Bonjour à tous, welcome back to the French Made Easy podcast. This is episode number 154, numero 154. Today, we are going back to our little French stories, with comprehension questions. So we are really practicing your overall understanding of French. Today's theme for the story is 'celebration'. 

So let me explain how that's going to work for those who are new here: 

I will read a mini story, in French, that I've divided into 5 parts. After each part, there are comprehension questions to test your understanding of the story. I will not read the questions on the podcast, to try to keep everything short and sweet, but you can get those questions, with their answers, directly on my website. The link is in the episode notes, on your podcast platform, and it’s free. 

This comprehension story is for beginners. But you’ll find a transcript, translations of the story in English, comprehension questions for each part, and answers to those questions on my website. This will be helpful for you if you want to cross-check your understanding or clarify certain points of the story. 

Again, all the links are in your podcast platform. It’s free. 

Now, I encourage you to listen to the story first, a few times if you need to, then try to answer the comprehension questions, before checking the translations and of course the answers to those questions. It might be a little challenging, depending on your beginner level, but I can assure you that this type of exercise will really help you improve your overall understanding of French. 

I will read each part of the story slowly, much slower than I'd usually speak in French, but if it's still not slow enough for you, you can actually choose the speed on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and I'm pretty sure you can do it on other podcast platforms as well, so you can just slow it down if you need.

Une Invitation de Mariage 🏰 

💌 Partie 1: Invitation et Préparatifs 

Laura reçoit une invitation pour le mariage de sa cousine. Quelques jours plus tard, elle organise son voyage en train. Le weekend suivant, elle choisit une jolie robe bleue pour l'occasion. Ensuite, elle achète un cadeau pour les mariés : un plaid en cachemire

🏰 Partie 2: Arrivée à la Cérémonie

 
Laura arrive au château dans le sud de la France, où se déroule le mariage. Le château a un grand jardin et un petit lac. Elle retrouve beaucoup de membres de sa famille et rencontre de nouvelles personnes.
 
💒 Partie 3: La Cérémonie

 
La cérémonie a lieu dans le jardin du château. Des chaises blanches sont alignées devant un autel décoré de fleurs. La cousine de Laura marche vers l'autel dans sa robe de mariée. Les mariés échangent leurs alliances et tout le monde applaudit.
 
🎊 Partie 4: Le Cocktail et le Dîner

 
Après la cérémonie, les invités vont sous un grand chapiteau pour le cocktail. Il y a de grandes tables avec beaucoup de petits fours et de boissons. Pendant le dîner, des membres de la famille font des discours. Certains rient, d'autres sont émus. Le dîner se termine avec le gâteau des mariés.

🎶 Partie 5: La Soirée Dansante

 
Après le dîner, la soirée dansante commence. Un DJ s'occupe de la musique pour la soirée. Laura s'amuse avec sa famille. Les invités dansent et profitent de la soirée. À la fin, ils écrivent leurs vœux pour les mariés sur des cartes et les placent dans une boîte souvenir.
