A New Year's Resolution for the Tired

Everybody begins the new year by talking about New Year's resolutions. They resolve to lose weight, quit smoking, or get in shape. It is a time of year when optimism abounds in regard to making big changes in your life.

But there are many people who hear all of the commentaries at new year's regarding making resolutions, and they say, "Bah, Humbug." And the reason they say that is because they have tried the resolution route many times with many failures; no real change followed.

Today I am going to propose a new year's resolution for those people; for the tired. And I am proposing it based on the Scripture passage in Psalm 139: 23-24.

"Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."
