 2:

And so you're like well, yeah, I'm getting the original price now, but yeah, nah, I think Sony will still do well, and I think they'll do very well if they have anything that attractive coming out the holiday season. That's how I look at it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, mr, amazing, anything else you want to say about this? The surprising, not surprising news of the Sony PlayStation hike in the USA.

Speaker 2:

You know what? I'm not even mad at Sony. I'm not mad at them yeah. I can't be mad at them because they had to. It's a business decision that had to be done, Because they already complained that their system was selling at a loss before all this.

Speaker 1:

No, it was making profit, but the terrorists came and it's disrupting their profits and disrupting their profits.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and they're also not selling as much either. Well, they're still selling. They're selling, but they're not as hot as when they were three years ago.

Speaker 1:

No, but wait how much they sold now.

Speaker 2:

What are the numbers? Actually, I don't know that assumption they sold 80 million PlayStations.

Speaker 1:

More plausible, yeah. So they're still hot for a long time. They're still burning.

Speaker 2:

Burning like a candle.

Speaker 1:

So I mean, come on, Mr Macy, Compared to what Xbox?

Speaker 2:

Not in day Xbox. They should have the prices.

Speaker 1:

A Leisure report sustained that they might not even sell 30 million consoles.

Speaker 2:

Damn Looking at like Nintendo, for Nintendo One sells, not Nintendo One sells two, nintendo sells.

Speaker 1:

That's not good, nintendo who?

Speaker 2:

Nintendo sells Like no sales. I'm saying, I'm trying to say like yeah, you're not selling.

Speaker 1:

Well, oh yeah, that's more like shoot.

Speaker 2:

GameCube. I guess GameCube, I think it sold more GameCube.

Speaker 1:

I guess GameCube, I think it's so more than GameCube, though, more than GameCube Probably did.

Speaker 2:

But this is not well. This is not good for them, it's not looking good for them, especially in this day and age, where you know there isn't a reason not to be blown away especially with such a powerful system that you have.

Speaker 1:

Well, I mean, we reason why and we're not going to go all the details why Xbox has fell off.

Speaker 2:

There's several reasons. First, party games.

Speaker 1:

I mean, they have games now because they bought almost every freaking publisher and studio, developers and stuff. But, like I said, because you bought these publishers, they don't make quality games. True, and like I said, what's the studio they bought? The makers of Fallout.

Speaker 2:

Okay, all right.

Speaker 1:

Because of me Bungie, because of me Blizzard, not Blizzard I didn't tell him.

Speaker 2:

I guess it's a tip. I'm telling you too Bethesda, bethesda.

Speaker 1:

Bethesda yeah yeah, yeah. Yeah, come on, let's keep it real. If you look at the game, all the games, yes, they were selling, but it wasn't like selling selling damn. That's true. You know what I'm saying. So you got these companies. Yes, you're getting more games, but were these games like damn?

Speaker 2:

Damn. I agree with you. You said no lies.

Speaker 1:

These were games that were world-changed. Like, oh shoot, they got the old, damn, they got that. It's more like, oh yeah, they got those games, that's cool. That's cool. You know what I'm saying? They have games, but Mr Amazing is going to the next topic. We're going to continue to talk about pricing. Mr Amazing, we're kind of late on this, but, mr Amazing, nintendo decided to rate the prices on Mr Amazing, the OG Switch, mr Amazing.

Speaker 2:

Nobody care.

Speaker 1:

In 2017, mr Amazing, the Switch came out. At what price, do you remember, mr Amazing?

Speaker 2:

When the original Nintendo came out. You're talking about.

Speaker 1:

Not the original Nintendo, but the original Nintendo Switch.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it was $299.

Speaker 1:

$299. Yeah, 2017, mr Amazing Guess, I wasn't waiting for it. Now Tell us. Do you know the price?

Speaker 2:

Do you tell people 50's a magic number? I think 50 all day. So the price on the Nintendo Switch 1 consoles are all going up 50, like the PlayStation 5 did. No, I think they said now the price is $339.

Speaker 1:

You're right, you're right. Actually, I'm off. I apologize. I'm thinking about the.

Speaker 2:

OLED model went from $349 to $399. Not yet, yeah, but after that the original Switch went from $299 to $339, which is about a $40 increase.

Speaker 1:

A $40 increase and the Switch Lite has increased by $29, $30.

Speaker 2:

Yeah $30,.

Speaker 1:

$30, Mr Mason.

Speaker 2:

Yes, what is?

Speaker 1:

the Nintendo reason for this. Explain to us, what do you think. What do you think, mr Maisy?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I was just doing it while not me, because we're not going to put it on the Switch 2. Yeah, that's how I look at it.

Speaker 1:

The bad thing is why are you making an older system? My reason is that they're just trying to push you to buy the Nintendo Switch 2.

Speaker 2:

Which is true because you're going to look at it. Why spend that money, you yeah?

Speaker 1:

and it's brand new. And right now I think I forgot when the sale for Mario Bundle is going to stop. Oh, so I don't know when, Because a lot of people didn't read that. Details the small print when it first came out. I remember I spoke about it, so I don't know if it's November. Whatever they do, it's probably December, probably the end yeah, but they're in stock now too.

Speaker 2:

It's so funny, when they first came out with the Switch 2, for Amazon to order it. Yesterday, I got my email saying hey, come on, amazon, we locked on in for you Just yesterday.

Speaker 1:

I got that email.

Speaker 1:

Yeah because it's like it's more more capable to get a Switch 2 than a Switch 1. And even the Wii when it came out, agree, agree, yeah. So when I got mine I mean look, my first mention I said to Mr May I was not going to get it. I think we got it correct. But I was like, like I said, when I bought it I was a stroke of luck. I was like yo, where's my Switch 2? There was like a game style like yo, we don't got it on here, we got pre-dos in Jamaica Queens. I said what I said all right, let me go see what happens and then you don't have to pull the full money down, put $50 out you got it, oh, got it, reserved it.

Speaker 1:

So I reserved it. I got it, so you know what I'm saying. Plus, I was also worried about the tariffs too. Yeah, I'm not going to pay no $100 extra for a Switch, and my thing is that I think they're just trying to force their hand with the prices of the OG Switch so people can buy the new Switch.

Speaker 2:

So you're saying Nintendo is phasing out Nintendo. The fear is what you're telling me right now.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Nintendo is phasing out the Switch Switch. Wants to purchase the Switch? Yes.

Speaker 4:

That's not phasing.

Speaker 2:

It's not a far stretch. I see what you're saying, but I don't think so. It's not a far stretch. I see what you're saying, but I don't think so. And the reason I don't think so is because I also think Nintendo is trying to get that PlayStation 2. Playstation 2?

Speaker 1:

what? The PlayStation 2. But why were you making higher prices?

Speaker 2:

That's what I'm saying. I think the price hike is because they can't do it on the Switch 2, because they want to push that unit more, but they can do it on the Switch 1 to make up for the sales.

Speaker 1:

That's also a point too, as well. But, like I said, you've been at stores, we've all been shoppers. You'd be like I might as well pay the extra $3 to get this at the feature. Let me just get that.

Speaker 2:

You know what I'm saying We'd get a car off. It doesn't have to be a car. It can just be anything, anything. Oh yeah we've been there and I understand that too. So I don't know. I think it's that they don't want to put a switch to because they want to push. So I figured, you know what? Let's put it on our older system and keep this at a lower price to keep moving units for the Switch 2. So I think that's what it is and it's easier to.

Speaker 1:

And also make more profit.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and they already made their money out of it. And also it's still technically cheaper than the Switch 2. To make Well to make and it's still cheaper cost-wise. So people might still go with that. Even though it's a price, people might still get it. I think what they might look at is we could still push the Lite and the original.

Speaker 1:

I would have kept the Lite, the same price.

Speaker 2:

I think so too.

Speaker 1:

I don't even know who has a Lite, except the little ones. Adrienne's sister has a Lite and she barely plays that yeah.

Speaker 2:

I don't really know anybody with a Lite.

Speaker 1:

To be honest, I don't really know anybody that would have liked me to switch you If you got the Switch. I knew I should have bought her the Switch, just bought the Switch to get over with, but she's a habit of breaking stuff, so that's the only thing. Well, I feel your name. If she wanted a PS4, I probably should have got a PS5 for her instead. Christmas is coming up, so I'll see, cause you can't have kids that get one person, one other person don't get it. So we'll see what happens from there we'll see but, mr Amazing, yes, sir, the Switch.

Speaker 1:

I mean overall. What's your opinion? I get it will it still sell a hot candle, the Switch 2?

Speaker 2:

well, the Switch 2 is but the Switch 1. I'm not curious about the Switch 1, so I think it's more of a PR move alright, I was more of a money move well, it's a PR move, meaning that, even though, because they know it should be at the Switch 2 that they put the hike on, but they're not gonna do that because they don't care about the PlayStation 1. I mean the Switch 1. We made our money out of this already.

Speaker 1:

Companies always care about their money.

Speaker 2:

No, they do, but they know the Switch 2 at that price will sell better.

Speaker 1:

Shoot. Where is it? Japan showed, I think, 20 PlayStation 4s. Sony is going to still take that money. They'll take that money. But, mr Amazing, let's move forward with the Xbox. The next topic, the Xbox handheld, mr Amazing, was announced during Gamescom. Mr Amazing, yo, what do you think about this, mr Amazing? You want to talk about it? You carry that one.

Speaker 2:

What are you talking about? Yo, Mr Amazing? I was on vacation. Man, Mr Amazing, you can do it. Please lead the way on this one so I can be surprised with the fans.

Speaker 1:

We're surprised with the fans. Hold on, Mr Mazin.

Speaker 2:

Without gaming traffic fiends.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, all right, mr Mazin, let's go into it, let's go into the people. Mr Mazin, I don't know what he's doing.

Speaker 4:

He's let's go, let's look into it. Oh, we got a video, let's look into it.

Speaker 1:

We want games. That's what we want.

Speaker 4:

The Xbox ally and the Xbox ally apps, the best game library on the go basically changes. Everything. Looks beautiful, I gotta say that.

Speaker 3:

Feels like we're finally hitting an inflection point now, where I'm able to take the game that I'm playing on my beefy home PC gaming rig and take it with me on a portable device. Big question a lot of players have is how are PC games going to play on a handheld form factor? The games are largely going to play like they do on PC. The Xbox Ally targets 720p, while the Xbox Ally 720p and this is not.

Speaker 1:

I don't think it's an OLED screen, Mr Amazing targets 1080p.

Speaker 3:

Most titles will perform between 30 frames per second and 60 frames per second. Most titles will perform between 30 frames per second and 60 frames per second, but certain games have the potential to hit up to 120 frames per second.

Speaker 1:

Yes, as frame rates rise and fall, variable refresh rate. Let's keep it real. Let's stop the frame rate debate. I hate when these people talk about the frame rate. Most people couldn't tell the difference. Let's keep 100.

Speaker 2:

You have to be in that field and pretty much a nerd to that field, in that field, and I'm pretty much a nerd to that field.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, everybody knows. If you look at games, you can notice when it's big time freaking slowdowns. You will see it. We will see it in games, even in MLB, the Show that happened to you a couple times. I'm like what the freaking slowdown for? You know what I'm saying, but let's continue will deliver a consistent and fluid visual experience.

Speaker 3:

Players can further fine-tune a variety of device settings in the command center, from optimizing battery life to remapping buttons. The Acer's Armory.

Speaker 2:

Crate has three distinctive settings.

Speaker 1:

Remapping buttons. Okay, that's nothing new start gaming sessions you have.

Speaker 4:

There is a performance mode, so your battery life is optimized and, of course, for the top performance factor you would use Turbo. Note when we talk about optimizing for handheld, it's less about stripping games down and more about ensuring playing the game on a handheld is as easy and effortless as possible. Games that run at 30 frames per second or above will get a should perform well on this device tag. Games that hit 60 frames per second or above will carry a should perform great on this device. Tag Games that hit 60 frames per second or above should perform great on this device. Tag I should like that feature.

Speaker 4:

Games that haven't been tested yet will have a performance check. Not available yet. Label as more games are tested, updated and optimized for handheld.

Speaker 1:

We gotta wait for all that.

Speaker 2:

I kinda like that feature though it's cute.

Speaker 3:

Making sure that it's gonna work seamlessly with a controller. Are all menus and prompts working as intended, and are those UI elements properly sized for the smaller screen? Another example of an essential compatibility feature is having a gamepad keyboard. I like that also all these checks. They're considered handheld optimized and will be labeled as such. On the Xbox home screen you'll find a new handheld optimized channel that will curate these titles for players. We test on the Alley all the time as we're building Roblox For a player that needs more immersion.

Speaker 1:

It's Roblox, bro Roblox, come on the number one selling game in the world. Roblox, it's Roblox, not really.

Speaker 3:

That's Minecraft.

Speaker 1:

That's Minecraft actually. How many frames?

Speaker 3:

Didn't tell you how many frames, though.

Speaker 4:

It's not Game Pass, epic's my game pass.

Speaker 1:

Now you can bring your entire game collection together, any recently downloaded Epic Store, windows Store, battlenet, the Epic Game Store, I don't know Band Next, steam, gog or EA, I don't know.

Speaker 3:

Gog, it finds them and will show them in your game library and right on the Xbox home screen under most recently.

Speaker 1:

I feel like he lost a lot of weight. Phil Spencer, I hope he didn't just be healthy and not sick?

Speaker 4:

Oh, absolutely yeah.

Speaker 2:

Oh she's hot.

Speaker 1:

She's pretty Putting a game of stereotype. The game was already in the basement. Thank you, sean.

Speaker 3:

Thank you, appreciate it, ms Ma, I appreciate it, it's the worlds and characters that I love, anywhere that I want to play. This is going to be awesome. Now we literally have a device that could go with you everywhere.

Speaker 1:

Mr Amazing, what do you think about it?

Speaker 2:

Um, it's not Alright. It's not doing that much difference to what the Steam Deck and Switch have done. It does look more powerful. Like I said, there's other features. I did like Go ahead.

Speaker 1:

Switch. You can't play Steam games on the.

Speaker 2:

Switch. Well, yeah, no, no, no, I'm just talking about overall as a handheld Okay. But it's okay. But that is like a hefty price and I don't know if people are ready for that price. Whatever it's going to be, Did they mention it? No, they didn't mention the price.

Speaker 1:

It's supposed to be released October 14th.

Speaker 2:

That's right around the corner. They haven't released the price yet.

Speaker 1:

They haven't released the price yet. That's insane. They have to break down the microeconomics of this, Mr Mazin Gotcha. But Mr Mazin we'll look at the YouTube channel and some of the comments. Yes, yes, one of the guys who commented on YouTube said he has 559 games owned on Xbox account. Only 25 games support Xbox Play Anywhere. Calling this advice to Xbox makes no sense when you can't run 95% of the Xbox games.

Speaker 1:

I didn't know that, wow you should call it a PC Rod Ally or Windows Rod Ally. Losing the Xbox name in the handle is incredible misleading. Imagine your parents buy you a gift and you find this out.

Speaker 2:

Wow, I didn't know that. Actually, that's very interesting.

Speaker 1:

Also, another user on YouTube said my only issue is when Sarah Bond, at 332, stated if okay, if it's a PC native game, you should go and able to play right there. If it's a console game, you have to cloud play it see the little things we don't know about. Yeah so, mr amazing, we think about that. We're not gonna go into specs and stuff. I mean you can go online check it. Um, the white one is less expensive than, uh, the black one, obviously more powerful yeah, it's more powerful, more you know.

Speaker 1:

so what's amazing? The rumor price points is going around $800 for the Supreme maximum one and the lower end one is between $500 to $600.

Speaker 2:

Depends about what I expected to be honest with you. Almost the same fit as the Steam Deck.

Speaker 1:

But I understand I mean, you spoke about that they had to get on this handheld kick. We don't know how long this is going to last. I don't think it's going to wait until soon. But it's good that they're dipping in it and see how it is and if anything they need to correct, they can correct it when they make their own official one, if they choose to make their own official Xbox one?

Speaker 2:

I hope they don't, but they said they are.

Speaker 1:

Bad idea? All right, mr Mason, but because Sony's going to do theirs.

Speaker 2:

That's fine they.

Speaker 1:

And plus they have more experience.

Speaker 2:

Exactly Making that type of home run. Yeah, the Sony portal not too long ago.

Speaker 1:

And also what the previous PlayStation portals Visa Vita, yeah and many other ones.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so they have a history.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so. So, mr Mays, is that a day, one purchase?

Speaker 2:

No, it's not, but I'm intrigued and interested to tell this.

Speaker 1:

So, mr Mays, okay, let's line it up for you. Yeah, I don't really play hand-off, I'm just keeping 100, everybody I think I bought one of those little small handholds Plays like so many games. Mr Amazing is still in the box. Still in the box. Good quality stuff still in the box. Still in the box, mr Amazing. But if you line up Switch 2, steam Deck and this new ally, how are you lining one, two, three?

Speaker 2:

On performance or something.

Speaker 1:

The distance On performance or sales, the distance how much, if you was going to buy, if you were going to rate If I'm going to okay you know what Everybody knows. Okay, if you want a must-have for you one, two, three, Okay, gotcha. One, two, three, what's the must-have?

Speaker 2:

Everyone knows I'm a big Nintendo fan. I bleed Nintendo, but I'm going to put Nintendo console sales. Of this, I'm going to go with the Steam Deck as number one, because you always know I'm going to win. I know you're going to say that.

Speaker 2:

I know you're going to say that I always wanted a Steam Deck, and I've played the Steam Deck and I've played the Switch obviously the Switch 2, too, via Michael, but I've also had a Switch on myself. I like it there, like the way it holds, I like the games that they have for it and I like the way you can mod it as well, too yeah, that's also a thing too, because I thought about getting one, but, like I said, I'm not a handheld person but you can connect to your TV.

Speaker 1:

Can you connect to your TV?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, they sell like a deck that you can do that with.

Speaker 1:

I just don't know if I have the time for all those systems.

Speaker 2:

No, I know what you're saying, because eventually there has to be a time where you're going to be like you know what I got to stop.

Speaker 1:

I can't Let me enjoy them instead of just keep buying. Yeah, I just don't have.

Speaker 2:

I just don't have the time, I just don't have, then it'll be the Switch 2, followed last, only because I haven't touched it. I lied.

Speaker 1:

Okay, all right, mr Mason.

Speaker 2:

What about you? I'm not a handheld person, but if you used to put one in the order.

Speaker 1:

I'd probably go the same order. I'm not mad at that. I'd probably go the same order. Like I said, I don't consider the Switch 2 a handheld because I rarely play it a handheld to a handheld, because I rarely play the handheld. I can count on my hands how many times I play the handheld. I always play the connected TV. So you know what I'm saying. So it'll be Mr Major.

Speaker 2:

Michael's Nokia phone. Go ahead, nokia phone.

Speaker 1:

No, no, you should have said PlayStation Vita. You might have been more on point with that. It'll be the Steam Deck, playstation Vita. I'll probably go in the same order. I'll go in the same order as you. Okay, fair enough, yeah, so Because we both didn't touch the ally and we never got any previews of it in person, not yet.

Speaker 1:

Yo. Can you hook us up. Can you hook us up? Can you hook us up Xbox? I've been a little softer on you. Mr Mazin's been hating on you guys for the last couple of months. I've been a little softer on you.

Speaker 2:

Softer. Come on, mr Mazin, call it as I see it.

Speaker 1:

You know what I'm saying. So, Mr Mazin, that's all you want to say about this. Yeah, I'm cool with that topic. All All right, Mr Amazing, let's go to our trail of the week. Mr Amazing, hostile Take over, Mr Amazing.

Speaker 3:

Let's check it out. Pete, would you like to?

Speaker 4:

share today. Hi, I'm Pete and I am a workaholic. Hi, pete, boss, we got a problem. We found a bug. I joined a support group of workaholics. You know this is a safe space, pete. I know we're supposed to be in a circle of secrecy and all that. I just really like my job. I need to know what he's done. Why would you choose to betray them this way? Wait, are you talking about my support group? I just needed a safe space to work through my feelings. You give up information. No, I just talk about needing work-life balance. What are you talking about?

Speaker 4:

What are you talking about? What are you talking about? What are you talking about? You, right, you don't have it in you. Everybody in the family is coming down here to kill me. Find Pete Stryker. I'm not a rat. No, I'm not a rat. You could have disappeared in the shadows, but I admire your ambition. How do I prove that I'm not a rat? By sunrise. You're welcome. We all deal in death, though, though in one way or another, I must go if I need a clean up. Yeah, pete was here. He just left.

Speaker 1:

Hostel Takeover starring Michael J White Mr Amazing, original spawn. Yes, the original spawn, mr Amazing. What do you think of it?

Speaker 2:

looks good. I'm interested. I like everything I saw. I got a little comedic action to it as well. I'm down.

Speaker 1:

I want to see it it's a solid double A quote unquote B movie. Yeah, if that was going to move it would probably go streaming if it goes. If it goes to movie there's probably limited showings, probably, but it's something I'm interested in seeing, especially if I'm gonna stream it.

Speaker 2:

I'll watch it on Netflix or Amazon, cause I was wondering if it's a movie or if it's a series yeah, it's a movie.

Speaker 1:

it's a movie, it's a movie, but, mr Mays, I guess you.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I agree with that. It's not bad. I thought it was cool. He looks great man, Right.

Speaker 1:

I agree. I know what it is. It's highly action Story narrative. It's interesting, but is it going to be Oscar award winning stuff? No, no.

Speaker 2:

It's entertaining.

Speaker 1:

It's entertaining as long as the movie's not too long. Let's say I went 35 minutes, cool. If it goes two hours, ah, that type of movie is almost outstated outstated.

Speaker 2:

Welcome, I agree, and Michael J White is comfortable in that role. Done it before you know he's done that role.

Speaker 1:

He has good comedic timing too as well yeah, no, he is.

Speaker 2:

That's what I cause we watch. I think I see him in several things when I get married he's gone.

Speaker 1:

He's married spawned Universal Soldier.

Speaker 2:

Universal Soldier, but I feel like in all the roles he plays, this is the best one.

Speaker 1:

What is it? Cartoon Network. He was playing Dynamite I didn't know that.

Speaker 1:

Dynamite. Yeah, I watched it. It was funny. It had its moments. I didn't fully like the show, but it was something different for him to do. Keep kicking butt. Michael J White. Yes, we both greenlighted this trailer but, like I said, like we both said, it's a good double A movie, or what movie industry would call a B movie. Yeah, you know what I'm saying. So, hi, mr Amazing, let's go to our should we care topic of the week, mr Amazing, to a should we care topic of the week, mr Mason. Mr Mason, it's a superhero movie dying. Mr Mason, for the past what 20 years Superhero movies have brought people together? People got to see their favorite characters live in action on the screen. Mr Mason, imax 3D, everything, mr Mason, it seems like it's slowing down, mr Amazing.

Speaker 2:

You're not hitting that 700 million mark. That's what it is.

Speaker 1:

Yes, remember, if you ain't making a billion, you ain't a hit. But now it's falling off, mr Amazing. It's falling off, mr Amazing. It goes like this as far as superhero movies Guess what Superman made. I saw that it did well, mr Amazing. It goes like this as far as superhero movies guess what Superman made.

Speaker 2:

I saw that it did well, but it didn't do great. It made, I think, 600 mil at the time I read it. Yes, it made I think it was about 600 mil, which is still good.

Speaker 1:

Still good.

Speaker 2:

It's good by the standards of numbers overall internationally. But as of comparing to the others, like the other Marvel big hit superhero shows, no, it did not do.

Speaker 1:

Nah, it didn't beat man of Steel, it made. According to Mojo, it made 600, I think a little over 660 million.

Speaker 2:

Do you blame Superman for this?

Speaker 1:

Superman, who's Superman?

Speaker 2:

Dean Cain. No, I don't blame Dean Cain.

Speaker 1:

Dean Cain is a fool.

Speaker 2:

I was wondering if people were going to blame him for this.

Speaker 1:

No, Dean Cain is a fool. Man of Steel made $670 million worldwide gross.

Speaker 2:

Okay, okay.

Speaker 1:

Compared to the now soon man 610 million and the Fantastic Four, another movie that came out only made 473 million in change worldwide domestically yeah but both movies you're talking about are actually pretty good movies, though, yeah but they did well the good part for Fantastic Four. It did outperform Captain America Brave New World. I don't think the Dunderbolts outperformed Captain America and also for another hit Sinners. So you got to give props for that, yeah.

Speaker 2:

But Do you know what? The last superhero movie that made the 700 million mark Without Googling?

Speaker 1:

Without Googling the last Batman movie.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, oh, you got it. Yeah, that's correct.

Speaker 1:

I think the last million dollar movie for the superhero I think it was Spider-Man.

Speaker 2:

Spider-Guy.

Speaker 1:

Spider-Man. I think it's Spider-Man.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it is.

Speaker 1:

I think it's Spider-Man. So, mr Amazing, should we care a lot, a little or not at?

Speaker 2:

all. Little because I think if it was Marvel the numbers would be different. So I'm going to care. Little because I think it just depends on what's out. Fantastic Four was never a top-selling franchise numbers-wise. It never was Michael. You and I both know that.

Speaker 1:

Superman yes, it has but DC just generally does not break bank like that. But come on, you got the last, the guardians of the galaxy that may be, and people. If people rarely barely knew those characters, like they know spider-man, like you know superman and stuff like that, and I think he called people of guard because it was a good movie and maybe ant made money. The first one.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

The second one might have been we ain't gonna talk about quantum thing.

Speaker 2:

It was horrible, horrible, terrible, terrible Don't worry, iron man will be here to come. Doomsday, whatever's coming out soon, he'll come save the Marvel Universe. Oh yeah, we'll see, we'll see.

Speaker 1:

Like I said, it happened to the West. I spoke about it in early episodes. You got to worry about the structure. You're having too many superhero movies, too many movies on Disney, tv series on Disney+. They didn't want to connect it all together. Yeah, I think that's what makes it challenging. Yeah, I'm like no dude. No way, when greed comes in, comes in place.

Speaker 1:

yeah, they want to connect yeah, connect, they try to make oh, we're going to make the connected universe and take all your money, which is true, nah. So, mr Amazing, ain't there what you want to say about that? Should we care? You say you said a little. I say I care. I think you care a lot about this because it's.

Speaker 2:

I'll be worried, like I said, when the next big Marvel movie comes out and the numbers are not there. That's when I'll worry. I just feel like Marvel always saves the day.

Speaker 1:

And I don't think there's no superhero movie that's coming out this fall.

Speaker 2:

Not that it comes to mind. Not that it comes to mind right now.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, Because the only thing is and one thing about DC DC superheroes actually outperform Marvel superhero movies. Yeah, this year, this year, which is ironic, but wait, what other DC will care about other Superman this year? Oh my God, I can't think of anything. I can't what you got to be kidding us? Alright, we'll think about it. We'll probably be popping our heads in a few minutes. So, mr, there's an.

Speaker 1:

AI for that, michael, there's an AI for that there's an AI for everything, to when AI take over what you gonna do. Do you think I care? Mr Mazin let's go to the gangster of the week, Mr Amazing.

Speaker 2:

All right we got?

Speaker 1:

What do you think we have? We have those idiots your game that you was most excited about.

Speaker 2:

Tell people what are you most excited about?

Speaker 1:

The game you most excited about.

Speaker 2:

Oh, ghost of Uti, uti, yes.

Speaker 1:

Some idiots online because the female lead is called Walk Down down. Mr Mason Upset about that and the lead actor is non-binary, so people are upset about it. It's woke nonsense.

Speaker 2:

I agree, I hate that.

Speaker 1:

I think it's just stupid. And then they set the hell up.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's the same way. People are upset about the whole Assassin's Creed character.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's a real. He's a real person. I think people that's a Kree character. Yeah, he's a real person. It's like if it doesn't fit what you believe a character should be, they get upset Because they've never done before and they did have female sound rights. Stop it, people.

Speaker 2:

Stop it.

Speaker 1:

Stop the nonsense. But they're the wanks of the week. Mr Mason, I agree, let's say it together Yo, those idiots are the wanks of the week.

Speaker 3:

Mr Amazing, I agree, let's say it together. Yo, those idiots are the wanks of the week.

Speaker 1:

Mr Amazing, we out of tune. Mr Amazing, that's happening on vacation. Yo, you went with the idiot and guess who threw me off. Oh my God, All right, Mr Amazing. Shout out. The week goes to Mr Amazing. Shout out. The week goes to all those kids going back to school, Mr Amazing.

Speaker 2:

That should be the parents, because they're the happy ones, michael, that should be the parents.

Speaker 1:

You know what I'm saying? Shout out to them Go back to school, Make those grades people. Make them grades y'all. All right, people. This is the Game of Traffic show. This is Mike Sampson. Like and subscribe. Don't forget us. We're still working on a YouTube channel. We got to talk to Mr Amazing. I don't know if we're going to do it with our faces on it or later on. Most likely we might start without the faces showing our faces at the time, but most likely we'll probably start without it and we'll go from there.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so I got your haircut for nothing. Yeah, shut the hell up.

Speaker 1:

Yes, yes, he got a haircut Anybody. Too bad, you can't see it. All right, all right. This is Game of Thrones. For sure we out Peace Later, y'all Later, outro Music.
