In 2010, Heather Francis changed her life by completing her PhD in medical sciences and embarking on a new journey that would lead her to be an internationally acclaimed scientific researcher. Over 20 years of developing expertise in hepatology has taken her around the world and introduced a new love and appreciation of food. However, with her recent move to Indianapolis, she is still searching for a perfect "West Texas" taco. On this episode, Dr. Francis discusses how food can help or harm our livers, how intelligent and underrated the liver is, and ways that we can be more mindful of what we consume to improve our gastro-health.
