Today’s Northeast Forecast
SPEAKER_00Hi, this is BD Roger Steve Pelletier, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking in to the WeatherMedPond.com on your Wednesday. It's the 11th day of the month of February, 2026. And we had a little bit of freezing rain in some sections across the northeast during the overnight hours. So a little bit icy in the early going this morning. But as the day wears on, it will turn out mostly sunny, and we're expecting fair conditions for about the Virginias all the way up through eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and into southern New England. It does look like another cold front arriving during the latter portion of the day, and that night should be basically dry, but it's going to set the stage for slightly below normal temperatures for both Thursday and Friday, but then warming up to near normal conditions as we head into the weekend. It basically looks dry from this point today, right up through at least Sunday or even into early next week with near normal temperatures. In the meantime, though, look for sunshine today as the temperatures range into the middle to upper 30s, lower 40s across the area. And for the nighttime, it'll be fair down to the mid-20s and tomorrow. Sunny weather, mid-30s on Thursday, and Friday, mid-30s, both days, temperatures at night, down into the teens. But it does look like warming to near 40, both Saturday and Sunday of this weekend. Now, if you're traveling by air today, we try to give you an idea of where the weather is going to be bad, so that might cause some delays, inbound and outbound to some of the area hubs. You know, major hub, the most the uh busiest airport in the world, of course, in Atlanta. Uh, and there they have a frontal system going through there. It looks like they'll get into a clearing trend during the afternoon, but during the morning, just some slight delays because of that frontal system and some showers, rain showers. Uh looks like snow showers across the eastern Great Lakes, say eastern portions of Lake Superior, Lake Erie, and Ontario. So that means Buffalo up to Rochester and Utica, Rome up to Messina, and even Syracuse could be getting some snow showers and squalls during the daytime today. But up in the Boston area looks dry. Also dry in New York City. Uh looking at Norwork, LaGuardia, and JFK, all looking pretty good weather-wise, no problems. In and outbound from those airports for today. Chicago's looking dry, dry in Minnesota. West Coast, though, looks like that rain's moving into LA. They're gonna have some pretty heavy rains. Could cause some highway and street flooding in many places, especially uh during the latter portion of the day and this evening. Low pressures moving right into San Francisco, so it looks like overcast and wet weather there. And into Pacific Northwest, Portland and Seattle are drying out. Looks like some pretty decent weather expected for there this upcoming next couple of days. I've been Roger, Steve Pelletier. I'm the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to you first thing on Thursday. See you then.
