Hi, this is Meteor Roger Steve Pelleterian. I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the Weathermanpod.com on your Tuesday, sixth day of the month of January 2026. And well, so far through December and into early January, at least up to the sixth and seventh day. We're showing temperatures below normal. And it's well below normal. So almost not a record, but uh last time, as I mentioned, we had uh this cold of a flow across the northeast quarter of the nation was about uh to 2010, 2011, that's winter season. And uh we did have about seven years ago uh something that was similar, but uh we're in a situation now where it's going to warm up this week. Um everybody talks about the January thought, usually happens between the 20th and the 25th, and uh this year it's gonna happen a little bit earlier. Uh it's gonna be uh this week and into this weekend. As a matter of fact, rainy conditions expected for Friday and Saturday with a sharp cold front moving through on Sunday will set us back to near-normal conditions as we head towards Sunday and early next week. And I mean time for today, good deal of cloud cover across the northeast. There'll be some rain, maybe some ice across the central and northern portion of New York State, interior and western portions of Massachusetts, western and northwestern Connecticut, icy conditions because the surface temperatures are quite cold and uh not only that, but air temperatures are going to be very, very slow to lift. Uh in the New York area, we're probably going to find temperatures up to about 35 to 40 with some drizzle or some showers during the afternoon hours. And then it looks like we get into nice weather for both Wednesday and Thursday before the rainy situation arrives for Friday and Saturday this upcoming weekend. So look for temperatures uh daytime in the upper 30s, lower 40s today, and uh looking at uh temperatures going well into the 40s to near 50 for Wednesday and Thursday, and even into the 50s with that rainy weather Friday and Saturday of this week. If you are traveling by air today, well, the situation for the Northeast uh still shows some of that uh ice in the Boston area, so there could be some delays in and out of Logan. Looking at also the possibility of uh clouds and some maybe lower uh clouds and visibilities in and around JFK, LaGuardia and North could slow things down a bit there, but nothing major. Uh Philadelphia is looking fine, as is Baltimore, D.C., and Dulles, and all the way down to Richmond. Charlotte is going to be dry for the most part, but cloud cover. Looks like some showers in Atlanta, but nothing much. They handle it all the time. And looking at uh very good weather in most of Florida, except for South Florida, where there'll be some scattered late-day thunderstorms. Should not have any effect on travel in and out of Miami. Houston and Dallas are looking dry. Chicago dry, Minneapolis, St. Paul, also dry. Finally, some better weather, a little bit better weather in LA, a possibility of some showers in San Diego, but rainy weather in San Francisco continues. Uh, some drying expected for then in Portland and Seattle later today. I'm Eddy Major, Steve Pelletier, and I am the Weatherman. Hope you have a great day today on this Tuesday. Talk to your first thing, midweek on Wednesday. See you then.
