Setting The Forecast Stage

Hi, this is Midi Roger Steve Pelletier. I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the Weathermanpod.com on your Tuesday. It's 10th day of the month of February, 2026. This month, one third of the way through already. And well, we started off averaging at this point, looks like about 10 degrees below normal across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. That's because of that persistent northwesterly flow. It's been bringing all the cold air down across from Minnesota, the central and northern Great Lakes, and down in eastern and southern Canada, and right in through the eastern seaboard. From the mid-Atlantic states northward, right up through the Boston area. And of course, during the first portion of this month of February, down in the Carolinas, they had a storm, snowstorm there. Same thing we had last year around this time, and uh this time it was a little bit more in some places between eight and twelve inches of snowfall in central and even coastal North and South Carolina sections of Virginia and West Virginia. Across the Northeast, though, uh we had our decent storms on uh late January, the 25th, when we had that uh average 10-inch snow and ice storm. Uh then we had the strong frontal system move through on Friday night, early Saturday. Now the amount of snowfall from that across the Mid-Atlantic Northeast, basically about a third of an inch to maybe an inch in some places, especially across the north shore of Long Island. Uh central and northern Connecticut got a lot of snow from that one. And that front move through. We had that frigid Arctic air with us on Saturday and Sunday. Started to leave today. At least temperatures went in the 20s, close to 30. Tomorrow should be going into the 30s, and it looks like uh we'll even have some milder weather through the midweek. We'll be arriving sometime either uh later Wednesday or early Thursday. A little bit cooler, but not much. And then uh we get back into some near-normal conditions as we head into the weekend. So for Tuesday, looks like thickening cloud cover will bring us the possibility of some snow showers or flurries, or high temperatures of 35. Could be some rain or snow showers on Tuesday night, early Wednesday, with a little warm front moving through nighttime lows down to 27. Highs all the way up to near 40 on Wednesday, or the upper 30s and lower 40s, and Thursdays looking sunny, but cooling back a bit. 30 to 35, about the same on Friday. Saturday sunshine, 37, Sunday. Looks like uh increasing clouds, and even the possibility of some rain and snow late day and evening. Sunday's high temperatures up to 36 degrees. Expected. Now, if you're traveling by air today on this Tuesday, looks like fairly decent weather across the mid-Atlantic and northeast. Now, there is the possibility later in the day and at night, the possibility of a little bit of light snow and snow showers on Tuesday and Tuesday evening, then even the possibility of some rain showers just courtesy from an area of low pressure out of the Ohio Valley. And that will be moving in probably Tuesday night, early Wednesday. So there could be a little mixed precipitation, but does it look like any major problems for departing from New York, LaGuardia, JFK, Newark, and even up in the Boston area, it looks dry at this point. Albany will have some snow, as will Messina and out in Rochester, but it does look like some drier weather in Buffalo. Cleveland looking pretty good, and in Chicago looks like generally fair conditions, but seasonably cold there. Minneapolis, St. Paul also, with uh generally uh cloudy, then becoming sunny weather and very cold, as temperatures will only range in the teens during the daytime today up there. Mid and southern portions of Florida looking dry, dry in Houston, some showers moving into Dallas Fort Worth. Looks like some rain moving into West Coast. Los Angeles could have some rain later day and evening, as will San Francisco. Chicago, uh, excuse me, in the San Diego area, you're looking at uh some clouds and maybe some showers late day or early Wednesday up in the Pacific Northwest, Portland and Seattle. A lot of cloud cover, but it looks like limited rain at this point. We see another area with low pressure off in the Pacific, and that's going to be bringing in some rain. So there could be some slight delays into the Pacific Northwest. I'm Eddy Rob Justine Fellow Tierry and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. And I'll talk to you first thing on Wednesday. See you then.
