Inside Golden State Politics
Political And Other Wars
We look at the Caifornia governor's race. We discuss whether the attacks on suspected drug boats constitute war crimes. We're appalled by the incredible rudeness President Trump displays toward women reporters.
welcome to another episode of Inside Golden State Politics. I'm Bill Bosky, former city editor and columnist for the Los Angeles Times, and with us right now is our producer director, Nancy Bosky.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:And I am Sherry Mech, Jeffy political analyst and self-styled, the medium maven coming to you from a week in Trytophan detox. Actually, it wasn't the Turkey that knocked me out. It was the three desserts I gobbled up. Nevertheless, I recovered only to find myself reliving Groundhogs Day. The movie, not February 2nd. Nothing much has changed in this hapless country since the Thanksgiving holiday, except for the intensity of the meanness and the obscenity of its politics and policy. Both continue to grow increasingly brutal. I wonder what this Christmas season will bring over to you. Bill
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:We did get a look, this week, through the, efforts of the Committee at the bedrooms in, Trump's Island on the Virgin Islands.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Motel six?
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:Motel six. No, you had another name you gave me earlier.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:I must have blocked it out. What did I say?
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:it was very funny. I wish I could remember it. Anyway, we got a look at these bedrooms and they really did look like a, the bedrooms in a Motel six it's, stick with, And you don't get plus quarters,
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Among other things. Yeah. And what was really laughable is that, the anchors and reporters who were giving us the story waxed, lyrical about the mansion, the island, sorry. Mm-hmm. Somebody isn't, staring objectively into the television.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:Well, you know, Sherry, what we have to talk about'cause it's very important and pretty much ignored. Is the race for Governor of California
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Yep.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:year?
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Yep. This is, it started finally, finally.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:started finally, and, there are, very many, many, people running, in the Democratic primary. There are, I don't know,
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:11 Democrats, and it's not a Democratic primary. Remember, it's an open primary, so all candidates
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:Right, right.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:the same.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:Why can't I remember these complex rules that are put together to keep people from the polls, not to bring them into the polls. I mean, it's really crazy. Anyway, there's all kind, of people running for governor when is that election that's in, It's in June, next June, the voters will have their choice. And the most interesting race so far is for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination. As you remember, the governor, is limited to two terms and meanwhile, he's busy running for president. So this is far from his mind. So there were all these candidates. there's, Katie Porter, who's a very well known member of Congress,
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Not now.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:has got good record knows a lot of stuff. she's tough and fiery, too tough for some, She got mad at one of her aides for, walking in front of the camera during a television appearance, lost her temper, and then lost her temper at another time. But sometimes, you know, maybe we wanna have a governor who loses his or her temper. That's not a bad thing. then the other person.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:governor, so totally rude and isn't. Very nice to not only the reporters who are interviewing her, but to her staff. But you don't, I mean, I don't ever judge a candidate on only one aspect of that candidate.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:No, not at all. at one aspect, nor, one day. There's an interesting candidate, who's the superintendent of public instruction, Tony Thurman, who's an African American guy, and who's all around the state. And his job is, nominal head of the state, school system for,
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:What does.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:and, of course there's, Rick Caruso who ran for. Mayor of Los Angeles and lost to Karen Bass, but, seems to be interested in trying something new, running for, governor. he's a very rich man,
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:I don't think he's declared yet, has he? He's still the, the speculation is still focusing on is he gonna run for governor or is he gonna run for LA Mayor in 2026? And we don't have an answer yet, as far as I know.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:I love to jump ahead.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Well, I gather that, yeah.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:I mean,
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Well, you know, we're, we're really, we don't know. I mean, this is sort of your, you're pinpointing the, the wide open nature, the wildness, except it's not very wild of this race, though. We don't know about Rick Caruso and, the attorney general. Rob Bonta had said, no, I'm not gonna run for governor. Although he's been a major force challenging Trump, not only in California, but nationwide with other ags. And then he sort of flirted with the possibility and now he's sort of backing off again, saying, right now my job is here at the moment, whatever at the moment means. So we're really still waiting to see what Bonta. And Caruso decide. And don't forget, filing doesn't end until March of next year, and we don't know what can transpire between then and now. What I found interesting about the list of candidates, and we don't have to go down it because it's like 20, 21%, 21, 20 1% candidates, depending on which list you look at. Lots of young people. Several of whom have never run for political office before, and some who really come from the world of social media podcasts the list sort of reflects the situation nationally within the Democratic party. The youngsters versus the establishment. It would be, I can't imagine that any of the Blist candidates totally unknown. There really aren't very many who are known at all, but I can't imagine, any of the B-list candidates making it to the top two. But they can sure play game in terms of the democrat. The stronger, the more visible Democrat who comes in. Probably first, and we may well see, one of the, the two strong Republicans, the Riverside County, sheriff Blanco, or Steve Hilton, who is the former, Fox commentator, come in second, or maybe even first, depending on the turnout. I think it'd be, then you'll have a Democrat versus Republican in the November election. We'll see. But the arithmetic shows me that it could well easily happen. There are only, there are 11 Democrats, as I counted seven Republicans. Two, no party preference and in one list. One libertarian in another list. The libertarian didn't even list it, but nonetheless, you can see that, that the Democrats far outnumber the rest of the field. I
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:I think thatWe won't really bethis won't really get going until maybe next month or so. But it's,
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:what?
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:moving along. It's moving along. Nobody wants to get left behind. I think.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:And, and star's already up on the airways with, I don't know,$15 million in ads. And earlier I saw an Antonio VI OSA ad and Antonio v. Reese's, obviously one of the. A-list candidates, the former assembly speaker, the former mayor of Los Angeles, who has run for governor before. So in this campaign has been going on for a while now. It's becoming visible and written about and I think, you know, they're outta the starting eight for real now.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:notlet's, let's move on because of the. presentJeffrey Epstein story. theymore, more material wasreleasedthis week by the House Committeeover Thepictures ofpictures Of Epstein's Island and the Virgin Islandsw was, is is nownow an internet staple.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Boring as they are and by the way, we refer to it as, the Epstein Island, and I think that's probably its official name, but I have a friend who has. A group of relatives who have lived and are living in the Virgin Islands, and she said forever for a very long time. All of the locals know it's Epstein's Island, but they call it Herbert Island. How's that for you? I'm not joking. I'm truly not joking.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:That's, that's what I wanted you to remember. I think that's perfect.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Okay.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:that. I love that. There's a terrible story among this. Treasure, trove of filth, that's coming out one way or another. It's a story of a 15-year-old girl who was, on that island and couldn't get off, and, she was being, abused and abused and abused. Epstein. Took her passport. That's what he did with those girls. He takes their passport. He holds some prisoner. May he rest in peace. He held them prisoner and he forced himself on her sexually. That's kidnapping. You know, you could charge him with kidnapping and attempted murder. She fled, she got out of Epstein Island. into the water and tried to swim away. Epstein and his, goons caught her, brought her back. Then they, that's when they took the passport and, and held her. That is kidnapping. And, that is why I think was so reluctant to have anything. out there about this little, not pleasure palace, this little torture chamber out on the Virgin Islands because he, he knew about it. He visited it, he was part of it. He just doesn't wanna have anything to do with it, and that
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:That's clear because he is done some really weird things to get our attention elsewhere, to get the attention of the media elsewhere. Finally, today with the release of those videos, the media is back looking. Epstein files. God knows what's gonna happen tomorrow. Maybe a ground war in Venezuela. I mean, this is not funny.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:No, not at all. He gets in, deeper and deeper and it's not going away, right.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Doesn't look like it. I mean the All of the, shall we say, evidence, all of the records sort of are dripping out. And I would expect, I, I kind of think that the Republicans right now are saying we have, we have, we can have everything exposed until after the midterms if we have them, the papers and the files exposed. At all. I mean, I don't know what the results of the Tuesday, special election in Tennessee, which had the Republicans retain the congressional district, but had their margin of error dramatically reduced from, I'm not the March margins bear, the margin of winning dramatically reduced from, the margin of winning that Trump had. In the presidential elections, you know, it's the Republicans won and now people are ringing their, their hands because A, the Democrats didn't win, but they came so very close and I would expect that the Republicans are very nervous about that, whether or not they should be. And we can talk about that because you know, nothing is ever permanent in politics, but.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:This was a situation where, the, political consultant, journalism, Reporter complex, tried to spin it in a way that made no sense to me. I mean, fact is the Democrats lost and,
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:The Democrat lost.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:they lost, they lost
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:One lost. It's, it's, it, it it's election
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:was an election.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:by election, and we ha we have to remember that. And not only is it election by election 1, 1, 1, it's, it's a district election. It's an off year election. A special election. I mean, if I were, a. The national chairman of the Republican Party i'd, I'd be a little nervous, but I also know that you can't declare victory almost a year and a half before the election. Now, in New Jersey, you probably could back when I was in New Jersey, but not now.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:I don't see where this is any, Happy moment. And this isn't a triumphant moment for the Democrats. I mean, they lost by nine points. The Republican, won.,
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:And it's a fairly healthy margin.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:s are like sports, you know, you win or you lose. And if. I don't wanna hear your excuse. You
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Remember is winning isn't everything, but losing isn't anything.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:Well, yeah,, except he believed the unru believed that winning is everything don't get in my way as I'm on my way to victory. Get out of the way
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:thank you Donald Trump
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:The Epstein thing is very serious.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:How so? How so?
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:Kidnapping, torture,
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:But he's dead. You know what I mean? He.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:No, but,
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:it,
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:Being, being a guest,
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:it.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:Being a guest in that compound, and being associated with the whole thing., I think it's a serious trouble for anyone who's, name comes out that they were associated, including, as I said, the president of the United States. The other crime that's floating around is the war crimes
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Oh my God. Ugh.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:In their effort to, blow up all of the, F small boats, from Venezuelan One, two survivors. They came back and shot up the last two survivors and they were dead. a lot of people think that's a war crime.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Well, I, I mean, let's, let's go all the way back. Let's just ask this. Why the hell did they need to have to. Bomb these boats. I mean, what do we have a Coast guard for? For God's sake, if you wanna find out, there are, are drugs on board. You don't use a drone, you don't use a missile. You stop the boat and you search it. I mean that, that's the first problem that leads to the debate over whether or not what happened. Was a war crime. And it's, that debate is specific to the first, mission In September when, the Department of Defense, whatever bombed the boat and everybody was supposed to have been killed, two of the people on the boat after the smoke cleared we're seeing hanging on the boat. And the argument is that, the Secretary of Defense, Pete Hedgehog,
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:Wouldn't he want you to call him Secretary of War?
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Oh, yes. He would in no way hang me by my fingernails and I won't call on the Secretary of War. And of course it's not the Department of War. It is the defense department, except I think a better term, better than either of them would be the offense department, the way they're behaving. But anyway, it is, so we have got that it started early and then they came back to kill, I gather the two. I don't even know what they were, men or women survivors. Thank you. and that's what began the horror of it. Quite frankly, it should have begun even earlier than that, but, Now there is the, the question is, is this war crime? And according to the, the rule, the laws of war, from what I have read it Sure. What really looks like it is what they are now calling the double tap, which is the second attack on that little boat. I don't see any reason morally or legally that you don't let this go unpunished,
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:You know, there was a, massacre, during the, Vietnam War in
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Ahuh.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:March 16th, 1968, a company of, soldiers, American soldiers went into a small village and, they had been engaged in battle to take this area. And they were, anyway, they went into this village and they killed, they killed, three to 400 people.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:they went back to the village,
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:That was called the Milah Massacre. A helicopter pilot saw what was taking place and he landed his helicopter down at the village and two troopers got out of the helicopter guns drawn told the, maring American soldiers to stop, or they'd, they'd shoot'em. And that ended it. And, it ended in a trial for the, commander of those that battalion William Calley. But that was certainly a legal precedent for, for what happened out in the, Caribbean. I mean, there were. Not the numbers two people were shot, murdered, killed no reason, no reason at all. is anyone gonna pay for this? We don't know. Trump is trying to, and, and his, secretary of War, what's his name? I love the way you say that. They're trying two or three defenses. His defense was, I was watching it, but then I had to go to a meeting and I,
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Oh,
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:didn't see it.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:but
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:didn't know it.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:he said he hadn't seen it prior to his saying, I don't know anything about this. I didn't see it. He flat out on Fox News said it was live and I watched it.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:Yeah, but he didn't watch it.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Or maybe he did. He doesn't want us to carry that thought Bill. This is, I mean, I, I'm getting the feeling I've had it before, but this is just not able to be escaped. I am having a feeling that we're walking through Alice in Wonderland. I mean, this is lunatic.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:Alice in Wonderland had the saving grace of, This
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Yeah, true. Very true. It was wacko, but it was humorous. This is not humorous, hardly
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:hedgehog served briefly or sometime in the National Guard,
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Drew
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:overseas.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:just like you.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:I was in the National Guard. My brother Guardsman, and the other guy Trump, he didn't serve at all
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Oh, he couldn't
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:bad
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:spur. Oh,
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:spurs,
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:yeah.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:And, so they're desperately trying to evade blame. I'm afraid what they wanna do pin the blame on, Admiral Mitchell, who was in command of this
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Admiral.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:Right?
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Well, it was, was it Admiral Bradley?
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:I, pardon me? It was Mitchell Bradley. They call him Mitch.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Well, they've already thrown him under the bus. It's go, I mean, he's outta it. No, gone. And they are, they're, you know, both Trump and Hedgehog are running as far away from this whole thing as they possibly can, which is really quite ironic because if they do and if they succeed right back at the Epstein files
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:what do you mean?
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:when we don't have this to talk about anymore, we will focus, the media will focus on what's going on in the Epstein files.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:For Trump, I think that's what he would like, he'd like the media to keep focusing in on the Epstein trials because, because it's something the public might get tired of. This is very serious here though. This, this, naval act, this action out in the, on the high seas is the shooting of these two guys and the sinking of how many boats? 20 boats have been sunk already. Quite a
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Over 20 and I think there have been like 40 deaths
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:and there's been, no declaration of war.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:and he's now threatening to go in on land and he can't do that. Well, the More Powers Act said, if you're going to do that, you've gotta. Let Congresses know what you're doing and you only have I, it's 30 days. The Congress at some point has to approve the fact that the president went in. This could be very interesting.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:You know in Vietnam, as, as the number of American troops escalated. You know, every month or so, president Lyndon Johnson got passed by Congress, something called the Gulf of Tonkin resolution.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Oh, I remember.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:He claimed, without any evidence. the way, no evidence at all that the, north Vietnamese navy tried to attack our, attacked our destroyers and, threatened them. With, with destruction and with that small thread., Which Congress approved, the Gulf of Tonkin resolution. With that small thread, the war was escalated tremendously and as the war escalated tremendously, something happened that I don't think anyone really expected.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Which was.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:turned against the war,
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Bingo.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:and
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:it. I mean, that's what has to happen. You're absolutely right. I Johnson looked at, the evening news watching Walter Cronkite and Walter Cronkite finally came out against the war and he said, if I have lost Walter Cronkite, I have lost America.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:That was it. That was true.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Yeah,
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:true. He did not run for reelection. and we ended up with Richard Nixon as president and Kissinger as his Secretary of State, and they prolonged the war. So I.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:well, what does that have to do with what Trump is going through now? Do you really?
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:it, I think you could end the story that when LBJ did not run it was
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Well,
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:it,
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:a lot of reasons.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:because
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:before we sign off, before we sign off, I wanna scream and yell about Donald Trump's treatment of female reporters. What the hell is going on and why aren't colleagues in the media coming? To the defense of these women. Quiet, picky. This is the president of the United States who didn't like a question that was asked by a woman reporter. She did very little to confront it. Not a word, not a word, as far as I can tell, was uttered by any of her colleagues in the media at the press gathering, either male or female.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:Fear, you and I have been talking about this. And I said, Sherry, why didn't one of the reporters, why didn't two or three of the reporters get up and
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Yeah.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:say, sir, I think you're out of line. That's all. Why wouldn't they say that? Now? Who knows what would've happened? I have a hunch of what would happen. That would be, it would become a big sensation. And, their boss, the editors would've, been upset by the reporter standing up like that, and the editors would've said to the reporter, I admire your courage. If you are a reporter and you have any experience at all, when your editor says he admires your courage, that means you're through.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Oh dear. It's, it's more than it. It it's more than that, first of all. It is, it is. That's exactly a very big part of it. We've seen it already with the settlements that he's orchestrated with major media, but it, it's also a reflection I think, of he hates women.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:Well, that is, that is the most important point of this is through his whole career, land developer presidency. As he goes on and on, he hates women he hates them in a, almost perverted way.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Not almost perverted. I vote for per perverted.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:You'd vote for that.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Yeah.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:Right there is something that just drives him crazy and, to extend it, he really hates, African American women,
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:The first woman that he really dressed down was April Ryan, who is an African American female reporter.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:right.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:she was number one very early in the first term.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:That's right.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:He hates the media. He's hated the media for a very long time and for even longer he has dis and hated females. So you got, you know, two for one and he goes nuts
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:yeah, he does. And, he won't stop. That's why there's something, weird about him
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Something
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:he gets into these things, and he really can't stop. I wish the Press Corps House correspondence. I wish they'd stand up and, say to him, sir, you are out of line.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:I agree.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:And, what would happen to them? Well, I don't know if they'd get fired, but they might be taken off. Probably be taken off the White House beat.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Well, they would've to surrender their fresh pass. Yes.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:Yeah, they'd be taken off that beat by their bosses who were, who never display that much courage.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Now, I would say by the White House.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:so what if they take'em off the beat? If I were there, so what if they took me off the White House beat I'd find something else to do, some other kind of reporting.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Okay.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:think being a White House reporter is somewhat overrated. The only good thing about being a White House reporter is it's something you can tell your mother about and she'll be real proud.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:Listen, there's one last thing to round this up, and I think it's a, a really Christ quite knitting it around. You have been talking about Trump and we have been talking about. The obstacles that he has, and it has a whole lot to do with the California Governor's race. I think, and we, we didn't mention Eric Swalwell when we were talking about it. Who is running on the. Point that he will not give in and he is, he will face down Donald Trump and if things continue as they are going down, I think that the challenge to Trump, the most effective candidate to challenge Trump will be the issue that has the major influence on voting behavior in California.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:And you think that Eric Swalwell the
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:I think he's, I think he
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:that message?
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:with a decent chance and he's running on that. I, as far as I can tell, that's his issue. He stands up to Trump and I don't think that's, lightweight at all. Everybody now loves Gavin. Why? He's been so effective in trolling and standing up to Donald Trump, and I think that's gonna be important to California's population in the midterm elections
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:sherry, I think that I agree with you, completely about, SW ball. I think, I think everything you say is right. His strong. Relentless opposition to Trump and so on. So I think you're right on that. Let's, talk about this and other things. maybe there'll be something else next week.
squadcaster-h785_2_12-03-2025_151159:I am sure if we're still, if the nation still stands, we'll have a lot to talk about next week. I have absolutely no doubt, my dear. Cheers everybody.
host-4ha0_2_12-03-2025_151159:Bye-bye. Cheers.
