Bonjour everyone! Welcome back to the French Made Easy podcast! This is episode number 184, numéro 184.

Today, we’re going to practise your listening and writing skills with a beginner dictation themed around transportation.

Now… if you’re already familiar with how my dictations work on the podcast, feel free to use the time markers to skip straight to the dictation. But if this is your first time, let me quickly explain how it works.

For each dictation, you have a printable workbook available in two levels:

– Level 1, with some gaps to fill in (a bit easier),

– and Level 2, a full dictation with no gaps (a bit more challenging).

You’ll find the link to download your Dictation Workbook in the podcast notes. It includes:

• the full French text
• the English translation
• space to write down your answers as you listen

I’ll read the dictation three times:

1. The first time — just listen and get the context.
2. The second time — write down everything you hear.
3. The third time — check what you’ve written and fill in any missing words.

Clara est actuellement en vacances à Paris. Hier, elle a beaucoup marché pour découvrir la ville, et elle a aussi fait une balade en bateau sur la Seine. Ce matin, elle a pris le métro pour aller au musée du Louvre. Elle garde toujours une carte de transport dans son sac, avec un petit plan de la ville. Cet après-midi, elle louera un Vélib’ pour rentrer à l’hôtel. Demain, elle se rendra au château de Versailles en train, et pour son dernier jour, elle ira à l’aéroport en taxi. Son avion décollera à quinze heures.
