So when I was praying and asking the Lord about a word for today, this is the the scripture that he gave me and the title that he gave me because I know that so many of us are down right now and we've been we've been stricken with uh illnesses and uh deaths that have touched us in our own personal lives with our own families, and so this is the word that the Lord gave me for today. It comes from John ten, the Gospel of John chapter ten, verse ten, and this is what the word says The thief does not come except to steal and to kill and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly. So the word that the Lord gave me for today is get busy living. Get busy living. If you begin reading at the beginning of chapter ten, you'll see that a lot of a lot of Bibles entitled this sec this section Jesus the true shepherd. And it is Jesus talking, and there are three main persons that are talked about in this section of scripture. It's Jesus the Good Shepherd, it's the sheep, and it's the thief. And if we were to look at this like a story, a fictional story, we would see that Jesus the Good Shepherd is the star of the show. He's the the main character in the story. The sheep, that's all of us, all of the people, all of the background, all of the ones in the forefront of the story. That's the sheep. And then the thief is the antagonist, the enemy, the troublemaker, if you will. But even though this seems like a story, this is us, this is real life, this is our lives lived out, and the choices that we have to make. And so the word says that we're like sheep, we're mindless, we're clueless, we're dumb, if you will, to what's going on around us many times. We don't see, we try to see with our physical eyes, but we need to use our spiritual eyes, and even then we need guidance, we need guidance. So, on one hand, you have the thief who's trying to guide us, and then you have Jesus, the good shepherd. But the word says that the thief only comes to kill, steal, and to destroy, to kill our peace, our joy, destroy our relationships, our marriages, to steal our time, doing no-count mindless things to steal our energy and our health by doing things like partying too much and drinking and overeating and not exercising and just being lame, so to speak. That's what the thief comes to do. All the things to steal, kill, and destroy everything we know and everything we do or try to do in order to live. But Jesus, but Jesus, the good shepherd, Jesus says, I come that they might have life. Not just not just life, but life and have it more abundantly, more abundantly. Because you know, when you think about life, if your heart is is beating, you can have life. There are people in the hospital that are brain dead, they don't even know they're in the world, their heart is beating, they have life, so to speak, but they are not really living. And then there are those people who have not accepted Jesus Christ who are the walking dead, they don't know they're dead, but they are dead in their sins and trespasses. Because if you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you're walking around in your sinful nature, you're as good as dead. Because Jesus came to be the resurrected life for us. Here now, life with more purpose. And then a few chapters later in the book of John, you'll see the story. I think it's maybe even one chapter later, you'll see the story of Lazarus, who was dead. And Jesus brought him back to life. That's the Jesus we know that can resurrect us from the deadness of our lives to a new life with meaning. That's why Mary Magdalene was was was was willing to follow Jesus, and and Peter was fill willing to follow. And so many others, so many of us. If we know Jesus, the word says we fall down, but we can get up, get back up again. And that's the Jesus that is here in John 10 10, where it says, I came that you might have life and have it more abundantly, not just living, not just existing, but enjoying life, being full of joy, and your life is full of fulfillment and purpose, and you look about and you see life among you, you're able to see your loved ones, see the flowers in the garden, the products that are growing, see the animals, the birds singing. My husband reminded me of a song that Marvin Wynan said sings that says that everything when God touches it, it has a song. When he touched the bird, the bird went tweedle dee dee. When he touches everything he touches, it has a song. And that should be us. We should be singing today God's praises. I once was lost, but now I'm found, was blind, but now I see. That's what Jesus does when he comes into our lives. So the word on today, even though we have issues and challenges and we have death, but death is a part of life. So don't die before you die. The word is get busy living because Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. That's it. That's the word on today. It's short, but it's powerful. Let us pray. Lord, we thank you for this word that encourages us. That if we have you, we have everything we need to get up, to go forward, and to live, to do those things that we desire to do, Lord. We walk by faith and not by sight, not by what we see, but by what we know is possible in and through you. We thank you on today. We ask you to give us more faith, more courage, more obedience, more knowledge, more love, that we may be the people that you would have us to be. We thank you, we praise you in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen on today, everybody. Thank you so much for joining us. I know the word was short, but sometimes it doesn't take all day. It doesn't take all day. And so we just thank you for joining us and we ask that you would go and enjoy the rest of your day. Now unto him who's able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God, our Savior. Be glory, majesty, dominion, and power, both now and forevermore. Amen. I want to congratulate all of the seniors, all of those graduating in whatever capacity, way it be pre-K, kindergarten, high school, college, whatever. Thank you, God, for them, and thank all of you for being a support and standing in the gap for their lives. Now go and be great for God.
