Carly Sutter is a PhD candidate in the Department of Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences at SUNY University at Albany and a research assistant at the Atmospheric Sciences Research Center. Her research focuses on using machine learning to predict weather-related road surface conditions, tying together atmospheric science, social science, and operations. She attained an M.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Missouri - Columbia, and has experience working in tech, actuarial sciences, and teaching.
