In these unprecedented uncertain times, we need a strong consolation, a firm assurance to give us peace, peace that comes from knowing God has us firmly in his grip. Message: The man who had to be sure
Reading: John 20: 24-29
Paul discusses Thomas, the disciple who didn't believe that Jesus was alive.
The other disciples didn't believe it either at first
Paul explains that accepting the Gospel requires our minds as well as our hearts to be engaged. Being honest about our doubts strengthens us.
He also explains why this passage demonstrates how we should support those who are unsure.
