Speaker 2:

I think, there are no modifiers. I think it's straight up, right. Some of these folks we don't. We know we can reach out to red eye. Let's let's see what kind of core value we get and feel it out from there.

Speaker 1:

I gotta be hitting up in To like a messenger on insta. Private message on insta, because I just imagine she's an instagram.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, oh yes six and a five.

Speaker 2:

So that's truth. One gm, one player, one hour and we go to 11 Individibly true believers. Welcome back to issue number three Of jolt, entitled cherry bomb. So this session exemplifies playtime overlapping with in real life Stuff. Rich rogers and I, we play every Monday, uh, as much as we can. We bump up against my kids music lessons every other monday. Rich has Real world things that pop up from time to time too. Sometimes we have to cancel a game, sometimes we have to shorten it from a two hour play time to maybe an hour, and this session we, uh, we pack a lot into one hour.

Speaker 2:

One of the big things you hear about in role playing games is this phrase play to find out. You'll see a lot of that in this session. I always tell folks comic books It's nothing more than soap opera With superpowers, right. So while crazy stuff happens in on the pages And so you can see some of that play out in this episode, when we play to find out, we engage the situation as best we can, making choices and Engaging the mechanics to determine how things fall out. In this session You'll see rich Uh be proactive as the player Running down some things he's interested in, as a player maneuvering, nate the character to do those things Where we don't have answers, because I don't have this whole universe fleshed out.

Speaker 2:

Uh, i throw some things on the table, we talk about what works, what doesn't work, we nail it down and we move on. You'll see us do this with the background for cherry bomb. You'll see us do this as we establish sites, locations in Jacksonville, and since that's where rich has some experience, he's the lead on that conversation He'll pick out locations that he's familiar with and that kind of enhances The play because he's super familiar with a place that he's picked. Again, i don't have any rails, i don't have a plot, i don't have a story. Uh, and that is never more apparent than this session, when rich runs down, uh, some things he's interested in As he's trying to get answers to what's happening in his character's life. So here we are. Jolt number three cherry bomb. We'll see.

Speaker 2:

We'll see where this goes so it sounds lively As I remember it, uh Nathan got his family to a hotel, yeah, because uh three pain showed up, uh Targeting Nathan's wife um, i remember her name, sarah and uh, it looks like he switched backgrounds on me. Who me Yeah I had watched him. Yeah, i had. Uh, oh no, you know, you're right, we're no, that's, that's where the capital cryptids are.

Speaker 1:

Yeah that's what I figured. I want to fight no rich, no, no, no we leave that to to the, the supernatural party.

Speaker 2:

There we go, jacksonville, and I give it this line because I don't need that Good stuff. Uh, and actually I think I have assumed in Yeah, mandarin, yeah, yeah, yeah, i told you, i got a uh, a shout and a like from the mandor, not the mandarin bridge, the uh uh, yeah, from the um bucklin bridge, yeah, yeah bucklin bridge Yeah it's so cool, that is very cool. So, uh, so no, yeah, nathan gets his family uh and orange blast to Uh hotel. Did we ever give orange blast a real name?

Speaker 2:

No let me see I have red eyes. We did not. I can't believe I didn't do that. All right, so we gotta give him a real name. Oh, maybe I did. Maybe I did. Let me look at the character sheets. I think that's probably where it's uh, nick, yep, uh, oh, it's just nick. Okay, so I'm thinking it might be short, unless you want to name him differently. Sure, for nicolas, but yeah, i like it. It's called nick. Yeah, i like it. Um, so I think, unless you have something I think it's you and orange blast in the parking lot of the hotel. Um, maybe away from the main door, maybe closer to your vehicles. Have a conversation, right, because your family is now inside. They're safe. Uh, sarah's probably getting mason Through the bedtime routine, kind of thing. Um, unless you have a different place you want to start no, I like that.

Speaker 1:

I like starting there. I like it.

Speaker 2:

Uh and nick, it's like I. Uh, i'm sorry I didn't stop that guy. I didn't have it handled by the time you got there. Uh, i thought the cop was a cop.

Speaker 1:

I almost fell for it.

Speaker 2:

Um, yeah, i thought he had my back because I saw that other dude in the room And I never even put it together that they looked the same. I just ran for the other dude and I've got me in the back.

Speaker 1:

Sorry, it'll be. It's okay, we came out of it. That's what matters. I uh getting hot.

Speaker 2:

It is. I talked to Some of my friends and that dude, that multiplying guy, uh, that's his gig man. He goes around smoking folks in the witness protection program. Did you know this?

Speaker 1:

Told me as much, i wasn't sure if he was blowing smoke.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he mostly works out of Seattle. But Uh, you got something going on. Was hot, Is somebody trying to touch you?

Speaker 1:

No, this is hot. It's getting hot, man Like our house. Wait listen, have you talked to cherry bomb, citrus, white, lightning, blue?

Speaker 2:

uh, he, he, yeah, he's got to tell right, he, some of the names he's like whatever, but some of those names he kind of he has a tick right Where he doesn't, right, he doesn't, he gets uncomfortable, that's the word right and he's like no, just Red eye. Froze me some jobs from time to time, that's Come on. That's about it.

Speaker 1:

Come on, come on, that's man. I need some help, we need some help. Look.

Speaker 2:

I hear cherry bomb is not, she's man. Uh, i'm scared of her these days, right, so I stay out of her circles, i stay off of radar, right? Uh, no one's seen citrus. I haven't. I haven't been in touch. I mean, you would know. White lightning, uh, you know her were about Before I would man, didn't you? didn't y'all used to have a thing?

Speaker 1:

Well, that's why I don't know where she went. Man, that thing didn't go so well.

Speaker 2:

Oh, and blue. Well, yeah, i don't know, i don't, i don't know, okay.

Speaker 1:

Man, i guess they're not really involved.

Speaker 2:

Anyway, Is this a sara thing? Red eye will probably have tabs on him because he's that kind of guy.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but what am I gonna owe him for it?

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Plus I gotta, we gotta settle up with him, for we're gonna ask him for anything.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm sorry about that. I just couldn't kill that guy.

Speaker 1:

No, i'm glad you didn't assassinate someone for money. This is not the part of the conversation where I tell you You should have murdered that guy. I mean, what I'm saying is We gotta settle up with red eye, regardless whether we ask him to help us or not. He said there was that warehouse with a bunch of stuff in it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, i had a lot of tech in there. Um you.

Speaker 1:

You know some fences you.

Speaker 2:

I can make some calls. I bet you we can fence it all of it. I mean, it looks like some of the R&D stuff from back in the day. Right, i want to use the run tests, figure out our limits, up our equipment, things like that. And it's empty, right? Well, the target ran to ground there and that's where I found them and we had that talk, right, okay, okay.

Speaker 1:

Let me make a call. I'll be back in just a minute, okay.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, i'll keep an eye out.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, stay close, man, and then I'll zip away. Do I have any numbers for any of the old crew And are any of them, as far as I know, along the southeast corridor, like anywhere near Jacksonville? All right?

Speaker 2:

So let me update my list here, because you put a new name I didn't know about. We got red-eye cherry bomb, white lightning, citrus climax and there's blue.

Speaker 1:

Electric blue. I don't know what are the flavors Yeah, yeah, yeah, It can totally be somebody who's dead as far as I know.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, no, no, i'm good with this. I'm good with this. The more names you give me, the bigger the cast. I love it. Electric blue I like it. So I don't want to decide. I want to think there's a way to make a roll here, because you're just trying to see who's around and who you can pull in to help you out.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, because in my head, just so you know where I am, where I am, where Nate is it could go to the warehouse and do the thing by himself, but then he's leaving Obi, who's already gotten pants by this guy. That doesn't feel right. He really does want Obi to be part of getting the warehouse, but he doesn't trust Obi to do it by himself. So him and Obi going to do the thing would be great if he had somebody trusted who could keep an eye on Sarah.

Speaker 2:

Gotcha, gotcha. Okay, so I'm going to be the evil. I'm not a dickhead, but I'm not evil. No, you're not.

Speaker 1:

You're a fan of these characters, because you're excited to be a fan of these characters, because you are a fan of the characters. I understand this. I may gripe and I may whine, but I'm happy.

Speaker 2:

So, Jay the GM, I have an idea what Cherry bombs up to and white lightning and Citrus. Clive Max electric blue is new.

Speaker 1:

We can Yeah, that's still context role in the GPs now.

Speaker 2:

There isn't. But I was going to fall back on presence because this feels like right, right, and that's what I was going to do. I was just going to fall back on the presence check and then kind of gauge by the, the well most said body, by the core value, right, what kind of success we're looking at right? Who, who can you reach out to? Does that make sense?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it makes sense.

Speaker 2:

So I would say the higher the core value, the more trusted the contact. Right The core value, you're going to get some body right. But if it's low it's probably red eye right.

Speaker 1:

True right.

Speaker 2:

That feels totally fair. Right No core means you can't. We don't get anybody right, but we're liable to get somebody right.

Speaker 1:

Now this is a different setup because the value is five and it says base 2d6. So am I rolling a 3d6 or is there a different way? we, we suck strength and presence.

Speaker 2:

Yes, so strength, the value is the actual number of dice that you have. Okay, and same thing with presence, because those are five points per die and you start with two dice. Everything else is a value, not a die. Does that make sense?

Speaker 1:

So I have five die in presence, is that right?

Speaker 2:

It looks like eight is what I'm looking at. Oh no, i'm looking at it, never mind, wait, wait, where are you?

Speaker 1:

He has got more presence than the guy who was the spokesman. That's me. I've gotten crusty in my own. No, no, no.

Speaker 2:

Obie's got eight strength, he's got four dice. Oh snap, he is a beast. Yeah, he is a beast You have. So you want to look under new value, right, right? So you have your basic two dice in strength, but you do have five dice in presence.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, because if you look over to the total I can see you paid. we paid three points. We paid for three dice, which is 15 points, and that makes sense.

Speaker 1:

Yep, okay, cool, i'm using this fancy roll sheet you made. I've got the five dice in. I think there are no modifiers.

Speaker 2:

I think it's straight up right. Some of these folks we don't know where they are. We're calling old numbers. We know we can reach out to red eye. Let's see what kind of core value we get and feel it out from there.

Speaker 1:

I got to be hitting up Cherry bomb on her Insta like a private message on Insta, because I just imagine she's an Instagram kind of.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, oh yeah.

Speaker 1:

Six and a five.

Speaker 2:

So that's two, three, four, five, that's five core right, out of a maximum of two, four, six, eight, ten. So that's like 50%, right, so yeah, so I think we have some choices right. I think it's red eye or Cherry bomb that you reach out to and get a quick response from.

Speaker 1:

Awesome. I want to talk to Cherry bomb. Of course you do. You went to the effort of coming. Awesome takes. So I think you got a little bit of a vibe for the character and I'm excited about an opportunity to chat with her.

Speaker 2:

I also have. I think I don't know if I showed you my image of her, but I have it. Do I have it?

Speaker 1:

Well, I'm just going to picture of her, Oh you did.

Speaker 2:

Okay, cool, cool, i modeled her off of. Why can't I remember her name right now, from everything, everywhere, all the time?

Speaker 1:

Oh, michelle, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yes, michelle, yo, yes, Nice.

Speaker 1:

She's awesome.

Speaker 2:

Yes, so, yeah. So I think via Insta she replies and she's like well, hello there, ghosts.

Speaker 1:

Hey, it's been a long time. Sorry I haven't been around. You've been busy. I follow you.

Speaker 2:

You've been on the news. I've seen you.

Speaker 1:

Well, thanks, Listen. that got me on somebody's radar. My family's in trouble and I need help.

Speaker 2:

What do you, what do you need?

Speaker 1:

Just babysitting Shapechangers after my wife.

Speaker 2:

Oh, how much do you know about your wife And I think there's a pause there because she's trying to figure out right? How do I ask how much you know, right, without? it's the observer effect without? mountain you off right.

Speaker 1:

I know why he's after her.

Speaker 2:

He didn't finish the job. Did you run him off or did he walk away?

Speaker 1:

He walked away.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

You tell me makes not saying You kind of had me at a disadvantage, Right, If I pushed it he would have probably taken me down.

Speaker 2:

I didn't say any of that, there was three of them. She says, okay, you tell me where they're stashed and I'll keep an eye on the place.

Speaker 1:

I'll give her the hotel address and then the room number. When can you do this? Because I've got other stuff I have to take care of for Obi.

Speaker 2:

He's still alive.

Speaker 1:

For now.

Speaker 2:

I figured his powers would have killed him a long time ago. I can be on it tonight, okay, thank you. Who else have you told about this? Is this you and Obi?

Speaker 1:

It's me and Obi, not Red.

Speaker 2:

Eye, not Red Eye. All right, i know sometimes you two cross paths. He thinks I'm dead. I'd like to keep it that way.

Speaker 1:

That's smart, he's around Can you talk to him.

Speaker 2:

Hell, no, she said that's good. I know Obi has been taking payments from him, so he's doing some jobs. I don't know who else from the old crew, but that's Red Eye, right, he's running his grift and he doesn't like to get his hands too dirty.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's Red Eye.

Speaker 2:

All right, i'm on it.

Speaker 1:

You're the best. and then I'll go to a couple of her pictures and add likes, Add likes. Nice. Sit back to Obi. Okay, we just got to sit tight for a bit. Cherry Bomb is going to come Watch Sarah Mason and we go take care of your debt to Red Eye so you can be out of that entanglement.

Speaker 2:

Okay, That sounds good to me, but I thought we was going to work on your family thing first. aren't they more important?

Speaker 1:

They are for sure. But if you and I are going at this three-paying guy and Red Eye, shows up.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

I don't like to get that settled.

Speaker 2:

Okay, all right, i'm going to switch us out to the Jacksonville map.

Speaker 1:

Nice.

Speaker 2:

I had a little help to figure out where this warehouse is. Ooh fun.

Speaker 1:

I'm imagining some time passes. Nate and Nick go in hang out with the family. Maybe they go down to the hotel restaurant get a food bite to eat, that kind of thing. But they're mostly sticking around the hotel and not going anywhere if important.

Speaker 2:

Right, right, i think you know Cherry Bomb is on the scene. She's making a point not to. she will have eyes on your family but they won't know. they're being surveillance and watched, and right, she's a guardian angel. But you know she's there because a Cherry Red SUV pulls up into the parking lot.

Speaker 1:

Oh, I love it. It's a lot of mistakeable.

Speaker 2:

So you know she's present and brought her team and they're doing the job.

Speaker 1:

What do I know Cherry's into?

Speaker 2:

Let's make that a int check for perception. Okay.

Speaker 1:

All right, an int check. I'm really curious about this one.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, right, here we go.

Speaker 1:

So the refs will be make sure I've got it aligned to looks like new values 12. So I got to edit because I had 11 in there for some reason. Yeah, all right, here we go. Oh man, what's up with you? Dice Hello.

Speaker 2:

So I don't have her name for her. Let's name her now. What's her real name?

Speaker 1:

We could, because they were Michelle's too much of an homage. But we could name her. She could be like Maggie.

Speaker 2:

I like Maggie Cool, because I don't know what it's short for, but Maggie's usually short for something like Magdalena or I don't know. I like Maggie. Maggie's good. Oh, she's going to need a last name. We got to give her a last name.

Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:

It's going to make sense in a minute.

Speaker 1:

Oh cool, then let's, i don't want to go too on the nose. Let me find I know where I want to go. Give me a sec, because, maggie, i stole from a character who I adore or an actress who I adore, and there we go, i'm going to get the other person. All right, i'll give you two choices Mui M-U-I or Wong. Let's go with Wong Okay.

Speaker 2:

Let's go with Wong. Maggie Wong, yeah, maggie Wong. Forbes Magazine has named Maggie Wong CEO of the year, three years running. What Times Magazine right Times? is it times?

Speaker 1:

Times Magazine. Yeah, it's the times in Time.

Speaker 2:

Magazine Yes Has her as this year's tech woman of the year, so she's making things happen.

Speaker 1:

Man, what did that do in my life? to be a washed up?

Speaker 2:

Big guy.

Speaker 1:

She's just hung out with her Took notes.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and so remember, you failed this check. But yes, that is true, you can verify. That is true information. And I think she has several companies, kind of like Elon Musk does. He has several companies, but I think there's one big one And maybe it's Wong. I guess we got to go Wong Industries, cool, right, and then all the other ones are owned by that. Yeah, and I think one of her people, one of her agents, walks in, they're in civilian as a civilian closes, they could get, but they've got a Wong Industries kind of blazer on and it's got to learn a signal on it, right, but it's subtle, right, and this is meant to be their field blend in kind of uniforms And she says Ms Wong said to inform you that she is on the job, she'll be here till you get back, thank you. And then she hands you a cell phone That's got the Wong Industries logo on it, and then I got to make one of those, because I don't even know what that looks like.

Speaker 1:

Yes, the Wong Industries phone. Wong Industries phone sounds amazing, is it? oh, is it like one of those black phones, like an Android, or does she have her own OS?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think it is. I think it's probably a custom Android right. I think it's got red, cherry, red highlights or accents on it Very sharp right. Maybe even the logo is kind of some type of stylized cherry right. I don't know.

Speaker 1:

It's got some like, like I said, the apple is a cherry.

Speaker 2:

That's so cool, yeah, so yeah, And it obis like you found cherry bomb.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, she's surprised to find out you're still alive, man. Well, she said listen, she's staying away from red eye, So we're keeping that secret.

Speaker 2:

Okay, all right, all right. Well, let's go do this thing. I should drive That way.

Speaker 1:

I can duck out if I have to.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, all right, cool. So I don't know. Is Jacksonville Naval Air Station still active, do you know? Oh yeah, very much so.

Speaker 1:

They do. They do like air shows and stuff still.

Speaker 2:

All right, i think it may be, maybe on the outskirts of, or the perimeter or the fringe of where the Naval Air Station is is where this warehouse is Nice, so we're close to the St John's River.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I like it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking.

Speaker 1:

I'm on Google Maps trying to see where you're at.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, i on the roll map. I was thinking, well, that puts us back to the bridge. And actually, yeah, so maybe we scrap that. I don't want to be close to the bridge again. I actually know that works. That works out all right.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so, yeah. so I'm thinking somewhere in this area. Do you see that?

Speaker 1:

Ping it again. Ping it again.

Speaker 2:

I can probably do it in red Down around this area of the bridge just south of the Jackson Naval Air Station. Maybe it's under the bridge or Here we are.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I see it. I see it now.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. So I'm thinking, maybe close to the rivers, close to the river area, maybe under the bridge, but certainly south of the Naval Air Station, they might be taking advantage of some of the security of the Naval.

Speaker 1:

Air Station. Right at the bottom part of that red circle is the old dog track.

Speaker 2:

Oh, i like it. All. Right, that works, i like it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, done deal. So I think that's where Ooby takes you.

Speaker 1:

Nice. They actually had a big Greyhound giveaway before we moved out of Jacksonville when they closed down the track.

Speaker 2:

Oh, wow.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Pretty neat. That is pretty neat, Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I think he takes you there and there are some warehouse structures, Maybe they're storage structures, Maybe they were support or logistical for the track, and they're still standing there. But you can tell like the locks, the doors have been reinforced or kind of new. The lot itself looks like it's been used, not kept up clean, but has been in use. And Ooby says I've been keeping an eye on this place. Nobody's been in and out or anything. So once I ran off you know Red Ice Target I took a look around inside. It looks like an admin place upstairs. I had gone downstairs and through the rest of it, I don't know how big it is. He's saying this as you guys get out the car, walk over to the door And it's a keypad thing and he's getting ready to key and he says you want me to just open it?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, man Just open it.

Speaker 2:

All right, and he does. He keys it in and opens the door And it is. It's kind of like a prefab inside, half of, if we think because I don't have full plans if we think of a kind of a rectangular structure, prefab structure. Half of it is kind of office space, half wall cubicles, right, but the other half is kind of like a medical clean room kind of thing. It's even got a glassed off area right, separating that half from the admin, half right. A lot of the equipment in there is bagged right. It's got heavy plastic bags, canvas bags or whatever over it as if it was getting ready to be moved or whatever right, nothing's plugged in And he's fumbling for the lights and things like that.

Speaker 1:

Quick check in. I know he drove an Indian motorcycle normally. What do we ride up in?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think he's got. I'm looking out my window now. I think he's got like a pickup, like a ram 1500 pickup truck extended cab. Maybe it's six or seven years old, right Okay, But he's kind of handy, He keeps it running. But yeah, it's not brand new.

Speaker 1:

Sounds good, we can carry stuff. That was my.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that was thinking about that too. It makes more sense if you guys decide you're leaving with some things, right? Yeah, he said so. I just took a quick look around, took some pictures and then I hadn't mess with anything. I don't know what all this stuff is And I certainly didn't go in that lab over there. He finds light switch and he flips it and there's power in there and lights come on.

Speaker 1:

It's probably got that like that barking sound and then that low hum. Yeah like it's storage units smatting.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, there are no chairs on this side and the office side. A lot of the desk and tables are kind of built into the cubicle walls, right, so they're still there. Everything else is pretty much cleaned out, right. They're shelving and things like that, but they're also, like I said, they're part of the in-plan office structure, right? You got to pull all that shit out, right.

Speaker 1:

This looks like it's been stripped out pretty hard, Obea. I'm not sure what we're going to find in here, man.

Speaker 2:

No, in that lab, Look in that lab, there's a car in there. Let's go, let's go, let's go And that lab door is has a keypad on it and it is also locked, not as sturdy as the one outside. I think it's more like containment right Than anything else, like biological, chemical kind of containment, not physical containment. Does that make sense? Yeah?

Speaker 1:

That's a great sign biological containment.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, i was just. You know, i'm just trying to write nothing to be worried about. It's fine, but that door is locked and it also has a keypad and he's like I can try the same number I got, but I don't know. It might take me a minute to. I know mechanical things but I don't. I don't know if my numbers are working. I hadn't tried them.

Speaker 1:

Hold on, hold on, let's, let's, let's look around for a sec here. Yeah, let me see if I can collect enough dust to like spray it on the keypads, if we can lower down their fingerprints on certain numbers, nice.

Speaker 2:

Gotcha, that is nice, i like it. I like it.

Speaker 1:

He gathers up a bunch of dust into his hand. Comes out of the keypad and blows it. Your soft blows up. See if any of the fingerprints No, I like that so much.

Speaker 2:

I think that's, I think that works. I think that's good.

Speaker 1:

I think you do get a collection of prints right That would stand out more than the others, And it would be a surprise, cob, when you made fun of me for watching the bloodhound gang back in the day.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he's like. I thought that was a Hollywood thing, man.

Speaker 1:

Three, two, one contact baby.

Speaker 2:

Really that that actually works. What you got, I'm like this So four numbers out of what nine? What do you do now?

Speaker 1:

Okay, okay. Well, let's look at the keys, the number pad you got or any of those numbers out of sequence of what we see as our little heat map.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, And I would say they are. they are different numbers, right?

Speaker 1:

Okay, then we know that your numbers aren't going to work, so the choices are limited. We either new around here trying to find some idiot who put the password in their cubicle not likely, not. Like we risk that there is a lockout after a certain number of failed attempts And I just go with those numbers and as many combinations as I can bang out.

Speaker 2:

He kind of puts his hand on the door to feel how strong it is And he's like I can take it down.

Speaker 1:

I don't know if there's any Either way an alarm is going to go off if an alarm set up, so Maybe we do it the fastest way. This sounds like a really bad idea. You don't know what's in this. This looks like a biological containment, possibly.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Look around. Are there any hazmat suits or masks?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, if you take the time, there's. no, we don't need the rule for that. There are hazmat suits, there are.

Speaker 1:

All right, put this on. Let's do this.

Speaker 2:

Yes, there are hazmat suits.

Speaker 1:

OK, i mean it has met suit. That will last a couple seconds if I hit full speed, but it's here now.

Speaker 2:

Done, All right. So you, Yes, I think the next panel you guys are in those suits and he's looking at you and he's like you want me to take it down.

Speaker 1:

Before.

Speaker 2:

And he does. He gets his hands on the door You see him orange up a little bit, right, he just dismantles the door, nice and quiet, but, yes, right, and he just takes the whole door, sets it on the wall over there, right, no, loud sounds, no, yeah, no, everything is everything, right, nothing, nothing crazy, everything seems fine There now that that door has removed. There is a small now, and you can hear it. You can hear it before, or like tone sound, not heartbeat, but rhythmic, like that in the room, in the lab. Ok, and like I said, the lab side is half the size of this warehouse unit. Right, this little storage unit, maybe that's, i don't know 40 by 20, right, so 20 by 20 of this is the lab area.

Speaker 1:

OK, well, let's see if we can find any goodies in here.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, they are for sure. Big tower type computers, right? I have not. I work of laptops Mostly. I have a Mac mini, right, so I don't know what Linux or PC desktops look like these days. Are they still tower?

Speaker 1:

Right.

Speaker 2:

I'm so disconnected, right, i don't Right, i play games on my Xbox, right? My assumption is PC desktops are still tower systems. Yeah, all right, cool. So my thought is yeah, we've got some. We've got a couple right, high end, new, newish, within this year Tower boxes in here. Two of them are off, bagged up, look like they're ready to just be moved out. One is still on. The power is on. It's quiet though, right, fans not running, but you can see the lights are on. The power lights are on. There's some medical equipment, maybe some diagnostic stuff. Right Again, all bagged up cords, wrapped up stuff ready to go. You were going to say something.

Speaker 1:

I know, keep going, i got you, I got you. I'm really interested.

Speaker 2:

Interesting.

Speaker 1:

What's up? What else is here?

Speaker 2:

Some of some of these, some of this stuff is stacked right Because, like I said, most of the movable stuff, furniture is going. A lot of the diagnostic equipment is on top of what might be you have. You've seen, like deep freezers, right, we used to have, yeah, so about that size, about that high up off the ground, that is plugged in, it is on. There's a little motor running right And that's where the little rhythmic beep is coming from. Right, it's kind of got a cloth over it like a moving. We're getting ready to move this kind of wrapping cloth on it And then the other pieces of equipment are on top of that. Again, like I said, a lot of this kind of stage like we're coming back to get this, but they didn't, yeah.

Speaker 1:

All right, we know these towers can move and you're not hooked up to cause any trouble, and we get them out to the truck.

Speaker 2:

Yep, yep, yep.

Speaker 1:

And then he'll be like pick up the towers and nice, nice, nice Nice. In has my suit.

Speaker 2:

In has my suit Not breaking any sound barrier, because I don't want to Rattle off of me Nice, so you put the towers in the truck. Do you put some of the other medical equipment in the truck?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, Yeah, most stuff off before we start to mess with things that are hooked to power.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, more dangerous.

Speaker 2:

No, no, no, And it's quiet. No one's outside, assuming, if you guys took a look, there are no obvious cameras outside or inside the building, right? No little domes, no big right. Assume you guys look for that right.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so the medical equipment's in the truck, the towers that are not plugged in like I said, there's only one plugged in is not there, they're in the truck. Everything that's not plugged in and moveable, that ram truck will easily hold. So you're down to the tower machine, which is a Linux box, a Linux tower plugged in And that deep freeze kind of, with a moving drape, padding rug over top of it. All right, let's see what's in that freezer man.

Speaker 2:

You mean we're going to open it? What if there's something we don't want to see in there?

Speaker 1:

Can we close it again? What do you think's in here, man? What was this guy you were supposed to kill into? What's going on in this place?

Speaker 2:

So I don't know. This is where he ran to and I followed him here, right. Then we had a real talk and he's not. He's a scientist, he's a nerd. Right, he's into biology and science stuff, right? He's not some killer guy that Red Eye told me and made him out to be. Red Eye told me what I needed to hear to end this guy, but when I had the conversation, that's not who that guy was, so I cut him loose. I don't know why Red Eye wanted him dead.

Speaker 1:

You think why he wanted him dead might be in this freezer.

Speaker 2:

Oh, that's a good point, all right. And I think he pulls the padded rug moving drape thing off the top And the whole thing's kind of circular round capsule, like right. So for the folks at home, the audience, i wish you could see Richard's face and his heavy size Come editing time. I can push up the sighing so you could hear it.

Speaker 1:

This is not good. This is a terrible idea.

Speaker 2:

I think Obi looks at you right, because there are no markings, no, nothing on the outside right, just that little beeping sound and the plug in the wall and the tower running over there. That is it. But there are handles that you could just grab And I think it's two compartments right, two doors. There's a short door and, of course, the longer door, and you can open either one right.

Speaker 1:

Okay, i'm going to open one of the doors. It can push Obi back just a little bit because I can duck out of the way of anything, right, and now they're going to explode up out of me but out at me. But you know, it's still the thought that goes through my head. Yeah, i'm going to very gently, cautiously, open this thing up.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, this is our cliffhanger, because now I got to go to music lessons. We turn to that last page and it's a big panel, right, and you open one of the I'm going to. You open the top panel, right Of the top door, the shorter, and we're looking at a frozen kind of yeah, frozen status version, status version of citrus climax in this thing. Right, they're, they're, they're in their costume. We're looking at their face. So, if they had a face, part that's not on them, but we recognize the citrus climax costume They are. Yeah, i think they've got some type of device, maybe it's a breathing. You know how they put a breathing device in. Yeah, so I think we've got one of those in their mouth. Right, the eyes are closed. There might be some diagnostic thing wired up on the top of their head. Right, they are in stasis in this thing. Crazy, that is the panel. Yes, that's a great panel. That's a great panel. All right, that's the cliffhanger, right.

Speaker 1:

That is the cliffhanger.

Speaker 2:

Okay, okay.

Speaker 1:

We're going to leave it right there.

Speaker 2:

You're right for me to do a thing I was pausing because my, my cliff was hung.

Speaker 1:

I was hanging over a cliff. Oh man, all right, man, you have a good night, i will see you next week, man, i'll see cliffhanger.
