The Charlotte Region has added nearly 400,000 people since 2010. Nearly 150,000 of those in the Charlotte city limits elevating the city to 15th largest in the U.S., passing San Francisco, according to Census Bureau data released last week. To find out what that really means Alliance SVP of Economic Research Chuck McShane talked with Brian Landes, JLL’s Carolinas Director of Research, and Ely Portillo, Assistant Director at the UNC Charlotte Urban Institute.  The conversation covered why cities like Charlotte are resilient through crises, why suburbs and small towns in the region continue to grow, and why millennial marketing isn’t just about breweries anymore.
