SPEAKER_00:

This is the Wait For It Podcast.

SPEAKER_04:

Hey everyone, welcome back to the Wait For It Podcast. I am your co-host, Phil Barrera, aka Phil the Filipino.

SPEAKER_02:

And I'm your other co-host, Mr. Eric Almighty, and we had a hell of a 2025 so far. It's almost over. So while we're looking ahead, we decided to bring back one of the biggest parts of our 2025 in our next guest, somebody who has been a big supporter of the show and allegedly has his own show. We're not really sure, Phil.

SPEAKER_04:

Well, it just so happens, Eric, that a uh uh a couple of guests came on his podcast, spiked interest uh because we are very sought-after uh dinner guests uh ourselves and business owners, uh as one might say. So very excited for the 2026 version of Foresight and Predictions, and who better to bring in than the host of The World is my burrito, Corey. Corey, super happy to have you here for again this edition of the episode. How are you? And I think we had you on like three times this year. This is your third different location uh as far as your backdrop.

SPEAKER_01:

So I don't know where you're recording tonight, uh, but it's I uh there is something disturbing about you remembering where I sit each time.

SPEAKER_02:

They're all very distinct though.

SPEAKER_04:

They are, yeah. It'd be something different if it was like a different like beige wall, but it's not every time.

SPEAKER_01:

Like slightly turned to the left. Um yeah, uh, so I am coming at you from my living room. This is my setup from last night I recorded with a friend. Uh I I literally I I I'm using bar stools to have to put all of my equipment on because I didn't want to move my portable setup last night to and like upset the dogs that one of them is very upsetable and anxious. Anyways, I'm great. It's great to be back. Uh third time this year is very fun. And I think, you know, including all the times that I've been mentioned, uh, that puts me at like probably six, you know, with the Nicholas Casparo episode and a couple of other things. It's like, yeah, yeah, I'm working on my my anchor being status, trying to maintain that. Um, so that's that is what I'm, you know, four starters. It's my main thing, 2026, remain anchor being status.

SPEAKER_04:

You and Ivan are battling it out, man. We really need to put like a pin, like a pinwall, you know, where with Corey in the middle and Ivan in the middle, and see how many people we've met through that person. So it's between you and Ivan. It is really close. We should get both of them on, oh, what did I miss, Eric, and see like who knows who.

SPEAKER_02:

Like just start like a whole like tree, like a like a family tree.

SPEAKER_04:

Right, exactly. And then see where that's right.

SPEAKER_01:

I would love to see if there's yeah, yeah, interconnectivity overlapping. Like, wait, no, I know that guy too. Hey.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, but uh Super again, really excited to have you here. Uh, if for those of you that are maybe new to the podcast and you've never listened to a Foresighted Predictions episode, essentially what we do is we talk about what we are excited to watch, read, play, see in the upcoming year. This is the earliest we've ever done this episode. Typically, we do it in January, but we had some uh uh episodes to play around with and some dates, so we put it here in December to give you a little bit of a preview, and we're gonna talk about all things pop culture. So we're gonna cover TV and anime, movies, video games, and then some miscellaneous stuff, maybe some plans we're looking forward to in the new year. But before we do that, Corey, we're coming fresh off of our uh 2025 end of year awards. You didn't get a chance to submit a clip for every single category like you did in 2024. So I want to know, uh, because I know you were on a vac a little vacation there, so want to know, are there any of those topics uh uh that you wanted to throw your pick into the hat for? Uh of course the uh categories were best picture, best animated picture, best TV show, game of the year, anime of the year, and then song and artist of the year. Do you have any shout-outs that you want to give for your choices for the best of 2025?

SPEAKER_01:

Oh man. Um, so uh the the one that comes to mind, uh anime of the year was an easy one for me. There's a uh there was a show called City, the Animation. Um the author, oh my god, since I'm sitting next to my bookshelf, um, but Keichi Arawi did Nichijo, which is one of my favorite animes of all time. Uh it's a great manga, but it is insanely better animated because it's so mobile on paper that it needs the screen to really come to life. Um so when I saw the preview for that, I got really hype. It released and it was uh like instantly just amazing. Uh it's it's crazy the studio that works on that, um, what they do with uh digital animation, because I feel like a lot of studios are kind of either lazy or just very cut and paced in the way they still treat digital animation the same way that they always treated like cell animation. And uh I feel like the studio that works on this stuff, particularly City of the Animation, really stirs things up um in a way that's sort of difficult to explain. You just have to watch it, but that was great, absolutely loved it. That would be my uh you know, anime of the year, and I do have to get a shout-out to my honorable mention, which was uh Ururi Rock's Introduction to Mineralogy, was a super fucking cute slice of life anime where this little girl uh starts to discover that maybe she's really interested in rocks. She's like uh, I don't know, like sixth grader or something, and she meets a girl in college while out, you know. She's like, I don't know what I want to do with life. All the other kids know what they want to do. Uh so that was adorable as shit, and neither of the series I mentioned are getting a second season. They are ending at one. So I'm super sad going into 2026 for that. Um Best Picture.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, what did you go see at your what did you go see at Sunray, you dick.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, at Sun Ray, oh man. You know, all the movies I saw. Uh I I would probably say uh I really did like Frankenstein. Uh Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein was good. It is a lot truer to the original than most Frankenstein films are. Um, but you still have that Guillermo del Toro charm, uh, you know, stacked cast. Yeah, that was a really fun watch. A solid, what like two, two and a half hours? Um, and whatever it was, it did not feel like it. Uh it just kind of began and ended, and it was a whirlwind of a ride. Um great practical effects. I that I feel like has to be thrown out because I'm always a practical effects guy. Um yeah, like people are getting thrown around and they're doing the classic thing of putting them on a pulley and just yanking them back out of screen uh instead of doing digital stuff. So the whole thing just looked amazing too. Including, did y'all see the film?

SPEAKER_04:

I have not. Um, you know how I am with uh bone breaking stuff, so Falyn told me not to watch it.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, that's unfortunate. I wanted to check it out, but I heard a lot of mixed stuff, and I just feel like anytime I've watched a Guilmore uh Guillermo del Toro movie, I don't always vibe with it. So like I'm already cautious going into it.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, it's uh I guess it depends on yeah, it it really depends on if you like his style because it uh it's not quite like the shape of water, but you can feel the Guillermo del Toro in it. Um but there is a a ship in it, the ship that is sailing the Arctic, and uh that is a real ship, and in the part of the movie where Frankenstein rocks it um by himself, he is actually doing that because they have it sitting on a like pivot point. It was made to do that, so it is just super cool to see the practical effects. So, yeah, I would say, you know, if only by virtue of it being entirely practical effects, uh, story aside, like that is still my favorite movie of the year.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, a City of City of the Animation I saw on multiple like top ten anime lists for sure. So uh I'm definitely glad to hear that it was worthy of that praise. Uh Ruury Rocks, another uh just like the Santa pick, Eric from the other day, another anime I had never heard of. Uh so uh yeah, that's the beauty of it, is there's just something for everybody. Like I said, with the Santa anime, like what do you mean there's a Santa Claus anime? Like, what do you mean there's an anime about a high schooler that discovers she likes rocks? Like, what are you talking? Not Bochi the Rock, this is Ruby Rocks, this is something different. So, yeah, uh, but um no, solid choices there again. Heard good things about Frankenstein. I think my sister enjoyed it as well. Um, but yeah, uh good picks there for the uh as we wrap up awards season. And we uh so now everybody can um you know refer back to the podcast and see what the favorites are heading into uh you know Golden Globes, Oscars, all that kind of stuff. But uh let's jump into the episode here, folks. Um a little bit of a late reminder, but if you're brand new to the podcast or if you need a uh or if you need a refresher as to where to find all of our content as well as well as where to find Corey's content, make sure you stick around at the very end and we will tell you where you can find all of that. But let's start off with TV shows and anime releasing in 2026 that we are looking forward to. Uh, we'll put those two things together as far as what we are anticipating. And we kind of had this conversation before we started. TV is is an interesting medium because there are shows that like we have already kind of established that we're already fans of. They're like, oh, is this returning in 2026? Like last year, you know, it was Severance and Um couple uh Peacemaker season two. So shows that were returning, and then there were shows that kind of like came out of nowhere that we weren't really sure about. Um, the studio, of course, with Apple TV, like I was very excited about that. Uh The Pit, which we'll be covering in uh January as far as 2026 goes. But it's hard to find newer TV shows, which is why the shows that like I have written down, I'll go ahead and get us started, um, is gonna be uh returning in January, is Shrinking, season three, Apple TV. Uh last season is the season two of Shrinking destroyed me every single episode. It's one of the best shows on TV. Uh they're winning awards for reason. Uh Harrison Ford is outstanding on it. Jason Siegel is one of my favorite actors. The cast all around has just been knocking it out of the park. So I'm very excited to see that uh season three of Shrinking will be coming out very, very soon. Uh, Eric, I know as far as the Apple TV shows, you got the studio in your queue. There are some other shows that like I do go to batch for. I do believe Shrinking has been on that list of to-do. So with season three on the horizon, uh, you know, do you see yourself binging it at some point in 2026?

SPEAKER_02:

I mean, that's the goal. I think the thing about TV in particular, and maybe anime you can even kind of throw in there this whole category is that there are a lot of recurring seasons that like make this a good time to catch up, and that's why we ended up uh, you know, doing uh why we're gonna end up doing the pit for January. And I can't wait to get your opinion on it, and then to start season two pretty much in the same month that that that episode releases. It gives us that opportunity. Will I do it? I'm hopeful, but it's just again, there's so many that fall under that umbrella. I gotta pick and choose, and some are gonna get left on the curb.

unknown:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04:

What about you, Corey? Uh, what what Apple TV, if any, have you dove into? And do you know anything about shrinking as far as Jason Siegel and and Harrison Ford's project, as well as um uh Brett Goldstein, who is from Ted Lasso, he is also involved in this project as well.

SPEAKER_01:

So there is only one series on Apple that I have ever seen. And I know what happens. Look, yeah, it is it is so easy to guess. Um, but I so I haven't seen like Ted Lasso shrinking. Uh I am not, I don't know, shrinking kind of sounds familiar, but also kind of not, so I wonder if I saw something in passing. Um, but Apple TV is one of those uh I it's I feel like it's the underdog. Um it's it's kind of a weird underdog because it's Apple's obviously not small, it's just you don't hear Apple TV mentioned all that often, but I feel like all the shows that everyone talks about, um not in a hateful way, are coming off of Apple TV. Uh I feel like Netflix could probably put out a lot better quality content. Most of the streaming services could do better, but it seems like Apple kind of has everything.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, well, you know, speaking of that series that you have seen, just to kind of stick with Apple TV, uh, that show is returning in February, which is Monarch Legacy of Monsters. A show Eric has seen. He wasn't happy about seeing it, but the rest of us uh are very excited as far as you, myself, uh our buddy Dylan, and then also Falyn, who did watch the movie as well. Very excited after uh a couple of years away uh to see that show return again, Apple TV. Um, but yeah, again, as far as the other shows that like uh all the shows that I have like kind of written down outside of anime are all shows that are like returning, you know, season four of Invincible, um, X-Men 97, hopefully coming out next year. But those are TV shows that like I've written down, but haven't necessarily again, I'm not sure what to look forward to as far as what's brand new. I need to look at the Apple TV docket, that's usually a good place for me to start. Uh and yeah, that there are definitely a lot of shows on there, Corey, I think you would certainly enjoy just based off of your taste. Uh, but yeah, what what are some things that maybe you've jotted down? Again, we're all kind of in the same boat with TV. Is it more so returning series, or is there anything new that caught your eye?

SPEAKER_01:

So let's see, I I think for new series if if the one like new live-action thing that I have is uh Agatha Christie's Seven Dials on Netflix, it's supposed to be a mini-series. Um, I grew up watching uh like we'd go to the library and rent VHS's of Agatha Christie stories and Sherlock Holmes. Um, so those sit in a very like special place for me. So to see that that's coming out's really interesting, and I think because it's a mini-series and not a film or a full series is promising. I kind of feel like the world needs more mini-series um instead of things that are just getting either smushed together too much as a movie or way over expounded as a full-on series. Um, but that that would be probably the only thing that is uh, well, live action new. Uh anime, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Steel Ball Run. Um, very excited about that. It's one of those like keeping an eye on Twitter and every other social media outlet for the announcements on that. So I'm excited to see what the next part holds.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, the thing with Netflix is like, I mean, obviously they pump out so much content, but you know, and I get the Christy uh short uh short series would uh uh sounds great looking at the uh the stills from the show uh right now. So yeah, um, you know, definitely we need more uh content to pay uh to make it worth the the amount that I'm paying for when it comes to Netflix. So that would certainly uh be nice there. But Erica, you know, Corey kind of set you up for uh you know a nice uh segue there as far as uh you know some choices that you may have, of course, if you want to throw some anime picks in here as well. But did you find anything new that maybe caught your eye? Or again, is it more so returning series, if any, uh outside of the pit, like we already kind of mentioned?

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, so I mean the posters as of this episode releasing the posters recently just came out for Spider-Man Noir, which is heavily rumored to be in 2026. If that happens, I mean listen, listen. I I, when it comes to especially that property, I am not holding my breath. However, I am excited. I mean, Nicolas Cage, come on now, you gotta be excited about that. Something I am somewhat excited for, but only because of the character specifically, is Star Wars Maul Shadow Lord, which is going to be a series about Darthmall. Darth Maul's cool as shit, but what do you think it's probably gonna be, right? Like if I didn't watch Rebels, I didn't watch Clone Wars, we talked about this the other day. Like, I feel very left out of Star Wars because I never took that turn into those series, and I just don't have the desire, willpower, andor time to do it. So I'm gonna enjoy that one from afar. I hope it turns out really good. But those are probably the biggest ones, Phil. We talked about things that we could get into now to bring us, you know, uh, you know, current with some big pop culture stuff. Blade Runner 2099. We have not watched the first Blade Runner or 2049. Both of those are late to the party contenders. This show, rumored for 2026. Do we do it? Do we actually watch it? Do we like it? Do we then watch the show? That's a question for sure. Uh, but before I go through the rest of my list, those were just a couple of the non-sequels or uh seek uh sequel seasons that I had on my list on the TV side of things. And honestly, you already know on the anime side of things it's gonna all be, you know, subsequent seasons.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, and actually I did write down a couple of newer things that I had not uh that I had only really heard of here in in um go doing research for this episode to see if maybe Corey has heard of them, and uh and also uh an interesting trend we're seeing when it comes to anime uh as well. Um, so I'll I'll I'll throw those out uh here as far as um returning seasons that are rumored to be happening. Uh there are a couple, one being solo leveling as possibly either a movie or season three. With that popularity of that show, I definitely could see them going the movie route with the with the year that Demon Slayer and Chainsaw Man had and JJK is about to have as well. Um and then uh Bochi the Rock has been floating uh floating out there. Uh it's funny that we just we we we just mentioned uh the the other anime that Corey had talked about in 2025, because uh, you know, Bochi, uh I didn't I I kind of expected that to just kind of end where it was. So the fact that there are uh rumors out there that that story could continue, I'd definitely jump in and and see more from that character. Did you watch any Bochi in 2023, Corey?

SPEAKER_01:

I did not uh Bochi, I'm trying to think. This is uh I am definitely thinking of not this. I don't know about this. I might have to check it out.

SPEAKER_04:

Which is so interesting too because like remember back in 2023, Eric, like people were giving it anime of the year. Um, and it's really good. It's really, really good. But I was like, oh a lot of good stuff came out when this is the best anime of the year. I don't know about that, but it was still really, really great slice of life, though.

SPEAKER_02:

Like great slice of slice of life show. Like, I really enjoyed it, like it was a good time, but yeah, no, I don't know about Anime of the year. I'm glad it's getting a second season, though.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, for sure. Well, Eric, what are some of those before I go over mine and again ask you, uh, ask you guys some questions? What are some of the anime that you have pegged? And is there anything new on that list? Uh, what what is going to be, you know, this year's breakout hit? Uh, if if you've maybe identified that or or tried to.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, so it's hard to tell what's actually gonna come out this next year in anime that's going to really make a splash, um, you know, as a original anime or a first season anime. A lot of these are gonna be sequel anime seasons. So free ren is coming back. It's a show I've been wanting to jump into because everybody adores that show. So season two is returning. You mentioned jujutsu Kaisen, season three likely happening with the colouring game uh movie that's currently gonna be going on in theater, so I think that's gonna be a great time. Black Clover is making its return after a very long hiatus, and Hell's Paradise season two is also making its way into the scene. I think all of those are gonna be very, very hype. What I'm curious about is this Ghost in the Shell, I guess, remake. I'm not really sure. It's the studio behind Dondadon that's doing it. I have not gotten into that series. I know it's again, if you're a big anime fan, big anime head back back then when anime wasn't cool. You probably know about this and you're yelling at me, you know, through your screen. But as far as I'm concerned, would I be interested in seeing that? Possibly. It piqued my interest. So those were the things in my research that really stood out to me that are very likely, if not close to likely, where everything else I could talk about is like I feel like we might be talking about it on the next Foresight episode when everything's said and done.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, what's your read on that Ghost in the Shell project, Corey? You know anything about that?

SPEAKER_01:

I do not. It doesn't look like there's I'd forgotten that it had been announced um because all they did was release the art. Uh so yeah, I I don't know. I I will watch it. I've seen Yeah, I'm pretty sure I've seen everything that is Ghost in the Shell at this point. Um, because there's the two films, uh Standalone Complex, and there was the 3D series. Um it's Ghosts in the Shell can be kind of rough. Uh it's I don't know. It's that one, I I'm not against people being like, yeah, it's not for me. Uh because it's weird. And all of the additional content is kind of I don't know, fun stories. Like Standalone Complex kind of existed to tell more of the episodic stories from the original manga, because the manga is telling one very convoluted story, and so the m the films like stripped most of that out and had one coherent thought or two coherent thoughts. Uh, and then Standalone Complex kind of existed to tell some more of those other tiny pieces that didn't really fit in the manga. Um, you know, it might it it might be sacrilegious, but like the manga's kind of not that great if you're going for a linear story. Um so I'm excited about that. Uh Eric, you already mentioned JJK and Freerin. Um weirdly enough, I think I'm more excited for Freerin. Uh I really enjoy JJK, but Freerin, I don't know. It's I feel like Freerin has a lot more to offer because it's a slice of life that starts getting real weird towards the end, really starts ramping up in the last few episodes. Um, so I want to see how that evolves and if they are able to maintain uh the story of an elf who is just starting to realize the importance of you know life and having friends after watching everyone she knows die. Um because she went on like a vacation for 50 years and didn't realize that humans don't live that long, or didn't really keep it in mind.

SPEAKER_04:

So yeah, so um and uh like like you guys have highlighted here, a couple returning series that people are gonna be very, very excited for. I was seeing a a trend here before we transition into film and gaming uh that I want to talk to you guys about and and I'll throw it out to whoever wants to answer it first, because of, of course, with the with the popularity of of um solo leveling, which is excellent. There were two manwah that that were on a couple of different lists that I I came uh came across. The first one um is called, I want to make sure I pronounce it correctly, uh, Elexeed. It is a um manwa um star. The the name or the the main character is Jiwoo, a uh kind-hearted high schooler who discovers he has super speed and teams up with a powerful grumpy ability user named Caden, who's trapped inside the body of a cat. An anime adaptation has been officially announced for 2026, and it is on a bunch of people's lists as far as something they're looking forward to, along with another man nois uh com called Amnition's Reader's Viewpoint. These are two Manois again that are very that came up on a couple of different lists that um people are very, very excited for that should release in 2026. Is this is this um has this always been the norm as far as manwah getting some very like highly anticipated anime? I know a lot of them are web tunes and then get turned into anime. So, like, what is is this going to be a trend because of what happened with solo leveling, or am I just like late to the party?

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, I mean, as far as I'm concerned, I mean this has been kind of moving in this direction for a while. Like, I remember when Tower of God came out and was like really, really heavily advertised on Crunchyroll, and then solo leveling was kind of the next big one that I noticed uh on my end. So, like, I don't know. I I mean I feel like this is starting to become the norm. Uh, Corey, is that is that what you've seen on your end? Have you been keeping up with this at all?

SPEAKER_01:

Only kind of, but we are talking about Manhwa, and they are being animated by Japanese studios, so we're seeing a process of something that is getting popular, something from Korea getting popular in Japan enough to the point that Japan is like, okay, well, we should capitalize on this. Um so yeah, no, I mean it seems to be the norm. I I feel like uh things coming out of like even you know webtoons in particular, uh One Punch Man. Like very old anime at this point, webtoon that was very shittily drawn. And uh, hey, the first season is great if you sat through every single episode of Dragon Ball Z not a Toe.

SPEAKER_02:

I was like, allegedly, yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

Allegedly. It's yeah, well, you were I think you were the person I talked to uh where because you hadn't seen anything and I asked your opinion, and it's like, wow, I can't imagine not having grown up watching Shonen and then watch One Punch Man and be like, yeah, this fucking sucks, even though it's an indictment of everything that I grew up watching, which is why it's great.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, I mean I like I I get the satire of it all, and like the the the contradiction to the genre, like I get all that. I I've only seen the first like three episodes, and I just wasn't interested enough to continue it. Um, and I don't know, it feels like the way people talk about one punch man is the way they talk about solo leveling now, and I feel like I don't know, they're just they're getting their punishment, they're getting their comeuppance with uh season three of one one punch man.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, I I didn't bother with two because everything I wanted was in season one, the the indictment of the Shonen genre. It's like, yeah, I don't I don't this wasn't about a story, this is about flicking off a whole generation of manga creators.

SPEAKER_04:

I'll say this too. Like, what Corey just said is like most of what I hear from fans of One Punch Man. They're like, yeah, I didn't watch season two, but season one's really good. And then of course everybody knows what's going on now, what's with with with season three. I haven't met like a lot of elder like One Punch Man fans that like stuck with it.

SPEAKER_02:

I don't know, but you know, that is what it's um I did have a couple other one just regular television shows that I wanted to throw out there um in case you guys had your eyes on them. I know we're getting ready to transition, um, but I did want to bring up Fallout Season 2, which is technically coming out December. It's coming out like when this episode releases. First episode will be out, but it's I count that as a 2026 show. If if only two of your episodes are coming out this year, you're a 2026 show. So I'm excited about that. We talked about the pit. Uh One Piece season two had to bring it in there. I know Phil tried to cut me off before I could. All right, so let's go ahead and get over to Corey. Hold on, Phil. Hold on, not done. Uh, but yeah, that's uh that's something I gotta mention for sure. A couple of ones I wanted to throw out there. I don't know if anybody cares about them and or if they're gonna happen. But these were ones that I was curious if there were any thoughts. Is the the Malcolm in the Middle reboot or continuance, I guess you would say. There is a Scrubs revival, and there is an alleged new season for shows like Shogun for All Mankind and Euphoria. Bunch of big pop culture topics there, big smorgaseboard of stuff in pop culture that I'm not familiar with very much, uh, other than Malcolm in the Middle. Uh, Phil, throwing it to you first. Any of those kind of catching your eye, or what do you think?

SPEAKER_04:

So I will I will give Malcolm in the Middle and Scrubs a chance. Uh you know, Scrubs was my pandemic show. Watch the whole thing, it was outstanding, minus the last season, which doesn't count. But the the act I would watch it. Everybody is returning. I I will check it out. I think if they if they infuse it with the right amount of heart, then it could work pretty well, much better than like an office spin-off or some other shows that have returned. And same thing with Malpa in the middle. I think because of the people involved, I have a lot of trust in them and that cast. Um, so yeah, for all mankind, I definitely need to catch up. Uh, love that show. Um, it it's one of those that I think you would also enjoy as well. And um, the only thing I have to say about Euphoria is like that guy, whoever is in charge of that show needs to go to jail. Like, who some of the stuff and some of the storylines that you're already hearing about the people involved, like we're gonna find out stuff about that set over the next few years, and we're gonna be like, yeah, that's not surprising.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, pretty crazy stuff. Uh, Corey, anything at all uh that you wanted to throw out there uh in addition to the ones I had.

SPEAKER_01:

Uh I'll I'll second One Piece live action kind of. Alright, so let's go ahead.

SPEAKER_03:

Stop.

SPEAKER_01:

Uh the like that was my foray into One Piece. I mean, I saw the four kids, you know, when it was first aired. I was like, this is not for me. Um so the the live action was good. I I've heard I regardless of what anyone says, like Brent and I really enjoyed it. Um, it was a very fun season, so knowing nothing about it, like I don't know how much they've screwed up already, but it it was enjoyable. I love the cast, so that I'm looking forward to uh you're re-reminding me that I really need to watch Shogun because I heard a lot of good about it, and if it's returning, I should probably watch the first season. Um, the rest, I never watched Malcolm in the Middle. I think I saw an episode, you know, growing up, and it was just not for me. Um but if we're about to move on, I do have one other that I neglected to mention earlier. Uh it hasn't officially been announced, but they are already working on it. There is an anime coming out called Gaia Tima the Gigantis. It is, I've been reading the manga um very much uh dedicated to like 60s, 70s Tokasatsu, more like 70s because of the violence. And it is there's so much attention to detail for the balance of like goofiness and violence. Um, but Gayatima, the main creature, has these like six or seven dots in its throat, and there's no explanation for it. There's no attention ever drawn to it in the manga, but it is the like breathing or sight holes for what would be the suit actor if it were live action. Um, so there's something about it that is done very fun in a way where like there's a level of seriousness, but also this level of fun where like, yeah, this could you could just be watching or reading a uh you know Ultraman series from the perspective of people who are living in this fictional universe. Um, so yeah, that's it's been a very fun read so far if you're into like Ultraman Godzilla, um, and it is very 70s because that's when violence started. He will rip the jaw off of something. Uh, and it's like, oh, cool, yeah, we're getting real stuff, not necessarily for kids. So yeah, big one that I'm looking out for it. Again, not been announced, but if they're already working on it, I don't see why they wouldn't.

SPEAKER_02:

Uh Phil, what what was the time on that one? Ultraman reference, take a shot. Take a shot. We we got it.

SPEAKER_04:

That's Gory's um Puss Boost The Last Wish. Yeah. Or um Pretty Woman.

SPEAKER_02:

Or my pretty woman. That's right. That's crazy. That's crazy that that's my thing.

SPEAKER_04:

All right. Well, yeah, let's move into film. So a bunch of movies releasing in 2026. Uh, so uh, Eric, let's throw it to you first. Uh, what are some that you have circled? Uh, 2026 is shaping up to be a pretty crazy year. Even if some of these movies get moved into like 2027, there is still like a huge, huge list of films, and I have a feeling of where you're gonna start off with when it comes to 2026 films.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, I'm gonna take a couple of them. I'm not gonna take all of them. I know there's a couple big ones that I know you predominantly wanna talk about. So let me just make sure that I I highlight those on my end. So I don't, I don't, I don't take your uh, you know, take your shine, steal your thunder. For me, I'm gonna talk about obviously some of the stuff in superhero world and big pop culture movies that we've watched and we've expressed on the podcast. Some of those films are like Spider-Man Brand New Day and Supergirl. I think those are two of the bigger, you know, superhero movies that isn't Avengers Doomsday. So those are obviously all ones that we're all gonna be looking forward to. On the flip side, though, big films that I'm excited about, one for sure probably coming out, the other one, maybe, is The Odyssey and Dune Messiah. Obviously, part three to the Dune series. I am locked the fuck in for both of those, and probably an IMAX if I can get to an IMAX theater. But if I can't, the biggest screen I could possibly get to, I am seated day one for those. Outside of that, I mean you've got your Disney slop, your Moana, your Toy Story 5, Mandalorian, and Grogu. I have a child. I am required. That is required viewing, not because I want to go. Not excited, not excited, but I will see them. And then finally, on I'm not normally the horror guy, but Terrifier 4 may possibly turn its head around at the end of the year. If it does happen to sneak in, I will check it out. A series that I never thought I'd find any enjoyment in. And honestly, something's wrong with me for finding enjoyment, but I do and I would watch it. So that's my rundown, at least for now. I got a couple other honorable mentions, but those are the big ones I've got my eye on for those reasons.

SPEAKER_04:

Eric, why when you're talking about Disney, why didn't you bring up Hoppers?

SPEAKER_02:

I was gonna bring up that and then Hexed uh separately because is Hexed?

SPEAKER_04:

Which one is Hexed?

SPEAKER_02:

Is that the one Hexes? I think this is a this is one that may not make it into the end of the year, but that's the one that has an awkward team and his type A mother learn that their peculiarities might be magical powers and that transforms their lives and reveals a hidden magic realm. I didn't say it. I'm a surgeon anyway. Um I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_04:

I gotta put that on the soundboard.

SPEAKER_02:

I didn't like that. I didn't like that I did that. Um, anyway, yeah, that's uh those are the ones I didn't bring them up because uh those are my honorable mentions too. I don't know, like I want to support them. Hoppers I'll definitely probably check out, although again, premise-wise, it doesn't grip me a lot. They even make fun of the fact that it's just basically Avatar, which you'd think I'd love that, right? But again, here we are. And then Hexed may or may not come out. So when it comes to the Disney originals, it's just hard to make those like the forefront of my attention, especially after what happened with Elio last year and the disappointment from uh me there. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04:

Corey, what do you think about any of those that Eric pointed out? And then also if you want to throw in some of that you have highlighted and and circled for 2026.

SPEAKER_01:

Uh so the Odyssey is definitely on my list. Um, I I feel like that's a story that it can be done justice on screen. Just will it? But I I feel like this is this is the time. Um I feel really bad I didn't get to see the Dune sequel in theaters, which kind of killed a lot of my Steam for wanting to watch it because it's such a theatrical experience. So I still haven't seen Dune 2, but I am looking forward to Dune Messiah. And so I I have some superheroes of sorts. I'm looking forward to Masters of the Universe because I love like how dumb the He-Man franchise can be, and yet how fun it is. Uh, I feel like everything I've seen or read that is He-Man is very cognizant of how just lame it is, and they manage to work that into something that's so cool. Uh, like when they made the new animated series a couple of years back, um, episode one, Prince Adam has a full-on Sailor Scout transformation into He-Man. And I was like, I'm sold, I'm into this, they know what they're doing. Uh, Mortal Kombat 2, I know that was very divisive when it released. I really enjoyed the first one. Not a huge fan of the audience insert character, but overall I liked what they were doing, so I'm very excited to see what happens. Uh, we get Carl Urban, like, come on. That guy, I don't think he's ever been bad in anything. Um, and then uh, I don't know if I mentioned it, but Supergirl. Um, I'm excited to see what Gun does. Probably not gonna be their opening weekend. Um, but that would be the films that I have kind of along the lines of what Eric mentioned.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, to pick up on Supergirl. I'm I'm super very super, I'm super excited. I'm very excited uh for the DCEU to continue. I I was somebody who did not expect to enjoy Superman as much as I did. I saw it twice, which again I did not see happening. So very excited to see that movie uh come out in the continuation of the DCEU. Uh the Masters in the Universe movie, it's like, man, this cast looks great. Allison Bree, Camilla Mendez, Idris Elba, Kristen Wig, Jared Leto is Skeletor. It almost has you into like how does he keep getting cast?

SPEAKER_03:

Man, like what is keep getting away with this?

SPEAKER_04:

It just doesn't make any sense. But I'm also there with you, Corey, with the Mortal Kombat Combat movie. I enjoyed it. Uh again, didn't care for Cole or whatever his name was, don't care what happens to him going forward, but very excited. Uh, and and we'll see the new movie when it does come out. Uh, the movies that I have circled here, Eric, a couple of them that are uh associated with books that I read. Once in a while, I read a book, or more so listen to an audiobook, which I did with both of these. Um the first one that's gonna be coming out is a good one.

SPEAKER_01:

It's gonna be a take a shot for Hunger Games.

SPEAKER_04:

Oh, in a second, yes. In a second. The first one is gonna be Project Hail Mary, which was outstanding. Um it's actually one of those books that upon finishing it, and then of course my algorithm uh adjusting properly, everybody recommends you listen to the audiobook because the narrator is so good. Um, I did get go back and get some confirmation because I was like, man, I feel like this character is a little bit older, but did get confirmation that he is younger, so I was like, I had some reservations about Ryan Gosling, but um, upon getting a better understanding of the source materials, yeah, he's probably gonna kill it. Uh in the in the trailer, the trailer does show way too much, but yeah, it's it's got me very excited now that I have finished the book. And then, of course, as Corey spoiled uh the Hungry Game Sunrise on the Reaping. Um listened and read through that back and forth. I'll probably listen to it again before the movie comes out because there's just so much, and uh obviously in the film they're gonna they're gonna leave out. But who whatever they were on when it came to the casting, like whoever the casting director is for this film, I'm gonna give them their flowers right now because it is outstanding. Uh, there's actually an actor from Jacksonville, a local actor, that made their way into the movie. They won a contest, so that's really, really cool. Um, so really excited to support that film. It's one of my favorite franchises, and uh yeah, it's gonna be uh it's gonna be outstanding. Um it's not a new release, but it is interesting that a month before doomsday they are re-releasing um Endgame in theaters. Um and it's gonna it's gonna contain a brand new end credit scene that will set up Doomsday directly. So will I go see it? Yeah, because I am a I'm a shill. I am a sheep. These fucking bastards, man. I'm telling you. I'm gonna sit there. Honestly, if they put Infinity War and Endgame in theaters, I would go watch it right now. I would go watch both of them and spend my entire day at the theater. Um, and then of course the other movie that I I marked down, Devil Wars Prada 2. Uh, Eric finally watched that movie in 2025. Uh, it's one of my favorite films ever. Uh, just love those characters. Really interested to see what they do with the with all of them returning. But uh yeah, we will see what happens. The good thing about Dune, Corey, is that with if Messiah does come out in 2026, they will release Dune 1 and 2, probably in theaters. They've been re-releasing a lot of movies, so I think you'll have a chance to see it.

SPEAKER_01:

That's what I'm really even if it's just like watch all three in a day, uh, I would do that.

SPEAKER_02:

Dune Day 2, Eric.

SPEAKER_01:

Dune Day.

SPEAKER_02:

It's one of the only movies I've actively told people, like, yeah, we're gonna get a day together and we're gonna watch both of these films in the same day. Like, uh while a the uh while the film's in theater, watching the first one, then going to go see it. Like it's crazy, crazy times.

SPEAKER_04:

I know Eric doesn't care about this, uh Corey, but do you have any interest in seeing scary movie six? The some of the main characters are returning, and I'm just I'm a sucker for like a goofy comedy, and I think it's I think we're if they can do it right, uh with Anna Ferris and um Regina, uh I forgot my gosh, what's her last name? They're they're both returning, and you know what, like I said, I like goofy comedies.

SPEAKER_01:

So I will be honest with you. The first time I ever saw a scary movie was the last night of October. Like October. Yes. Which one did you watch? Ne the first one. Oh no, that's the worst one. No, I well, I actually really liked it. Um because it was not as dumb as I thought it was going to be. Uh, obviously, very popular film as a kid, and I knew a lot of people who liked it, but I was like, yeah, I don't care about the comedy. And honestly, I probably would have hated it and never come back if I'd have watched it as a kid. But uh, yeah, I'm very interested in watching the rest of them. Well, you know, I think I have a local friend who hasn't seen all of them, so we might actually plan movie nights, so I might actually see uh the new one in theaters.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, you know, if you have a night where you watch all the scary movies and not all the dunes, I'm gonna be a little pissed. Do scary movie first. I'm gonna be a little mad. The thing with scary movies.

SPEAKER_04:

Everybody huddled around one small screen.

SPEAKER_02:

That's true, yeah.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, with Scary Movie, I I think because of the how good the Naked Gun movie reboot was in 2025, it like gives me hope that this could be uh that this could be good and they get the humor right. Obviously, it's gonna come down to that. Another big release in 2026 is gonna be the Super Mario Galaxy movie. Um, the Mario movie. Like, I wasn't, you know, I'm not the biggest fan of that IP and that character, but I I definitely will see that. Animation's good, voice acting's good, you know. So definitely we'll go and see that. Um uh yeah, probably uh I'm gonna skip the Mandalorian and Gorogu, but yeah, some definitely big name films uh that are gonna be dropping. Um what's our like what's our read on Doomsday? Like, is it gonna be good? Is it gonna be a mess? Like, what are we what are we thinking?

SPEAKER_01:

RDJ is playing a dude dressed as another dude. Like, I I cannot believe Disney did that, and yet at the same time, I totally can. I'm not looking forward to it, but I really hope that it just blows me out of the water.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, yeah, I um I love the Doctor Doom character a lot, like just vibes, uh, and then anything beyond that is cool, but just straight off of vibes, I've been wanting to see Doctor Doom done right on screen. If Robert Downey Jr. is great, maybe not Iron Man great, but if he's great, I think the movie works. I think everything else they can make it work, they can make it happen. Uh, if he's not, that movie falters right off the bat. So that's what I'm gonna be going into. Like, if I can if I can enjoy his performance and I can believe it and I could buy into it, that's fine. But like, yeah, I'm not super thrilled. Like, I'm not there's gonna be Easter eggs, I don't know, because I didn't watch all 47 shows and every single movie, and unfortunately, a lot of these have not been very good, in my opinion. So I I don't know, I it could be good, it could be a surprise, but I also feel like they're they're still gonna be setting up for secret war soon, right? Like, everything's just a fucking setup to the next one, and that was cool when we were in it, right? When we were in the zone and we were ready to go. Now it just feels like exhausting. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

Well, ever since Kang, I was gonna say ever since Kang fell through, like that that's where I think the real issue exists is there there was a vision and we got to see it unfold with Endgame. And there was a magic to that. There's no way they will ever be able to totally recapture that, but especially now that they're like, oh, let's pivot, instead of finding, I mean, there's gotta be at least one other black actor in Hollywood um that could take the role of Kang, you know, why not switch his face? Iron Man already did that um with War Machine, like you just swap out actors, but now it just feels like hit it with the Hulk. Yeah, so I that was a weird thing where it's like, oh, we can't do this anymore. It's like why not? He's Kang, he can be anyone, he doesn't have to be that actor.

SPEAKER_04:

Well, they had already fucked up with Kang anyway because they made him lose in his first appearance to Ant-Man. Like you're trying to well, his first appearance was in Loki, but uh we don't talk about the first season of Loki, but he uh he he died there too.

SPEAKER_03:

And he lost there too.

SPEAKER_02:

So does he match twice in Loki? He dies twice in Loki, right? He dies again.

SPEAKER_04:

I'm pretty sure he dies in season two, yeah. So so we've eliminated three variants, and he's supposed to be the big bad because there's so many of him. Imagine if, like, after Avengers, we saw Thanos, and then like Hawkeye came up and like shot him in the head with an arrow, and like and then like, well, that's okay, there's more Thanos's. Like, it's so they were like, and that's a character that people didn't give a shit about anyway, when you know Galactus is there and all these other characters that they could have gone with, and they went with Kang, who nobody really knew too much about. Which admittedly, I didn't know too much about Thanos, but I knew people were excited about Thanos. Like, I knew that. So, you know, everything's gonna be a good one. And also, how many of these characters and how many of these characters are gonna be in Doomsday that we have not seen since their first appearance? So we're gonna see Shang-Chi for the first time. He hasn't had uh he hasn't had an appearance in since then. Like we'll probably see Miss Marvel and you know some of those other characters from uh the other films in in this most recent phase. Uh Fantastic Four, we've only seen once. Like, by the time we got to Phanos, like all these characters had had multiple appearances in other movies. Like, they have literally become DC. They hit the panic button and they're and they're speed rushing this thing. Uh they're speedrunning it. So they become what they you know weren't in the beginning and what everybody else was trying to do and failed.

SPEAKER_02:

So yeah, it's unfortunate, but like we've been talking about the downfall of the MCU for years with an S now. So it's we shouldn't be surprised. Maybe Spider-Man will be good. We'll see. Maybe. Um, I was gonna throw out a couple of honorable mentions myself when it comes to movies. Uh, these are movies that uh there's three that I am slightly interested in that I'm gonna mention for me, and then the rest of them I'm either not interested, but I'm I'm curious if you guys have any interest or I just wanna kind of call them out. Uh there is The Moment, which is a Charlie XX mockumentary. It's that one that almost gave us uh a seizure fill while we were in theaters, that trailer. Uh, I just love Charlie XX, so I'm I might actually go check that out. No, no uh kidding aside, all kidding aside. The drama just got announced. Robert Pattinson, Zendea? Yeah, sign me up. And uh Werewolf, uh Robert Eger's film, which after watching Nosferatu and not not being sure if I liked it and then somewhat enjoying it, uh I kind of want to see it. So those are three that are on my radar as potential watches. Uh, I'm gonna mention 28 years later, the Bone Temple, because it comes out like right at the beginning of the year. Did not like the first one of this trilogy. So probably not gonna check it out. But could I be convinced if I hear good things? I don't know at this point. Phil, I know you're gonna watch GOAT, right? The animated movie, uh Steph Curry, Goat.

SPEAKER_04:

If there, if I'm gonna watch a movie about talking animals next year, it's gonna be Hoppers.

SPEAKER_02:

It's not gonna be Or just rewatch, rewatch Zootopia.

SPEAKER_04:

Or just watch Zootopia again, yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

Fair. Uh, we're also getting the Coyote versus Acme movie uh that was never supposed to see the light of day. And then for all of you last Airbender fans, you're getting the Legend of Aang. Uh, and I don't know how you feel about that, but I I hear mixed things. So those are some of the ones that I brought up. And then I'm assuming, Corey, you were gonna bring up all you need is uh kill at some point, because uh you've been shoving that in our face, I believe, for for like a year.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, so my uh uh I I had a few left 28 years later, The Bone Temple is one of them. Um, first film, the only reason it is not good is because it is incomplete, and it is because it is truly part of a trilogy. Uh I left liking it, but it's it's one of those the next two movies better fucking slap because they will ruin that first movie, what that first movie was aiming towards, but it is incomplete. All you need is kill, absolutely. Uh I'm hype about that. This would be a great time to do like a full series coverage on it. Um, because, you know, and that that would be one that, you know, maybe maybe you guys might find your way onto the world as my burrito again in 2026. Um, you know, because I I know that's something you want to cover. And uh uh the last serious one, and I'm surprised this hasn't magically worked its way up earlier, but Godzilla minus zero is a very big one that I'm excited about. Uh I am pretty sure I said any time it came up that I do not think they were going to make a sequel. Um the director said he would be down with it, but I'm like, no, this is gonna be like Shin Godzilla, it's a one-off. Um I'm not against it, but I just don't see why they would, you know, why they would continue this. Sets up for a sequel, but I kind of so did Shin Godzilla, but they just left it on the floor. So really happy they're doing that. Uh very excited to see where minus zero is going to take us. Um and I will throw out the one that I'm not looking forward to, because it's very important to not look forward to this, is Street Fighter. We've already had the best Street Fighter movie.

SPEAKER_04:

But this one, our boy Cody Rhodes is in it, and Roman Reigns.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, and that one guy that hosts the podcast. Who? I don't know.

SPEAKER_03:

Is there a podcaster in it? I think is Joe Rokin in the Street Fighter? He might be. He could be Sagat. He could.

SPEAKER_04:

Roman Reigns. Oh, Jason Momoa. Yeah, I forgot Jason Momoa got cast in this too. Eric Andre. Oh, Andrew Schultz, that fuck.

SPEAKER_05:

Yeah, Andrew Schultz. There we go.

SPEAKER_04:

50 Cent.

SPEAKER_03:

So um Oh, 50 Cent, let me guess.

SPEAKER_01:

Is he like Balrog? He is Balrog. Oh no, that's just too easy. Uh who do they have playing Shun Lee?

SPEAKER_04:

That's the Shun Lee is uh an actress named Kalina Liang.

SPEAKER_02:

Uh not I think that's the only one that people I remember being somewhat happy about.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah. Not familiar with her, but um Yeah. We will Oh, Kyle Mooney? Okay, that's that's interesting. Uh and then the only other thing, I guess the last one I will bring up is the I'm not really a fan of biopics, but I think I will probably see the Michael Jackson one. Uh they're not really my necessarily my thing, but like a Michael Jackson biopic might be too much for me to pass up. I don't care if it's a fluff piece, I want to hear the music on a big screen, and I'll probably go see it. But uh yeah, any any other things that you guys want to mention? Any other films that you want to point out here uh that you may be looking forward to before we transition into gaming? Anything else? That is it for now.

SPEAKER_02:

No, I'm ready I'm ready to go.

SPEAKER_04:

All right, yeah. Well, let's look ahead to 2026 when it comes to gaming. Uh I anticipate, Eric, that 2026 is gonna be similar to 2025, and that a game will pop up, you know, whatever the newest quote unquote friend slop game is. Like, what's the next schedule one gonna be? What's the next peak? What are these games going to be in 2026 that come out of nowhere from these small developers? That's what I'm very excited for. So it's a little bit harder to kind of like pick and choose which games are going to be um, you know, at the at the top of like our playlist when it comes when it's all said and done at the end of the year. We'll throw it to Corey first. We'll start with you. Um, I know you you kind of like are very intentional with your gaming and what you're you know what what time you have as far as uh you know if you're sitting down and playing something. So is there anything that you've circled in 2026 that you're looking forward to that you maybe you came across?

SPEAKER_01:

So I am uh really at the the top of the list, uh this would be a great time to bring it up. Uh Clawed, which you have streamed. Um, because I had not heard of it until y'all streamed it. I don't remember, uh I didn't get to see the stream, so I don't recall if you made a review or anything. Uh, but that was I'm pretty sure this is the one that you streamed. Uh it's on Steam.

SPEAKER_02:

I was like, I was like, did Phil? It's a dinosaur game. So I was about to ask.

SPEAKER_01:

So 2026, uh Claude, and then another dinosaur game called Tempest Triad. Um so there's some.

SPEAKER_02:

Are you thinking about when I stream Dino Blade? Because Dino Blade comes out next year, and that's that's one of mine.

SPEAKER_01:

Well, I gotta well, then let me go add Dino Blade because that doesn't sound familiar at all. I've just I've literally just gone through and added all the dino games.

SPEAKER_02:

There's a demo for this, Phil. You gotta check this out.

SPEAKER_01:

Claude. Oh boy. Okay, um wait, no. This is yeah, the guy that made uh gifs. I didn't realize that was turning into a game. These have been out for a while. Um have you seen the gifts of these or like the videos that the guy made? For Claude? Uh sorry, uh for Dino Blade now that Eric. Oh, Dino Blade. I've uh I think I've seen some of the gifts, yeah. Yeah. Um, but I this is gonna be an interesting. I think the the biggest things that I'm looking forward to. Uh I mentioned before the start that like 2025 really released everything that I cared about. Um, that's like close to me, Ghost of Yote, uh, Final Fantasy Tactics for the Switch, um, Doom the Dark Ages. Like, this was a really solid year, and I have I have not played anything from 2025 and 2025, even though some of them I do own. Um, but I think 2026 will be kind of weird. It will be a year to play things that I did not play growing up. Um, I'm looking forward to Fable. Uh it was I've heard a lot of great about Fable. So that's you know, I'm they're remaking it, cool. It's easier to access now. I'll be able to play that. And then uh Prince of Persia Sands of Time, I only barely played. Someone I knew owned it. Um, but I think that would be a great remake.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see uh we'll have a discussion about some games that may or may not come out in 2026. I'll kind of lump them all together. Fable was one of them. Um, I'll throw out a couple of games that I'm looking forward to. I'll first I'll start with games that don't necessarily have release dates that are in my wish that are in my wish list. One of them is Kingmakers. Eric, it's a game that I drafted last year uh for our uh fantasy critic league. We'll see if it comes out in 2026. It's a really looks really, really cool. Haunted Paws is a co-op game where you play as two dogs going through a haunted house. What more could you possibly want? Uh I put it in the group chat there. There is a game when you when you sent me or when I looked up Claude, it reminded me of this game here, um, as far as the aesthetic because of the um because of the art here, but it's a dinosaur game uh called and Cory, I'm not sure. How would I pronounce this? Do you see it there in the group chat?

SPEAKER_01:

It is uh okay, is it in Discord?

SPEAKER_04:

It's in Discord, yeah. I didn't know.

SPEAKER_01:

Kyoto. Okay. Yeah. This is the yeah, is it supposed to be released for 2026?

SPEAKER_04:

I I've It just says to be announced, uh, as far as date.

SPEAKER_01:

So it's something I've been following for a while, and they kind of keep re releasing the same footage every time, and they've gotten bigger backers.

SPEAKER_04:

And it's like, okay, and this is something we've had to get used to, right, Eric, with PC gaming, is like we get A hold of these projects, and a lot of them are stuck in this. We just need a little bit more backing hell. You know what I mean? Like it's just a vicious cycle, so that might be one of those games. Uh there is um that may or may not come up. I know Eric is really looking forward to anime shop simulator. That's one he's definitely gonna circle, uh, and that I will may or may not buy for him whenever it releases. Uh, but as far as gaming, again, I I think it's gonna be a year where it's like, oh, I'm I want to try that out. Oh, I heard that is good. And then it's gonna be a lot of will they, won't they, as far as releases. The games that I have circled that I do think will come out in 2026. Um, the Pokemon Pacopia game, which is gonna be in the Switch 2, it's kind of like a um uh you know Animal Crossing style Pokemon game. Will I get a Switch 2 in March? Probably not, but it's something I'm interested in. The 007 first light game looks interesting. So from the people that made the um the Hitman series, I really like the mechanics in that. It's it's pretty easy to jump into and mix it with 007. I think that's good. And it's something that has been leaked many, many times. We know it's coming, we just don't know when it's going to happen. And we've talked about it kind of jokingly, but the black flag remake, Assassin's Creed Black Flag, is is probably supposed to come out in quarter one of 2026. I think they desperately need that to be good. Uh Shadows was underwhelming, and they're just kind of in a weird place when it comes to Assassin's Creed. I think really releasing Black Flag would be an easy win for them, and maybe even an opportunity to kind of like retcon some of the other stuff. So those are some things that I highlighted that I I think are supposed to come out in 2026. Um, but yeah, uh, Eric, any of those interest you uh that I mentioned there.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, well, you both brought up uh I guess Ubisoft remakes in uh Sands of Time for Prince of Persia and then Black Flag for Assassin's Creed. Both of those would be interesting re-playthroughs if they're done well. We're getting into a lot of reboot and remake territories here when it comes to gaming. Uh, not something I always love to see, but when it's done well, I mean you can't complain. And then 007 First Light is probably the one out of all those that stood out the most to me as a potential game. I never really played the hitman games, but Phil, you've talked about the fact that I should.

SPEAKER_04:

It's such a streamable game, and I think it'd be really funny to watch you try.

SPEAKER_02:

I I probably will. I'm actually gonna look at what these prices are because there's a lot of sales going on Steam right now. But uh yeah, I gotta keep that in mind as we uh go into is there a particular hitman I should play?

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, the most recent one is the World of Assassination games and has like all of the they they did a weird thing with Hitman recently, they kind of released them like episodically, and now they're all out. Um, and then the most recent one is that there is a Eminem versus Slim Shady update. And so you Eminem hires Agent 47 to kill Slim Shady.

SPEAKER_03:

Crazy It's a free update too.

SPEAKER_04:

So yeah. Yeah, it's a really, really interesting game and really, really fun too. Uh some of my favorite videos to watch on YouTube is the Kill Everyone challenge, where someone will try and kill literally every single NPC on the map. And it's uh quite entertaining. I'd like to see you uh attempt that. But um, yeah, Eric, uh, what do you have any games that you've circled uh that you have um found through some research that you're looking forward to in 2026? Before again, I want to I want to lump a few games together and whether or not we think they'll actually release in 2026, especially that big one.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, I think I think we know, right? It has it's the it's the elephant in the room we haven't talked about yet. It's the K-pop demon hunters of this episode.

SPEAKER_04:

Derpy of the room just sitting there.

SPEAKER_02:

So uh I'll bring up the biggest game that I am excited for, uh, maybe biggest two, and then I'll bring up a bunch of games that I actually played demos of that I'm excited for and I'm looking forward to as well. Uh Slave The Spire 2 is the game that I am the most excited about. I played Slave Aspire for the first time, me and Phil both did, uh, for a Patreon specific episode back in April. Um, yeah, one of my favorite games of all time. It is cemented. Like, I love that game. Cannot wait to play the second one. In the same vein, a lot of people love vampire survivors. Well, vampire crawlers is going to be coming out, and this is going to be a little bit different. I think they're really trying to capitalize on the actual like Balatro style, uh, and then also Slay the Spire when it comes to like deck builder with roguelike elements. Could it work? Yeah, I think it could, and I'm kind of excited to see what that actually looks like. As far as other games that I've played the demos of that I'm looking forward to, getting a couple of the roguelikes out of the way, uh Racoin is a coin pusher roguelike, a lot of fun. Really enjoy that. Struman Gloom is going to be one of my highest anticipated games that is not Slay the Spire 2. Another roguelike game that I just think aesthetically has so much appeal. But then we go into some other genres like a CRPG called Esoteric Ebb, which I think is really fun. A lot of dungeon uh and dragon elements to the storytelling there. And I think that was really kind of surprising when I played it that I vibed with it so much. It's a game I got my eye on. Reanimal, the creators of the first two Little Nightmares are going to finally be releasing that game. That's not always been my cup of tea, but playing the demo, I see the appeal. And finally, Dead is Disco is probably the one that I had the most fun with, and that I'm looking forward to as a game that isn't normally something I would play, that I'm really excited for. And when you play like games like Sifu, but add music and some more intensity to it in that element, I mean it's really a formula that has to work, and it does based off of what I saw on the demo. So those are the games that I am looking forward to the most that we could probably expect next year, outside of some of the big ones we're about to get into soon.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, Dead is Disco. What I would hope for that they add, you know, again, it's just a demo. Um, what I what I hope that they add is like it, of course, it'd be a little bit more difficult. The demo's pretty easy to get through, and really it's about just kind of like showcasing the mechanics of the game. You can also import your own songs into the game, which is really, really cool. Uh, figuring out the BPM, however, is another question. But it was I really enjoyed my time with that demo. Um, it looks a lot of fun. Shroom and Gloom is also something I have on my wish list as well, Eric, and I definitely want to check out that demo eventually. Um, but yeah, very excited for that. Uh I do want to point out one cozy game. Uh, you see, I I I very much enjoy those. There is a game, hopefully comes out in 2026 called Navalis, which is essentially cyberpunk, but it is a a cozy game, so you uh, you know, essentially build yourself a life within a cyberpunk world. Um, and uh yeah, it's just uh supposed to be a fun, relaxing time, but aesthetically looks great. Um, it's got that uh um a cyberpunk feel and it looks really, really good. Uh Corey, any of those games that Eric mentioned have you either heard of or were also interested in?

SPEAKER_01:

So the one uh I think of all of that, the only thing that I've heard of and am interested in is Reanimal. Uh, because I learned of both Reanimal and another game that did release this year called Zucosis at the same time. Uh, and I I can't remember if Reanimal was supposed to be a 2025 release or not, um, but I remember Zucosis getting released. It's not really had the best of reviews, it doesn't sound like they're fixing everything either. Um, but Reanimal, I did not realize it was the same studio for Little Nightmares, so I am much more excited for that now. Uh, because I played one and two. I really like if you want to talk about vibes, um, like those games are great. They're you know, they are artistic and horrific all at once. Uh, so I am very excited for Reanimal.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, I definitely have seen that pop up on my um algorithm as well. And then the very last game I'll put uh point out here is a game called Mixtape. Aesthetically, it looks awesome. It's an upcoming narrative adventure game, um, and it is uh tonally and visually inspired by the night uh the 1980s, like coming of age films. Uh looks really, really cool, um, really neat aesthetic. I'll send that to you guys here once we're done. But yeah, let's get to the elephants. Elephant, the big elephant, and then also some other elephants in the room. Which of these games, if any, do you think are actually going to release in 2026? I've compiled a list. I put together a team, uh, Nick Fury, um, and I've I on this team I've assembled Fable, The Elder Scrolls 6, Marvel's Wolverine, Half-Life 3. There's been some rumblings about that being debuted here at the video game awards in a couple of weeks. And then the last one is an indie dev called Rockstar, and they are releasing a game called Grand Theft Auto 6. Um, I believe that people are expecting to release it. I think it was supposed to come out this year, but or early next year. Now it's gonna be it's set for a November release. Eric, I'll throw it to you first. If you want to pull up the um uh either the Discord chat, I'll put them in here, and I'm I'm gonna put you on the spot here and do a ranking of these of these games. Top top the most likely to release, bottom least likely to release, and I'll throw those out to you. What do you think? We have five. We got five games here.

SPEAKER_02:

Um it's tough. It's tough. Uh here's what I'll tell you. I would say I would say for sure if we're gonna get these games, it's probably Marvel's Wolverine. I think we are gonna get that game. I think that game has been done. It the leak stuff, I think, I think the leak fucked it up. So I think there now that it's coming, I think I think it's going to come. So I would say you say coming so much. You you come and then you came and then we're gone. And anyway, uh Marvel's Wolverine, I would probably have to put it one for now. Half-Life 3 is picking up a ton of steam for a game I haven't seen anything about. I think I might be able to do that.

SPEAKER_04:

There were like rumors it was gonna shadow drop a couple weeks ago, and I was like, oh, I gotta play one and two.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah. Uh with the Steam uh console coming out, I just feel like something like that could be warranted. So maybe that's two, which again, this list isn't going well already because I'm just avoiding GTA 6, which is the one game that probably should be at number one. Out of all these games, we probably have the most from that, which isn't saying a lot, but I'm gonna put GTA 6 at three. I can't really put it further down than that. And then I would say Elder Scroll 6 and then Fable. I I don't know what a Fable game even looks like, honestly. Where at least Elder Scrolls 6, they could definitely throw whatever they want at us and we'll eat that shit up. I don't know what a Fable game that would interest people really would look like. So yeah, that would be my order. Um, and I and I'm not happy with it, by the way.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, Corey, what do you think? Uh what what's what's your your ranking? Is it similar?

SPEAKER_01:

So ranking and the ranking was supposed to be how likely it's going to release. Yeah, so I I would say my top would be Elder Scrolls 6 because it doesn't fucking matter how buggy it is. Um they'll be like, yeah, sure, whatever, people are gonna buy it. Uh we'll fix it eventually. Um so I think that'll release the Marvel's Wolverine. I I'd even forgotten that that had been announced at any point in time, but I feel like that's gotta happen at this point. They've got enough in kind of another negative thing, but they've got enough bland games out there for Marvel stuff that it's like, yeah, sure, it doesn't matter if it's great, they can just release it. Um I I have hope for Fable. I have more hope for Fable. That'll be my third. And then I will put GTA 6 at fourth because it's the whole thing, again, uh it was supposed to be end of this year, beginning of next year originally. Um something like that, like either quarter four, 2025, quarter one, twenty twenty-six, and it just keeps moving. Uh, for better or worse, I feel like that's gonna end up being a 2027. Um, and lastly, I just they've been talking about Half-Life 3 since like the day after 2 released, I'm sure. Yeah, I feel like that's never gonna happen. And if it does, it would probably be a shadow drop. They just won't even tell anyone. Just open up Steam one day and it's gonna be like, oh yeah, here's Half-Life 3, by the way. It's recommended for you. We're not announcing it's gonna be on front recommended.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, I'll just be on that front page of Steam. Everyone will freak the fuck out. Like, what what is happening? Yeah, my list isn't too different from yours, Eric. I think I would put Marvel's Wolverine at the top. Um, I'll put. God. And honestly, I could see all the remainder of the four being either not releasing or being pushed into 2020. I think the only I feel the best about Marvel's Wolverine, but I could see them pushing GTA 6 into 2027 to have it closer to the PlayStation 6 launch, which might be like 2028. That's what they did with GTA 5, remember? 360, and then the new consoles came out. So like I could see them easily pushing that into 2027. Um fuck it. We're new to this, so let's put Half-Life 3 at number two. I'll put Half-Life 3 at 2. Um, I'm gonna definitely put Elder Scrolls 6 at the bottom. Um, I'm doing this list weird, but yeah, we'll do we'll do Marvel, we'll do Marvel's Wolverine Half-Life 3, I'll put Fable there, GTA 6, because I think they're gonna push it in 2027. And I don't think Elder Scrolls 6 is even close to being done. I don't think we're gonna see it. If people think we maybe see a trailer at the game awards, I don't think we will, and if even if we do, it'll be like a 30-second snippet, and it'll just say coming soon. Like that's all it's gonna say. Um, for for those games. I don't feel good about any of them other than Marvel's Wolverine.

SPEAKER_02:

No, I agree with that, but listen, man, we got that oblivion remake out of fucking nowhere, too. Like and they they re-hauled that pretty heavily, so I don't know. It's just something about it. Uh, for Fable, I just don't see how that can be anything but the bottom. Like Peter's point.

SPEAKER_04:

Still involved in Fable, or did he move on?

SPEAKER_02:

Well, see, that's not a good start. That's that's not what you want to hear in uh in a listing of rankings. If you uh if you're talking about Peter Fuckface, it's not good.

SPEAKER_01:

Also, you really should consider a name change.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, that's really not the great great name.

SPEAKER_04:

Also, for that, they're gonna have to pivot from it being an Xbox exclusive, right? There's no way they can let that game send out on a dying console and just sit there. Right? They're gonna have so that that probably messes it up even more. Because they're gonna they're gonna have to optimize it for PC and then what a PS5 release? Like, what are they gonna do? Like, we're getting gears and Halo in 2026 for the PlayStation. So, like, you better make Fable available on that thing. I don't know who's gonna I don't know anybody with an Xbox Not anymore. Yeah, yeah, so we'll see. Like, will uh will an Xbox Series S even run Fable? Like I can't imagine. Yeah. So we'll see. But uh yeah, out of all those games, I think we'll be playing Marvel Wolverine. All the rest, I'm not sure. Uh we'll see. If we get through the summer and GTX GTA 6 hasn't been pushed, then maybe I'll feel like a little bit better, but I don't know.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, I think what comes before any of those games that I think we're probably gonna get, but like what the fuck has been going on with them since the last time we did Foresight is uh E Day for Gears of War and then Marvel 1943.

SPEAKER_04:

Marvel 1943 is not coming out. They they just pushed it, they just like pushed it in indefinitely. That game's not coming out. The Black Panther Captain America game. We're never gonna see it. Uh I I I have a feeling it's it's also an EA game, right? I think so. No. Not gonna happen. EA just got bought out by the Saudi Prince, so like we're not not uh holding my breath on a lot of EA releases.

SPEAKER_01:

So what Shad Khan has done with the Jaguars, so right.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, we saw what they did with the AEW video game, and that was shit too. So uh Eric Corey, anything else you want to mention before we move into just miscellaneous stuff to kind of wrap up the episode?

SPEAKER_01:

Man, the only other titles that I have in my Steam wish list is a game called Dead Weight. Uh it is one of the like square turn-based RPGs, um, the grid grid turn-based RPGs, and uh a game called Never Way. Now I have no idea where I heard of these from, um, so I am also kind of surprised. But Neverway, it's like 8-bit uh or 16-bit. It looks like a Game Boy color game, because every screenshot is one solid color, and I remember that about the Game Boy color, is like it had to be hues of blue or hues of red or hues of green on you know the screen. They didn't they couldn't mix them, it wasn't that complex at the time. Um, so those those are the only other things on my wish list. Um so yeah, we'll see if I end up snagging them when they release.

SPEAKER_04:

I actually have one more that does have a release date of March 12th. Um, it's a game called Replaced. I'm gonna put it in the Discord chat here for you guys. It's a 2.5D platformer, um, and it is uh it's aesthetically looks really, really cool. Um, this again is another game that has come across my uh my algorithm. Um, set in the alternate 1980s America, uh Scarred by Nuclear Catastrophe. Navigate a dark cyberpunk thriller in this narrative-driven platformer, blending cinematic exploration with fluid free-flow action. It's definitely one of those games, especially since we've gotten more and more into Steam gaming, uh, Eric, that we, you know, you want to check and see what the reviews are. But again, aesthetically, looks really, really cool.

SPEAKER_02:

So um looks uh looks cool. Has been drafted the last two years in the week?

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, and now maybe that's where I remember I remember it from. Interesting.

SPEAKER_02:

Right. So yeah, it says May 2026. We're getting closer with it like release dates coming, but yeah, no, it's been like tentatively 2024, 2025, now pushing to 2026. So it might be one of those games. Put it on the list.

SPEAKER_04:

We'll put it on the list. All right, guys. Well, let's move into just kind of like some miscellaneous stuff that we're looking forward to in 2026. Obviously, we have a big slate of conventions ahead of us that we're very much looking forward to. I'll selfishly throw something, a couple things out here. Um, a couple of my voiceover projects are set to release in quarter one of 2026. Uh, one of them uh you may hear about a little bit sooner than later. I would just say maybe come to Ocala. I mean, I'm sorry, come to Brick City Anime Festival in January. Um, and that's all I can say about it at this time. Um, and then there is also a narrative-driven show that's gonna be on uh like Spotify, uh Apple Podcasts, things like that, um, that is going to release very, very soon um as well that I'm excited for people to uh to hear. So those are a couple things, and then for the three of us, hopefully, if it works out, we are planning to go to our first New York City Comic Con as a as a group. Um, again, logistically, we're gonna have to figure out a bunch of different things. I am not driving, Corey. We are if you want to drive and we'll we'll fly and meet you up there, but I am not getting in a car and driving.

SPEAKER_03:

Driving to New York. I'm not I'm not using a week's worth of PTO to drive to New York City.

SPEAKER_01:

But what if I put K-pop Demon Hunters on repeat?

SPEAKER_03:

I do that now. And I just do that at least. Are you gonna put me in the backseat with a portable DVD player? Is there is there a DVD of K-pop Demon Hunters available?

SPEAKER_04:

If we discuss if we discuss snacks, maybe I'll I'll uh I'll consider it. But uh yeah, hopefully we get to go to New York City Comic-Con. You know, our buddy bought our short box podcast, he's been multiple times, and it's just something that we just want to go do and get out of the way. So uh those are a couple things that I've like jotted down. We are begrudgingly returning to MegaCon this year to uh in 2026. Help out a couple of friends, but also uh, you know, excited to go see the show and also see some of our friends. But those are some things that I jotted down. Uh Eric, what about you? Anything miscellaneous-wise in 2026 you're looking forward to, either personally or professionally?

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, no, uh from a personal standpoint, I'm uh really excited on continuing to do more of the streaming, uh, not only on Twitch, but expanding that to other platforms as well. I've really been kind of doing my research and deep diving how how to really make that happen seamlessly, and uh really just trying to take the leap uh early next year. Also on the social uh media side of things, getting a little bit more comfortable with some things that I'd plan to do for content creation. Uh, this year has been one hell of a year, so really trying to hit the ground running going into 2026, and I'd appreciate you guys again in any way supporting me there. But as far as on a like pop culture level or just things going on next year, we talked a lot about the growth of movie theaters from the kind of investment in new IMAX theaters and things like Cinemark, uh, which is a theater we typically go to, doing things like Screen X. And whether you like that experience or not, I think the fact that theaters are investing more into that cinematic experience is just a good thing. And it looks like 2026 will be at least the start of big things to come. So I'm excited to see what that looks like in execution, and I'm very hopeful that it will be positive. So that's probably one of the biggest things I'm looking forward to, just off the top of my head.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, well, Netflix is trying to ensure that you you don't go to the movies anymore, you just watch everything at home. So we'll see what happens when it comes to uh to movie theaters. Very, very uh something we're obviously gonna be very interested in and invested in. Uh, Corey, what about you? Personal, professional level, what are you looking forward to in 2026?

SPEAKER_01:

Uh always looking forward to conventions. It's I see y'all at like most of the ones that I do. Um, but uh a very fun thing that I get to do, little local movie theater we have called Sunray, is uh doing a uh a showing of Scream 7, I believe is the next one.

SPEAKER_05:

Yeah, for Scaradice, right?

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, it is for Scaradice. Um and Matt Lillard will be there. So I get to be a part of that, so I get to watch the movie sponsored by Scaradice and then get some photos of uh I guess the like conversation afterwards. Um so that's really cool. Uh yeah, more podcasting stuff. I will probably start upgrading audio equipment in 2026 because I'm actually really surprised that we have not had an issue tonight, because the last few times I've recorded, something has happened, and like all year long, most of my solution has been to unplug my mic from port 1 to port 2, or unplug it from port 2 and put it over into port 1 because I've had weird issues. So I'm getting real tired of doing that, and probably improve the actual mics. The SM58s are unkillable, but not the best audio quality. Uh yeah, other than that, god, I the the big thing that sits on my mind is having to do uh housework next year. We there we have some home renovation plans, so that's definitely more personal, not professional, um, but making the house prettier for other people. Um yeah, fun stuff. That's it.

SPEAKER_02:

Two two things there. Uh number one, uh, why don't you tell us about the audio issues? I'm gonna go back to edit this episode, and when it's when you when you unmute, all I'm gonna hear is it's fucking static everywhere.

SPEAKER_01:

No, you would already have heard it. Uh okay. Because like last night I recorded and I was having an issue where I unplugged literally, I was plugged into um input two, just unplugged it, put it into one, no more issues. And uh, I think last week I was recording and I had to unplug it, but again, all year long, like guesting on other people's podcasts, there will be an issue where it's like, oh hey, there's like a sound coming from your mic, and it's not interference with something, it's just a weird sound that is emitting from my box, um, like from the connection, and the solution is always unplug it from whatever port it's in and put it in the other one. So it's not even a singular port, it's the box that's causing the problem. But this was it was given to me um by uh Vigo, who you guys got to meet earlier this year. He gave it to me like I think two years ago. Um, and so it's cool, it was free, but it was also he got rid of it because it was a dirt cheap box, anyways. Um but it has done its job, and I think it's about time to to upgrade and then use that as an excuse to upgrade a mic as well.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, no, that that's totally fair. The second thing, uh, I didn't hear you say you're gonna shave that thing off your face. So, like, when is that when is that on the uh on the good old agenda?

SPEAKER_01:

You see, Eric, when you become a man, I know, I know, I've been a man. It's right here, it's mine. You you have facial hair, I have a beard.

SPEAKER_02:

Stop saying that. Stop stop saying that.

SPEAKER_04:

I don't know what that means. And that's why. That's why you don't get it. You just don't get it.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, you don't get it, Eric.

SPEAKER_02:

Oh my all my care stuff say beard care. It doesn't say facial hair care. It says beard care.

SPEAKER_01:

Well, you should return. That's not for you. Yeah, if you'll notice it's not working. You don't have a beard.

SPEAKER_03:

What do you mean? What do you mean?

SPEAKER_04:

Well, I guess I will throw that out there as far as like some podcasting stuff too, Eric, is like, you know, we do you know, Eric and I want to make some steps as far as the presentation of the show. So we're gonna hopefully we're gonna look into seeing if we can make that happen with the space that we are that is available to us. So um will it happen in 2026? Maybe, but uh definitely something we have on the um the docket as far as would like to do. Um, but whether or not it's you know possible with the space we have yet to be seen, but uh, you know, we're certainly gonna try. So very excited for that. And then also, yeah, again, like uh all the shows that we we typically do, um, we will be back, of course, the first one being Brick City Anime Festival. Um, then of course, uh we uh, you know, we're looking to possibly add another show uh in 2026. Uh some some very exciting new opportunities that we'll talk about pretty soon.

SPEAKER_01:

But yeah, well you did just drop one of what was the one that was it the gaming one? There was one that it was the last episode that you did for that section this year.

SPEAKER_02:

Uh the game room where it happens. Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, we took that out to pasture, double pumped it in the back of the head, and send it on its way. But yeah, we are throwing around the uh idea of a possible new bonus episode because what did I miss is gonna slide into that fourth spot now, and um we'll see if uh again the um the reboot van comes to fruition that Eric really liked the name of.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, like the name. Uh don't love having to go back to like the shining. So that's that's no no no.

SPEAKER_04:

We have to watch movies trouble. We have to watch movies that we did enjoy and see if they're still good.

SPEAKER_02:

Oh, okay. That's less interesting. I thought we'd have to go back to the movie.

SPEAKER_04:

Well, we can also, I mean, we can it could be both, but you know, that's that's yeah, yeah, it should be a mixture.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, yeah. So can we do the the month after the shining? Can we do pretty woman, please?

SPEAKER_04:

No, you you're just gonna watch pretty woman on your own. Yeah, we're gonna we're gonna reboot and um Puss in Boots, The Last Wish.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, that's what we're gonna do. Let's do it. Yeah, let's do it.

SPEAKER_04:

No, I don't uh I don't think so. But uh yeah, guys, that is uh, you know, those are some of the things that we are looking forward to in the world of pop culture. 2026 is gonna be uh again a crazy year. What's gonna be this year's K-pop Demon Hunters? Again, what's going to be this year's version of uh, you know, again, some of those games that we um didn't expect to play in 2025. That that is uh some of the um that that's the beauty of it. We we we don't really truly know. We get to look back on these episodes and say, wow, we were really off on that or we were spot on, and uh, very excited to see what the year uh has to hold in uh as far as all three of us. But Corey, um please let everybody know if if they have if they don't know already where they can find your work and anything else you want to plug before we get out of here and wrap up the episode and and look forward to the new year.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, you can find me anywhere you listen to podcasts at the world is my burrito, and then on social media is Twinbee Podcast. I really only use it whenever I've released a new episode, but if you want to reach out, um I do at least check them for messages and stuff. And for Christmas, um if you look up a podcast called The Neat Cast, every year they do the 12 rants of Christmas, and I was the second rant this year. That episode has already been released. It's like a 30-minute episode where I pick something to rant about, and uh it'll be equally surprising and unsurprising. So that was a fun thing to do. But uh yeah, I I guess other than that, um, you'll find me on approximately three to four more episodes of the Wait for It Podcast in 2026. Uh, I feel like we're gonna have to keep moving moving it up until I become uh third member, you know, by 2028.

SPEAKER_04:

There you go. We are we're we're also looking to expand apparently in 2026 here at the Wait For It Podcast, which is gonna be easier than ever with our Capital One credit card, the Wait For It Podcast.

SPEAKER_02:

Stop! That has to die this year. We can't keep doing this. We can't keep doing this. You're right. Also, Corey, off! I'm the co-host, you already took my beard, you can't take my title. You're right.

SPEAKER_04:

Sorry.

SPEAKER_01:

I can be the coco host.

SPEAKER_04:

No, you're right. Sorry. Thanks to our new Sony PlayStation credit card, earn 10 points per transaction with the Sony PlayStation credit card. Uh the Way4 Podcast is not sponsored by any of these institutions. Uh, I just want to point out. Spend$10,000 to buy maybe GTA 6 on your PlayStation credit card. But anyway, folks, thanks so much for joining us for the 2026 version of Foresight and Predictions. Again, if you're brand new here or if you need a reminder, everything you need, wait for it, podcast related, and the world is my burrito will be in the show notes of this episode. Make sure to follow us on social media. You can find us on TikTok and Instagram. Follow us or join our growing Discord community, and make sure you like, share, and subscribe over on YouTube. Make sure to follow Eric and myself as far as our personal content creation journeys, myself with voice acting, and then Eric with his content creation as well as over on Twitch, where he is streaming a shit ton. Make sure you keep up with him over there. Um, if you want to support the podcast, both this one and the world is my burrito, head on over to the podcast player of your choice and give us five stars. It's one of the best ways you can support both shows. Shout out to those of you who have done so already. But if you're looking to get more from the Way Forward Podcast in 2026 and beyond, and maybe get episodes a little bit early and participate in the ver the very first Patreon month that's coming up here in the next couple of months. Eric will let you know a little bit more about that before wrapping us up.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, so if you want to go beyond and support the podcast a little bit further, you can do that on Patreon. We're patrons of the show, Briar, T3K, Vintage Macaroni, uh, this guy, Corey, the From the World is my burrito, Nick Casbaro, the author of the Vitalarium series, and Botter from the Short Box podcast are supporting us monthly in exchange for things like behind the scenes and early access to episodes just like this one. You heard Phil mention it coming up very, very soon. We are going to be returning to Patreon month, where you might be able to recommend a show and maybe something in pop culture that we missed that you want us to check out. And it might be our favorite thing ever, like Slay the Spire or I don't know, Pretty Woman. Who knows? Really, it could be anything at all. But if you don't want to do any of that, you can't do it, you're not in a position, and you just want to help us out. Everything that Phil mentioned that's free and only takes a moment of your time really helps. And make sure to do the same thing over for Corey's show as well. With all that being said, my name is Mr. Eric Almighty, that is my co host, Phil the Filipino, and our guest Corey from the world is my burrito. And please don't forget, we release new episodes every Wednesday on the podcast, and all you have to do is wait for it.
