Your Weekend Forecast: Sunny Days with Evening Storm Chances

There's still a few lingering showers around in the early going this morning too, but as the day wears on, more storms will be forming, probably pretty much up along the eastern seaboard, from eastern Kentucky and Tennessee through Alabama, mississippi, georgia, the Carolinas and into the Virginias and of course, into the northeast. We'll have scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the daytime as temperatures range into the middle 80s as we head towards Friday, saturday and Sunday across the northeast corner. Each day will be about the same Each day partly to mostly sunny, each day having that chance of a late day or early evening thunderstorm in spots, as temperatures range in the 80s, generally to the lower 90s in the cities and some of the warmer spots in the northeast. If you're traveling today, expecting showers and thunderstorms in Atlanta but also into Charlotte as well, weather situation improving just a bit.
Speaker 0:In South Florida it looks like at Fort Myers generally fair skies with some isolated thunderstorms and thunderstorms mostly offshore of Miami, fort Lauderdale and up to West Palm, but there could be some stray thunderstorms from time to time during the afternoon, but no major problems there. Houston's looking dry. Dallas and much of central Texas will be on the drying side as the day wears on, but still quite a bit of heat, fair skies, but also a little bit cooler in chicago and minneapolis, st paul, with some heavy severe weather working its way into the dakotas and central and northern eastern sections of nebraska, western iowa. So something we're watching for some severe weather out there during the afternoon and evening today. West coast generally dry conditions from san diego, la, San Francisco A little change there, some patchy fog in the morning and evening. It looks like some rain will be moving into Portland and Seattle a little bit later on on Friday and into the weekend. Four corners showing the monsoon weather continues and lots of showers from Montana across through Idaho and into central and northern portions of Utah, western Colorado, during the daytime and evening.
