The Importance of Play for Children with Autism & Neurodiversities
Nov 09, 2022 Episode 110

Ange Anderson (all the way from Wales, UK) joins us on the show today to share her expertise about the importance of play for children who have Autism and other neurodiversities.

Ange specializes in therapeutic and technological interventions and innovations for those who are neurodivergent in schools and  for families in UK.

If that wasn’t enough, Ange has written books about those therapies and technologies as well as constantly writing articles and papers related to therapeutic and technological interventions. She has established a website and a YouTube channel and will respond to parents who ask her to do a video or blog on a specific topic that they wish to know more about.

Listen in as we discuss:

  • Why play is so important for neurodivergent children
  • DIR that Ange used in schools
  • Sensory profiles

You can connect with Ange on her website angeandersontherapeutic.co.uk

If you are looking for a Sensory Profile to use with your students, check out the one I have on TPT.  A Sensory Diet is a carefully designed, personalized daily schedule of sensory enriched activities, equipment and strategies used to help a child feel calm, stay alert and be organized throughout the day.
