Let's do this. Well, everybody to another episode of the Game of Traffic Show. I'm your host, Mike Sanderson. Two of my co-hosts! What about doing today? Everybody giving up for Mr. Amazon. Again, on today's Game of Traffic Show, we're gonna talk about the PlayStation 5 in the year 2026. Mr. Amazon, what to expect? And hoping, yo. It's a PlayStation take off. Matter of fact, it's always taking over, Mr. Amazon. You know what I'm saying? It crushed Nintendo's world and it crushed Xbox. I already crushed the Xbox's world, but keep it going. Well, Mr. Amazon, what you guys say about that?

SPEAKER_00:

Well, in fairness, what Nintendo doesn't have much going for it outside the Pokemon, Donkey Kong, and Mario Kart, so. You catch Nintendo at an early early state. Mr.

SPEAKER_01:

Maze, you was talking hot mess off the air.

SPEAKER_00:

I still am. I'm still messed. I still have. Because I bet you the numbers is not by a lot, though. When you give me the numbers off the book.

SPEAKER_01:

PlayStation 5, I was sold the Swiss 2 and America Hardware sale for November, Mr. Maze. November, okay.

SPEAKER_00:

What are the numbers though? Was it but did they sell four million units, Nintendo sold two? I mean, like, I I that's what I want to know. You could win, but you did you could win the battle, but was it close? Was it close? Was it close? I well, I want to know what the numbers are. Did they sell 10 PlayStations, Nintendo sold eight? Or did they sell 10, Nintendo sold two? I mean, uh what what's the number of?

SPEAKER_01:

According to November. Okay. According to VG Charts, Mr. Main, PlayStation 5 sold 913, 913,000 units. Okay. Almost a million in that time frame in that time frame. Nintendo Switch sold 586,000.

SPEAKER_00:

Not bad. So it's half. Okay. So answer your question. That's good. No, that's good. I'm my god, I can that's good.

SPEAKER_01:

Ask your question.

SPEAKER_00:

SPEAKER_01:

You gotta also remember you is this PlayStation units or PlayStation six six five units only.

SPEAKER_01:

Play the five unit why don't you just sell it? No, because it's off there.

SPEAKER_00:

You talking about this this numbers might include PlayStation 4 units. I don't think that you can't.

SPEAKER_01:

You said PlayStation 4 was on sale. Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

So this might include PlayStation 4 unit.

SPEAKER_01:

So this number's inflated because PlayStation 5 was on sale. It's like me putting the Switch. Why the PlayStation Dominic? Mr. Amazon, the PlayStation Digital was on sale for 400 bucks. Oh, that's why. Come on with that. Start with that.

SPEAKER_00:

It was cheap. It was cheaper than the Switch. Of course, it's gonna do well. Switch Switch 2, actually, I should say, because cheaper than that, actually. So that does help. That does help. What we think was gonna happen, Mr. Amazon. Of course. That was a smart play by Sony by doing that. Because it's like, hey, let's let's let's jump into this uh holiday spirit and cut it to Nintendo cell by dropping our price cheaper than Nintendo Switch 2. And people people eat it up, and they did.

SPEAKER_01:

Yo, the cut, like I said, uh the PlayStation 5 is I wouldn't say unstoppable, but it's unstoppable, Mr. Maze.

SPEAKER_00:

You know me. I'm I'm I I I I'm a big Sony fan as well, so I'm not mad at that. But keep it going, keep it going because Mr. Sony. So Sony's supposed to have a good year this year.

SPEAKER_01:

As I said, current price for the Nintendo Pro. Nintendo Pro? Sorry. I'll say, wow, Mike. When did this come out? Well, we talked about the consoles for this year. The current price for a PS Pro is$749.

SPEAKER_00:

Okay.

SPEAKER_01:

During the Hollywood season, it was sell for$649. Oh, wow, about the same price as Xbox regular console.

SPEAKER_00:

Yes.

SPEAKER_01:

With a drive is$550 and the digital is$450, Mr. Mason, currently right now.

SPEAKER_00:

Okay.

SPEAKER_01:

During the holiday season, it did outsold the Nintendo Switch 2. Like stayed before. You know, so. And in the total console sales, I don't know if it updated sales, but as of November, they sold over 84 million. You talk about Nintendo. No, Nintendo was a very good one.

SPEAKER_00:

I mean Sony. Yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I give you that number. Yeah, yeah, 84. Nintendo's at 12, 12.9. Total sales. Yeah, but but remember, Nintendo's not even a year old.

SPEAKER_01:

But Mr. Mason when it comes to Japan, Tennessee Switch is still king.

SPEAKER_00:

Of course. I'm surprised though. Because Sony's a ja is a Japanese brand, also.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

They're still king. What was the numbers there?

SPEAKER_01:

I don't have the total numbers that happen, but I know Nintendo is still outsold them.

SPEAKER_04:

Okay.

SPEAKER_01:

As console-wise. And also the PlayStation 5 is far behind the PS4 as sales. Total sales in Japan. Oh, interesting. For that total period of times. Okay. Not that far behind. PlayStation 5 sales is over 7 million in Japan. At the same time, the PlayStation 4 sell was over 8 million. Okay. In the same 61 month time period. Okay. So like I said, Nintendo's Nintendo's still king out there.

SPEAKER_04:

Okay.

SPEAKER_01:

But uh PlayStation knock and lack of trying when they had the only Japan-only console. So you can't even bring it out to Germany, British, Columbia, whatever you want to go. USA, uh, Africa, no. It only works in Japan.

SPEAKER_00:

Gotcha. Gotcha. Gotta give me a modded one.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah. Mr. Mason. Yes, sir. Let's talk about the games. Ooh.

SPEAKER_00:

Oh, yeah. Of course. Well, I'm not gonna lie. I think Sonya has some of the best lineups for games of 2026, to be honest with you. But go ahead. You started off, Mike.

SPEAKER_01:

SPEAKER_00:

Mason. Yeah. What games are coming out? Oh, you're actually. Oh, for Sorry.

SPEAKER_01:

Well, the games are a slave to come out for 26 that we know about is Wolverine. Yep, that's that's a that's a that's a heavy hitter. Soros. Heavy hitter. Well, we don't have a date yet, but call out this fall. Sorrows is supposed to come out, I believe, in March or April. Mm-hmm. Soros is March or April. Yep. Is it March? You said yep.

SPEAKER_00:

No, I'm not sure. It's one of those. I don't know, Beyonce. I have to Google that also.

SPEAKER_01:

You got Marvel's Tolkien fighting.

SPEAKER_00:

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_01:

Souls. They haven't had a date yet. But I do I one thing I don't like once again is um mechanics to tag in and out.

SPEAKER_00:

Oh yeah. Why?

SPEAKER_01:

I think you gotta build a certain media level to tag somebody. I didn't know that. And I don't like that. I didn't know that.

SPEAKER_00:

I should do like that. I should do the only share one bar. Oh, but that's happened to other games before. I don't know. I don't know. So it's not like the like the Mar vs. Um Capcom when they each have their own bars.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah. They got Neo 3, I believe it's coming out in February.

SPEAKER_00:

Okay.

SPEAKER_01:

You got Phantom uh Phantom Blade, which I'm really hyped for. That post come out, I believe, in September of this year. Or late August. That game really hype about Phantom Blade.

SPEAKER_00:

Okay. Feather Blade does look good too, actually. I mean, for those who are gonna- That's the game I've been really hyping about.

SPEAKER_01:

Feather Bade that one? Yeah, that's the game really hyped. That's a good game. That's a good game. I agree with you. As well as Wolverine. Yeah, Roof is one of my stars, you won't hype on the I am. Because Eternal, I'm playing actually playing Eternal now. It's a pain in the neck. We knew that. It's a pain in the neck.

SPEAKER_00:

I mean, there's other games too. Like there's Lego Batman for those who are into that.

SPEAKER_01:

I mean, like I said, I'm just focusing on the first party games. Lego back is called for uh multiple systems. Yeah. I'm actually hyped for the Lego Batman. When it's coming in May?

SPEAKER_00:

I think so.

Anamusha. Anamusha is this called the The The Way of the Sword? Yeah, that also. That's that looks good.

But like I said, Blackbeat is called for Xbox too.

SPEAKER_00:

Is it cut for the Switch?

SPEAKER_00:

I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. That I don't know. And then obviously the one that everyone talks about but don't talk about, gets disappointed, gets happy. Grand Theft Auto. So we'll see. That's that's the one everybody has circled. That's the one every developer studio is looking at. Because that's the one they don't know. They should release their game around that time frame. The one that everybody's scared. The King Kong of video game. That's crazy that Grand Theft Auto is that, yo. It's crazy. But that's the one that everybody's watching. So we'll see if that does come out. Because there's so many rumors through that game. We'll talk about more in depth, though.

SPEAKER_01:

I mean, like I wouldn't think the only rumors I see, Jason Trier was on a recent podcast saying that the content portion of the game is not complete as yet.

SPEAKER_00:

That's crazy for them to come out and say that because this game was supposed to come out last year.

SPEAKER_01:

So crazy. I mean, beginning of this year, you hope by June they work on the bugs.

SPEAKER_00:

But you I like I told you when I told you it was gonna be it was gonna be uh pushback. I said size of a game is coming out and you get multiple trailers. So by like May, if you don't have a trailer by at least a trailer by May and another one by the summertime, this game ain't coming out. It is not coming out. That's what you tell tell the size of a game that's it's that's about to be released. And especially for some game that that magnitude. This should be multiple trailers by that, by that.

SPEAKER_01:

I see what you're saying. All right, Mr.

SPEAKER_00:

Well, there are exciting news around, I mean, outside the gates, there's a lot of hardware news, Michael. Please share the hardware news with us.

SPEAKER_01:

Hardware news, or but uh, new controller's coming out. Yeah. Hey, my hyperpop collection, three new designs for PlayStation accessories, which is the which is coming large and March. Uh three main colors is Mr. Masing. Okay, techno, techno red uh red, remix green, and red and blue. Yeah. Mr. Amazing. And it's uh the pre-orders that happen really soon. I believe it was next week, Mr. Amazing. Okay. You know, in my opinion, man. The only thing people are ticked off if you have an older PlayStation model won't be able to get it. Why? The coverage. They only made it for the new PlayStation models. Oh so I don't think I can't get it. Or the pro the pro. Oh, so you could get your you could get it. I could get it if I have a slim one.

SPEAKER_00:

Oh, so I can't even get it for my I I got the original model.

SPEAKER_01:

You can get the controller. I like the red and black. I don't know, man. They're too bright for me, man.

SPEAKER_00:

There's a black one there, or is this a black one? The red and black. Oh, you suppose the red and black. Oh I don't know, man. These are not my my my type of colors, to be honest with you. So personally, I have no choice. But yo, this is hot. Yeah. Yeah. It looks like the color of your uh what do you call it? The mix. It's bright like that. So these are like high bright neon bright green, high bright red. These are very bright colors, man. I feel like I'm a techno, a techno party, man. But it's not for me, but they're nice. LD uh LED lights. Yeah, pretty much what it is, to be honest with you. These are not for me. These are not for me. I did like the old ones, the ones they did a year ago, the galaxy colors. Those I liked. I end up getting the purple galaxy controller they went, they got priced around$85, Mr.

The cover is I believe$76, Mr. Mason. No.

SPEAKER_00:

No. But okay. They're not for me, though. But shout out to all those who want to support it. Not mad at that. I might get the red one. If I was to get one, it would be the red one as well. But just not for me.

SPEAKER_01:

Alright, Mr. Mason. Let's talk about more accessories. The PlayStation Portal. Still hot, burning like a candle.

SPEAKER_00:

You you you bought one of the show. What's your take so far? I played it at one time. No, I played it more than one time.

SPEAKER_01:

I played it more time. Play it more than one time. Mr. Mason, who thinks they're a comedian. Suck. But uh I played it. The lag has gotten better. Okay. I played mostly like a couple indie games on it. Okay. They played no major big game on it.

SPEAKER_00:

So when you play it, have you when you played it while you're at home or have you taken outside your house?

SPEAKER_01:

I'm mostly been home. I've been home.

SPEAKER_00:

So you haven't tested it outside your house?

SPEAKER_01:

I might test it at work during the week. Okay. Let us know. That's what I want to know. The only thing is my office is in the basement. Mmm. So connectivity. That could be a problem with connectivity. The office in the basement. That could be a problem with connectivity. I want to try to see what happens this weekend, and we'll tell everybody on the next podcast how it went. Okay. You know, so.

SPEAKER_00:

And it still sells for$200 or did it be a good one.

SPEAKER_01:

I got mine for$179.

SPEAKER_00:

That's a good price. So you got yours on sell.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah. So you saved about$20. I I uh went up a tear. So it was only$25 during Black Friday if I go up a tear. Okay. So I pay so Mr. Maze is still paying$3. Every three months, Mr. Maze is paying the why. I know that's why. This get the got the basic thing for$79. It makes more sense.

SPEAKER_00:

Like who says you just glad. Now that I think about it, so I'm spending this at least four times. I spent about$167 to give or take. Give no more. They love Mr. Maze. I haven't a stupid plan. I'm about to keep it real. Sucker. Like this guy's a sucker. Yeah, I I yeah. I'm gonna do what you said. It makes sense.

SPEAKER_01:

It just makes more sense. So uh but the PlayStation Portal, but the first it's still one, it's one of the most popular accessories for the PlayStation 5. And the tunes sell well. Fair. So I'm gonna see.

SPEAKER_00:

I'm gonna see. I mean, what is it to say about Sony, man? So Sony does it all.

SPEAKER_01:

But Mr. Mason. Yes, sir. Let's take a break for Sony and let's look at the Marble trailer for Doomsday. Oh, they they got that already? Yeah, it's a small trailer.

SPEAKER_00:

Oh, I didn't know they had that.

SPEAKER_01:

Did you refer anything crazy or not? It leaked out first, but now they got it out. Let's check it out. I didn't even know that was out. What's that coming out? That's not coming to High School, I thought. That comes out Christmas of this year. Really?

SPEAKER_00:

I didn't think that game was Christmas.

SPEAKER_01:

I didn't come out till like why Rob Jenero be in there. This guy's funny. All right, let's go to the trail. This guy, this guy, yo, I don't know what he's talking about. Mr. Mason! You saw the X-Men tea the trail for Doom. And you saw Mr. Mason the door for Doom's Days. For vengeance. Yes, sir. For wars, baby.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, I mean, this is this is any Marvel fan should have chills right now. It's it's coming.

SPEAKER_01:

You just gotta wait a whole almost a whole year for it at the end of the year, but December 18, 2026, which is this year, Mr. Man.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, all at the end of the year. But hey, these are chills. These are things people have been waiting for. And I I mean, I think green light this trailer, red light these trailers. Green light, of course.

SPEAKER_01:

I think we're hyped up. You actually see Claps Cyclops in his original outfit.

Manito and uh as they actually get the event and stuff.

Play as much as games as possible. So that's what I was gonna say, but go ahead and let you finish. And what beat of my nephew in NBA 2K. Um get my revenge in Street Fighter against these guys. I've been playing, you know, say I'm ready. They want they don't want any of no teching. They don't want no teching in me. So we'll be there. I'll be there. Yeah, you're scared. You guys are scared, scared, you want to scared. They don't play Motocot because they're scared. Yeah, I'm scared. I'm there, man. They're scared, they're scared, they're scared. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? Dragon Ball, the scared. Oh, man. I gotta do Broly. It's amazing. It's Broly IBM. You know what I'm saying? So those are my New Year's gaming resolution. As far as movies, I like to see um much movies as possible. Try to go movie theater. Actually, you know, IMAX made a great profit this year. Oh, yeah, I didn't know that. Yeah, they made a profit over a billion dollars. Get out of here. Wow, I didn't know that. IMAX. I mean, stock, stock, download. Yeah, so yeah, but Mr. Maze Does, how about you?

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, me. Uh actually mine. For gaming wise, I wanna beat four games at least this year on Sony, four on the Switch, because I'm I'm I'll I plan to get the Switch 2 later this year, probably by this May, June. No, you won't. No, I and I will go robbed the wall. So four games on Switch Switch 2. And then now with the Xbox, I'm gonna I plan to play at least three games I want to be. But I I I already know the games I want to play, though. I already know what the games I want to play. And as entertainment-wise, something I've been saying for years, I never did it. I want to watch because I I haven't seen all the marvels. So I want to start from the beginning. Yeah, and I this is my goal this year. Is that 22 movies? Give or take, probably. So that's my goal. So because you you if you do a movie a week, every weekend or so. So are you cool? I should be done that. I'll start from the or from like the beginning. Or Iron Man One.

SPEAKER_01:

That's what I tell you to start. You watch Blaine first. That's the move, that's the movie that saves me.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, I'll do that. I like I love Blade actually. I'll start with I will start with Blade. But I do want to get the book that shows the order you should watch it. I want to get that. No, I'll start, you know, I'll start with Blade and then I'll run I'll run into that. But I do want to watch there's a book that they have that shows you the order you should watch it. So I I this just want you, I definitely want to do that. And shout out to my, you know, it's so funny because my sister and her husband, they bought uh the guy from Barnes and Nobles recently, a book that tells you the hundred acclimated movies for you to watch. And so they did they did that. So that's what made me wonder, like, oh, let me let me do the Marvel one I want to watch. So like movies that like Oppenheimer, the no boy, you know, stuff like that, like considered Oscar worthy and stuff like that. But whatever.

SPEAKER_01:

It depends what you like.

SPEAKER_00:

No, no, it is, it is, but these are movies that they said you can't leave this earth without watching it. You know, you know, quote unquote.

SPEAKER_01:

But that's the catch line to get you to buy the book or something. Of course. Or watch the the video on YouTube or on Switch. I mean on Twitch.

SPEAKER_00:

So Yeah, Harry never saw what his love got to do with it, so it was it was in the book. So he was actually watching that last weekend. I was like, oh my god, you did. I was like, yeah, Kim, you never saw that. But he was watching it.

SPEAKER_01:

Okay, yeah, okay. I won't be doing that, Mr.

SPEAKER_00:

No, no, I I I I want to do the Marvel. I've always wanted to do it.

SPEAKER_01:

I would love to see. Uh I thought to have Malcolm X on there. It was. It was on there, yes. It was. It was on there. I was very surprised. Yeah. Very surprised by that. Um but like this as far as retro games, I want to buy uh Def Jam Fight for New York. Oh, okay. Okay, that's that's a good game. I love that game. That's fine. I think if in denim is not that bad, it's very affordable. Okay. But the other one's like probably 200, so that's almost 200 bucks. Damn. There's a retro store. Probably not denim war. I might trade some games in just to pick that up. Okay, okay, okay. That's a good look, too.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, so just a side note, very side note, actually, but you mentioned games. Have you heard anything about the Wu-Tang game? I'm actually very interested in that game.

SPEAKER_01:

Oh, I can't just amazing job. I'm having no interest in that game.

SPEAKER_00:

I do, I do, because you know what? I have an interest in that. I think it's gonna be a good game. Because remember, they're they're gamers. They've always been gamers and they've always won, they've always talked about making a game. That's like something they always do. So I feel like it's good, and remember, they had a good influence in that whole dev jam and all that stuff too. So I'm curious to see how this is gonna play out. Because you know, what's his name? Rizza. Rizza's all about that world. He's he's into, you know, he's about that world. I mean, if you could film what's his name with the lazy eye doing Kung Fu and Karate, what's his name? Force Whitaker, yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

What was the I forgot the movie was. Was it a ghost ghost face? Ghost killer. Something.

SPEAKER_00:

So it's ghost, yeah. But I I still can't make Forrest Whitaker was playing that room.

SPEAKER_01:

Let's forget, forget, forget the movie. You saw it. Sorry, did you see it? I saw it.

SPEAKER_00:

Is it a must see or no? Thank god. Ah, I didn't see that. I watched the bootleg.

SPEAKER_01:

Well, that's the forest when it was a lead character. I was like, yeah, I'm not watching this. And I love Forrest Whitaker, but that was it for him.

SPEAKER_01:
