Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I'm the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom. On Saturday, the 30th day of the month of August 2025. As we start off the Labor Day weekend across the Northeast, high pressure currently across the Great Lakes, building towards the east-southeast looks like it's going to give us great weather for today, tomorrow, right in through Labor Day Monday. Also, tuesday and Wednesday are looking dry and with daytime highs each day in the 70s and near 80, nighttime lows in the 50s. Probably notice that it's getting darker a little bit earlier each and every day and we're starting to really see that and feel it.

Now. Sun's angle is about the same as it is in the month of April and, that in mind, the average temperatures will continue to fall each and every day right through the upcoming month of September, but we also get some very beautiful weather during the month of September as well, so let's hope forward to that. For the first 10 days it looks like basically dry and fair. Looking at the nation right now, if you're traveling today, it looks like fair conditions in Charlotte and Chicago, new York. Also up in the Boston area, no problems weather-wise there. Area low pressure across northern Maine and northern sections of New Hampshire and Vermont will continue to move up through New Brunswick, canada, and then up to the Canadian Maritimes. As it moves, generally offshore High pressure builds into this region, so no problems weather-wise.

There Looks like the possibility of some thunderstorms, with central and southern Florida being the main culprit. Frontal system just about over Louisiana, down to the western panhandle of Florida and then just north of Orlando, south of Jacksonville, that's causing quite a bit of showers and thunderstorms there and that will be the heaviest rainfall in north Florida. South Florida just scattered thunderstorms expected during the daytime today. Same thing for Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth some showers and thunderstorms from the stationary front that's generally across central Texas to the Gulf Coast and on the west coast. Looks like dry weather for San Diego, la, all the way up to Portland and Seattle, and that looks like that will continue for at least another 24 hours as well. I'm your host, steve Pelletier, and I'm the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today and great weather for this upcoming weekend. Talk to you first thing on Sunday, see you.
