Col(Res.) Grisha Yakubovitch briefs us on the War against Hamas
Let me know your thoughts on this Episode!
Briefing by Col(Res.) Grisha Yakuboitch about the war against Hamas. Recorded in Sderot overlooking the Gaza Strip. During recording, rockets were intercepted by the IDF and smoke could be seen coming from the strip where (presumably) the rockets had been fired from.
Please note that there are a few skips in the video due to distractions from military actions being taken nearby.

[00:00] Russell: All right, folks. And we're back. Russell here with the Canadian Conservative. And today I'm uploading the interview, parts one and two that I did with Colonel Grisha Jakubovich. So the colonel was originally born in Russia in the ussr and he was Jewish and he moved to Israel. When he moved to Israel, he had to give up his Russian citizenship. He then joined the Israeli military. And this interview took place outdoors, I would say a few kilometers away from Gaza. Now, why is the interview broken up into two parts? So while the interview was occurring, Hamas actually launched some rockets towards an IDF position. These rockets were intercepted, at which time the IDF a few minutes later began bombing that position where the rockets came from. So there is a bit of a break in the interview, and that's why I say it's parts one and part two. At some point in the interview, it can be a little bit difficult to hear. I did my best to try to keep as focused as I could. However, we were outdoors. We were on a platform in Stay Root that was overlooking the Gaza border. Now, because of that, it was a little bit windy. I've done my best to clean up the audio. Now, that being said, there is a mine of great information in here. The kernel goes into a lot of the history, goes into the situation that's going on right now. And he expands on a lot of the military side of the conflict. Now, there is a part three to this interview, and I'll be posting that separately. So what had happened is once this interview ended, we moved to a different location, at which time he then concluded with one more speech from that location. Now that's going to be uploaded separately, but I think there's a lot of value in here, goes through a lot of statistics, goes through history, goes through the shock of October 7th and how people just didn't think that type of thing could happen, that it wasn't going to happen. So highly recommend this interview. Now, if you do want to support my work, the best way to do so is to share this with someone, shares with someone that has questions about the Israel Hamas conflict, maybe wants to know a little bit more and other ways that you can support my work on Apple and Spotify, throw five stars on there or whatever stars you'd like. And if you would like to support my work monetarily, you can always go to the Canadian Conservative.com and I do blogging there as well as my podcast. And there is an option for a paid subscription if you choose to do so. Now, with that out of the way, let's get started, decides that he wants.
[03:29] Col Yakubovitch: To build his house. We can understand that. He will go to the bank, he will take loans, we will take a mortgage and he will build his house. He will invest his all his assets, his fortune, his future. Okay? Like an anchor in the ground here. And it's less than a mile from the Gaza Strip now. People were so sure that nothing will happen. It has no even possibility that Hamas or I don't know who will be able to harm, to hate, to achieve something. Nobody even dreamed that they will think about entering, penetrating that people were not scared to bring their young kids to the new kindergartens right behind this wall. Those are two new brand kindergartens that are supposed to serve the neighborhood here. And I think that the last time we've been here, there was no wall. There was no wall. There was. So maybe before that, but. But it's quite a new world, okay? At the. At least the beginning, six months of the war, there was no wall here, okay? And you can, you can understand it that a coronet missile, if somebody aims a coronet missile from Bethan, he can hit this, those two nucleus easily just like that. But nobody thought about it. Nobody dreamed in his nightmares that something like that can happen. This is why the city of Bert continued developing the neighborhoods. And as you can see closer and closer to the Gala Strip. Okay, so what do we see from here, guys? Can you see the three chimneys? Two chimneys. Three actually, yeah. This is the power plant that is located in Ashkelon in Israel. This is the power plant that supplied and supplies electricity to the gases here. Can I ask you a question? Do you know how much can you guess? 100%. Why do you say that? I just have a feeling. Okay? But please, can you, can you stay with me and let's. And I really want to ask you why you said it. You know what, let me add another. Another layer of information today. Who supplies water to Gaza? How much? Can you tell me, please, why you? It's the second time that you guess. You don't know. You're just guessing, but you are automatically guessing 100% because Hamas isn't going to do it. They don't have the capacity. But technology. Be honest with yourself. Is that because of the fact that back home all you hear is there is a crisis there and it's Israel's fault. Israel's fault? Israel's fault. Israel is down prepared. The Palestinians believe that Israel owes them to build that infrastructure for them. Okay, so this is what brought you to gas 100. Well, I just don't think it's a guess. It's okay. It's a logical western gas. Okay. Will it surprise you that Israel supplies only 12% of the Conception of Water 2000? Yeah, a little bit. Okay. Only 12%. That's all. Okay. And do you know who supplies the electricity or who supplied it? Not 100%. We supplied only 38. That's all. Okay. Can I ask a question? Is it okay? You are the super. You know how to build a rock? I think you know how. Yeah. How? For how to build a rock? Yes. I said how to see. No, no, no, no. How to build a rock? No, because I wasn't brought up, I didn't go to kindergarten. Just a minute. No, no, no, no. Let's not go there. Let's stay here. So you don't know. Can you ask your adopter now? And he will tell you how to get a rock? Would you like me to guess the name of your doctor? Well, I have to guess. Is that Dr. Google? Now if you ask Dr. Google how to build a rock, Dr. Google will tell you the following. Step outside, find a pole like this rod, pull it out, cut it, open it, melt it, add the tail, add the explosives. An engine or washing machine. No panels, excellent for a good engine. Some fuel. If you have no tnt, what should you use? Fertilizer, Food, Urea that you need to add in the fields of Gaza, so you'll be able to grow vegetables. If you have the low urea, you will actually grow less. And you will be playing that. You are starting to keep the plaza to death. But I've seen three times there flying in the air when the other side used Juvea as the explosives. But they have enough because they smuggle it all from Egypt. That's why if you reach, if you will follow, you see some of my interviews saying loud and clear, Egypt is responsible on the October 7th massacre, exactly like Hamas. What about Iran? Yes, I will say it loud and clear. Israel, Egypt is responsible on the massacre of October 7th, exactly like Hamas. Because all the weapons were smuggled from Egypt, all the technologies were smuggled from Egypt. Toyotas. They cannot import Toyotas from Israel. We are not allowing. It's four on four wheels. It's in the list of dual use materials. It was all brought from Egypt, underground. Underground. Simple as it is. Yes. So are you saying Egypt is more disposed within Iran for October 7th? Yes. Can you answer that? Yes, I think that Egypt is responsible. We made peace with Egypt, we are not in peace with Iran. For the last 30 something years. There is a peace going on between us and that. Let me ask you the following. You find me. Okay. The West. We have a border with Jordan. Okay. How many Israeli soldiers got that border between Israel and Jordan? The longest one that we have in Israel within Arab country. Guess. We are playing a lottery game today. So just guess. 5,000. Five times. So 300. 300. Okay. How many Jordanian soldiers regard borders between Israel and Jordan? 5,000. Same. No. More. More? Less. Why more? They don't want Palestinians there. You see, this is a typical western way of thinking. 78% of the population in Jordan are actually Palestinians. We know that they have a problem with that. The queen is actually a Palestinian queen. They don't care. It's not a problem. So if I will tell you the numbers. So up to the war, there were only three battalions guarding those war. Not more than that, but in Jordan, more than three divisions. It's I think 10 times more. The question is why? Do you remember? Do you think I. I love telling my stories on bus by saying that I've been a consultant to the Ministry of Intelligence leading of an initiative that Jordan will become hub. No, there is a purpose to that. We need Jordan to be stable. Because the ones who prevent. Another question. What are the countries? What the role of the Bor. What's a. That's an F16. Can you hear the F16? Yes, I see the results. This is. This is 250 kilo Hamas. There is a division organized that are fighting Hamas in the northern part of the Gaza Strip and Jabalia. So what you see now is Bataria and Javalia. This is. So probably what I can assume is that some soldiers saw some terrorists, they engaged with them and then when they understood that they are in, I don't know, imposed or covered or whatever, they called for a air support. And the air support key. So actually you can see a war right in front of you. As weird as it sounds, I know. And I can assure you that this bomb eliminated only terrorists and not civilians. I'm 100% sure. Precisely targeting. It's precisely target. It's precision target. And where are the civilians in Manhattan? Civilians? They are the civilians. When that happened, when they hit your meeting, the IDF asked, begged and forced the civilians to evacuate the northern part of the Gaza Strip. Hamas are preventing from those people to evacuate the moor. Because what we need is we need to make sure that there will be no innocent or uninvolved that will be killed. And what Hamas need is exactly the opposite. They need the civilians and the Unbolt to be killed, okay? Because we need it, because we need legitimacy. And we don't want to kill innocent people. This is who we are, this is our morality. And they need them then because they want to show that we are targeting civilians. So the pressure will increase. As simple as it sounds. And I know, and I know that I sound so biased. Excuse me. So cold. Okay? I would say so, okay? It's like I'm a medic. I saved person Palestinian lives with my hands in Gaza, okay? I saved personally 5,000 Palestinians in Gaza during protected edge as an officer negotiating for a ceasefire, okay? So I have nothing against the Gaza in Gaza personally, okay? And I used to be the mayor and I have a kid named after me. So I really, really loved the people of Gaza. I believed that we can live side by side. But after what I've seen in October 7th, I don't know, something happened to me as a human being, okay? And I hope that this is not how I will stay. I hope it will change, okay? That I will get back to what I used to be as a human being, as a person who believes in a better future. Unfortunately, after the celebrations in Gaza, after the 3,000 terrorists that entered succeeded and after them now there are 5,000 civilians who enter, who kill, who raped. And you've seen that and you heard with testimonies, but they are the ones who enter, killed, raped, organs molested. I don't have videos of if you've seen them of Palestinian civilians who are cutting ahead of Israelis or of Thais, okay? And I've heard several testimonies, but I don't know, something happened to me as a human being. I'm sharing that with you. I have no problem to say it, okay? And I really hope that as a human being that it will change because we have no options. They are here to stay, we are here to stay. And we will have to find ways how to live side by side, not together. It will be a long process, unfortunately. So what do we see from here then? Let's go. No, I started with Dr. Bump. Right. Guys, another question to you. They can ask Google questions. They have Internet. Yeah, from where? Israel. Are we dumb enough to supply them with ability? So they will be able to ask Google crossflow, they will be able to chat with Khamenei or that is there. So who supplies them there? Egypt? No. Gaza supply even now 12% of the water consumption to Gaza. Even though we supply even now one electricity line, because we used to supply 10 lines, 38% of the consumption and now it's only one line because this is what the Big Mama or Big Daddy, the US forced us to do. So they will be able to operate a small desalination plant in the Bala and to add water to the people of Gaza from the sea. And we supply them. Yeah, this is a 20 millimeter. I'm sorry guys, but I know to distinguish between the. Yeah, if it's a 20 millimeters. F6. Last question. What do you think? Who pays for that? For what we are supplying to go for. No, I want you to remember one thing when you leave, okay? United Nations. Do one thing. Talk, talk, talk. Okay. Who? Peace here. Us. No hunger. Who? UN Dentries. Somebody has to be. Exactly. The President. Who is the President? Joe Biden. No. Ahmaud Abbas Abbas. Ramallah. They pay. I paid for what we supply supplied to Gaza. Unwillingly, we are collecting for that the revenue, the envy, the custom envelope. 600 to 700 million shekels a month. And before we deliver the money to the pm, we deduct for what we are supplying to Gaza. So if we wanted to add to Gaza, we needed to get a green light. From who? From the guy who pays the PA in Abala. And what do you think they responded to us? No, actually I've been there. It was an answer that I got. They showed me a finger and not this one. I naturally I've been there with him, with the Minister of Energy in Brussels. We negotiated together that we needed. We needed their green light. Or that they will accept the fact that we will solve the energy problems and they will have to pick. So the answer was a very simple answer. No way. No way. So what do we see from here? This is the power plant. The same one that supplies and supplies still electricity to the Gaza Strip. Near, actually close to the power plant. There is one of our six destination plants, okay, that creates or produces 120 million cubic meters of water a year. 20 million are for Gaza. Actually, we are the only country in the world that we treat 94% of our sewage. I don't know if you knew that. The second country after us is Spain with 32%. And we share this technology with the entire world. And we also share the technology of the nation plants with many countries all around the world. Singapore can thank us that they have water. Cyprus can thank us that they have water. And other countries that I prefer not to mention, so don't mind, okay? All of them can thank us for that product. So from the three chimneys, let's go to the left. Can you see houses in between the trees. This is the tiva, the tent of the tent, the closest Masha to the border. Actually this is the first moshav where those terrorists landed at 7, 6, 29 in the moon. That's my brother in law. I said. I told him the story yesterday. I think that if I remember correctly, the numbers 19 people were killed in 19 and one is the key. Then in south of one of the. From the tree, from the tiva. Sarah, let's go to the left. Can you see? It's a road and walls. Yeah, this is the northern part of the galaxy. This is the northern border of the galaxy. From the sea you can see what seas? From the sea, from the west to the east and right behind this hill, the fence breaks like a knee and it goes down to the south to Egypt. Actually 47 or 52 kilometers. It depends who. How do you measure the fence? You reach the triangle border between Gaza, Israel and Egypt. It's only. I would say, let's say let's take the average 50 kilometers from here. That's only. It's not four or five, 10 hours drive. Defense. If you go a small value right in front of us continually the small wall you're reaching unique that you are hitting the fence. Right. This is defense. The green line between State of Israel and is where the three northern settlements were located before we evacuated them in 2005 when Israel disengaged from the Gaza Strip. Isanit in Dugit Mozart. This is the most expensive land in the Gaza Strip. But what Hamas did after they led the coup in Gaza in June 2007, instead of developing those lands or I don't know, building new, nice, amazing neighborhoods, they transferred the land to a place where they can train. So this is the major training place. And it's part of the deceit. Deceit? Yeah, deceit. The deceit that actually Hamas led long time ago. They will make us get used to the fact that they are training close to the border. So we've seen that they're trained, we've seen what they're doing. But nobody imagined or believed that they would be able to achieve what they achieve. To the left, this is the area of Al Hatatra Safa. Again to the left, this is the area of Masua Amr Beitlahia. Right there where we've seen the bomb, this is Jabalia. And to the left, behind this hill, this is the city of Gaza. Turn ourselves to the war after the war. And the war after the war is the war of lawyers. We've seen that Already In Protected Edge 2014, when we targeted terrorists, we bombed headquarters. And then we've been sued, okay, worldwide by Hamas, by people in Gaza that are suing us, that we destroyed their property. So what we learned since then, that we need during a war, during a round of escalation, to prepare ourselves with evidences for the war the day after. So each one of the houses that was destroyed is something that the IDF prepared a fire. So if we will be sued, we will be able to show the evidences that it was used as a headquarter, that it was used as a post, that it was used as a place to hide weapons, that it was the place that was a warehouse to Hamas terrorists. So more than 90%, more than. I don't want to say 100. Okay, but more than 90% of the damages inside the Gaza Strip, of buildings, structures, schools, mosques that were bombed or destroyed by the IDF deliberately, is a place that we have as the idf, that the idf, not we idf, have a file, an evidence, a video, a picture that frames the site that it was used for terror during the war. And we need to understand that, because many people accuse us. For example, let me share with you the biggest accusation. How many people were killed in Gaza during this war? We don't know. We don't know for sure. I'm not asking what you hear. What we hear is over 4,000 people. We're not here. How much? Tens of more than 10,000. 42,000. 42,000.42,000. Now, I'm sure that it would be very difficult by each one of us, okay. To convince whoever that 42,000 are terrorists. Would you agree with this? It's unknowable. You know what? Let's say that this is an open thing that we will need to discuss in the future. How many people were actually deliberately pushed by Hamas so we will kill them? How many people we killed by mistake? You know, war, in wars, friendly fire, maybe friendly fire, maybe our fire, that we targeted Hamas headquarters. And there were also innocent civilians there. Okay, but war happened in war. Excuse me for what I'm going to say shit happened. But do you know academically, what is the ratio between terrorists and innocent people? Not here. All around the world. Militaries all around the world check themselves. What is the ratio? What is the logic ratio when you conduct a war between the ones that should be killed and the ones that are innocent? Do you know? One to one? No, one to ten. One to ten? Yes. One to ten. One to ten. If you check the US Ratio in Iraq, it's one to ten. If you check the UK ratio in also Iraq, Afghanistan, it's one to ten. One to eight. Okay, ten civilians Casualties. Yes. For everyone. For everyone. Yes, yes. This is the global. Unfortunately, Russia, all around the world, not. And do you know what's the Russia in Gaza? 1, 2, 3. 1, 2, 3. There's no army in the world. No army in the world. Now let's not forget, October 7th, they started a war. They launched 2000 rockets. They invaded into Israel. They butchered and slaughtered 1200 Israelis. Civilians, people, elders. Okay, not us. They did it. So is that reasonable to say it's because of the occupation? Well, I don't think so. So if you started the war, if you butchered our children, if you raped our daughters, what do you expect? That we will not open fire on you? That we will not make you pay for what you did. So you will never ever do that again. And yet we succeeded to keep a ratio of 1 to 3. And I know it sounds cold, but sometimes we need to use cold data. Every target is a calculated target. It's like just imagine it's an elephant with balashus written heels, walking on eggs. That's how we need to conduct a war with a terror organization that started the war against us. And the same thing is with Hezbollah. October 8th, they started with us. They started to hit our towns, our cities. They said we will join and help our brothers in Gaza. It's not that we started something. They started. So what do you expect? That we will look at them and say hello guys, continue. We are happy. We are celebrating your anti tank missiles and you're rocket. Whoa. We enjoy it. The hell no. They will pay a price for what they did. And we understand, this is what we understand now, that in since May 2021 we are facing our second independence move. This is unit all started. So let's wrap it. The Gaza Strip. 365 square kilometers. 2 million people. Not 2.3, not 2.5, not 2.1. 2 million people live in the Gaza Strip now. Why I insist 2 million people? Because the 4 a few years before the war, the number was 2.3. It's a well known number that almost 300,000 people from Gaza fled Gaza. They are now in Europe. It's well known. And the number until the war, October 5th, 6th, it was 1.2.1 million. During the war? I didn't say that. The Palestinian ambassador in Egypt, he said it. I didn't say that. He said it. That during the war 100,000 Gazans left Gaza to Egypt. There is an interview. I have it if you want to see. If you want to watch it. So how many people are left in Gaza? 2 million. But the aid that is sent to Gaza is equal to 2.3 million. So let's investigate that. Why nobody checks that. Who enjoys from the 300,000 portions of food or water, I don't know what that is being shipped to Gaza. And he forgot to mention that each one of Those people paid $5,000 per head to Hamas and to the Egyptians. Let's calculate the money, guys. 5,000 people. 100,000 people. $5,000. You want me to talk about money? Why the whole world sent so much aid to Gaza? How many workers worked in Israel before the war? The ones that build the houses here. A lot. That's a good number. I prefer the correct number. 17, 500 people. If you were lucky to get a job in Gaza before the war, you will be paid something like 35 checkers a day. 10. 10 bucks. America, not Canadian. Okay, if you were lucky to get a job and you were an expert in digital tunnels In Gaza, it's 67, 60 shekels by Hamas. But if you were lucky and you won the lottery, and you was. And you. And you got the permit to work in Israel, and you work. And you was. And you was. You were one of the workers that built the houses here. You got paid 450 shekels a day. Okay. Now, my math teacher died when I was 12, but I still know how to calculate with a calculator. 70,500. Each one of them makes 250 shekels, five days a week, four weeks a month, 12 months a year. Guys, check me. Half a billion dollars cash from Israel into Gaza by those workers. They are the ones who are behind the economy in Gaza. So more workers, more money. They can buy more Hamas in Egypt. Actually, Hamas and Abnah Sina company A guy named Al Arjani for a Bedouin from the northern tribes in Sinai. His partner is a Sisi son. And together with Hamas they decided that 65% of the goods to Gaza will be imported through Sinai into Gaza. Hamas tax those goods making an income. Write it down. $700 million a year. So $700 million a year only from the goods from Egypt. Half a billion from the workers who work in Israel. How much money Qatar sent to Gaza every month? Do you remember that? A lot. That's a good number. I prefer the exact number. $30 million a month. $30 million a month. Let's make it to 12 months. How much money is that? Okay, how many refugees are in Gaza? None. 1.2 million. And who feeds them?
[30:22] Russell: Israel.
[30:23] Col Yakubovitch: Huh?
[30:24] Russell: Israel.
[30:24] Col Yakubovitch: No, you guys. Oh yeah, it's Roma. $8. Okay, so Unra feeds them. UNRA provides them blankets and food and flour and water using your money. Okay. And the number of refugees in Gaza every year only grows. It means every year you pay more taxes. So UNRWA will be able to feed the refugees that are actually Hamas's responsibility. And what about WFO? WFP? They also feed 300,000 people. And what about JA, the Japanese that also implemented projects in Gaza? And what about jtz, the Germans that implemented sewage project in Gaza? Actually, if I would be Hamas, just imagine I'm a Hamas leader and I sit every November behind my desk and my plan is that the Palestinian Authority will pay for water, electricity, and that WFP will pay for 1,2,3,4, UNRWA will pay for 1,2, 3, 4. Qatar will pay for. So what is left for me as the sovereign entity to pay for the Gazans? Nothing. Nothing. So what should I do with my money? Spend it. Spend it in doing what? Whatever you want. Tunnels, Buying weapons, rockets. Money laundering. Money laundering, exactly. You know what? I'm not surprised that there was an interview in Lebanon. I have it, by the way, also recall Hamas leader, one of them, he was asked the following. I think you remember that, Jeff. And somebody asked him, saying, if I will quote exactly. And he told him, you built 500 kilometers of underground tunnels. Why couldn't you build shelters to the people of Gaza knowing that the air force will bomb? I saw that. And his answer was, we built the tunnels for our NUKDA terrorists, for our soldiers. Terrorists. Take it from me, the people of Gaza are not our responsibility. It's the UN's responsibility. Are you surprised now? I'm not surprised because this is actually their own plan. So if they want to lead a reconciliation with Fatah and Mahmoud Abbas told them a finger and not this one, there would be no reconciliation. Because one of their demands was that our Hamas employees will get paid by your money. Okay? The money that we collect, by the way, according to also the revenues. So he said no to that. And what will be their solution? So those people will be paid scam? No, they push them to work in unrwa. So actually UNRA pay the salaries to the officials that Hamas wanted, that the PA will pay for them, and the PA refused. So who are the ones who said yes to that? Unra, simple as it sounds, could UNRA say no to that? No, because there was nobody there to say no. Since Hamas occupation of the Gaza Strip in 2006, 2007, Surrey Jewish, all the foreigners left the Gaza Strip. So actually UNRA as a structure with all the officials, the teachers, the managers, the social workers, all of them are Palestinians, local Palestinians. So it's like, you know, putting a bowl with milk and asking the cat, don't drink, don't do their drinking. So what did you expect that they would do if there was nobody there to make sure that the money goes to the right purpose or to the right thing? So next time if somebody, un, unc, I don't know who somebody, wants to send and donate money to Gaza, no problem. You send your own people, boots on the ground, to make sure that the money that you send will go to the right purpose, that you actually had an intention. So they will get it. This is one of the conditions to the Gaza Day after reconstruction process. Remember my. I have it. You have it recorded, right? So in a year, two years, send it to Questions for now.
