Carter Cast is Clinical Professor of Entrepreneurship at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. He is also an operating partner at Pritzker Group Venture Capital and a senior advisor at Pritzker Group Private Capital. Carter was formerly CEO of Walmart.com, founding chief marketing officer of Blue Nile, Inc. and director of marketing at Frito Lay. He is the author of the book, The Right (and Wrong) Stuff: How Brilliant Careers are Made – and Unmade.

We connected with Carter as we share a common passion for developing talent and wanted to learn more about the ideas and advice he developed in his book The Right (and Wrong) Stuff.  We talk about Carter's own career journey, how and why talented people experience career derailment, the importance of feedback and how students are supported in their journey toward a fulfilling career.
