I AM PASTOR DEB

2025 Palm Sunday: When The Applause Fades

Pastor Deb (IamPastorDeb)

Let’s be honest—some of us worship for the applause, we worship according to the beat of the music, and when the music stops, our worship also becomes silent. Some worship to appear holy.  Every Sunday morning speaking in tongues, which according to scripture is the evident of the holy spirit dwelling in you, but every Sunday night you are cuddled up fornicating.

We live for likes, retweets, claps, friend requests, shoutouts, and emoji hand-raises in our social media comments. We measure our worth by the volume of others instead of the value God already placed on us with the sacrifice of His life at the cross.

Matthew 6:1:

“Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them…”

Let me give it to you straight:

If your praise needs an audience, it’s not worship—it’s performance.

But when it’s real—when it's divine—you can worship in silence.
 You can worship with tears.
You can worship with an eviction notice in one hand and hope in the other.

That’s worship.  Real worship engulfs the elevation of faith
