Ep. 102: The Cora Tree
Show Notes Chapter Markers

An ancient oak, mangled by time and weather, sits in the middle of a small town on the Outer Banks of NC. The scar torn down its middle tells the story of a lightning storm. The name carved deeply in its trunk, tells another story. This week, Hannah tells Katy about some of their closer to home local lore: the Cora Tree! Find out why you should keep your Ceremonial Witch Hunting Bowl on you at all times, why being a woman who was good at fishing was dangerous in the 18th century, and why you should never make faces at babies.

This episode is a callback to one of our very first tales (episode 2!), and recording it was a hell of an adventure! The girls are eating cheesecake this week (just go with it), so get your own slice and settle in for this Local Legend!
