Winter Weekend Outlook
Hi, this is video bullet, Steve Pelletier, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPow.com on your Wednesday. It is the 17th day of the month of December, and we're looking at a nice day across the eastern seaboard, mostly sunny skies for the northeast Carter. Temperatures are range into the low to middle forties, holding in the upper 30s in northwestern Pennsylvania and northeastern sections of New York State and southern New England. At night it's going to be prepared to partly cloudy with overnight lows still cold 20 to 25. So when you melting we have during the daytime, refreezing again at night. Thursday, mostly sunny, 48 degrees, but rain moves in at night with a warm front. Temperatures down to about 41, and that rain will last into Friday morning. But in the afternoon, windy and cold weather with the next cold front. Temperatures will range in the 50s to start on Friday, but dropping back into the 20s at night and may even be some snow showers. Now, this is the first weekend of winter. As a matter of fact, winter starts on Sunday at around a little bit past 10 in the morning. Saturday's looking mostly sunny, high of 40. Sunday, first day of winter, officially. And that's going to be partly sunny at 46 degrees for Sunday afternoon. Now, if you're traveling today, generally dry weather across the eastern seaboard, good weather at New York, North LaGuardia, and JFK, no problems weather-wise there. And uh looks like fair conditions up in Boston as well. Any precept that we have across the northeast will be in northern New York State, northern Vermont, New Hampshire, and north and northwestern Maine. Frontal system poking through the area, just a little bit of cloud cover, but it will be dry in Charlotte, and also great weather in Atlanta, so no problems in and out of the Atlanta area. Looking at some scattered light showers later in the day in South Florida, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm, all looking pretty good except for that late-day shower threat. Rainy weather in Houston. That'll slow things down there. Dallas, Fort Worthy is going to be dry, and uh generally good weather for flying. Looks like dry conditions in Chicago, Minneapolis, St. Paul as well. A little bit of a warm front causing some milder conditions and a lot of melting up there. Los Angeles going to be dry, but looks like rain in San Francisco and more rain in Portland and Seattle, causing some flight delays there. Big Myth looks like a winter storm, central and western portions of Montana and northern Idaho. That'll be spilling into the central plain states, but a lot of warm air ahead of it. Looks like there's going to be that rain that will be arriving in the east sometime on Thursday night or an early Friday. I've been your Steve Pelletier, and I am the Weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to your first thing tomorrow. See you then.
