Jim Weston
I manage statewide initiatives for pavement maintenance, bridge maintenance, roadway safety features, and delineation, working closely with WSDOT maintenance management as well as personnel across the state. With extensive expertise in pavement and pavement asset management, I resolve technical questions, act as the HQ Maintenance Division’s pavement specialist, and craft maintenance policies, procedures, and budgets. With HQ Design Office and regional staff collaboration, I provide guidance for installation and maintenance of roadside safety features, and influence training in this domain. For Maintenance and Operations, I also engage with the WSDOT Transportation System Management and Operations (TSMO) Program Plan, serving on the TSMO Work Zone Subcommittee and the WSDOT Work Zone Task Force, where I focus on integrating smart and connected technologies into Maintenance work zones.
