The people of God had to realize while entering into the covenant promise, that it was only God that made their way prosperous and successful. It was only God who placed fear in the minds of the Canaanites and it was only God who stopped the Jordan. Now it was twilight on the plains of Jericho; a fresh start, a new day, a new beginning, but they must learn to trust the only true God who brought them there!
