When they hailed Him as King, sang Him Hosannas and put palms under His feet, ‘Jesus Read Their Palms’. Though Jesus loved Jerusalem, her people and their rightful praise, He knew their heart and though they gave Him a parade, He knew they were going to kill Him. Tragically, though they hailed Him as king and put branches under His feet He could read their palms and so, Jesus wept!
That infamy Jesus was willing to bear; and the strength of his confidence in God, His love for man, and the depth of His humiliation, was shown in the readiness and firmness with which He went forward to such a death.
