Sweating Through Saturday: The Weatherman's Weekend Report
Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I am the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom. On your 12th day of July, your Saturday, 2025. Looking at well hazy and humid weather across the northeast corner Doesn't look like a lot of rainfall, but there'll be some scattered showers and thunderstorms, typical for mid-July and with temperatures in the 80s to near 90s, touch above normal for this time of year, but fairly typical in these parts During the daytime today, again 85 to 90, or the lower 90s in cities like Baltimore, philly or New York City. And also looking at about the same type of weather pattern for Sunday, with temperatures 80s to lower 90s and that late-day thunderstorm threat, better chance of some showers and thunderstorms on Monday. This has a weather front slowly charging through the western Great Lakes and central plain states. We'll be arriving in the east. As it gets closer to the east because of the Bermuda High effect offshore, we usually get it stalling somewhat and it sort of keeps the clouds and the chances of showers in our area for at least a couple of days and it's probably possible right up through about midweek. Then towards the end of the week we get back into some heat and humidity once again about midweek, then towards the end of the week we get back into some heat and humidity once again. So it's going to be typical weather for this month of July, for this weekend and also looking ahead for this upcoming week.
Speaker 0:If you're flying today, it looks like good weather in Atlanta some scattered showers and late-day thunderstorms. In Charlotte, very few problems down in central and south of Florida. Miami looking generally fair, also fair conditions, no major weather delays expected for Fort Lauderdale or West Palm. Fort Myers could have some afternoon thunderstorms, as is typical this time of year. Central and West Texas some locally severe weather, but generally dry in Houston and dry in the Dallas area early, but some late day and evening locally severe thunderstorms are possible with the heat and humidity really driving into there. Chicago also looking at some showers looks like clouds and fog in the Minneapolis-St Paul area but no major problems flying in and out of there.
Speaker 0:Looks pretty good for San Diego, la and San Francisco. Also Portland and Seattle dry weather expected. West weather actually the worst weather that we're seeing is going to be over West Texas and also over New Mexico. Some locally severe weather is expected there over the next couple of days. I'm Indy, ronda, steve Pelletier and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to you first thing Sunday. See you then.
