We wonder whether the energy from the No Kings protest will last.  We discuss the impact of the budget shutdown on the nation. We debate the destruction of the East Wing of the White House.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

Welcome to another episode of Inside Golden State Politics. I'm Bill Bosky, former city editor and columnist for the Los Angeles Times, and with me is our executive producer director, Nancy Bosky.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

and I am Sherry political analyst and self-styled, medium maven. Coming to you from bemoaning the fact that I didn't join an LA no Kings protest, although I did get a pretty good nationwide picture by flipping around the TV remote. I liked what I saw, including the frogs against fascism popping up everywhere, and the pink unicorn draping around the LA's Gloria Molina Grand Park. My favorite snarky sign. That's easy. Quote. The emperor has no clues. End quote, optics of Donald Trump playing golf, while millions of Americans just decried his spiteful and frightening meanness proved that the protest sign, quote. Free balls for Congress members who lost theirs. End quote was pretty good too. And oh, the vibe. Wow. The intensity and the creativity came right through TV screen Still. Overall, see little movement away from our path towards soulless authoritarianism. I'll ask one more time. What now? Over to you, bill?

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

Well, Sherry, you had us feeling real good and then real bad.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

Yeah. Well there's a lot of that going around, boy Ky.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

you know, I had a lot of thoughts about it. My first thought was, I, I was impressed by, you know, 7 million people by their account, assembled across the United states for this, March against king,

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

March against Trump.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

March against Trump, right? and that's a lot of people. So I, wondered, how. How long it would last. I mean, that spirit, that excitement and that spirit. How long will it last and what'll be its lasting implications? And, you know, I thought of a couple of mass movements that, I've been in the middle of, in the last couple years, where, it had lasting impact. One of them was COVID, I mean.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

What do you mean?

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

COVID brought out huge crops when I'll never forget, Nancy and I waiting in our cars in a long line at Dodger Stadium. waiting in, a long line to, get vaccinated. Many more were around us. And that had a, that had an impact too on the, on people's attitudes towards vaccinations. And then I remember one other thing was the, was the Occupy Wall Street. Remember that?

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

Well, yeah, as a matter of fact, one of my, classes in the communication of public policy had a project which was to produce a radio FU on. The occupied people who were on the, the lawn of LA City Hall. It was quite interesting, quite.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

Well, I was, there for, two days with the occupied, people and, Watched them talked, talked to them. they, they didn't like the press too much, but I had a smile and put on my charm and I interviewed a lot of them and I wondered how long would last and really is this, that many people. And, a veteran of protest marches, who's a friend of mine, art Goldberg, who goes back to the free speech movement. At Berkeley and is an activist lawyer in Los Angeles today, how long will it last? And you know, it seems disorganized and, they can't even get their, they can't get their food kitchen right. And he says, you don't understand what's happening. He says, it's right before your eyes, but you don't understand what's happening. Those people, a certain number of them. Are doing something today, and they will be involved and they will continue to be involved. He says those people, handing out food, in the makeshift kitchen, some of them will just stick around and be involved and.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

in what? You know, that's the question that I have. Can I, can I, because you made a very good point. I'd like to underscore and then I'll give it back to you. what I really worry about is that for a lot of these protesters, they'll having participated, they will feel better. They will feel. Fulfilled enough, by participating. And then we'll sign off. That's it. We done. That's the question you're asking and that's the question I have as to how long the momentum that appears to be, revved up by the protests will last.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

We dunno.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

lot about COVID these days, do we?

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

The point that, that was made to me by art was that, the people involved will, some of them at least, and we don't know how many. We'll continue to be involved one way or another. And so I think that if you did a demographic and deep study of the King demonstration, you'll find veterans of Occupy Wall Street. that's where they learned how to do it, and that's why we continued. I think what he was telling me. was, you know, don't be such a journalist, but, try to take a long range view of these things and, I I thought that was a good point.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

well, yes, except that I'm not so sure that that's the case. I honestly don't know, but I know I've, I've been talking. To some people about their in, involvement in the protests and the major responses. I feel so good. I, it was good that I did this. The question is how much more will they do? I mean, to protest is one thing. It's quite another to hang in there and do something to. Maybe tip the scales of power, if you will. I, I don't know. I, I really don't know. One positive thing is, at least from my perspective, no King's Day had. A much higher number of participants and a much higher number of protests than the first one in June. If there's another one, and it sure sounds like there will be, and that one shows an increase in participation. something we ought to look at very carefully. This was an incredibly well organized event or events, if you will. This was not one of the disorganized, you know, somebody puts on social media, let's all meet at the clock tower and scream. No, this, this was a really interesting and through protest.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

And that's, one reason why, it may have, more of an impact. it be more than a, one week wonder.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

Yeah I still think, I mean nothing or, well, very little has changed as a result. What does that mean? Does it mean anything? And if it doesn't, what is necessary to pull back from what we all can see is happening, which is a basically a march toward authoritarianism. As far as I can see. This worries me terribly.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

One thing that, should worry everybody is, this shutdown on the government's been continuing for some time. It's approaching a record, I guess. And,

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

Now, I guess the second longest, at least in modern history.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

why isn't, there are more pressure, For the government to get moving again to, for, for them to settle this thing.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

Well.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

why is it that you have all these government workers who are now lining up at, food banks to get food as, as their checks run out? And what about people who just think it's wrong? Why, why isn't there pressure from them?

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

Because I think it really hasn't hit home. It's becoming immediate. To those people who will be impacted because they're not getting, a full paycheck because they have been furloughed from their job because they're actually having problems putting food on their tables. Once that begins to build. I would expect that we'll hear a lot more. I mean, if you look at, at the response to COVID and everybody running to Dodger Stadium to get, inoculated, why there was real fear, was immediate. You saw people dying and you wanted to protect yourself. Just now. That kind of hurt, that kind of fear that you can't provide for your family, for God's sake is becoming visible, I think within, the electorate as well as within every, almost every American's life. I think that right now in this political environment, one, there are people who are so loyal to Trump. That it wouldn't matter. there are people who have not yet been touched by all of the horrors that might occur when there's no paycheck and no ability to pay bills. And three, the very poor and people of color who are first to be impacted are beginning to feel it, but they're democratic constituencies. What do the Republicans have to fear? What do the Republicans have to do and they are in charge? That's, it's complicated, but I think those are three of the basic fundamentals about the reaction or lack of reactions so far to what is happening. What do you think?

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

I think this may change, as the days pass and, the, The shutdown, finally reaches its record. If it does, you'll find, that attitudes change. you know, we're all in the media too, is really, bemused by Trump. they think he's a unbeatable winner on, on anything.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

a.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

On anything he tries. so, you don't see anything negative, you don't see a lot of stuff about, that the march may have amounted to nothing or, you don't see. real negative coverage of the desecration of the White House, to be

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

there's a lot of it on the, the cable news, I'll tell you that. But in both. both cases. But the question is who's watching? That's the question.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

Whoever watches. Watches those shows. one thing about Trump though, that he did do and he's getting a lot of credit and probably deserved credit, is the, agreement over, ending the hostilities in Gaza? I mean, don't you think that was a plus for Trump?

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

Did they end? I hadn't noticed there's a little bit of shooting still going on. It's the first step in at least a three step plan to end the hostilities in Gaza. And you know, I, I just wouldn't be surprised that. He is beginning to deflect the media's attention to what is going on. In gossip because it didn't, it, it didn't, he didn't solve war in, day one as he promised. He didn't solve the war when he got this pseudo agreement for, a stop in the shooting cease fire. So he doesn't want people, I think, to focus on it enough to understand we're a long, long way away from peace in. East and then there, there are those who are cynical enough and maybe I am one of them, that it was all a show, of his lobbying campaign to be awarded the Nobel priest fries. And now, don't have to do that for a while yet. Let's go on to something else.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

Well, I think the pressure, that he put on Netanyahu and on the right wing of the, Israeli government, was, was very effective. he called out Netanyahu. He forced him to quit shooting. he got him to silence the.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

I just don't even know that. How do you know that he forced him to quit shooting? Because he, he's shooting again,

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

Oh well, because.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

and, and then he, then he had, Trump had stepped away from, Ukraine having to seed. Land any territory, and now he's back saying, well, maybe you ought to give some of your territory to Putin and then he'll stop. Trump is all over the place. he can't decide

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

in a couple places.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

he wants to

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

he did have an important part in, in stopping the shooting. Now, as far as the Ukraine goes, he's definitely Putin's puppet. Trump is Putin's puppet. He does whatever, Putin wants. He dances to Putin's tune and that is very bad. I he berated once again, berated, the president of u the U Ukraine and the White House. And, he is

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

He's all over the place.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

right.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

You know, that's a behavioral problem. It's not only political, it's behavioral as far as I can tell. And that, and I, maybe that's his way of keeping people off balance. I don't know. it's dangerous. It's harmful.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

I don't think it's his way of keeping people off. Off balance. I think it shows he's a little off balance. He himself,

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

mutually exclusive my dear.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

I think that's what's happening. He, he bounces from one thing to another without any preparation or thought, or, plan ahead of him. he governs by impulse. Oh, let's tear down the White House, at least the East Wing, you know.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

Oh, don't go. Please don't go there. I am sick at the of the East wing of the White House being demolished. It's disgusting as far as I'm concerned. It, there's history there that will never get to see again. As I mentioned to you earlier, I'm just happy that I got to see it a long, long, long, long time ago. there are people who will never be able to see White House as it was. Now, that's not to say that there haven't been, several Remodelings and Rebuildings of the White House.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

And the British bird.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

by wing, an entire, the East Wing. And interestingly, what I find interesting is East Wing has long been the domain of the First Lady in her office. that interesting? Maybe just a coincidence, but I don't know. I mean, Wing remains, the Eastwood wing is gone. And I just think it's reprehensible. I watched the demolition and it was like almost like I, you will excuse this. It was almost like watching a rape. It was a rape

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

the whole thing about Washington and, and I used to work there and, I like the place, I think Washington is, infatuated with,

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

I don't think it has anything to do with that. You're, you're in favor of the demolition of the East Wing. Huh? And you like what Trump is doing?

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

1812.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

Oh, that I did say. Do you wanna know what's been going on? It's been going on since, the White House was built. The first construction was in 1792 and additions were made by and large. The British burned, we didn't. We didn't, the British burned it in 1814. I guess he burned it almost to the ground. but, you know, Thomas Jefferson added the colane. Andrew Jackson added then Morris Portico, Arthur actually did something. I, I didn't even know this. He called in Tiffany to decorate it. I wish there had been a Tiffany that. Trump could have called in because I don't like what he did to the decoration. And it was Teddy Roosevelt who constructed, not deconstructed, not tore down the west wing. He, of course, he did take out gardens and greenhouses to do it, but then again, remember Jackie Kennedy's Rose Garden. Anyway, Harry Truman, I guess, was the last president to really rip out the guts and do a, a heavy renovation, but he didn't destroy a piece of history, absolutely I mean, why are we arguing about that when there's, you know, we, we really ought to be taking a look at, at what went on, Trump did to take our attention away from the protest

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

one of the things that he's taking our attention away from is the, Dismantling of one of the most important laws on the books, one of the great accomplishments of our recent democracy, the Voting Rights Act.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

We don't know yet what the ruling of the court is gonna

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

I'm gonna say that that court will go with Trump. I have no, faith in that court, holding up the Voting Rights Act, defending it. In fact, the recent rulings touching on the Voting Rights Act have been just the opposite, and this is going to disenfranchise millions of people around the country.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

gonna argue about that. I mean, we, I, I'm not gonna say it's right to do that. Don't look at me for that.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

Well, it's gonna especially disenfranchise, the people that, Trump hates the most Black America and Latino America, those were the people that the Voting Rights Act were supposed to protect and will until it's finally thrown out by the, Supreme Court. that is something, real bad. You know, when you go to Washington and you say, God, that used to be the East Wing, but now it's a ballroom and all that, that's terrible, right? I'm not gonna defend it, but I'll tell you, the lasting harm being done to our country is the. The dismantling of the Voting Rights Act

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

it's one of several things right here, and interestingly, you could look at, at what he has done to the White House as kind of concrete manifestation of his tearing down of norms, tearing down of institutions there. I mean, wow. It's just incredible as far as I'm concerned. What. What he has been doing. And I do think that it's sort of all connected by not only the destruction of institutions and foundations written and otherwise, institutions and foundations. Concretely, it's a metaphor for what, what he's up doing for demo on democracy.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

I'm not gonna get lost on metaphors, and that's the trouble with the Democrats.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

What,

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

beautiful metaphors. I wanna, I concentrate,

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

I don't understand that.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

I concentrate on things that are tearing apart our democracy, for example, I'm, what? I'm, I'm much more angry about the, ice raids, all over the country. than I am about the White House. I I much more

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

you can be antsy about both. I'm,

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

that, huh?

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

I'm, I mean, you could be an antsy because what is going on physically a mirror of what is going on through his. Plans to destroy institutions and norms, but let's go on

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

Right.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

talk

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

I think,

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

something else.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

I think that's, I think that's a,

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

I mean, obviously you're not getting my point, but That's

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

I'm getting your point. It's just that I don't agree with it.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

fine. Whatever.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

thank you. i'm also worried about the dismantling of Obamacare, which is coming up, in the next couple of months of various votes that are too complicated to explain, but it will mean that millions will have their health insurance, premiums either taken away or increased. That's permanent harm. That's, that is, that's gonna hurt a lot of people. It's gonna leave a lot of people sick. Chronically ill, it's a very bad thing.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

I think it's one of the reason that, reasons that former President Obama has decided to become very active. Politically, he hasn't been until recently. He's out there campaigning in favor of Prop 50 California. He will be making campaign appearances for the Democratic candidates for governor in New Jersey and in Virginia. And I have got to think that, yeah, a lot of his motivation has to do again with the direction in which he sees this country heading. But it also, I think, has to do with the fact. That he is right in the bullseye of the target on healthcare. It's a personal and a political thing with Obama. It'll be interesting to see what, if anything comes from it. You know, there's so much happening in, in an off year election that's going to mean so much. this country and to the direction this country is going in, and you know, Obama and Obamacare are a major part of it.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

I'm glad that he roused himself, to, campaign, for, The redistricting proposition 50 in California and two, two Democratic candidates in the east, who are having unexpectedly tough races.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

One is, anyway, the jersey, which is kind of interesting. I'm watching that a bit more closely than most, simply because it's my home state and I'm for, for the life of me camp. Figure out while why the, the Trump endorsed Republican has moved so close, so tight Mikey Cheryl, the Democratic candidate. I hope it's not because she's a woman. I hope, I hope, I hope.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

We just don't know. That's the trouble with, doing journalism long range. I mean, if we were there in New Jersey, we could find out for ourselves what's, what's happening. And I'm sure there's more to the story than, than,

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

on, the Politico New Jersey, blog, which is pretty good. It's pretty good. Well, it's, it's tight. She is still ahead, but she was farther ahead at the beginning. What is happening? I, I have to tell you, I've been, I saw. An ad done by the Democrat and an ad done by the Republican and and energy and the implications of AI to all of that. that has become a major, major issue in the campaign. The Republican nominee is just looking straight at the camera and addressing that. It was a far more powerful ad than the one that I saw, done by, the Democratic candidate. And I just, you know, that, that tells something. Also, what does it mean if Trump has endorsed the Republican the Republicans moving closer and closer to the Democrat?

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

Well, if, span or the Democrat loses. That is gonna be a big, big, blow to, Democrats if the Democrats are looking from this election to the next year's off year elections for the house, seats,

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

elections.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

midterm elections. And if the Democrats bomb out in, in these coming elections. it's just another, defeat for the Democratic Party. They still haven't been able to get their message straight and, you know, it's easy to sit out here in the grandstands. And, second guess the, manager, you know, as he. Moves his team around. But, that's what pundits, like us do. we, we sit around and, second guess

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

Nah,

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

they still

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

that the definition of a political analyst is someone who goes in after the, the, the war and, Shoots the wounded on the battlefield, but we just, not everybody just sits around and second guesses come on.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

Well, somebody said that of another politician too. I think somebody said it of, Eric Garcetti. He, goes on the battle a after the battle's over, he goes in and shoots the wound and.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

the wound. That's the, that is the definition has always been my definition of a political analyst.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

Well, speaking of, women running for, office, what has, happened to Katie Porter?

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

Oh, good question. What do you think?

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

Well, Katie Porter is so far leading in the polls in the, race to, replace, Gavin Newsom as governor of California. And she's gotten some bad press in the last few days, and how bad this affects her campaign, is, is really, unclear. I mean,, she blew up at a reporter. God help her. What a terrible thing to do

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

It was on,

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

isn't

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

on video,

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

right.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

is a full record of what she did

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

Isn't there a law against blowing up at a reporter? She's apparently has a temper, and that may be,

so.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

that may be interfering with her. I would, Robin Ab Perry, in her column, praising Katie Porter, had this great, anecdote from, the divorce. Fight between Katie and her husband, where, he burst into the bathroom while she was brushing her teeth and banged on the light fixture or something, and flattening it. And, yelled at her, his explanation to, the judge was she was taking too long to brush her teeth. So this is a person who has temper problems and, that's important. You know, you have.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

and, and her opponents are using that. One of her opponents said that she actually thought she should leave the race because she did not have the temperament to deal with the job of governor. you know, again, there is. Speculation that a man had those problems, they wouldn't be those problems. But I think it's a little bit more than that. I mean, if, if you look at the videotapes and you read the pattern of her behavior, particularly toward her staff, I don't think that it's because she's a woman that she's not being given, Free pass. It's because there really is question of temperament involved, and then the question becomes, what do you want in a governor if you let you know. And in today's political environment, don't know that that's as big a problem as it might have been earlier. I mean, look what we got as president. He is probably not your most steady temperament politics today, but, you know, but it does. I have a feeling that may not be, she may not break out. To a long bleed, and she certainly won't now. but I haven't seen a, a poll taken post her, her two dust ups. One with the, Sacramento Reporter and one where she used the f word to, to a member of her staff who came into her shot when she was having an interview on video.

You know, I think, I think what's gonna happen is, the, Big shots, whoever they may be. Actually, they're the people with all the money, in the Democratic Party, are going to look around, and find someone who's a stronger candidate to, run, run for governor. Hm.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

I said, or try to find.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

Try to find somebody, somebody like, the, senator, Alex Padilla for in, for instance. Who's,

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

Caruso.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

Rick Caruso?

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

Steyer.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

Someone, someone who, someone who's, a, a better candidate, a stronger candidate. Hey, before we go, we can't forget, your favorite story, the bombing of the freeway by the, your

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

yeah.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

department.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

I don't know, bill, I mean, talking about what that might do to a candidate in terms of behavior. I mean, good god. I mean this is just, this is another way the Trump administration, rightly or wrongly, and I think it's very wrongly, is getting it. California and Gavin Newsom. It's, it's another chapter in the battle that Trump has with California and with California's governor, and it's totally irresponsible. Not to mention the fact that, The taxpayers paid for that, and the taxpayers of California for the closing of the freeway, which was done by the governor

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

You know that.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

as a safety measure.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

That was very dangerous. What happened? I mean, here's this

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

shoot

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

jewelry.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

over

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

Explode, explode.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

freeway.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

Yeah. And

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

I luckily for, luckily for Newsom, and that's a terrible thing to say. Luckily. A piece of shrapnel on the freeway, landed on a car in the

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

landed. Landed.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

credibility to his argument

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

Landed on the highway.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

not give credibility to the Trump administration.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

Landed on a highway patrol car that was standing guard over a off ramp. For the secretary of War to speed away. I I love it when you say his last name.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

Oh, you mean hedgehog? Well, I can't pronounce the real last name, so in order to even talk about him and I think it kind of works. Secretary Hedgehog.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

Okay, Sherry,

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

Well.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

we, we'll come back to this next week.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

we didn't resolve anything this week. There's just too much to chew on. Huh?

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

there's an awful lot. But I hope it, it gets straightened out a bit, as we move into next week. But, these, these problems that we talked about are pretty intractable and, you know, and Trump is Trump beyond description.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

Without question.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

beyond compare.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

And there's no trust. Nobody trusts nobody. And that's the biggest obstacle all, I think. And you can, you can see it in every action, nearly every action been going on these last few nine months. That's interesting. Nine months.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

seems longer. Okay. Talk to you next week.

squadcaster-1455_2_10-22-2025_150139

everybody. Cheers.

host-4ha0_2_10-22-2025_150140

Bye bye.
