High Pressure Holds the Northeast: Warm, Dry, and Travel-Friendly
Hi, this is BD Belcher Steve Pelletier, and I'm the Weatherman. Thanks for checking in to the WeathermanPond.com on your Saturday. It's the fourth day of October, 2025. And looks like some great weather continues for the Northeast Corridor. As a matter of fact, big area of high pressure extended from Newfoundland all the way down into the New England states and then basically right through the mid-Atlantic states, westward all the way to the eastern Great Lakes of Erie, Ontario, and Lake Huron. But it looks like uh the weather situation is going to remain quite nice at least up through Monday and Tuesday of next week. And we have a frontal system arriving around the middle portion of next week. That could bring us the possibility of some much-needed showers, but even that at this point looking very, very light and spotty, and that'll be for the middle of next week. It's going to be dry right up until then. So temperatures daytime today will be ranging from 78 in the cooler spots to about 84, up to 80 to 85, especially in New York City, up to around 85, 86 degrees is a possibility. Similar for Philadelphia and for Baltimore and DC. And for Monday and Tuesday, a little bit more of an east wind. We'll keep coastal temperatures a little bit cooler. Highs will reach the lower 80s. Then that frontal system arrives with the possibility of some scattered showers arriving in our vicinity towards the middle of next week. But again, as mentioned, at this point, it is looking uh on the light side, if any. If you are traveling by air today, it looks like great weather from New York out to Chicago, up to Minneapolis, St. Paul, so up to the Boston area, southward to D.C. and also into Charlotte and Atlanta. The weather's looking pretty good, as it will be in Tennessee at Nashville and Memphis. Also looking at fair but warm weather in Dallas-Fort Worth. Some showers are possible at Houston. So little delays there. Central and South Florida. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will cause some isolated delays in central and South Florida because of those tropical systems, especially during the afternoon hours. Looks like still some rainy weather moving into Portland and Seattle. And also some rain across sections of Wyoming, Montana, and Utah in southeastern Idaho. And that will continue probably right in through Sunday. I've been your Roger Steve Felletier, and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to your first thing on Sunday. See you then.
