Bonjour à tous, welcome back to the French Made Easy podcast. This is episode number 165, numéro 165. Today is another little French story, with comprehension questions, so you can practice your overall understanding of French. And Today's theme is Christmas. And on that note, merry Christmas, joyeux noël to everyone who celebrates.
So let me explain how that's going to work for those who are new here. If youâre not new to the podcast, you can jump straight to the start of the story, Iâve added chapter markers with the timestamps.
Alright so, I will read a mini story, in French, that I've divided into 5 chapters. After each chapter, there are comprehension questions to test your understanding. I will not read the questions on the podcast, to try to keep everything short and sweet, but you can get those questions, with their answers, directly on my website. Plus, youâll find a transcript, translations of the story in English. This will be helpful for you if you want to cross-check your understanding or clarify certain points of the story. The link is in the episode notes, on your podcast platform, and itâs free.
Now, I encourage you to listen to the story first, a few times if you need to, then try to answer the comprehension questions, before checking the translations of the story. It might be a little challenging, depending on your beginner level, but this type of exercise will really help you improve your overall understanding of French.
Ok, so I will read each part of the story slowly, but if it's still not slow enough for you, you can choose the speed on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and I'm pretty sure you can do it on all other podcast platforms as well.
Are you ready? Let's do it. Iâll just read in full French now. Good luck.
Et voilĂ , that concludes todayâs story.
Remember, the comprehension questions, answers, transcript, and translations in English are all available on my website. The link is in the episode notes on your podcast platform. Itâs free.
Please try answering the questions first before checking the answers, it's a great exercise to improve your understanding of spoken French.
Thank you so much, merci beaucoup for joining me today. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays everyone.
Ă bientĂŽt. Bye.
