Arctic weekend!

SPEAKER_00:

Hi, this has been your brother, Steve Pelletier, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPod.com on your Wednesday. It's the fourth day of the month of February 2026. And it looks like some decent weather across the northeast. High pressures building in from the Great Lakes. Should give us decent weather today, still a little bit below normal. Normal high should be up around 35, 37 degrees today. It'll be just around 30. Looking at a good amount of sunshine, though. At night it'll be down to about 10 to 15 for nighttime low. So we're getting back into some of that colder weather. Another Arctic outbreak is moving down out of Central Canada. It'll be arriving this weekend. But first Thursday will be another sunny day, upper 20s, lower 30s. By Friday, though, sunshine gives way to an increase in clouds and a strong Arctic front moving through sometime in a later afternoon, early evening hours, could be preceded and accompanied by some locally heavy snow squalls. As temperatures will be falling back down into the single digits during the overnight and highs on Saturday and Sunday of this weekend across most of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast will only be in the teens to lower 20. So sharply colder weather, about 15 to 17 degrees below normal, coming up each day for this weekend into early next week. Then we do see a little bit of moderation towards the middle of next week. Now, if you're traveling today by air, looking at uh good weather in the New York area hubs at Newark, LaGuardia, and JFK. No problems weather-wise there. Looks like decent conditions up in Boston. Uh cloud cover and maybe some snow showers in D.C. and Dulles, but down to Charlotte's, we overcast in rain. IFR conditions, some slower weather getting into both Charlotte and Atlanta today because of the weather. It does look like decent weather in central and South Florida. Tampa, St. Pete down to Fort Myers, over to Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm. All looking pretty good weather-wise. And uh on a mild side, too, some pretty nice weather down here in South Florida at this point. A little bit cooler than it should be, but not bad for early February. Fair skies in both Houston and Dallas, Fort Worth, Chicago. Also cold, cold weather in Minneapolis, but dry. Looks like good weather in San Diego, LA, and San Francisco. Also dry weather continues across the Pacific Northwest and Seattle and Portland. I'm Eddie Rogers, Heat Fellow Terry, and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. It looks like uh you're gonna get set for more bridge cold weather coming up for this weekend. Until then, sunny days a day, upper 20s, low to mid thirties around the area. That is the weather story.
