And the Console World Console War might be finally over, Mr. Amazon. It's been a knockdown, drag them out, what, 20 years, Mr. Amazon? Of Xbox Works and PlayStation? It could be the end, Mr. Amazon, which is a recent announcement, Mr. Amazon. But we're also gonna talk about Trail of the Week Prime. I told people stop having monkeys for damn pets. But today, we begin today's show talking about Mr. Amazon. Halo. Ooh, Halo. Xbox, Xbox Cornerstone, Golden Child, Mr. Amazon is going to the PS5 next year. Mr. Amazon, what you gotta say about the remake? I saw the I saw the I saw I saw Mr. Mason. Halo campaign evolved. Looks pretty good. A lot of people say about the sprinting. It looks kind of funny. But Mr. Mason, what do you think about this, Mr. Amazon? Shocked.
SPEAKER_00:Never thought in my life I see Halo. I can't believe it, Mr. Amazing. Xbox Amazon outrageous. I would read too. It's like seeing, I don't know, uncharted on another Xbox. You never thought you'd see stuff like that. I mean, I know things are cross-platform now, but these are your franchise games you're talking about. Franchise games, you don't usually expect them to come to another console. Like, I don't think I'll see like Mario Brother coming to the PlayStation. Or God of War on the Xbox. That'd be just weird. I don't know how I feel about it, but you know, Xbox model is we don't care, just give us your dollars. So that's the new attitude on everything with the Xbox. So I can see why it's happening, but Mr.
SPEAKER_01:Mason.
SPEAKER_00:I didn't think I would see it, to be honest with you. I don't mean to cut you off.
SPEAKER_01:I'm gonna cut you off. I told people, what do you think was gonna happen to make acquisitions? When they say this, they have to pay the bills, Mr. Mason. Of course, and the bills are bills. We made six, what was the acquisition what, sixty or something billion? How much it was? I don't remember the billions of dollars, Mr. Amazon. We only sell to one platform? Dude, I constantly not make a sales. We have to raise game, we have to raise Game Pass. Mr. Mason, of course they had to put other their games or other platforms.
SPEAKER_00:What match your question? What? And I told people that so. Do you think Microsoft summoned back ahead fear or they look at it as a victory for them? I don't know how you wanna look at it if it sells the f just as much as the original one sold on the PlayStation? I don't know how much original one was sold. I think we have to look at it. I mean, obviously we have to look at it, but let's just so the numbers are comparable. Is that like a slap in the face of Microsoft or Microsoft's like, yep, our plan worked? Like, how do you look at that?
SPEAKER_01:I don't think that's the original plan, Mr. Mason.
SPEAKER_00:I mean, like, I mean, I mean I saw their plan, but say, uh how what how do you think Microsoft looks at that? Let's say the the remake uh Halo Evolution was Evolution, right? Evolve. Evolve campaign evolve sells better than it's sold on the original Xbox. Do you look at that as, all right, we won, we got our numbers? Or do you like, damn, yo, we really losing the PlayStation? Yo, these the original what if our original uh campaign is selling better on the opposite system? How do you look at that? I mean, it's a win for them regardless. But how do you look at that though? Did you look at it like yo, maybe we should give up on this on this console war? Like that we really lost. Like, I don't know, man. I I feel it's mixed emotions here. I mean, maybe it's just me. Maybe it's just me. It's like it's like Mario going on PlayStation and then doing better that was on PlayStation. It's like I I don't feel hurt from Nintendo. But I don't know. I don't I don't know how to look at that because it at the end of the day, you got your money, and at the end, it's all about the money, it's all about the dollars, like you usually say.
SPEAKER_01:I uh I always say, Look, it's about it only sold six million copies. Yeah, it'll surpass that. That's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_00:It's got yeah, but I mean it, but in fairness, it's 24 years ago, and the gaming world was not so at that time, that was big time. Big numbers, exactly. So we have to be fair. We have to look at what six million copies is probably worth worth like 20, 20 million. But at that time, that was great.
SPEAKER_01:I mean, that's and another season for any um any um video game to make five five, six million copies a copy, sell that's pretty good. So I think with the combination with PlayStation 5 and Xbox um One Players and PC players, it should sell more than that. I agree. It should sell more than that. So I do think it'll sell more than that.
SPEAKER_00:I mean, yeah, I mean, why, but we also have to put a little context behind it. So with the the Evolve, the Captain Evolve launching in 2026 on the PlayStation 5, it's also celebrating what, Michael? Do you know? It's 25th anniversary of the game.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, yeah, that's right. That's right.
SPEAKER_00:So that's there are. So that'll be that'd be, I think, in Nov. That's be next fall. I didn't they didn't say, I don't think they said. I believe next fall. Probably it'll be next fall. Next fall makes more sense for for it to be released. But it'll be celebrating 25-year anniversary since the release of that game. So that's pretty cool. We've seen other franchises come to PlayStation like the Meta, like the uh Gears of War. So it means shouldn't be surprised.
SPEAKER_01:They said only four, remember? Phil Spencer saying only four? Only four games we'll see later on. It's amazing. They always knew. And like I said, we can't a lot of people gala games like the blame like the blame Phil Spencer, Sarah Bond. They have bosses to answer.

SPEAKER_01:They have bosses to answer. And what it comes down to is hold up, we spend such such amount of money. I need to see such such a small profit. Exactly. So that I mean they're good and well Tensor, Sarah Bond, and Phil Spencer, they probably team Xbox, but Microsoft is team money.
SPEAKER_00:Of course. And that's what Michael, that's what really matters. Yeah, let's keep it real. That's all that matters, the money. I mean, well, how would you feel, for example, you sold the rights to gamer traffic, right? To IGN. And then you see, I don't know, look somebody doing your show, and they're doing a show making more money on IG, because obviously IG is a bigger platform than what we are. Let's keep it real. They're making bigger money. How would you feel? Or you sold your show. IGM paid you out. They gave you your money. You you made your money, so you're good. You you you you're not thirsty out there, Michael. You got your pockets are full.
SPEAKER_01:But my mom is amazing. We're on the show. We are, we are game traffic, so that means our platform is on IGM. We sold our rights, Michael.
SPEAKER_00:We sold our we're no longer on the we're not we're no longer making a show. It's an IGN show now. It's IGM presents gamer traffic and they have their hopes doing it. But you got paid. You got paid. So my my in this instant is the the oh, I got paid, so I don't care.

According to her, uh the new Xbox console will be like a PC, very high end, and it'd be like the ROG, uh Rogue Ally, which is not that the if you she's more like talking about the high end, not the$600 one, the thousand dollar one. So you gotta think this console basically is around about a PC slash Xbox.
SPEAKER_00:Okay, okay, okay.

SPEAKER_00:So this is gonna be a thousand dollar product we're talking about.
SPEAKER_01:But it's a thousand plus, Mr. Mason.

SPEAKER_01:Yeah, according according to the according to the article, it says, it will apparently feel like a digital Xbox console out the box. Though users will have the option to stay within the Xbox Equal system, and it'll feel similar to Xbox X and X, with the option to go other store fronts and window features as you choose, Mr. Mason. Or we're just trying to say we can go Steam and we can play Spider-Man and God of War when it comes out on Steam.
SPEAKER_00:I see.
SPEAKER_01:You know what I'm saying? But also, it's to be fully compatible with your Xbox. Let me start the full, stop, this stop. I'm tired of this Xbox talking about fully compatible. There's half this half the Xbox 3 City games don't play on it. Let's just keep 100. Which is true.

SPEAKER_00:This is where a system like the Switch would probably be in its what second year with strong titles and probably. It came out this year, so 2027 is two years from now. So it'll be second year. So this is what and it's good.

SPEAKER_00:Yeah. So this is two years when in a system like a Nintendo, that's when it starts to excel. And then at those crazy price points, I can see where the switch takes. Hopefully it's cheaper. I can see where the switch takes off, to be honest with you. And especially they're gonna have a strong um gains behind it at that point. So we'll see. I don't know, man. Dangerous territory right now for Xbox, but we'll see. We'll see, Mr. Maze. I think this is put up. This is this is it. I think this last this could be the console or uh Ride or die, baby.

SPEAKER_00:I mean, that's a cool feature, being that PS5 is only five years in. I mean, it's already putting up numbers, passwording the prominent system. I don't know if PS3 is a prominent system, but it had good numbers, so I guess I guess.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, so I'll sold the Xbox 360. That's what it's about 360. So yeah, it's a good feature.
SPEAKER_00:It's a good news. So I guess we should care.
SPEAKER_01:I think, I think, I do I care a lot. I think I'll look at the opposite way. I think what the PS3 did was more impressive than with the PS5 sales.

SPEAKER_01:So the remember, it was in the sh it was a the doodle hole. It was when it first came out. You need to get a second job to get this, go get it.

SPEAKER_01:For them to outsell the uh the Xbox 360 is actually more amazing than the PS5, actually um surpassing them.
SPEAKER_00:Well, what was PS3's top three games you think? Was it God of War, probably?
SPEAKER_01:It's God of War, Uncharted.
SPEAKER_00:And what's the other one? Every Rain. Well, I like every rain, but I don't think that's a top game. I guess the F Autos, I guess. No, the Gandhif Auto. You told me.
SPEAKER_01:It's a lot of good games towards the end. I can't remember, I was with you. I mean, you can say resistance was a very popular. Oh, resistance was very good, actually, alright. The other game, I forgot the other game that came out, was a multiplayer game of the campaign me used to play. So uh Infamous. Infamous was popular to your writing.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, they had some good games. I just couldn't remember the names, but they had you right, they had some good games.
SPEAKER_01:So I think I can't I don't care that much about it. I'm not I'm not that impressed. I think with the PS3 it was more impressive than with the uh PlayStation 5. You're the king of the hill now. Yeah. We expect that from you. Yeah, it's like you expect this like you if your kid gets in nineties. Oh, you got nine. Oh no. I would say the top five horror movies I think, well, for me personally, and um people people trying to chime in on that as well. I would say, I won't put it in particular order. Okay, but I would say the original Halloween. Okay, fair. Michael Myers, it's just the just the music behind when he the music and the movie was excellent. Uh Mike Myers just once appearing, then then you see him again. True. You know, I would say it wasn't that much body count, but the body count when it happened was marvelous.

Oh my god. Oh my god. It was called The Nightmare Before Christmas, I think it was. I like that. I thought that was pretty cool. That's a good movie.
