If the Church is what it supposed to be, it will be controversial. That is what we learn from Paul's letter to the church in Thessalonica. They received the Word of God preached to them and God changed their lives.

There you have the two things that make true Christianity controversial; we believe the Bible to be God's Word, and we live our lives by it.

And the world hates that.
