Just Another Podcast (Hangin With Wang)
To those who have been with us since the beginning - welcome back - and to those who are joining us for the first time - thank you for stopping by!
This is season 2 of the podcast, as we undergo a branding change - going from 'Hangin With Wang' to 'Just Another Podcast' featuring my broadcast partner and longtime friend, Jackson Heiden.
On 'Just Another Podcast' we take a deep dive into the world of sports and all of the wacky/weird storylines surrounding the games we follow and love - including an in-depth look at our lives as sports broadcasters and the people that make it all possible.
Unfortunately, in a world filled with laptops and cheap recording equipment, everyone and their grandmother has a podcast. So give us a listen, and see why 'Just Another Podcast' is so much more than just another podcast.
Just Another Podcast (Hangin With Wang)
Episode 68 - All-Time Congressional Baseball Game
Welcome back to the Hangin' With Wang Podcast. I'm Nate Wangler, alongside my broadcast partner Aj Mohr as we get set for one of the biggest showdowns in baseball history as the all-time Republicans square off against the all-time Democrats.
In a showdown for the ages (with some extracurricular activities), the Dems and Republicans throw down for bragging rights.
1:32-10:47: Scene setter and lineups - Aj and Wang break down both teams and what to expect from both teams. Wang also explains a late scratch to the Democrats lineup.
12:47-15:49: Benches-clearing brawl after a pitch high and tight to Ben Shapiro.
19:58: Hillary Clinton flashing the leather.
25:07: Rachel Maddow hits a bombski to put the Democrats up 1-0 in the first inning.
30:33: William Howard Taft with the miraculous catch falling over the dugout railing.
31:36: We skip forward to the top of the ninth inning tied at 5-5. Andrew Jackson takes the bump for the Democrats to try and maintain the 5-5 lead heading into the ninth inning.
33:12: Taft hits a moonshot to left field to push the Republicans in front 6-5.
36:36: Bottom of the ninth inning, Richard Nixon takes the mound for the Republicans looking to slam the door.
39:15: Candace Owens robbing a game-tying home run.
40:52: Diane Feinstein ropes a single back up the middle to reach first base with the Democrats down to their final out.
41:58: Anderson Cooper delivers a two-run walk-off home run to down the Republicans in heartbreaking fashion, 7-6.
