Sunshine, Showers, and FAA Delays: The Weather You Need to Know
Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletieri and I am the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Wednesday. It's the seventh day of the month of May 2025. A couple areas of low pressure that along the Gulf Coast of Texas, extending into the central and southern Mississippi River Valley, will be a fixture for a day or two. In the meantime, some drier weather is moving into the northeast, although a frontal system is working its way down into the eastern Great Lakes and also into the central plains states, and that could be causing showers and thunderstorms in both places. In the meantime, though, high pressure is across just over the central and northern Great Lakes, extending into the Dakotas and all the way out to Montana. So, finally, some nice weather for the Rockies and the Pacific Southwest. Pacific Northwest, though, is still showing some isolated showers, but the weather forecast for the northeast corridor nice day today. Today or high temperatures ranging 70 to 75, just a slight chance of a shower, and at night it'll be fair tomorrow. Partly sunny on Thursday from DC to Boston and looking at temperatures between 70 and 75, but a better chance of some showers and thunderstorms with another weather front moving through and there could be some locally heavy downpours with those sometime on Thursday evening. Early Friday Highs on Thursday 70 to 75. Friday's high is a little bit cooler, generally in the 60s. On a more northeast flow.
Speaker 0:If you are flying on this Wednesday, keep in mind Newark Liberty has been having a lot of delays because of staffing problems in FAA and other non-weather related situations. But it does look decent up in Boston. No problems in the New York City area and out on the Long Island, dc and Baltimore. No major weather pictures. Problems expected for the daytime on your Wednesday Also generally dry in Cleveland Could be a late-day thunderstorm. Dry in Chicago, farah in Minneapolis, st Paul, some showers in central and south Florida, but not down by Miami and Fort Lauderdale. More just north of Volcachovian, from Fort Myers northward up to Tampa and in the Pacific Northwest, as mentioned, it looks like there's some showers and isolated thunderstorms possible in the Seattle-Hekoma area later in the day on your Wednesday. I've been your moderator, steve Pelletier, and I'm the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to you first thing on Thursday. See you then.
