Sped Teacher Small Talk: The Role of Impact Statements in IEPs
Aug 02, 2023 Episode 135
Jennifer Hofferber - Special Education Instructional Coach

It was my turn to break the rules this week and forego the spinner in order to choose the topic Paul and I discussed.

What did I choose? Impact Statements

Also known as adverse effects, this section of the IEP often gets minimal focus despite its immense importance.

Listen in as Paul and I examine the reasons why these statements are crucial and discuss how writing stronger impact statements can lead to more effective and individualized support for students with special needs.

We uncover the hidden potential of impact statements and learn how they can be a powerful tool in empowering education and fostering student success.

Writing individual impact statements based on a student’s unique disability  and needs can be a big struggle AND a big time suck.! And in case you haven't noticed...extra time is not something you have a lot of.

My
IEP Impact Statements Growing Bundle will give you  the resources you need to make writing impact statements a breeze.
