From Cool Mornings to Mid-80s: Why This Fall Weekend Will Feel Like Summer

Stephen Pellettiere
SPEAKER_00:

Hi, this has been your brother, Steve Pelletier, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the Weathermanpod.com on your Friday. It is the third day of October in 2025. And we've had some great weather this week. Looks like more excellent weather coming up for the weekend for the Eastern Seaboard, actually from the Carolinas north, right up through the Virginias, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and New England. All fair skies are expected, probably right up through Tuesday. The next weather front may be in our vicinity sometime later, Tuesday or Wednesday, or even Thursday of next week. But until then, it's just going to be dry and a little bit progressively warmer. Highs for Friday of 70 to 75 for New York City and Philadelphia will be ranging to near the lower 80s on Saturday and Sunday, and possibly even into the mid-80s in some of the warmer spots, Baltimore southward to DC, and even into the Richmond area. But to the far north and east, it looks like generally a little sea breeze there would keep temperatures down into the upper 70s, both Saturday and Sunday. All places have that chance of lower 80s for Monday of next week. But of course, keep in mind that it is a warming flow, and many times your temperatures will get up to their highest around the early to mid-afternoon hours, but the sun is rising later and setting earlier each and every day. We're losing almost three minutes of sunshine each day, so those average temperatures will continue to fall. Just doesn't matter to have enough time for the sun to heat up the lower atmosphere. As we get into the month of October into November, you'll notice some very drastic changes in temperatures. Now, if you're flying today, it looks like great weather in Atlanta and Charlotte, D.C., Baltimore, Philly, New York, Boston area, all looking good, good in Chicago. Maybe a few still lingering showers up in Minneapolis, St. Paul, but dry weather in Houston and hot and dry in Dallas, Fort Worth. Dry in Four Corners, West Coast showing dry weather in San Diego and LA, but rainy conditions in San Francisco and the Bay Area looks like. Also rain in Portland and Seattle for today and tonight. I'm India Roger, Steve Pelletier, and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to you first thing on Saturday. See you then.
