Jamie served for 8 years, joining Cambridge University Officers’ Training Corps (CUOTC) in 2000, and later commissioned from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS). After transferring, he was successful in the United Kingdom Special Forces (UKSF) selection process and joined 21 Special Air Service (SAS).
In this episode he talks about life growing up, travelling the world at the age of 19, joining CUOTC and his journey towards joining U.K. Special Forces; including P-Company and completing 2 Exercise Cambrian Patrols, reaching Bronze and Silver standards respectively.
Jamie also describes a life changing incident, when his light aircraft had an engine fire at 1000ft during a training flight. Plus he shares the events he’s been part of during recovery, and announces his first book being published.
