“Jesus' blood cries out for mercy. There is a sense in which we can say that Jesus' blood--being poured out into the cursed ground--also secures the new creation. There are depths here--depths that ought to make us fall on our knees, confess our sin and worship the God who sent His eternal Son to become the sin-bearing, curse-removing Second Adam! As John Henry Newman put it: O loving wisdom of our God, when all was sin and shame, a second Adam to the fight and to the rescue came! “

Jesus life had been in danger before it began. John said ‘The dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as He was born’ Rev 12:4. There had been the slaughter of innocence in Bethlehem and this, His first appearance as prophet at home. He would have slip through angry crowds repeatedly! They would seek to kill Him again and again. No justice would be found Good Friday just a kangaroo court, a screaming mob and the hateful hypocritical, religious elite! What was it about Jesus that sinful man wanted Him dead?
They were cursed but Lamb of God would choose not to slip away this time but to go to the cross, sacrifice His own life and remove that curse.
