43. Puritan Psychology vs Stuart Military Fiascos
Show Notes

Which war god came down to Earth in 1625 to lead the Stuart military adventures?  Was it Jehovah, Odin, Tyr or Thor?  Nope, it was a blind war god many have never heard of, Hod.

The 30 Years War is the masterwork of the blind war god. We discuss Sweden’s role as Odin’s favorite child.

After dealing with this aspect of Stuart rule, we touch on a surprising love story and then we begin our description of the colossal, almost unbelievable Stuart religious experiment in Scotland, which ends in total disaster.

We end with an exploration of the Puritan psychology, or mode of thought, way of being, however it should be named.  This is a tough one for modern people to get their heads around.  Hints have been dropped in earlier episodes, we go deeper here and will continue in future episodes as well.  Basically, I believe this to be of potentially high, very high importance to the miracle.  The Industrial Revolution and its consolidation depended on science.  And I’m not sure science is possible without this aspect Puritan mindset in the preceding generations.

A Fornebu episode, fans please note, the guest from Episode 28, the Dumbledore and Gandalf episode, is back.  This is also a really good one.
