SPEAKER_03:

What is that sound you hear? What do you hear? What do you mean? I don't hear any of those cowbells ringing anymore from Star Vegas.

SPEAKER_07:

I hear you, man. But hey, they were loud out there, man. I I watched it on TV and I felt it through the TV, man. And they were effective, man. So we had a couple of uh false starts because of us.

SPEAKER_03:

Hey, Mississippi State has great fans, football, baseball, and they make it uh really good atmosphere. And that was it's scary, good. That was an AI produced um video music. I mean, you saw the random shot of Tom Brady. He he didn't play for Mississippi State or Texas, but that that was well done. Well done. Um and we're gonna learn a lot about what what this does for Texas. The tough month of October. Um, and we're gonna dive into it as we bring on the playmaker. And if you weren't aware, I'm Sean Clinch, the co-host of Pass Russell, Stevie Lee. That is Stevie Lee right there. Stevie, sum up in a few words your thoughts as you've had two sleeps past Saturday night. Sum up what happened.

SPEAKER_07:

Um one uh great phenomenal fourth quarter. Um, still think that we never should have been in that situation that we were in, but we found ourselves there. It was grit and conditioning and strength that's got us out of that. Um out of that uh out of that uh town with a win. Out of that stadium with a win. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03:

It's a good win, and for all those haters out there, regardless of what team you're for, I I hate the thing, oh, the cupcakes, you play the cupcake uh no longer. Hey, the month of October is tough for any team when you don't play at home, and the month of November is tough for everybody because you're chasing something. That's what I want people to remember. It doesn't matter who you're playing, the tough month of November is very tough. But if during tough times, you need to go see our guy, Dave Ramirez, for all beverages that you may or may not need Northwest Hills Liquor, phenomenal place, smaller, but they do all the things that the big guys do, where you're a guest, not a customer. Be sure to tell Dave Ramirez you are a fan or a family member of the Man Cave, if you will. Stevie, give a shout out. We love our sponsors, but I love it when you give a shout out to Hardgrove Roofing.

SPEAKER_07:

Big shout out to Har Grove Roofing. Thank you for sponsoring this podcast. Um, from my hometown, Shreep, Louisiana, Hardgrove Roofing, know who's on your roof.

SPEAKER_03:

Know who's on your roof. And I think that we just need to get going. Are you ready? Let's ride. Let's ride, baby.

SPEAKER_13:

So when I coached, he ripped me before the fun return before that. I cut it up. He was like, nah, take the ball to the wall. And all I did was trust him. I took the ball to the wall and it just opened up for me.

SPEAKER_03:

Ryan Nibblet, he's found his niche, he's found his spot. I love seeing players develop and find their role on the team. That is two big ones here in in the past few weeks, and to get through that month of October. For him, what does he mean in your mind, Stevie, moving forward in this tough month of November that's about to start for the Longhorns?

SPEAKER_07:

Hey man, he got my vote for um special teams player of the year already. So um, but no, it he every time he uh touches the ball as a punt returner, it can magic can happen. So I love his uh field awareness, uh, how quick his feet are. He was stopping and going. And uh as soon as he hit the sideline, you can't stop him. So um he he is definitely a spark for this team when he touches the ball. And I'm uh I can't wait to see at the end of the year what his final numbers will be because we had some phenomenal punt returners back in our day, you know, too. So but uh this kid uh is coming up clutch when Texas need him. So um I think that uh Sark needs to also find another way of getting the ball in his hand. He just has great field awareness in the open field.

SPEAKER_03:

He's got Mike Adams speed. Yeah, no question, maybe a little more, but uh think about this. You know how ESPN has their percentages during a game of a chance of winning late third quarter, and before the nibblet magic occurred and start Bill, uh Texas had 1.4 chance to win. To win.

SPEAKER_07:

Yeah, yeah, you know, so I can get on my excuse me, I can get on my soapbox about um analytics and what the computers tell you to do and things like that. The computer probably told uh Mississippi State to go forward on fourth and three, and they did and gave us the ball right back. The computer was wrong, right? And um, so you know, don't sometimes you just need to see what's in front of your eyes. We had momentum, and I I I doubted it. Like I was upset where we were, but I knew that we could come back just because the heart and soul of this football team, they worked really hard with Tory Becton, and I know that they are conditioned. For me, we won that game off of conditioning because we we were still fresh and strong. They were tired of being beat up on all game, all game, and then they just folded like like that song said, folded like a Sunday shirt, like a Sunday dress shirt. They folded for short.

SPEAKER_03:

That's what happened, and you know, I can't wait, as always, every week, to hear from the playmaker83 himself. But before we get to him, be sure to follow us on each of our social media platforms and subscribe for free to the stories inside the man cave podcast page. How are you doing, brother?

SPEAKER_15:

Doing good, gentlemen. What's going on?

SPEAKER_03:

Man, we're just uh marinating on so much. Longhorns and Sark had their press conference today, and you know, everyone is still talking about uh what what occurred and obviously the big win, but there's so many things to talk about with you, but we gotta bring this up. It's just Sark addressing the rumors. We we addressed it on our Instagram live yesterday, but I guess we'll before you I I loved what you said yesterday, and in case people uh missed on missed out on that, this is Sark after um the Mississippi State win addressing the rumors um about him possibly going to the NFL after the season.

SPEAKER_10:

It really pisses me off that one person can make a report that in turn the entire media sports world runs with as faction. To the point of my agency and my agents have to put a statement out that they never have done. Historically, CAA, Jimmy Sexton, and Ed Manowitz have never done that. But I had to do that to protect my locker room and my team.

SPEAKER_03:

All right, so so many people, we've all seen it and many times, but it may I I hate to that it's kind of still there. What's your feeling on that? And then Diana Rossini, she's a respected journalist, guys, and I have a problem. She's not going to be doing anything, releasing any information report without really verifying through her sources.

SPEAKER_15:

That's that's correct, man. I mean, I've seen her and watched her on ESPN throughout the years, and um usually when she puts things out there, there's there's some some some some truth to it on some kind of level. While it may not be a hundred percent true, I mean, you know, there there could be some conversations and maybe it was just an early leakage and that was somewhat of an accident, but you said it, uh the fact that it's still kind of out there, uh, you know, where there's smoke, there's fire.

SPEAKER_03:

Right. Stevie, what what's your thoughts? Man, well now that we had we talked about it yesterday, it is kind of old news now, and I respect what Sark said and how he handled it, and he jumped on it. Do you still think that there's something there?

SPEAKER_07:

Well, um, yeah, I think it's but I'm not sure it's um enough there, I guess should I say. Okay, right? Like um yeah, one person said it at the bottom of her article and took that little piece right there and put it into a headline on uh on X. Um I I there there may be something there, and then but Sark is right, only one person reported this. If it's um if it was more there, then a lot of outlets would have picked other outlets would have picked it up. So that's a good point. That's a good point. So yeah, it is it may be something there. Let's finish out this season and see what happens, you know. So we'll see.

SPEAKER_15:

Yeah, and and and honestly, I mean, came out, he put out a statement. Yep, he I mean, I I don't know exactly if he said there's nothing there or it isn't true, but the fact that he talked about it, and you know, I'm I'm gonna take him at his word. I mean, you know, until he comes out and says, Yes, this is what happened, and you know, I'm just gonna bear on the side of is one person's reporting, and I'm just gonna leave it at that.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, and and I'll I'll end it with this. I will say this. What she here's what I think has happened. She is in, has good relationships with a lot of just reporters. You you do your due diligence uh with NFL front office executives. I guarantee you, without being 100%, I'm almost positive that she had conversations with the front office of uh the NFL or maybe the Tennessee Titans, and that was relayed to her. And doing your due diligence means you call the individual involved their people, meaning Sark's agent or agency. So maybe something was leaked on both sides. That's just where I think is a good stopping point because uh we're never going to find out more until the timing is right. Hey, the big news, and we kind of knew it. It was uh it looked awful. Arch Tough has taken well over 60, 70 plus hits this year um on that long run late in the game. Uh he is in fact in concussion protocol. Stevie, um I don't know. We don't know how long he could he could play against Vanderbilt Saturday, but uh from what I'm seeing, what I'm thinking, you might as well have a plan B. Ready to go.

SPEAKER_07:

Yeah, I think that um, yeah, I think you know, concussion protocol, you don't you don't play with your head, your brain. You don't only get one and um and they can't repair it either. So um I think that he should um really take care of himself, go through this protocol, and you know, let's just see what Caldwell can do. Yeah, um, and now he has a whole week to prepare uh and get into the game plan, and Sark can put a game plan together for his skill set, and uh and let's see what what what we got. But you know Vanderbilt is no uh no no slouch though. We gotta actually come with it.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah. Mike, did you if I remember right, you you went you were in concussion protocol once while you were at Texas, right?

SPEAKER_15:

Well, they didn't even have concussion protocol. I was just about to say that I I do remember getting a concussion twice, once in the game, again, my freshman year against TCU. Dole for a pass. I didn't get hit, but I dove for a ball and my my chin hit the ground. I came to the sideline. Man, I didn't know where I was, didn't know where I was. I just remember talking to our old time, you know, uh trainer Spanky. And he he he he said, You okay? I was like, Man, I don't know where am I, and that's when he it hit him that I might be concussed, and he gave me three words to remember. I just remember they were like fog, fox, and and wheelbarrow. But I didn't remember them five minutes later when he came back to me, you know. So I guess that was the the protocol back in the day, man. And I went back in the game after about 20 minutes, but I do know I was foggy on a punt return. I didn't know I I couldn't really feel myself, it was kind of deemed as a mild concussion. But yeah, today, man, like Stevie said, they're not gonna play around with that. I I mean there's gonna be some serious steps that Arch is gonna have to clear in order to get back on the field before he can even practice. And we really don't even know how serious it was, only they know. So until we really get some of that information, man, and I hope it wasn't severe, but watching Arch get up and needing help and kind of staggering as he was walking to the sideline, I'm on the side of uh you know, smart money that he probably doesn't play this week.

SPEAKER_03:

That's I would put money on that. He sits this one out. Um, and that leads us to this. And uh go to our Twitter page. I've got a graphic with that pertaining to the comeback from early on in the fourth quarter, all the way through over time. What transpired the defensive and offensive numbers, go to at stories man cave and our Instagram page and Facebook page, and you'll see that graphic that I'm talking about, something to have a conversation about. But that leads us to what both of you have mentioned the the the QB2 legend now, uh Caldwell. He's getting his opportunity. And after the game, man, he's talking about obviously what arch means to that QB bro.

SPEAKER_01:

He played a freak he played his freaking tail off tonight, y'all. So I mean, all adversity he goes through. I mean, getting banged up, and he comes to work every day, and then he goes out there and uh leads us into it and overtime, and then you know, like I I told him downstairs, like I wish he was what were you thinking when we went out there? I was like, Man, I wish you could have finished it after what you played. But um, I told him, you know, I had his back, and but we have an awesome relationship. Everybody, all the Qs in the Q room have a great relationship. We have a super fun room, and we just push each other.

SPEAKER_03:

All right, Stevie. We've had some in a lot of programs experiences. The backup quarterbacks may be the best position to play. I know we've seen like Chance Mock come in for uh Vincent and beat Tack. Uh, and we've seen it in other years. But what he did, I know it was just one pass, but man, he has a great opportunity, assuming Arch isn't going to play Saturday.

SPEAKER_07:

So huge opportunity for him, and he just needs to seize his opportunity. Um this could be really, really good for him. And then in this new football era, right? It could be really good for him that he can turn over and be QB1 at the University of Texas, but he can also get some good film out there for his future. Um, you know, so he can I hate to say it, but he's he's also auditioning for another role to be QB1 somewhere else. Yeah, you know. So um this is a whole new wild, wild west of college football, man. And I and I don't know if I like and entirely like it because I don't like what I just said, but it's it's just a reality right now.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, Mike, what not to go back in history, but when you when you we've seen him now in two significant moments where Caldwell has come into games, right, and he doesn't look he just looks like he's been there before. Because he has, as a starter in other programs. I mean, from your trained eye, what do you see in this kid?

SPEAKER_15:

Well, I mean, experience, true experience, real experience. Like he's been a starter. I mean, at a good program of Troy. I mean, I mean, so he he, you know, there's reason Sark and Bunch went out and got him in the offseason. I do believe he's a fifth-year guy, so I'm not sure he has any more eligibility left unless he goes the grant grad transfer route. But um, like Stevie said, man, I mean, he's he's auditioning either for the NFL or potentially a grad transfer opportunity. And uh the dude, you can tell he's calm. I mean, I I like the interview that that that we saw. I mean, he he seems to come in and you know, under two stressful situations, you know, in which he came in against Florida and this situation here to where he's pretty much cold the entire game and had to come in and make a throw. One of those being uh, you know, he he checked the route to the receiver to uh Mosley and put him on a kind of a fade ball, and just to kind of have that wherewithal, he's obviously savvy and he's not afraid. So yeah, he has some great attributes that you'd want to see in QB1, for sure, QB two, which the guy is has been a QB1 before. So I I think uh it's a bonus for Texas man, and you know, he has a chance to really put himself down in uh you know long horn lore because honestly, we don't know when Arch is coming back. I I mean his situation may be so bad, you know, Caldwell might have to go out there and go play between the hedges next week, or even Arkansas two weeks from now. So we really don't know the situation. We're gonna find out here, though, pretty soon.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, that this is a very, very tough month. Three of the four opponents are in the top nine, beginning with Vanderbilt. This this game right here, I mean, people can criticize and and and and and downplay Vanderbilt, but these guys are legit playoff contenders. I mean, obviously, number nine when you're entering the month of November is significant, but it it all begins with that quarterback and and Diego Pavia. He was asked recently about does he honestly believe that he can win the Heisman? We can all we can all all predict what he said, and this is what he how he responded.

SPEAKER_08:

First off, hell yeah, believe it. You know, um, we just got to keep winning football games. And you know, I feel like the schedule that we got, obviously, it's a difficult schedule playing in the SEC. You'll play a lot of ranked teams.

SPEAKER_03:

All right. He he's high's been hype. Are you guys buying it?

SPEAKER_07:

Am I buying it? Yeah, yeah, I think I am. Uh he's good. He's a good football player. Yeah, he's a good football player, and uh obviously he got some swag at the up there on the podium. His hat said two turn. I love that. Uh, but no, he got some swag. He he's marketable. Um and he's playing football at a very high level right now. He has Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt, historically, not good, just a bunch of smart kids trying to play football. Yeah, now they're a bunch of football players that are smart now. So uh, so it's it that they they got something, they got something going on up there, and um, you know, I'm a long horn, I'm gonna always be a long horn. We gotta come in here and play this game this week against Vandy. Against Vandy. We gotta we gotta come out with a good scheme, we gotta come out on fire and quick because these guys are they're good, they're good, bottom line.

SPEAKER_03:

Hey, Mike, look at this is for you. This is these are Pavious numbers. I mean, he has over 2100 combined yards, that's rushing, throwing, and 20 combined TDs. That's that's deserving to be a Heisman finalist at this point in the season.

SPEAKER_15:

Well, and honestly, I was just sitting here thinking his numbers really aren't what we've seen from Heisman Candidates before. Like he he's not a 3,000, 4,000 yard passer, like we've seen some Heisman winners do you know 40 or 50 touchdowns. Like he doesn't have dual threat numbers like a Cam Newton per se, right? Right, or even a Johnny Manzel. But here's where I think, like he said, if they keep winning, and clearly he means more to that team. You know, his presence alone and his playmaking ability means more than the actual numbers. We he could be the first guy to win the Heisman to where his numbers don't really stack up to what we've seen in the past historically. I mean, I mean, there's no no denying his importance to his football team. Come on, man, we're talking about Vanderbilt, one of the worst uh teams historically in college football that we've seen, along with Indiana. And he's got those guys in the national championship conversation. No, that that's uh I mean, he he's changed the entire culture of what we thought of Vanderbilt football or what we knew Vanderbilt football was in the past. I mean, I mean, I mean, it's Pavio Mania. I mean, I mean, the guy, you know, he he's got it turned down there like his hat said. I mean, completely different. I mean, it is Nashville is turned upside down, it's not just known for for music anymore. I mean, I mean, I mean, it's it's known for Pavio Mania now, and you've become a cultural phenomenon, man, and that kind of stuff alone warrants him being in the conversation. He keeps winning, he's probably gonna be in New York.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, that's what I say. And if it'll now, if something were to happen to him, he gets injured, the same thing will happen to Vanderbilt that happened to Florida State two years ago.

SPEAKER_15:

Oh yeah, oh yeah.

SPEAKER_03:

The committee knows that if he goes down, the chances are greater against them continuing. Would you be the same team without Diego Pavia? And the answer is no. But here's one fact this is a, in my opinion, a CFP at large elimination game, especially for Texas.

SPEAKER_15:

I think so. I think so. I mean, we're we're sitting on the you know, we're not even ranked top 20. We're we're ranked 22nd, and if we lose this game, that essentially, you know, could possibly put us out of the top 25. And even if we were to go on and win a few games down the road, I mean, we might get close to getting back up there, but it it'd be very, very difficult. Uh, you know, Vanderbilt, I mean, they're on the fringe. I mean, they're they're in the top 12, you know, sitting at eight or nine, I believe, number nine. Yeah, but um if we beat them, you know, that that's that's huge for us, and you know, possibly knocks them down a pick because they they have a couple teams that are behind them, right on their heels, and they still gotta play Tennessee. So, so they're they're not out of the woodworks by any means.

SPEAKER_03:

Stevie, for both of you, I I know it's hard for both of you to admit this, but uh, I've got to say it, man. These are I just took two clips, but Texas AM, and you guys both know you played on teams which especially 1996 for you, Mike. When you start winning, it's like an avalanche, it just gets the momentum going. And I know you can edit things to make them fit your narrative. This is not an narrative what they did in Baton Rouge.

SPEAKER_02:

Read rolling out, and one of the lockdown fields takes off.

SPEAKER_03:

All right, I I have criticized AM's defense, and I'm starting to see some improvement to go along with that. Marcel Reed, potent offense, Stevie. I mean, are you are you seeing the same, or are you still questioning maybe AM's defense to carry them through?

SPEAKER_07:

No, I'm not. AM played a uh a complete game this this week and got the coach fired. Um I I I I hate to say it, but I like what they're doing on the field, man. Uh, they ran um you know damn near a hundred drunk Cajuns out of their own stadium, you know. I I I don't like to uh say nice things about AM because I'm a longhorn, but you gotta hat off to them, man. They they played a complete game. That defense is it's pretty good. It's it's pretty good. And um it's um the the numbers that they're putting up, uh I had it up right now and and I they just went away. But anyway, but that they're just they're it's a good football team all around right now. They're good.

SPEAKER_03:

Hey, Mike, you'll like this. So Elko, yeah, obviously he's a ball coach. He he's he's he's strictly football, he's not this guy who's going to go around. He he prefers just to coach ball. Uh a media member asked him a question and said that uh under Brian Kelly, um that they were 20 and one at night in Baton Rouge, and Elko had to correct them.

SPEAKER_14:

They're 20 and one under BK in 1920, so it's hard to win here, obviously. 2. 22 now. I apologize.

SPEAKER_03:

This is the man knows the stats, and he he he that was his little not shade, but he definitely knew what he was. They were going up against and and man, I haven't seen AM play that way on the road in a long time.

SPEAKER_15:

Man, I mean that win is uh this past Saturday night is probably even more impressive than the win they had at Notre Dame earlier in the year, which is which is a tough place to play. I mean, lost there myself in '95. Uh I mean and them, man, and and you know, prior to us talking about them, I mean, uh watching the clip, guys are dancing, having fun. Honestly, I think they've gotten back to this point. They've made some philosophical changes. And really, what I mean by that is because they had a uh a previous quarterback there who who they thought was better than what he really was. And Marshall Reed, they they they finally gave him the opportunity to kind of show his stuff. And you know, really since Johnny Manzel, they probably haven't had another quarterback there like him with similar type of skill set. And look where it's gotten. When they've made their decision up, they've made their mind up that they're gonna have you know certain types of players that bring a certain type of skill set and let those guys actually go out there and play. Look at them, they're top three. In some people's eyes, they're the best team in the country. The defense has always been good. I mean, I think they've gotten back to the wrecking crew years, and they're playing with a lot of swag right now, man. A very uh quiet confidence. I don't even hear their fans, they're they're there's a quiet even talking. It's like business straight ahead. They're not gonna jinx this thing. You know, they they pretty much wrapped up a playoff spot, man. I mean, they got one of the best schedules in the country. Uh and them looks good. I mean, I I can't even hate at this point. They they look good, you know. I I look forward to seeing those guys Thanksgiving weekend because I because I do think that is a hurdle that they need to clear. I remember the AM team last year for Thanksgiving, and man, they didn't look so hot, and we dominated them. So, so that's that's what's stuck in the back of my head, and that's gonna be there when they come in to Austin.

SPEAKER_03:

Hey, and and you guys both mentioned it when you help escort another coach out of town. I mean, there's video of Brian Kelly at 5 a.m. loading up his car outside of the LSU football complex, yeah, from his office. Stevie, I I have never we've mentioned this. I can't believe the trend is here. What do you make of this? Because they they owe him 54 million dollars. He will make that, but I'll go through the list again: Arkansas, Colorado State, Florida, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, Penn State, Virginia Tech, UAB, UCLA, and now LSU with these mid-season. I maybe I'm old school, but or you can say I want to help recruiting, but also letting go of your coach mid-season that can hurt recruiting. Am I wrong?

SPEAKER_07:

Um, yeah, it it's both ways, man. You can you can help it by the rumors saying that uh the one coach is coming. I don't know, man. It's it is tough trying to finish out a season with a new new coach. I I've never gone through that. Um may have you ever gone through a coaching change like that? Nah, no, my coach was with me the whole time I was in college. Yeah, me too. So I only coaching change I went through was um we got rid of Bull Reese and uh hired uh rest in peace. Yeah, rest in peace, bull reese, and then we hired uh Greg Robinson. Rest in peace, Greg Robinson. So um uh and Greg came in and did a great job. Him and Dick Tomey came in together. Rest in peace, Dick Tomey. Damn man. Uh so so yeah, so it was uh that's my coaching change, but it was a it was I loved Coach Reese still to this day. Uh, but it was a good change for our uh program uh defensively. But changing in the middle of the season like that, I've never gone through that. I can't imagine what those that locker room is going through, but you know, something did have to change. Brian Kelly, he um he never looked inward, uh and so he always you know almost blamed other people for his downfalls, you know. So I think that rubbed a lot of people the wrong way.

SPEAKER_03:

Very sensitive, very sensitive. Yeah, yeah, he is. So we're gonna reel it in back at home, and then we'll end uh with the part with Mike on the Playmaker 83 analysis, uh, with the subject you guys love to talk about. Uh back here at home, one of the best to ever play quarterback in the history of football finally had his jersey number retired at his high school alma mater.

SPEAKER_12:

I've always said this, and it's the absolute truth. One of my greatest big achievements, memories is winning the state championship like here, but still high school.

SPEAKER_04:

It still feels like game day for me.

SPEAKER_03:

That's pretty cool. But like Travis put a whipping on Westlake uh right after that. Um, but Westlake's still a great program, great team. Um, it just blows my I don't know, Mike. I don't know. You you were more in tune with the high school side. Why do you I just why do you think it took so long? It just seems like I don't know. I don't know, I don't know about the dynamics behind all that.

SPEAKER_15:

Man, it could be a number of reasons. It it could be you know, the coach, whoever it is at the time, you know, making something like that happen. I mean, obviously the player has no control over that, but but the coach, if he's you know cognizant of you know, such players like a Drew Brees or somebody like that, I mean, they they can make that happen. I mean, I I say it joke jokingly, I'm waiting on my coach to retire my high school jersey, kind of dragging their feet on that deal. But but it's it's just stuff like that that's in play. I mean, and Drew has been off and and you know, doing some things, and it could be a timing issue. They they may have wanted to do it a long time ago, but um, I'm glad it was able to happen for him. Man, I mean, he's a great player, obviously, great quarterback, Hall of Famer, and you know, one of the guys that my my son looks up to as a quarterback, and you know, being from Austin. I mean, I mean, Drew really kind of set the stage for a lot of quarterbacks out of Austin, man. Um, you know, getting the opportunity around the country, go play football and and and go to the NFL.

SPEAKER_03:

I mean, a long list of Westlake quarterbacks. You go back, you got I'm just naming a few. Obviously, Sam Ellinger, Nick Foles. Uh there's so many great quarterbacks, and it's a legacy. And the same thing at Lake Travis, but yeah, you're right. Breeze got it started, and there have been some good quarterbacks. The the the the pedigree, I mean, Todd Dodge, uh, Derek Long, uh Coach Schrader, uh all those coaches. They is something in the DNA there. It creates so shout out to Westlake, Drew Breeze, and his family, his dad chip. Uh, he's a he's a character, but uh it's it's just it's amazing to see it. And and I don't I want to know what he's doing. He hasn't aged at all. At all. Guy. Hey, we can't let MA get out. A lot of people don't know this. He's a big Yankees fan, and and Stevie loves baseball too. But we're in the World Series. Uh the Dodgers Blue Jays. We don't have to say BJ's, but I'll do it for us. Uh it's just uh shorter because of space, but man, you you've got the Dodgers manager talking smack about the logistics of having to travel to Toronto already. What do you guys? What's your take on this? Are we going seven, five, six, five? What are we doing here?

SPEAKER_15:

I think it's very important for the Blue Jays to take game three tonight because uh the Dodgers, and I'm not sure of the format. I don't know if they're two three two or two two one one one. You know, not sure the format, but if it's two three, two, you know, the Dodgers being home the next three games, man. The Blue Jays better, they better win this game right here, or it could get ugly.

SPEAKER_07:

Yeah, I uh yeah, I wanted the Dodgers to win, man. To win it all. I'm just a I'm a fan of Magic Johnson and and the group that uh that purchased the Dodgers, but uh uh I don't know, man. The Blue Jays just look they're swinging the bat and they're they're making plays, man. So I don't know.

unknown:

I don't know.

SPEAKER_15:

It's gonna be a tough uh battle. And and honestly, man, I'm kind of you know, uh, you know, I'm a Drake fan. I I do I want Toronto to win it just just because I'm a Drake fan, but but I'm also a nationalist. You know, I want the uh Dodgers to win it. Because I, you know, and I used to live in Canada and you know play play Canadian football, so I'm well aware of the uh national anthem up there, but and they're pretty close to being Americans, but yeah, I don't know, man. We we keep that title on on soil here, and and if the Yankees can't win the East and win the the uh you know American League, then I'd rather somebody else win the the World Series or the National League. I don't want Toronto to win it like that. So I guess we'll go go Dodgers.

SPEAKER_03:

You know what? We'll go for the traditionals. Toronto, man, they've had a good program, but are they closer to being Americans or are we close uh closer to being Canadians?

SPEAKER_07:

That's a great question, Sean.

SPEAKER_15:

I'm gonna say they're close to being Americans. Man, Canada's a beautiful place to live, first of all. Yeah, but that's only if you're living in Toronto, which is comparable to New York, or you're living in Vancouver, which is where I live, and they compare that to LA. I mean, those two cities, man. I mean, they're smaller than those two major American cities, but they're they're pretty large. I mean, I know Vancouver, we have three, four million people, and I believe Toronto is about the same, but big cities, man. You know, they're they're metropolis type of cities and hustle and bustle. Those are great places to be.

SPEAKER_03:

Man, I love it. I love it, man. The fact that you guys are all over this baseball. I love the game, but I'll say it again, man. I I have lost. I'm a I'm a sore loser. I love my Rangers, man. And I was riding sky high when they won the World Series a couple years ago, and they're back to square one. But hey, for a great game, I'm all for it. I hope the viewership continues to rise. I mean, you got two good sized markets. I mean, LA is one of the top three markets in the in the country, right?

SPEAKER_15:

Right, right. Lots of love, playmaker. Yes, sir. All week, all the time, man. Appreciate you guys. Another great episode, and a lot of great football on this weekend, man. So just you know, I think a lot of guys survive the uh the GU team this week. That's a good way of putting it. Yeah, great way of putting it. You know, that Florida State job, that's still kind of out there. They said they're gonna wait until the end of the year. So yeah, man, a lot of blue chip, a lot of um blue blood programs, uh making changes early.

SPEAKER_03:

This is this is the new norm that I believe is taking place here. This is we gotta we gotta get used to it.

SPEAKER_15:

Yeah, no doubt.

SPEAKER_03:

So, man, it's a uh it doesn't matter what I think. I'm just showing my age that I'm trying to be resistant to it, but uh embrace change, embrace change, embrace change, it's a constant um can't be in that kind of class, yeah. Exactly.

SPEAKER_15:

The the power of people don't even think I knew words like that. That big no hey, I know your vocabulary is exactly I did graduate from the University of Texas now, so that's you know, change change happens, and and and you're you're uh one of the leaders of education in the great state of Texas, no doubt about it.

SPEAKER_03:

Hey, the college football this week's post week nine, power 12 and four on the outside. You can find that on our social media platforms as well. And I'll just make it before we let him go. There's a new addition to it. It's his son's current program. Hopefully, they stay there. Louisville is in it on the four on the outside.

SPEAKER_15:

They're climbing, they're climbing.

SPEAKER_03:

Let's go, cards. Let's go, Mike Adams. Let's go, Adams family. Go horns, go cards.

SPEAKER_15:

We gotta throw that L up.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, hey brother, we'll be in touch. We appreciate you always. Yes, sir, man. Have a good week. We'll be in touch soon. We'll see you, my man. Welcome, baby. We're gonna hear from um another the kicker for the long horns as he promotes shows us how he's gonna promote our NIL partner, Hargrove Roof.

SPEAKER_11:

So, what I like to do is I like to get on the roof. And then I like to roofing.

SPEAKER_03:

Austin, Texas is changing every day, but one constant is Dirty Martin's place on the water. Dirty's recently celebrated 98 years young, and the future is stock. And this space in the back is open to host any event, personal or business related.

SPEAKER_00:

Hey everyone, it's Daniel here at uh Dirty Martins. We're in the Burn Orange Room. We are currently uh booking a lot of parties back here. As you can see, we got a capacity for about 90 people, but we are excited to host uh any party that you might want to bring.

SPEAKER_03:

Give Daniel Young a call at Dirty's to reserve this space for any event that you can think of.

SPEAKER_14:

And he breaks it right down the middle. Crunch them, and he avoids the contact with twin things on his feet, and then he turns into a bannering ram down inside the 10-yard line.

SPEAKER_02:

Go to the draw. Look at those offensive linemen out there in front of me. Now, watch this looks for contact here, punches out, dishes off again, looks for contact again, just a bull and a Johnnacall.

SPEAKER_03:

Um Stevie Lee, that's Caleb Crenshaw, running back at Anderson High School, started out at LBJ. He only needs 255 yards rushing in the final two games plus the playoffs to surpass Cedric Alexander as the AISD rushing king.

SPEAKER_07:

He keeps running like that. Looks like he'll get it.

SPEAKER_03:

Oh my god. You guys physical, he's got size, man, and not many offers at all. That's but that that surely will change. So, hey, shout out to Caleb Crenshaw and the Anderson Trojans, who are undefeated still. And hey, our ATX high school football team of the week for week nine. The Blanco Panthers. They gave Lexington their first loss of the season. Blanco is the leader of that small, smaller classification district, uh, and they run that traditional slot T. Kent Walker, who used to be the Liberty Hill coach, is now the first-year head coach at Blanco. So, congratulations to the Blanco community. Hey, our TikToking the Man Cave. It is a former Alabama softball player, turned comedian and singer. She kind of gives us an idea of what it was like in the dugout when uh she was visiting Baton Rouge as a player against the LSU Tigers.

SPEAKER_09:

Went down to Baton Rouge, my sophomore year. I'm playing shortstop, and my coach has a rule: you are not allowed to interact with the fans. Don't look at them, don't smile at them, don't wave at them. And all game long, I had seen this little boy wearing an LSU shirt up on the heel. Number 15, you're my favorite player. And he had done this the second, the third, the fourth, the fifth, the sixth end, and then finally on the 17th. And I'm like, you know what? Look over at coach. He's not looking. I wave at the little boy. He goes, fuck you, number 15.

SPEAKER_07:

That sounds about right, man. That's LSG. And then that's why it was amazing to see that AM ran those drunk Asians out of that stadium. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03:

That's wild. Wow. Wow.

SPEAKER_07:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03:

Hey, Danae Hayes is her name, comedian, singer, former Alabama softball player. She's hilarious. Good follow on Instagram. Don't get me wrong. I don't know how I picked up on her. I saw it and I was like, man, this girl's funny. Yeah.

SPEAKER_09:

Hey Ben, tell me something good.

SPEAKER_03:

All right, Stevie, we're already. We're in the month almost. Well, we gotta celebrate Halloween. First off, tell me something good. Secondly, have you chosen a costume yet?

SPEAKER_07:

I did not choose a costume. I'm not gonna choose a costume. I just walk around the neighborhood drinking with my neighbors. But um, something good for me though, man. Golly, you probably know where I'm going with this. It is another home game at DKR Stadium. We've been golfing for over a month. Man, and I'm so happy. I got something to do on Saturday here is to go and see all my rowdy friends in in my rowdy section and um and and and watch um the the my Texas Longhorns beat up on the Van D. What what are they Commodores? What are they Commodores? Commodores, yeah. So come out of Texas. I really need this. Uh it's gonna be fun, man. That's something good for me. I'm really looking forward to it.

SPEAKER_03:

I love it. I'm gonna say the same thing. Um something's good is that college football season, and I'm not gonna go poetic on life and life lessons, I'm just gonna keep this simple. Um, college football is so beautiful and poetic in itself, it and we all romanticize it because every week is different, every week and it just builds momentum, and the October onboarding to November is perfect because now for us, we're an SEC country, even in the Big 12, and it just even in the high school ranks, every game means something, and the fan base knows it. The fan bases know it. It's a beautiful thing. I guarantee you. Saturday morning, it doesn't matter how early the game is. I'm just speaking in particular for Texas, it is gonna be like a family reunion for Texas fans to get to go back for the first time since September.

SPEAKER_06:

Yep.

SPEAKER_03:

That's great. I can't wait to see all of our people, chosen beverage, breakfast taco, and SEC football. It may be a few better. We gotta stay hydrated, Stevie.

SPEAKER_07:

No question.

SPEAKER_03:

Hey, great episode! Shout out to Mike Adams, the playmaker. Always good input, and thank you for staying up uh with us here on uh I know we started at 8:30 tonight, and thank you for always, always supporting stories inside the Man Cave Podcast. And for Shreeport, Louisiana, the home of Stevie Lee and the home of our growth grouping at Nakadosis, Texas, the home of my college alma mater, my beautiful hometown, Austin, Texas, maybe a better place. And to all of you, wherever you're from, we love you. We thank you. Be sure to follow each of our social media uh platforms and to Stevie Lee and his family and everybody else, and to the OG Man Cave boys. That being Big Mike, Coach Mo, and Hardball Hard. What do we tell him, Stevie Lee?

SPEAKER_07:

We out. I'm in my car to get out of the day,
