Hi, this is Media Router Steve Pelletier and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Thursday. It's the 28th day of the month of August. There's a few days left to this beautiful month of August. That's been a little bit cooler than normal, also definitely drier than normal. That dry weather will continue right through the end of the month and also bring us into early September. Monday and Tuesday are also looking quite nice as well.

Weather for the northeast corner that includes Richmond, dc, baltimore, philadelphia, new York, all the way up to Hartford and Boston, and we're looking at generally fair skies to continue through the next several days right in through the holiday weekend. Although a little weather front currently moving through the eastern Great Lakes will be arriving. Most of the moisture associated with that system is going to dry out by the time it reaches here sometime later in the afternoon on Friday. Then, with the weather front moving through high pressure currently across Lake Superior and the southern Great Lakes, will continue to build eastward, reinforce the high pressure and give us good weather right through early next week. So sunshine today, tomorrow and also on Saturday, each day, with highs in the 70s to near 80 degrees and again at 20% to maybe 30% chance of a shower later on Friday and Friday night. By Saturday, sunday and Labor Day, monday all looking sunny each day, highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s. The fair weather trend continues into early next week.

If you're traveling, today looks like good weather in Atlanta and Charlotte, new York City of course, and the Washington DC Baltimore area. No problems weather-wise there. It's also going to be dry in Boston. A little weather front moving through Chicago could cause some isolated delays, but the front's very weak out there so it'll be moving through. And central and south Florida showers and thunderstorms still with us, but nothing as severe as it had been the last couple of days in some places and it looks like some showers in Houston, dallas, fort Worth, but also mostly on a dry side. Those showers and thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon and evening, four corners showing still a lot of rain. Most of that rain extends to the central Rockies now all the way up into western Montana, idaho and Wyoming and still over central and southern California. The possibility of some isolated showers, with LA with the possibility of some showers. It looks like some dry weather for San Francisco, portland and Seattle.
