Six times in Genesis one God calls His creation "good." Then after He creates humankind He looks over all His creation and calls it "very good."
So what happened? If we look around at the world today, with its weather extremes and catastrophes, if we consider humankind and his depravity, selfishness and violence against the world and against other humans, we find that we cannot call it "very good." In fact, it is often "very bad."
