We once walked in darkness but Christ has given us light that we might walk in light. As your light shines before men, "they see your good works and then, may they glorify the Lord!"
They may choose to go back to darkness. We must not chase them or turn down our lamps but continue to shine in the darkness. Where light abounds, darkness cannot. Darkness only abounds where light is not. What they do, they do in the dark; what we do, we do in the light. We can have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds of darkness. There is a Necessary Division.
"Division is necessary. Light and darkness have no communion; God has divided them, let us not confound them. Sons of light must not have fellowship with deeds, doctrines, or deceits of darkness. The children of the day must be sober, honest, and bold in their Lord's work, leaving the works of darkness to those who shall dwell in it for ever. Our Churches should by discipline divide the light from the darkness, and we should by our distinct separation from the world do the same."
