Calm Now, Wet Soon: A Traveler’s Guide To The Coming Weather Shift

Stephen Pellettiere
SPEAKER_00:

Hi, this is Middle Roger, Steve Pelleterian, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the Weathermanpod.com on your Saturday, 25th day in the month of October, 2025. The month continues a rocket on by, and uh looks like the weather situation across the mid-Atlantic and northeast is going to be generally dry today. However, we do see little areas of showers across the eastern shores of Lake Erie in Ontario extending into northwestern Pennsylvania, central western New York extending also into northern portions of New York State at Roundex across through New Hampshire and Vermont. Also seeing areas of rain along the Texas Gulf Coast, extending from New Orleans all the way down to Corpus Christi, westward, all the way out to Amarillo, and north into Oklahoma, eastern Kansas, and sections of Missouri and Arkansas. Also, heavy areas of rain are moving into the Pacific Northwest. And it looks like that's going to continue to keep them under wet weather throughout the daytime today and through tomorrow. In the meantime, for the northeast corner, though, you'll look for sunshine giving away to an increase in clouds as high temperatures range in the upper 50s and lower 60s. Nighttime low temperatures will range back into the upper 30s, but there'll be some extra cloud cover overnight Saturday into Sunday. And then on Sunday, look for skies to be mostly sunny, about 55 to 62, depending upon where you are. A little bit warmer to the south, cooler to the north and east. And even on Monday, we're looking at partial sunshine. Tuesday, area of low pressure that's working its way out of the nation's midsection will probably intensify over the southern states and then start to spread from the mid-Atlantic north and east. So expect some showers for midweek and some rainy weather patterns extending from later Tuesday, probably right up through Thursday of this upcoming week. If you're flying today, looking good in Atlanta and Charlotte, no problems in New York, LaGuardia, JFK, up in the Boston area to Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington, D.C., no problems weather-wise, flying in and out of those places today. The other delays, but not because of the weather. Also looking at pretty good weather across Central and South Florida, Tampa St. Pete, Fort Myers, eastward to Fort Lauderdale, West Palm, and Miami. Looking pretty good. But it looks like rainy weather. IFR conditions and some thunderstorms and some delays going into Houston and into Dallas. Expect that. Also into Louisiana, into New Orleans, and also up to Baton Rouge. Also looking at areas of showers and some thunderstorms in Kansas City and also in St. Louis. Dry conditions in LA, San Diego, and mostly Central California, but as you get closer to San Francisco and further north, looks like rainy weather is expected, and rainy conditions also into Portland and Seattle today. I've been your bodies Steve Pelletier and I on the weather and hope you have a great day today. We'll talk to you first thing on Sunday. See you then.
